and i know there will do it again next mutch
I think people are being too harsh here to ManU. Its not only rooney that plays, as not only messi plays for Barca. Example: The first leg against, Bayern, ManU played so passivly and showed no interest to win the game. Of course, they scored a early goal (by Rooney, but even Berbatov would have put that one in) but then totally fall into defence and almost never try to score a second goal, which would have done it. Then comes the second leg, Rooney plays, but is almost a ghost, the real ManU player that is showing up, is Nani and scores 2 good goals. That really was a good game by ManU only lost because in my opinion they lost their conenctration exactly twice (carrick fell and let olic score an easy goal and NO ONE was close of even guarding robben, so he could score his absolute hammer goal)
So in the end, I would say ManU is FAR from being a one man team. Its just that ManU isnt the same as they were last year. they have lost some of their potential (tevez, ronaldo) and havent compensated for it (berbatov is (unlucky for him) a total failure, this is definetly not his season) so its just manU preforming worse then the last years and just playing football on a high level, but not as high as before. Still they are a great team and a team AWLAYS has to watch out when playing against them, it doesnt matter if its in the EPL or CL, you gotta watch out for manU even if they arent on their highest level
what the hell is that supposed to mean? berbatov is more technically skilled than rooney by miles. i hate it when you people compare rooney and berbatov, two completely different type of players - difference of night and day.
also i think diouf should have started over macheda who is over rated based on pure dumb luck
Credit to Blackburn for the good defence. Berbatov did his natural role well. Being the supporting striker, he feeded a couple balls forward (particularly the Valencia one) which Valencia screwed up. Valencia is at fault for missing a one-on-one, no doubt. But, please allow us to remember he plays a traditional english winger style by feeding crosses, he is NO Ronaldo. To blame him for the lost of a game, that's way too harsh. (Sidetrack a little, I would rather blame Rafael for the BM game for taking the strike rather then passing to Wayne during the 3man counter-attack, SCREW U RAFAEL)
Macheda is rather anonymous today. Being a regular bench-warmer, he should know better than anyone else that being given a first-team game is an golden opportunity to break-through. Chance give, chance squandered.
It's a pity Wayne is injured, but it's about time Wayne is injured, to be honest. To play an entire season without serious injury is an amazing feat. So, let's give him a break, shall we?
We handled the games well enough despite the departure of Ron and Tevez, but perhaps, not well enough for a 4th EPL or another CL title. So, if someone has to blame here, HEY i blame AF for not buying enough players. He should know better than anyone else that the striker department is lacking star quality. Also, before this season, very little ppl knew Wayne could play as a lone striker (a supp striker is what he does best last season). So that was a gamble, and it paid off. But who is e 2nd spear-head striker? Macheda? Berba? or even Diouf? No reliant should fall on the injury-prone Owen, who had a fantastic season (compare to his horror season in e past, he had a great one this time).
We need another striker with Torres/Nistelrooy quality. Midfield is aging and fire-power is lacking as well. Gibson (Scholes wannabe) left his spectacles at home, leaving him firing in air.
Hopefully and that's what i predict, Chelsea will drop a couple more points at the back of the season. To surprise all bettors, i am looking closely for an Arsenal win to make the bookmakers laugh their way to the bank.
People vote Blackburn awesome depite them having almost no shots on target and playing 11 men behind the ball.
Theres too many idiotic Anti-Utd fans.
I dont think so.
