Athletic Bilbao played the mourinho style (one he used with inter against barca last year in the champions league) and it worked for them, yet the difference here is that we were actually very unlucky not to score at least 2 goals in that match... so many chances gone begging but still, respect fir Bilbao that they kept us at the 0-0 mark and not score any goal... very lucky I must say though

to be honest barca is in fact playing the best football right now then madrid comes in a close 2nd truly, but Barcelona fans should never be bemoaning when teams play u defensively u should expect it more but u don't, i believe if you barca play the stronger teams in spain and europe and they play u defensively u would be in trouble. remember the games against Chelsea and Inter u never really looked comfortable against them and remember u still have to play allthe teams u beaten so far again and i believe since i'm a madrid fan that those teams that we both have beaten will play us alot differently in the return match as i surly hope to do against u in April.

y is it that when a team defends likee their life depends on it against barca ppl think they played well are u all blind and cant see that bilbao played a nine man defence and 1 holding midfielder u all seem to forget that the return leg barca has the advantage they will be punished for making us work harder

like teams are always gonna attack you that you can practically walk the ball into the net. real madrid is the number two team in spain and they tried playing their own brand of football and were completely annihilated so y again should teams play barca on the offensive, if you're really that great break down the teams' defenses, i read roma's captain say that if madrid had 22 players out there they would still have lost the game so prove him right beat the teams when they park the bus but hey. you're only Barcelona after all

lol, I see Pedmar's point. But it's not like Barcelona never beat other teams when they park the bus and that this is some kind of magic formula that'll guarantee you a decent result. Of course, you usually won't get crushed as quickly, but once Barcelona score you're not getting anything out of the game anymore when you just stay parked for the rest of the match. And usually Barcelona do score.

Even that famous tie against Inter last year is often misread. Barcelona WON at the Camp Nou, Inter won over both matches because of the first leg when they did MUCH MORE than parking the bus - in fact, that's one of a very few games I remember in which Barcelona was beaten by an opponent who actually did it in style. A bit lucky, but in style.

well defended Bilbao. Arsenal will reckon that it is possible to block out barca. if bilbao had a pacy forward they may well have won this. barca cant win em all, and its refreshing to see a team deny them a crushing victory at the camp nou. (even if all the fanatic fanboys / girls disagree :)

I reckon you want Barcelona to win every game and if it does not you just come up with your opinions ... which is not fair ...Bilabao are a very good team esp in the copa del rey ...The return leg will be a good one ...and about your point about arsenal ..Barcelona are mature enough to decide their priorities . And about winning all ...TIME will tell ya

Arsenal's shaky defence will definitely not last the Barca 5 man forward nuclear blast. Plus Arsenal is a attacky team by nature that likes to play possession game. They can't just all of a sudden become Inter Milan for one match. Bilbao did a much better job at defending that Arsenal would ever be able to do. We will win the games against Arsenal home and away (Considering both teams with full squads)

obviously this is game wasnt as important judging by the lack of spectators, plus there is two legs, who knows maybe pep was trying a new tactic thats what games like this are for, plus it was a good chance for the other players on the squad to play and others to rest or have a different point of view of the game. this game can not be compared with the Arsenal game, or the Real game, or any other game because it is in a totally different context, I think the fact that they didnt get scored on at home and there is still a second leg that still needs to be played is good enough even for Barca, they have days that there off, might as well be on games like this one.
