whoa Aguero has some good moves
Bad luck for Liverpool....Should have been a tie game.
Both Aguero and Forlan will incur AT Madrid to have at least $80M. I suddenly realise that Toress doesn't in good form any more. We might need any new replacement or an assistance to help in attack
screamer from forlan
None of the youngsters in defence tracked his clever run, and he was given acres of space but yes I take nothing from the finish, it was a special goal
nothing about it was a screamer though
Typical Liverpool. Blame their loss on the Ref. Ant's probably the only sensible one.
To be fair, Ferguson just blamed their loss against Chelsea on the ref. Can't say "typical Liverpool" without saying "typical footballers".
On FIFA09 Where you get updates about your team there was an article on how Ballack admitted that he blocked Evra and was given an unfair advantage so to some degree Fergie has a point.

Really bad luck for Liverpool and Torres, two penalties not awarded. What a goal by Forlan though, first touch of the ball already he's taking the shot on, and the shot was with such precision and accuracy.
okie we had some decissions going against us, but let's face it. We are very far from our best football, crdit to atletico they outclassed us for large periods. We have to improve quickly, last year we had that beautiful link up play between midfield and forward, which have not been the same during pre season. we need to be sharper and quicker to move the ball around, otherwise we are going to have the same problem as last year. team sitting down and closing us. Having said taht their were plenty of possitive, we just need some fine tunning and we should be rocking this year. YNWA
didnt think we played that badly perhaps with a bit more energy, i little more of a quicker tempo and a bit of luck that game would of been different, two centre backs 19/17 yrs old thought they looked a bit nervous but did ok i suppose!
Torres' run is a prediction of what this season's going to be for liverpool. He's going to have to do all of it by himself

Don't blame the referee. He's the same ref that sent off two Manchester United players against Fulham last year.

LOL, thanks ref..
lol atletico kicked a couple of good goals, and didn't do thath much
torres hit the post and shuda had a pen, nd lucas shuda had a pen, netiher of their tacklers got any where near the ball, maybe if that fat excuse for a ref cud keep up with the play he'd see something!
don't matter, torres and gerrard r gonna smash everyone this year
Damn Ref! he must have been paid!
atleti are lookin fierce.they got lucky though, with the two penalties we deserved it'd have been a different result. they just got lucky torres hit the woodwork. kun aguero needs to come to pool and stop scoring against us! also lucas was the last player i expected to score, didn't think he had it in him.
Forget the ref, doesn't matter. If you are relying on referee decisions to draw a game you probably don't deserve it. Lets give credit where credit is due. I watched the game and Atletico played some beautiful football. Liverpool were doing their best but on the day, Atletico wanted it more. They chased every ball, passed sublimely, good movement, great finishing.

The positives I will take from this match are that Johnson and Lucas are really looking like they have a great attacking side. Benitez said that in the off-season, Lucas was his best and most improved player, so that might show next season I hope. Both he and Johnson were walking around the opposition but the final ball lacked accuracy. Voronin never impresses me. I just think he always tries the complicated thing, even if there is a simple ball on.

All in all it was just another pre season warm up and we got some of the reserves out on the pitch (Spearing, kelly, nGog?)
