Real Madrid closed out the 2014/15 fiscal year with the figure for total revenue standing at €660.6 million, a 9.4% increase on the previous fiscal year. This figure includes the capital gains obtained through the sale of players.

Operating income, not taking the capital gains obtained through the sale of players into account, stood at €577.7 million, a 5.1% increase on the previous fiscal year.

Still making those Benjamins Perez.
Eden Hazard: I'll never be a true scorer like Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo

Yeah well no s**t. Don't know why Hazard is even getting mentioned in the same sentence as Ronaldo and Leo.
Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Hazard went out for a drink, Bendtner was also there.

Does this sentence upset you?
+4
Exactly, so Madrid don't ever need to buy him. I expect you guys to keep your paws off him for the next 10 years.
^ no one said he isn't on James' level tho :p
+1
@RealFan - So this guy tries to be humble, and you take a dig at that? I don't see your point at all.
+5
dont think Realfan was having a dig at hazard but at the people overrating him all the time... Mourinho being one of them lol

its actually hard to dislike Hazard
I rate Hazard very highly. Higher than Bale quite frankly because he's so intelligent on the ball and makes the team tick. He is one of the best chance creators out there and always a defender's nightmare. Any team would be lucky to have him.

Realfan, I doubt you watch him regularly because if you do you would know he is better than half of those guys you mentioned at the Chelsea forum and will be as good or perhaps better than Robben at his peak.
+3
Mourinho is the only person I know that rates Eden on CR7's level. Everyone knows he's not up there with Messi and Ronaldo. But he certainly is not so far removed that's it's insulting to compare.
@Jeroen.. why are you so bitter??
+4
^^ are you sure you're not the one who's bitter? You pick out Jeroen's comment out of this whole discussion, why?
+1
Hazard is class but he should be compared to Reus, Bale, etc.. Not the likes of Neymar, Messi, and Ronaldo :p
Messi and Ronaldo are above everyone else, there is no denying that... amongst the others Hazard is way above Neymar coz he's so humble and doesnt spend time on his hair and doesnt dive :P
+1
^ according to this logic , ronaldo shouldn't even get mentioned for top 10 , because he too loves to spend lots of time and money on hair & dives regularly ,

oh wait sorry I forgot he dives because he is competitive , can't say same about neymar .
+4
Futboll: what's with you and neymar? Lol That treble he's sitting on must've hurt a lot.
sigh and there goes Malik with the wildness... Franky with the follow up lol... how about a more grown up conversation gentlemen...

st1or i think we can very well put Hazard on the same page as neymar... I find neymar better than hazard, but lets not try and put him as high as CR7 and Messi... at least not yet..
+4
Dagaza: Your boy talks about hair and diving on a topic about hazard and you obviously think THAT is a grown up conversation. Lol
+3
i was talking to everyone on this post... not just you two
ok let me be clear here, i put those things like hair and sh*t not because i believe them but i was trying to mock those who use that argument to put cristiano down and now dont say those dumbf**ks havent/dont do it...sorry for the confusion
+2
Sorry Malik,I accidentally deleted your last comment :(

You can never be safe while browsing on your phone,my finger just slipped on the delete button. Sorry again man, fell free to post it again.
@futboll

so basically you were trying to be a hypocrite.
Welcome to FT's new mobile format. If you're using a phone or tablet you've seen it. Its just the basics to see if the program is stable. Forums, profile page and other stuff will be added on soon. We weren't really told about it so sorry we couldn't give you a heads up. :)
So in a funk right now not knowing how to feel about how my club Madrid has gone and done this to two top top players. Don't care who points the most fingers at whom because it takes two to tango and this time both parties were dancing to the wrong music.

F..k Perez and F..k LVG for this crap because both teams could have had two quality gks suiting up for them come next week and both sides would have been winners in this transaction.

These transfers each kiss me assed season is getting ridiculous to a point that it becomes nauseating.
+1
The transfer collapsed and both sides took some damage but at least we both have the gk that most of the fans support. Things will get sorted out the next window I hope
Lmao what does lvg Have to do with this? Perez should have more f*****g sense than to table a bid on the last day of the window. Bitter beans.
+1
Ok Louis ^^ FYI since in the BPL unlike Spain or should I say Real Madrid, YOU/YOURSELF has more control over who comes and who leaves and if YOU Louis decide that DeGea shouldn't leave due to no better replacement at the moment U will make it hard for any deal to be successful. If Utd was really willing to give DeGea to Madrid it would have been done long ago. No matter what you read in the media we all know that this was in the end a breakdown that pleased both sides whether it be management or fan base. Both sides knew that whether either gk stayed or not that they would still have quality between the sticks. For us having DeGea would have not been a step up from Navas but moreso having that Spainish identity for Madrid and representation on the National team. Right now the majority fans of Madrid want Navas to stay and continue gk for us. If that wasn't the case after the conclusion of the Betis's game for an entire week that deal would have been CEMENTED and not waiting until the FINAL DAY of transfer activities for both England and Spain.

