No need to panic i think... valencia still have a very good chance to progress in uefa cup. this club usually steps up in front of the big teams (drawing to barca 0-0 and beating sevilla 2-0), but then doing miserably against small teams. So i think they'll take the next to games (genoa, lille) more seriously.
Sorry Poolencia to only refer to Silva and Villa. I agree they have other excellent players but the other fellas have to step up bigger in a game like this and close it out. Now they may struggle to get out of the group.
Terrible showing in Europe for a fourth place La Liga team.
Without Villa playing, Silva is substituted off early in the second half.
Were they a bit overconfident?

Damn it, everybody outside of la liga just sees valencia cf as villa and silva. The only thing they talk about is who will pick them up in the transfer season. the truth is that VCF is a prestigious club full of history. In the past decade they have been prominent in both spain and europe, and the club deserves far more respect. the players are loyal to their club (something rare nowadays in football),and that just shows what a great club VCF is.
The club is probaby only behind barca and madrid in la liga, which isn't saying much since most clubs in the world are inferior to them. And the club has depth, lots of it. Villa, silva, pablo, mata are the obvious ones, but there are others. Banega and Manuel Fernandes are great in the midfield, and Dealbert and Navarro have made a great partnership in the back. and lets not forget the veterans, Baraja, Albelda, joaquin, vicente, marchena, and cesar sanchez. even the youth is promising, with aaron niguez, jordi alba, and michel all making names for themselves.
So the next person to simply refer to valencia by simply pointing out villa and silva should think twice before doing so.
