No kidding, a red in the first 7 minutes? That was absolute rubbish from the ref. So we played 10 men down and also without one of our squad's key players, of course it was difficult. Gareth Bale is an invaluable asset to our team right now, but every win, draw and goal of this season are things the team has worked on together. Yes, Gareth Bale scored a hat trick, and he does amazing things all through out the season, but we have VDV, Pavulychenko, Crouch, DeFoe will be back, Gomes is a solid goal keeper, and our defense doesn't break down(yes, Gareth Bale is a part of said defense, but so is Ledley King and Asou-Ekotto) like some do on the counter. I'm looking at you Barca, because I am a Barca fan but that only opens my eyes up even more to the horrendous lack of balance in the offensive and defensive play. The Spurs are better than a 'good' team, with the potential to be truly great. This is the best squad we've had in a long time, much better than a couple of years ago, and even back then we had Gareth Bale. He certainly adds a good degree of quality to our team, and we are bent on keeping him, but our team is nowhere near 'undeserving' of such a player. He is a part of the TEAM, 'nuff said.
