This game showcased the Jekyll & Hyde of Fiorentina... Beautiful attacking football, and some very ugly defending at times.

We need to invest in a good defensive midfielder because Donadel can't do it all on his own (not selling Melo would have been a start, though he was always going to move on), and another steady centre back. That said, Dainelli is playing the best I have seen, and now that Vargas has been transformed into an attacking left-winger, we can concentrate on defending the left flank. Christian Zanetti and Marco Marchionni have been great buys.

Next up, Fiorentina's bogey team, Lyon... Hope we can pull something out of this one.

Fiorentina are a great club with great history. Remember the Batigol era. Their fans deserve it. They play flowing, beautiful football with pace and skill. I think they can cause a few upsets this year. Their defence is the only question mark. Liverpool are out for sure. Fiorentina only need a point to progress, and Lyon are already through.
