i wouldn't be surprised if liverpool got relegated from the premier league this season!!
I love how liverpool show no respect , they were outplayed. It wasnt unlucky , it wasnt because they had no tops players (5-6 internationals , about 40million worth of talent). How much does it take to beat a league 2 side.

Liverpool were totally outplayed by a squad that cost a total of £0 ! , stop talking about how bad liverpool were and start talking about northampton. Northampton were completely unfazed by anfield (Famous atmosphere LOL). They passed the ball out of defence and were very unlucky not to win the game in both normal time and extra time.

Another point , young inexperienced players ? . both players who scored for northampton were picked out of non league in the last few years and are under 21. the average age of the northampton team was 22 with only two players over 25 and only one player had played at that level befor , so dont give me that inexperienced side bollox

This game was a prime example of liverpools arrogance , liverpool think they have a god given right to do well in the cup and challenge for the prem.

I dont see how man utd come into this discussion ,Its not about money. You did not need david villa to win this one. yeah man utd have more money but when they name a weaked side in the cup they normally have an insurance policy on the bench. Liverpool showed no respect to the side that had knocked out reading (the team who had comfortably knocked out liverpool the year befor) and paid a dear price

P.s my favourait part of the game was the 10 minute periord where northampton had like 5 corners and liverpool didnt leave their half. how great it was to see daniel "i wont play hoof ball" Agger slicing the ball into touch like they were 1-0 with ten minutes to go in the champiuons league final
yes, it is obvious liverpool was expected to win.
yes, northhampton played wonderfully.

really though, relax. i wouldnt go as far as to talk about who liverpool has respect for or anything. i dont know how you manage to know things like 'liverpool think they have a god given right to do well in the cup'

i think you may be just telling yourself that. clubs have their good moments and their bad. this one was a great moment for hamp, and an awful one for pool. ppl are so extreme here its hilarious. you act like liverpool staff or players openly disrespected the other team or somethin
The staff , ex players , fans Often share their delusions of grandure. Talking about title challenges when their squad simply isnt good enough.

The disrespect was shown by the fans in the comments befor the game , both on the internet and in and around liverpool on the day of the game.

I could quote a hundred liverpool fans talking about 4,5,6 even 10 nill thrashings prior to the game.

The disrespect shown by the manager was when he did not name any attacking threat on the bench.
Little clubs are Liverpool's kryptonite.
it's pathetic how many front-running man U fanboys bash liverpool because they don't have the unlimited budget to sign only the top players.

the team is going through financial troubles, with a new manager and several new players entering and a couple departing. nobody praised them for how close of a game they had against manU whos literal only winning element has been berbatov lately.

i mean, just in regard to manU fanboys, wheres rooney? took him 1000 minutes to finally get a goal and it was a penalty. that's sad from the guy whos been in football video game covers and tv adverts consistently for months. ferguson is lucky berbatov wasnt doing much while rooney was doing it all and now they've somewhat switched.

to kick a team when they're down shows character. coincidentally, all those doing the kicking only follow the top top teams. it's easy to root for the obvious winner. these are the same little babies who would never follow a real club that doesn't have to run an all star team to not even win the league.

womp womp. yeah, so liverpool has a ton of debt, switching owners, managers and players. they basically re-did the majority of the club. we can't all be oil barons spending upwards of $100mil on a-list players or have the finances to hire only top of the line staffing. credit is deserved for the real fans supporting them when they actually need it, not only when they win games. it's not like they're only playing the PL on top of dealing with the problems they have, they're playing 2-3 games a week with a squad that hasn't gotten alot of practice together. the luxury of having time and money is commonly overlooked from the big clubs and their fanboy supporters. remember manU fanboys, that team you're bashing nearly beat you had it not been for 1 person making all your goals.

looks like its a lobbed through pass to berb
looks like its a lobbed through pass to berb
looks like its a lobbed through pass to berb
looks like its a lobbed through pass to berb

wait, whats that? one of the highest valued players in the world barely make any effort since...before the world cup?

it really is just shameful to see all the people who bash a club who doesn't perform perfectly every single game of season. keep rooting for only the winning team ya fake front runnin fanboys. its okay, if manU loses just switch on the chelsea game and carry on.
i think the team you should be bashing is man city and not man utd
hodgson's tactics are questionable, the squad has no killer instinct on the pitch. hopefully he'll turn it around and soon, that being said, to all you wankers putting down my club, get bent!!!
lol are you man utd's number one hater? just cz liverpool isnt in great form right now doesnt mean you should take out your anger on man utd. and btw, man utd has finicial issues as well so you cant say s**t. even with this debt, we were 1 point from the league title last year. where was liverpool? 7th? yeh nuff said. as for "it's easy to root for the obvious winner. these are the same little babies who would never follow a real club that doesn't have to run an all star team to not even win the league.", people will generally like a team that wins, thus in time they will have more fans. its not man utd's fault that liverpool havent won in a while (or is it? lmao) and that liverpool doesnt have the most fans. my point it is, if your frustrated at your team, you do that, but dont come bashing next teams.
and like a true fanboy all you got from what i said was me being a manU hater. i dont hate on manU, what im referencing is the amount of liverpool-bashing people who watched this who support manU.

1 point from the league last year..i wonder if they would have even made 7th had rooney gotten injured like torres did? or if berbatov were to be injured now and have to rely on rooney again, whos effort is barely noticeable.

see, your narrow fanboy perspective only allows for you to understand things as a competition for fans. i'm not frustrated at my team, if you got what i was saying, you would understand that i support them. that they don't need to have a form full of W's for me to want to watch them play. there is no anger here, not from the likes of me at least, only sympathy for those who need to bash other teams to make themselves feel good. "nuff said" because you noted liverpool finishing 7th last year..you didnt win either..? and didnt bayern come back to ruin your other campaign?

note: the first thing i said was "its pathetic how many manU fanboys bash liverpool..." - all you did in your response was try to bash them more and compare fan totals and stats. you literally only prove my point further.

thanks.
how the f... could thats happen
Unbelievable. Huge congratulations to Northampton Town for beating Liverpool.
But where did it go wrong for the Reds? Everywhere? Probably. I don't understand why Torres, Gerrard et al. are still there. Will Liverpool be the first of the big teams to be relegated?
liverpool .......dying supports no matters
this is sad.. they dont look like a team performing at the top level
What...the...hell
What the f**k is wrong?
this is what happens when you buy crappy players
I'd rather walk alone
lol, so funny, hello seattleites ;)
hahaha
lol
haha
looool wally
Decent effort from Liverpool, I mean everybody knew this was going to be a tough game. I'm sure folks at the Liverpool office were just happy to get drawn against the mighty Northampton, since attendance was bound to be high. And after losses at Shrewsbury (1-3) and Torquay (0-3), Northampton surely appreciated having been handed an easier fixture for a change.
@Lumileppardi:
I see what you did there :) Awesome stuff
@Lumileppardi:
Good stuff mate :)
My my....How the mighty have fallen...Maybe now you scousers can shut up for once....Coz you are certainly walking a very lonely path...*all pun intended*
lol
will it ever turn around for these guys??hmmm
