spain can be a good rival for the confederations cup. but for the wold cup there are many other teams who are capable of doing too like england. with a hot form rooney and a good manager england can again bring out the english football and perhaps compete for the world cup. who would disagree with me that england recent run will not continue???
and to guiri, so what spain is number 1 team their run will definitely end. nothing could last forever. it just take a small blunder for spain
to let opponents find out about their mistake than its all over

england is only gud because they play little teams like andorra or kazkanistan. lol theyve got rooney as main stiker. i feel sorry for them =). look at spain theyve got the best like torres n villa + the best midfield in the world

u mean spain would win the world cup definitely??? i don think so as they are many other teams who would pose a challenge for them. look at previous match for Spain they have previously scored only a goal for a match(if i am not wrong it was the match between Egypt)like Wat u said they have Torres and villa which u considered the best strike force, than furthermore they should produce more goals for that match right?? if u have the best strikers in Ur team but they cannot produce the goals than WATS the point??? and for england i don agree that they are facing weak teams. they have Sweden in their qualification match so that have a little bit of competition. and i really don agree that Rooney is their only striker who can produce the goods. look at the match between them and Andorra who was on their score sheet??? it was Defoe lampard and him if i am not wrong. if u say that Rooney is their only deadly striker than why does Fabio Capello does not do a 4-5-1 formation trusting that Rooney will be the lone striker and he can produce the goals???

why's everyone nagging? 1. the world's top-rated team at the moment is spain. not brazil. they're obviously serious competition for anyone, but they're not on top.

2. egypt is the champion of africa. that doesn't mean they're supposed to beat brazil, but african football is getting better and winning the continental tournament IS quite an achievement. I feel like no one's ever pointing that out. the only seriously weak team in the confed cup is new zealand.

3. lucky yes, questionable process of decision-making yes, but whoever claims that it wasn't a penalty.........just stop watching football.

Brazil looked sluggish esp in the second half. I think the team is tired, hope they will get better as the tournament goes on. But I definitely don't like some of the players. What is Gilberto Silva doing in the team? And Kleber doing in the left back position, he was at fault for the first goal. And the two defensive midfielders, Gilberto Silva and Felipe Melo at the same time? What is wrong with Dunga? Aboutrika is the man of the match, what a player!! He was electrifying, he taught Brazilians some Brazilian skills.BTW, I am a die hard Brazil fan.

what if Argentina-England 's 4th ref watched the replay and told the ref to cancel the goal and red card maradona ? would that happen ? ?

well it's over, it wasn't the 4th official, so everybody quit bitching. I still don;t understand how people complain more about a ref changing his mind on a wrong call than on that motherfucker stealing our legit last minute goal. Lucio deserved that more than anyone, THAT WAS BULLSHIT.

Great goals from Kaka, he is definitely worth every penny of that 50 million pound.

Much respect to both teams, reading this thread i see people don't show respect to Egypt who played out of their skins and deserved the draw.

I was also surprised by the ref's decision, on the first viewing it genuinley looked like the defender had headed the ball away... if the 4th official looked at the replay before telling the ref then Egypt can feel like they were robbed.

i was surprised to see Egypt get this close...to lose it right at the end

you can say Brazil lost it bad, and that egypt is no where close to contending to Brazil, but when they step on the field, you never know what can happen...
