i think neymar has started to live up to his hype at barca and brazil.

of course bale has won much more since joining in madrid
Someone's got a little obsession with Barcelona lately.. :p

Inferiority complex?
+3
Callejon..Calle-freakin-jon...! boy i miss this guy. Scored both goals in the tie with Inter. :')
+1
Its unfair that the guy never got called up to Spain, his a quality winger/forward. He should be getting called up.
He is actually in. Great great form... Id give him a chance in the national team... In his form lately he could definitively play over pedro or navas (who dont play much for spain)
Points in last 22 rounds in La Liga:
1. Sevilla 50
2. Barça 49
3. Atlético 47
4. Real Madrid 45

didnt think emery would such an amazing job.
always liked him. any thoughts?
I've had something on my mind regarding the whole 'the Madrid chat needs a mod of its own'

When Matt and Lee first made this site they picked users like Tony, Ben, Zach, Jereon, Raj to be the mods of this site (of course there were more but I can't remember them all...) Anyways, not only were they respected by everyone on the site, but everyone knew they didn't tolerate any sort of trolling. They didn't give 'warnings' to trolls, they just put them on status, deleted their comment and made them feel like a horses ass.

When Footytube 2.0 first came, I used to get into all sorts of trouble. I was put on status about 3 times, and was even told to stay away the site for a while...LMAO. Why? Because the mods didn't take crap from anyone. But now-a-days, we have users like Dhockey who did nothing but troll when he first joined this site, and when you tried to report them, the mods say 'he's doing nothing wrong'

Let me tell you a story. There was a user named Rob12 (or something like that) Man, I HATED his guts. He used to harass me, call me a glory hunter, make offensive comments regarding my I.Q. and knowledge about football. When Meebo was around, we used to have heated arguments...he even brought my family into it. Why am I telling you this? Well, if we have users like him become mods no one would troll on any chat. I mean, would someone like Ratboii300024 troll on the Madrid chat if someone like @Slim was a mod? ...we all know Slim wouldn't think twice before deleting his idiotic comments.

The mods ether need to starting being more strict, or we need users like Slim or Rob12 as mods.

Thoughts?
+8
My thoughts: I don't know why you think Dhockey is a troll. Is he on our radar? Certainly... a neutral/Barca fan who posts provocative facts on the Madrid page will always be kept an eye on. My assessment is that in the beginning he DID write some trollish stuff, but he quickly understood where the line is. You really didn't like that early stuff and even assess his later comments through that lens.

Now let's see Dhockey's last few comments here:

"You got a extra day off for liverpool game."
"Lol qpr dominating liverpool. i say play the B team"
"Liverpool game is important too. i dont think these rotations are necessary."
"Modric might be injured. :-( right before the classic too i dont know how serious it is."
"Madrid has the highest avg attendance this season."
"Real madrid - scored most goals in europe (top 5 lgs) barcelona - conceded least goals in europe (top 5 lgs)"

How is any of this remotely close to trolling? On what basis do you want me to punish him, except that you hate him?

Another thing - in the middle you suspected that Dhockey had a second fake account. You know what, so did I, and Zilch, and Kgb and basically every mod who visited this page. That's why we first did a casual check, and then a more rigorous check, and each time we found that these two accounts belong to different people in completely different cities. I thought like you did too that they were the same guy, but as far as we can tell it isn't true! So again, on what basis do we punish this guy?

Now, about someone like "Rob12" being a mod. That's a terrible idea because someone like him would himself troll the s**t out of some page or the other. You yourself said he harrassed you! I don't even understand what the motivation behind this is. (BTW, this is not to say Slim won't be a good mod. I don't think Slim is crazy like the guy you described.)

Finally, about tolerating trolling. I will let other mods speak for themselves, but I have banned about 50 people on the Madrid/Barca pages over 2 years. At one point you say the mods didn't take crap from anyone, but the newer mods do. LOL I'm the guy who dealt with you half the time! And not just you... a lot of people who had trouble but are still here: you/Robbery/Yousif/Franky/Mt/Pedmar/Turk/that-guy-who-was-a-fan-of-both-teams in the recent past and a bunch of people before that. Is that not strict enough for you?
+7
Realfan, I like your suggestion by the way, but I think we all just have to suffer through it. Lol
+2
In summary, NO mod ever banned someone within two days of joining. People were ALWAYS talked to first, then put on status, then banned. You know this, because we extended you the same courtesy. Dhockey had the good sense to pick up on how to behave very quickly, that's why there was no need to put him on status. Instead of wishing for new mods who'd ban him for you, may be the adult thing to do would be to start afresh with the guy?
+4
@Lake Pray tell me who Dhockey really is. No really you don't need to be oblique about it -- if you suspect he's a particular person we can check that very easily.

Anyway, like I said guys, we checked and he is not a duplicate account.
+3
Tanmay, nvm, you actually made a good argument there, so I edited my comment :)
+1
Cool :)
Lets make something straight, because I have a feeling I'm going to get into a lot of trouble. I'm not saying the current mods aren't doing a good job and are a bunch of 'nice guys'

Alright now that's out of the way, lets get down to business.

