Why is Real Madrid playing friendlies at this time of the season?

I have no clue how good these Colombians are supposed to be, anyways it might be good for Real at this point to just pounce on a lesser team and get some early-season frustration out of their systems. Good to see a quality performance by Kaká. I've been kinda sorry for him, the way he went from Ballon d'Or to million-dollar benchwarming.

It's the Santiago Bernabeu trophy. Its usually a preseason trophy, but the preseason was so short, so we had to squeeze it in. It was also the club that Di Stefano played for against madrid. It had a good amount of significance

I thought Kaká had retired.

Anyway, good to see him back, slapping Mourinho in the face with a great performance that shows he deserved much more playing time. One does not simply score with his ass.
