Great game. Love the ending when Forlan scored. Undone by an ex-man utd player. That's the way the cookie crumbles. LOL

What this comment section needs is a comment from someone who is ACTUALLY an Atletico Madrid fan and has been for many many years. This one has never compromised, even in the darkest of times and has now seen his team make it to the finals. Brings tears to my eyes. But let me just say this... I deeply DEEPLY respect Liverpool, they are easily my favorite English team. I was there in Istanbul when they played against Milan one of the greatest games of football that I have ever seen in my life. Their fans are incredible. I wish Liverpool all the best. A Premiership title is due for you guys (and a La Liga one for us for christ sake!)

Liverpool showed some spirit and there were a few great scenes, but it's not like Atlético had only one shot at goal or like they were incredibly inferior. They were the luckier side in the end, but I don't think their going through is undeserved.

In my opinion both teams were nearly equal so no wonder why they got into over time, atletico was the better team in madrid, so liverpool at anfield, the only thing i dont like in football today is that there are so many wrong desicions in very important games, and its not only the sport, there´s so much money in at this level;

Benayon should have scored in madrid - not given, but NO OFFSIDE
Diego millito scored in milano - given, but OFFSIDE
Klose scored in munich against Fiorentina - goal given, but OFFSIDE

now which teams are now in the finals!!!!!

and last one of some worst mistakes ever,

the referees even said after the game it was their fault, but still the result stands, and that is not ok, look at the players they know it wasnt regular everyone saw it, but it stands

I dunno if you speak German, but in case you don't, the greatest thing about the vid is that the commentator has a look at the slow-mo and then says, AFTER seeing it, that whether it was offside or not is "the big question". Wtf

i speak german i come from austria and saw it live on tv in fact they won an important game 1-0 with that goal, even the other team was better the whole game, but in half time analysis the commentator said it was clearly offside, the referee assistance said after the game he had a black out, but still the result stands and you cannot change it, thats a big problem in football ---

ATLETI!!!!!!!!! We're in 2 finals now. I agree Liverpool played well, and obviously deserved to win the match, but this is what happens when you don't get an away goal...