So Mr.LVG please go back and rethink your attempted diversion from your own lacking. We all know you want DeGea to stay and in doing so you left him on the bench for I believe 6 straight games. That's clearly actions from a parent who wants to educate their child in proper behavior by grounding them so to get that desired affect of proper conduct = (signing a new contract, rejecting the move to Madrid and making U MR.LVG happy)
Come on people, you really think our 2 clubs didn't talk all summer long? They were in contact every day for the past weeks ,that's for sure. I formal bid was not made, but they were all running around this transfer,of that I'm sure.

The only question that we may never resolve is who was the one playing hard ball till the end. Did United out of spite refuse to accept any formal offers before the last day even thou everything has already been accepted and resolved in principal? Or was Perez holding his poker face to long? Whatever the case is,both clubs had a part in it,and maybe it's for the best the deal didn't go trough at this moment.
Throughout summer everyone knew ddg wanted to leave, and Lvg was no different. Numerous times he came out and told media that ddg was unsettled, even got a replacement Romero. What else have we heard? That Real Madrid bid £20 mil for ddg. That real offered ddg £12 million if he would see out his contract and join on a free. All kinds of dirty tricks and just not being straightforward.

Fact is if Perez had bid a decent amount a week before the window closed, ddg would be a real player now. End of.
+1
@LVG is right. Madrid didn't put in an offer until the final day of the transfer window. And DDG is still to receive 10-12m as a 'sign-on bonus' when he signs for Madrid. It's shady business and I really hope DDG renews his contract.

The DDG rumours started ever since Casillas parted ways. Had Madrid really wanted him and had they really respected Navas and DDG, they would have settled the deal a long time ago.
+2
St1or and how do you know that? how do you know it wasnt Man U that didnt officially open communications on the last day knowing what we would offer? cmon man you would have no idea who actually did what on the last day, this sounds again like we can only do wroong and everyone else does right,

Man U says we didnt deal till the last day and we say the opposite but somehow YOU know who did what cmon keep it real for petes sake.
+3
You snooze you loose. Why wait until the last possible minute? Oh yeah... for publicity.
+4
I agree about last minute but lets not forget that it was in our interest to get this deal done and not to wait till the last minute so why would we? if you are able to think about unbiasedly then you may reach the same conclusion as I, case and point Mr. Levy and the Bale deal made us wait till the last day as well.
+3
the whole shady part of neymar deal was done by barca...for publicity
In case anyone cares, Tharius and I agreed on a conclusion on the matter.. on a whataspp convo that lasted almost the entire day.
Futboll: Is there a reason why neymar is brought into this discussion? Do you know who else perez signed by making a similar "penalty clause" deal in the past? If you actually knew about your president you'd know he's the master of this.
Tharius: Just because its in your interest to make a deal doesn't mean you can't or didn't mess up. Making a deal early means spending more money. It was also in your interest to wait until the end so united would get desperate. So no, your logic doesn't make sense. United was in a worse situation than madrid because you have a world class keeper while their 1st choice keeper was not playing for them.
^ lol, that's their habit, even in wats app convo, they were talking about how shady barca are when they defend blindly their club in de gea situation,so obsessive.
Franky @ [Madrid's] interest to wait until the end so united would get desperate"

United were never desperate to sell DeGea to begin with. They were not interested in selling him. PERIOD

" David is a key member of our squad and the club’s preference was not to sell."

You make it sound like Madrid had the upper hand? Madrid was wasting time to force United in a corner and make them "desperate"? RUBBISH. It was the other way around. United wanted to leverage this deal as much as they could, and were willing (proven so), to wait for the last day to strike a deal.