No, Dhockey is not on my radar. I've been on this site long enough to know users like him won't stay on this site longer than a year. First they troll, then they get their act together and then get they bored and leave the site. Trust me, I've seen about a billion of him.

I clearly remember getting into trouble with you. I remember I got into a heated argument with a user who said Callejon was more important to the team than Kaka. I lost my cool and made it personal. I got put on status and one of the mods said they 'had enough' but I didn't get banned because I was one of two only active members on the Madrid chat (@White being the other) Tony later that day message me and told me what the hell was going on. I told him in wont happen again because I realized how important I was to this site. No one needs to thank me, btw...

Anyways, what my initial point was we need a mod who is a Madridista...lol.
okay i have no idea what i did. lol
+4
No man you won't get into trouble, don't worry. You just expressed your opinion and I'm expressing mine. I sound pissed because I disagree with you vehemently about making former trolls mods lol, but we're just talking.

Point taken about the Madrid mod though, I too agree we need one. Trust me no one would benefit more from it than me, not even you guys! :-)
Lol bro take it easy...its just an online forum ffs lol
ok... but we don't need a mod just becos of Dhockey :)
..or is this about Dhockey?

i think the madrid forum is fine the way it is.. and if an idiot comes to say crap, its a lot easier to feed it back to them and actually more satisfying that way than to get the comments deleted.

but I'm not against banning trolls though
Dnt get it... We play on wednesday while barca play on tuesday and then classico is on a saturday? Wtf? Thats only two days of rest for us...
+2
Meh. I'm not too bothered.
+1
you got a extra day off for liverpool game.
+1
I am.. Were goin to anfield in a champions league match followed by a classico with two days of rest to a team that hasn't conceded once..... It bothers me a little
+1
It would be more ideal if it was on Sunday. I'm sure your team isn't sweating it too much. Just another challenge.
@Dhockey

One is away to liverpool and the other is home to ajax.... And u make it sound like a group match vs ajax and liverpool is more important than a classico
+1
@askepios

Exactly...l when a team plays on wednesday, they are normally required to play only till sunday...anyways, just gotta hope for a solid rotation in the liverpool game then
UNICEF im telling you ;) haha but in all seriousness, send Castilla to take on Liverpool with Ronaldo too. Should be enough
+1
Does anybody have James Rodriguez stats so far for Madrid? His goals and assists in all competitions?
I would have said use a thing called Google, but I'm feeling nice today...lol.

La Liga: 1 goal, 2 assists
Champions League 1 goal
Supercopa 1 goal
UEFA Supercup N/A (lol)

So in total; 12 Appearances, 3 goals and 2 assists.
+2
How fantastic would it be for Messi to score and become La Liga's all time leading goal scorer and CR7 gets a hat trick and becomes La Liga's all time leading hat trick scorer next weekend!!
All depends on Varane. If he plays,Messi will be cozy in his pocket once again :)
+5
Suarez neymar and messi will be too much for our defense i fear. And they shored up their defense finally and mascherano might be in midfield.

Transfer ban might have been the best thing to happen to barsa for a while. We will need a strong midfield to win.

Also ronaldo will need to continue his form
James and Isco are really impressing me thus far. And James is a really good alternative to Bâle on the wings. The only bad thing about him is his price. Way better Than angel at the same age poeple tend to Forget di Maria s first 3 seasons. Time is on his side. As for the golden disco kid to much skill to much potential and so young carlo hold on to him
+4
Chelo! Where have you been man!
@Chelo

no offence man...
nothing against Rodriguez but i really remember di maria in his last season at benfica which i believe is his age on par with rodriguez..
and he is not better than him. i don't see any reason why anyone will play down di maria.

rodriguez, i am impressed with in madrid becos of his alertness on the pitch.
He is not an alternative in amyway to Bale, rather benzema cos he has the hunger to score goals and his awareness on the pitch is superior to many forwards

Callejon was the suitable replacement to Bale, but i can say the best thing that ever happened to his career was moving to Napoli.
So should we rotate our team a little for the Liverpool game? I mean, the Clasico is in less that 3 full days from that, and Barca will have the luxury of having an extra day of rest. I say rest Modric,James,Carvajal and sub of Ronaldo as soon as possible.
liverpool game is important too. i dont think these rotations are necessary.
It's important, but not as Clasico. Besides,I think Arbeloa,Illarra,Chicharito and Isco could cover those spots just nicely.
+1
I think isco will feature in el classico.

May see a lot of rotation though
+1
lol qpr dominating liverpool. i say play the B team
+5
Why is everyone so scared of Liverpool? No disrespect to them but Madrid will have an easy game against them.
I hope we see isco, arbeloa, chica, illara and either nacho or varane start vs liverpool... Its mot underestimating but el classico is so much more important... We could afford to draw this game away from home...
Ahh, @SanchezAlexis, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this!

I would go with...

------NAVAS?------
Arbeloa--Pepe--Varane--Nacho
-----Illara--Kroos--Isco----
Bale------Benzema---Ronaldo
@Realfan

i don't want to be cocky but that team is even too strong for liverpool @ d moment

i'm pretty much only concerned about Steven Gerrard, cos he just might show up
modric might be injured. :-(
right before the classic too
i dont know how serious it is.
