Oh this is oh-so-sweet. Sure, Ligue 1 is not looking good this year, but beating these Italians is so awesome. Man I wish I could have watched this game live. As for the poor Italian sports, I'm not surprised by a bunch of Italian fans whining. Italians have always been cheaters and sore losers. ALLEZ l'OM!
Good Inter is out.. Sad to see Napoli out but Inter was always a sure thing.

Not Inter's year

I'm so thrilled... the last time we were in 1/4 final champion's league was around 20 years ago... the last i was at san siro to support Marseille it was in 2004 when we won against.... Inter!!! hehe!

So sad to see so many in this forum who do not have the decency to lose with class and honor, even going as far as contesting the away goal rule!! Good on Marseilles and well deserved progression. You can call it luck over one game, but over 2 games, it's tactical acumen that wins the tie.
your right, YOUR 3 - 0 over Milan was luck is what you are sayin
I didn't say that. You think you're smart enough to twist my words and I'm dumb enough not to realize it. I said: "you can call it luck". The operative word in that sentence is "can". Just because someone can call me crazy doesn't me that I actually am. It's simple grammar.
you said "you can call it luck over ONE game" so I compared it to your ONE win over Milan....Luck, especially when you score 3 goals in one half and then do nothing for the rest of the game!
oh man #1? screaming at the camera hahahaha, what a joker
Mandanda is a hero

uhm notice the juliio cescar has difficulties stoping low shots, i hope he don't play for brazilian international club, there better goalies out there, like diego alves from valencia
farewell inter.. they wont have the chance to qualify next seasons CL

just like u hey... ;p

LOL^
wow surprised with the score... one of the best team is taken out one by one eh...
thats why I think if its 2-2 aggregated, just do penalties! who cares where you scored the goals!? everyone wants penalties! its only fair.

i think the same.. not saying it was unfair to inter or anything... but i think the "goals scored away from home" thing is unnecessary.... plus even uefa will make much more money if teams go to extra time or penalties, building momentum and making a game even more exiting.
Well away goals are valued as more for the simple reason that it's more difficult playing away from home. Penalties aren't exactly the most accurate way to decide who's deserving either but as a last resort.
I kind of agree though, If it's a draw over the two legs then it's a draw, it's always hard luck to go out on away goals

I like the away goals rule. The away goal is valuable and it avoids encountering very dull games where the opponent comes and defends the whole game in hopes that they can go and finish the tie at home. It makes for a more exciting match where both teams are looking for away goals so they can have at their advantage when it really counts, such as here.

ChaosStriker, I agree with you on that. And penalties are sometimes a rather annoying way to decide who is the winner, simply because the best team in both legs might not go through. But hey, it's better than before the penalty shootout rule, when the winner was decided by the toss of a coin...

Alot of teams still use this tactic though, many teams are happy to defend and play out a goaless draw in an away game, especially teams that are "less superior".
And if a home team gets the advantage in the first leg alot of times they will go into the away game just trying to defend their lead. Marsielle did that exact thing and if it wasn't for some shambolic defending and awful finishing by inter it would have backfired.
penalties would be unfair, because if this game had gone to penalties, inter would get more support and mersille would have been under more pressure cuz they were playing in san siro.

ps: completly sad for mandanda as the first yellow card (gain of time) was completly unjustified
a crap and boring game during 75 minutes, but the last quarter was genius, both teams scored lucky goals
mandanda was just incredible during the 1st half
marseille will need to show more in the quarters final but ayew brothers, cheyrou and remy can do great things
+2
your team played sh i t for 75 minutes we carved u open clearly on 3 occassions pls
Pretty boring, I dont know why ppl voted Marseille as playing awesome. Inter should have scored in the first 20 min( Milito chest, Maicon point blank shot).
thats how people always vote, deal with it
Mandanda got 2 yellows? lol.

Inter really fall from a very high last season.
breaks my heart went out with dignity total shame on our away performance because we totaly outfoxed them through the game as they say in french ce la vie

not too convinced with sneijder we need alvarez bak in the team asap:)
You weren't too ashamed last time when milito scored an OFFSIDE goal on Barca and it was allowed like as if it was just another typical goal.

Stop crying.
+1
i'm sorry but why are you bringing up the barca game at every chance you get, yet you're telling him to stop crying? lol

he's just expressing his thoughts on the game and there was nothing wrong with what he said.
Maybe you should ask Pique why he disgraced himself to get inter down to 10 men for a crucial fixture that could have easily cost them the tie.
Or the other decisions that have gone barca's way in the last couple years? Or are you just one sided?

Ahhhhh, feels good :)

Inter did cheat in the past to win but I'm over that now and the important thing is that they got knocked out and wont be putting their hands anywhere near the trophy.
And Milanistagirl, that was busquets that got inter down to 10 men, not Pique.
i got them confused, not that it really makes a difference...
+2
i doesnt make any difference who got inter down to 10 men cuz all barca players are diverrs and cheats. cheating and diving is one of the most important lesson they get to learn in la masia.
+3
The refs are hesitant to give Barca's opposing teams cards because the "biased" cries will start all over again, so then you have teams hacking down and chopping Barca. What can Barca do? Well their only protection is diving since ther efs aren't willing to back them up. If thats how other teams want to play it, we're all in. Id rather my team "dive" then get legs broken.

Pique is a beast and is banging Shakira while busquets is s**t
"It's a disgrace"