Keep in mind, Madrid sold Iker to prepare a new spot for DeGea. Back then, DeGea had already signed personal terms with Madrid. United publicly promised to make DeGea deal difficult for Madrid. While United pressed Madrid to sell Ramos but they had no luck there. And you still believe that it was Madrid who were stalling?
ofc you know more than anyone about perez..heck you know more about perez than your own board..
oh and i just brought that deal up to trying to focus on "for publicity" part...not everything that happens is for publicity
Futboll: Terrible logic yet again. Me suggesting you don't know your president doesn't imply I know more about him than anyone else. When you talk about shady transfers conducted by Sandro Rosell, you ought to know Perez came to power on the basis of a shady transfer. And if anyone makes a transfer for marketing and publicity, its Mr Perez. Most of his pet transfer projects are pure vanity items to make money for the club and not necessarily to enhance your team. Your snide remarks aren't really making much sense.

Thecount: I agree that united didn't want to sell Degea and the stalling was from their side. The dragging tactic was them trying to make max profit from a lost cause. Almost all clubs do this to maximize their profit. What do you want United to do? Just roll over and get destroyed by their fans? Now Madrid didn't really NEED DeGea this year. So if Perez wanted him so bad, he should have gone for it with a higher bid and got his prized toy. Nobody would be complaining about delaying tactics etc if they hadn't messed up the paperwork because its normal during transfers.

Nevertheless, your club actually saved money because of the mess. Now if DDG extends with united then its going to be a terrible deal for Madrid.
To get an idea of what Madrid was going up against just take a look at United' s recent track record in the transfer market these last few summers. F*ck up central.

The road is littered with failed negotiations, transfers falling through in the last minute. One after the other. Pedro being the latest in a long line of c**k-ups.

Whoever runs operations for them needs to get fired.
+1
Stop it now Slim, this is completely disgraceful from two of the world's most lauded clubs in the history of this sport. The problem with this situation is Perez and his footballing vision or lack there of. Knowingly going after DeGea for sometime, why buy Casilla if you wanted David all along. Why put Navas through that? This is another situation where its what Perez thinks the fans want and not what Real Madrid need.

I hope that LVG be the bigger man than he's shown to date and for the better of Utd, play David sooner rather than later. Makes no sense for Madrid to go after a player in Jan because he should be fielded by Utd in the UCL to help their cause. Don't be poutful-foolish and say he's gonna rot knowing you need him no matter what.
+8
@Slim

Don't know about their recent transfers but United have the FA to back them up on their claims. And one of their claims was that Madrid chose not to go down that route..
+4
Selling clubs pushing a transfer til the last day is nothing new.

Levy did it to Madrid with Bale. It's the only thing that a club that's about to loose a player they don't want to loose can control. It's their last power to be able to decide WHEN a transfer gets made. "Why make it easy on them?" is the thought behind it.

Now Madrid looks stupid over this fiasco, fine. But United just showed the world (yet again) how useless and incompetent they are in the transfer market. How dealing with them is like dealing with amateurs. They couldn't even do this right. They couldn't even stick it to Madrid properly. THE TRANSFER IS SUPPOSED TO GO THROUGH IN THE END IDIOT.

For a Club the size and prestige of United this is disgusting and unbecoming. This is not how you conduct business. This is embarrassing and I feel terrible my Madrid was dragged into dealing with clowns.
+1
i wonder who de gea believes, as both clubs painting a very different picture. in the end, you didn't make a bid until the last day of the window. real madrid left a lot to chance and it doesn't seem to have worked. if they didn't want him this summer they would never have bid for him so it has to go down as madrid failing here. i just feel for navas, he's a pawn in all this but at least now he can go wherever he wants in june. at the end of the day ddg is also in a tough spot so neither club did justice to their players by not getting this one done.
+4

Utd statement over DeGea saga. Not here to argue. Just providing info
+3
Info for what though? An arguement? Maybe best not to post this here if you don't have any real subject matter. Both sides might have some bitterness here and its best to stay in your own forum if you're not here to be neutral as an outsider.
i didnt see St1or posted it below so i thought some RM fans may want to know official statements from UTD. I dont see what is wrong with it. I didnt reply on any of comments towards Utd below since I couldnt care less to argue. Only RM and UTD know exactly what happened and most fans will always be biased towards their teams as im towards UTD. If anybody find my post offensive, you can always delete it

Never said I had a problem with it or that it was against site rules. You could have posted the link in the relevant thread. Not to worry mate, your reply reassures me you're not here trolling. Carry on.
Ok,I think we know who wanted this deal to fail:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/man-uniteds-timekeeping-partner-launch-6362601

LMAO,I have to say, this is top banter. But the clock is ticking for them now,I doubt DeGea will sign a new contract and they'll get nothing for him next year,be that we get him or another club.

