I've watched Italian football for years but its not the league it was.Inter struggle in Europe because their just decent,in Italy their playing average teams.When they play in Europe their playing teams used to stiffer opponents with players capable of hurting them.I'd be surprised if any of these sides progress in Europe.Sorry to be negative but that's just what I think.Once this match would have involved Ronaldo,Baggio,Batistuta and Rui Costa and would have been a treat instead of one poor goal due to terrible defending.
i agree, i remeber the Thuram years at Juve and Batty as you pointed out, Serie A needs a new group of heros.. personally i miss the Rui Costa's, Baggio's and even Deschamps

I have had him from the start! He has certainly proved hes a great buy for 9 mil. I looked at his stats for the last couple of seasons with Genoa and Real Zaragosa, which were A+ and I saw him score an amazing goal in a friendly against AC Milan at the New England Patriots Stadium last summer. He has excellent composure in front of goal and has outstanding touches and finishing.
and seriously, I love Eto'o but for 15 mil he has only scored 8 goals and 2 assists compared to 13 goals and 3 assists by Diego Milito. Milito and Pedro from Barca are best strikers for the money IMHO.
Saw that game in New England. Milito was man of the match. I think he might have scored twice. He is indeed an excellent player. Had great composure, works hard, and seems to have a great attitude. I wonder if Maradonna will notice any of these traits and give him a chance in South Africa. I would love to see him team with Messi.

Sloppy Fiorentina defending. Gamberrini with an awful bear hug on the edge of the box, I don't see how thats not yellow. And Frey let in an easy one.

Fiorentina were great but not good enough. Inter have escaped once again this year. The Serie A title is in the bag for them.
