Although Gaby wasn't diving, but Birmingham got robbed. VIDEO REPLAY should be allowed, come on, this is technology era!
Why is everyone being so harsh on the ref ive seen far worse decisions made by referees, pause it when the birmingam player touches the ball and you wil see his view is behind stephen carr. Therfore all the ref sees in the ball leaving the two players,he will think agbonlahor kicked it foward and he just sees the birmingam player go staright through him. It isnt a penalty but it is a very difficult decisin to make from his angle. Give him a break!!
Am I the only one who thinks it was a penalty? He got 5% touch of the ball and 95% of Aggie...and he had he not taken him down he could've taken a shot on goal too
Oh and BTW....I think Cappelo should consider finally on calling Joe Hart...pure genius in the goal and miles ahead of Green or other keepers, ok fair to say James is more experienced and that but those two should be in the English squad for WC2010 I think
A clear tackle no doubt..the referee should be ashamed, also not giving the last corner to Birmingham which could have been their last chance..I really like Villans and their style but this game was surely equal for both
oh martin dont fool yourself it wasnt a penalty. what does "get the ball" mean to you?
I really don't think that was a penalty, but we'll take it. We've had so many decisions go against us this year so it's nice to see some luck come our way. Man of the Match was definitely Joe Hart, I think he should be England's number 1.
Soft penalty but I don't think it was really a horrible call. He was wrongside of Agbonlahor, it wasn't entirely clean and the ref couldn't have had a better view except for the camera right on the touchline. Tough
after all the bad decisions villa have had against them this year it was about time we got some luck. we should have had a stone wall penalty in the f.a cup semi final, its just how things go
amazing keepers and a devastating penalty call. all around exciting fixture
lol the worst penalty call all season thats a disgrace johnson's momentun would have taken him into gabby but the mani point is he got the ball 1st and not as if he got the ball then followed up with the other leg because that would deem it a penalty
Penalty my arse, Ref was shite... Villa players love to dive, Birmingham far better side... Really we deserved the full 3 points or even just the 1.
What kind of crack are you on? Your right! it was not a pen, you did desearve a draw and the refs are always shite when the call goes against you! Im not trying to convince you that we're better. Just look at the facts, we're battling to get in to the the strongest, richest club tournement in the world, and that is down to consitency. You on the other hand are not even close to a uefa league spot, but, you never know, if you spend a bit of money next season you could even challenge for uefa league ;-|
None Atually, You confirmed what i said, The ref was shite after he cant even keep up with the pace of the game, being so far behind and making a decesion like that for the pen is a disgrace, and to add insult to injury it was a fair tackle.

My dive statment may have been wrong, But for everything else i stand by my words.
Yes, I'd like to see a midlands team in the UEFA/Champions league it'd do alot of good for midlands teams. But let's take a look at the other facts, Birmingham have a 10 Million Squad there, they were the better side and you looked no threat at all in the secand half, Been 9th in the league securing premership status just after christmas, a top 10 finish and eyeing up uefa league spot after just 1 year back is outstanding.

And MON, What a joke saying it was a penalty because even though he got the ball first he had taken Gabby too.
Your 10 million squad is only decent because of our leftover players...
ridgewell and craig gardner might keep you up next year but without joe hart you guys are going to be fighting relegation!

By the way, it was totally not a penalty! Whats the point of having defenders if they cant get ball first? Martin Oneil's comments at the end are disgraceful!
Why did we have to get a pen from you guys and not the right call at wembley!
What, Your retarded... Ridgewell has been very good at left back, Graig Gardner is ok but he only joined us in January. Your saying 2-3 Players make a team,

How about Barry F. Probley our best player this season, Always calm on the ball, and makes things happen. How about Johnson and Dann, The key to our defence that has been a rock at the back, And if there is trouble a great keeper like Joe Hart (Who's succses has come from him being at St Andrews)I mean, How about Bowyer who this season has scored some amazing goals for us, how about Jerome who is one of the most frustrating strikers weve had scored 10 goals for us,How about Steven Carr who's come out of retirement and is a solid Left back and has also been a real threat when he pushes forward on the left wing.

Typical Vile scum, Dont have a clue what there talking about.
* Steven Carr Right back/Right Wing
ummm...You guys made ridgewell your captain right after you signed him! Muhaha
Your saying 2-3 players cant change the direction of a game/season?

Barry F. is a disgrace! Wasnt he banned from scotland? Typical Bluenose! Also, the guy is 31 and will probably get hurt...Steven Carr! Your having a laugh!

Your going to have some good teams being promoted next season, so you wont be able to depend on another team going into administration!
Haha, Oh god... What does putting a Captains arm band back in 2007 have to do with now or next season, Not that it really matters as it hardly proves your point, Just typical Vile talk.

Barry Ferguson, Is human he made some mistakes... He's 32 atually and still caused so many problems for Villa in the secand half.

Rest really, is just a joke... Your a joke.. I understand your specail, luckily villa only has 2 syllables, what bloody chance have you got of supporting Birmingham City, Your mind would probley overload just trying to say it.
Your both right, Martine O'neil is talking sh-t. It was not a pen. I dont mean to sound like a manager trying to dodge and side step questions in a post match interview, but on another day, that would have not been called... thats football, sometimes you get the luck and other times you dont...

BTW Barry Ferguson... I personally dont like his stile of play, he has good work ethic, but I just thought he would be so much bigger than this. He was so promising when he was a youngster... Shame.

Once again, Im no manager, so I cant tell you what I think Birmingham needs to make it into europe, I can tell you that there form this season was scary. All we need now is wolves to solidify there Prem status!

great play by both of the keepers, Joe Hart seems far ahead of James or Green.
ah Villa finally get a penalty called for them. It wasn't a pen but you win some and you lose some. Everyone gets lucky sometimes.
awful penalty call...
Huge win for Villa. If we can somehow manage to beat City next week then we could have an unexpected Champions League spot on our hands.
You ain't beating city don't get your hopes up
We'll av em!