But you have to admit,it's a perfect time to lunch your new watch collection lol
HA..same s**t every madrid fan say about de gea "ohhhh we get him for free now"..we don't care mate, neither does lvg,Woodward or Manchester United, theres something called dignity which is worth more than money, maybe madrid could use some of that ;)
Well nobody except Perez wanted DeGea to come now,we all trust in Navas. Navas has the backing of the whole coaching staff and the fans, and he knows that.

Call it a win-win then. You maintained your dignity, and we saved 30m and Navas :)
im sure ALOT of Madrid fans wanted de gea, weren't fans at the bernabeu chanting his name last month?
Actually, fans were chanting Keylor's name :)

It's not that we don't think DeGea is good,it's just that we've all seen how good Navas is. It makes no sense to splash money for a player that has 1 year left on his contract, especially when you have a beast in goal like Navas.

Marca mad a poll few days ago,in witch around 100.000 fans voted on the DeGea situation: 73% wanted Navas to stay our number 1 and not move for DeGea. Now there are even rumors Perez purposely sabotages the deal because he was afraid of another bad reaction from the fans. Who knows what the real reason behind it was,but I can guarantee you we are all happy it broke down and we get to keep Keylor :)
this guy is SURE about something he has no idea about about lmao
Keylor's father recalled how he felt when the Bernabéu stood to applaud his son on Saturday: "Seeing so many people chanting my son's name sent shivers down my spine and brought tears to my eyes. They're a tough crowd to win over at one of the best clubs in the world. He makes Costa Rica so proud".

Freddy Navas revealed that the Real Madrid dressing room fully support Keylor. "He's told me he has everyone's backing. Marcelo, Cristiano Ronaldo, James and all the other players..."

It's amazing that even after this soap opera that Perez prepared for him,he still wants to be in Madrid an fight. He has the backing of fans, manager, coaching staff and the rest of the players...but he's not from Spain and Perez wants to keep the tradition of GK being Spanish. We really need to get rid of Perez as soon a possible. And I hope Keylor goes into his Levante days beast mode and prove the rest of the world how good he is.
+2
One thing is good, at least everybody is backing Navas. I feel sorry for him but after reading how everybody wants Navas I think he will be just fine. He truly deserves a shot.
+1
You want to play? Fine, but first renew your contract.

So apparently thats what United have said to DDG.
+1
And they have every right to.
+9
if true, manu has gone down the lvg gutter sadly
+4
they have the right to do it but are they right to do it considering he didnt hand in transfer request earlier in the summer (may be he did I dont know), acted professionally and ti is for the best of interests of both parties (manu and ddg) to play him?
Firstly; we don't know what happened. How United acted towards DDG and vice versa is something that happened behind the scenes. I don't know why DDG would've acted up either, because it looked certain United were going to sell him. They would have if Real didn't linger until a few hours before the deadline.

Secondly, I for one am happy there are some big clubs who are prepared to miss out on money to set an example a contract IS in fact a binding commitment. I really don't like the new football culture where nothing is sacred anymore. If a club does not want to sell a player and has the resources not to feel their hand forced to sell, they shouldn't. Dortmund did it with Lewa, but both parties there respected each other until the very last moment. I'm not sure if that's the same with DDG & Utd.

All in all though, I think it's hilarious Pérez doesn't get his way for once. Money can buy you most things, it doesn't buy you time. (time ≠ money) Funnily enough United made the same mistake and now paid like 4x as much for Martial as they should've.
+4
didnt know dortmund told lewa if he wanted to play, he had to sign a new contract
+2
@RealFan

Could you please provide some reliable sources on that comment plz?
His head would not be in the game and he'd be a liability. Its completely fair United ask him to renew. This is not a new practice, its been done many times before. A better contract at United would benefit him as well. Thats fair practice and if he goes on a free next summer thats fair too. He'd not be leaving as big a hole for them if they could agree to the contract and agree to sell once that contract is in place. Then United can start thinking about life without DDG. Any businessman that did business like this would be right in trying to protect himself first.
if we do,good..it means pumping the price of him when/if he signs a new contract whether hes going to play or not.
if he doesnt then fair enough but I can assure you LVG wont be risking playing him after this mess
Contracts these days are nothing but just a piece of paper , first of all I doubt LVG will want De gea to start for United and even of they pursue him to sign a new contract it will not Madrid or De gea to leave United during next transfer window , he will only Stay unless something special happens .

Also De gea can easily afford a season on bench , heard some English experts saying he need to present a case for spain number 1 spot for Euro 2016 , they don't know that's not gonna happen till VDB is Spain manager , he will never ditch Iker , so yeah De gea won't loss much if he spent 4 or 8 months on bench .
