This is the first time that as a Real supporter, I feel hopeless for the team. I don’t know if the team will ever get back to winning ways for a long time. They are getting used to losing. They have no answers, and they don’t seem to be able to fix the problems.
Entire team is made of garbage. And supposedly Bale is supposed to be our new CR7. Ha! Pathetic performance.

Can't wait till next season starts because we're not winning anything this season, that's for sure.

Don’t think next season will be any better. The backbone of the team is aging and we haven’t been able to replace them properly.
Lol worst loss at home in Europe in history of Real. We are on our way.

My take on players:
- Benzema is worthless, we would be stronger if we played a rabbit in his place,
- Isco is way too slow,
- Valejo is a horrible and irresponsible defender who plays to save face, the rest of that young defensive line up lacks a leader type character.
- Asensio is not a star player because his game might be great in some aspects but is severely lacking in other aspects making it a flawed type of player.

My take on the team:
- the team lacks direction
- there are serious weaknesses to style of play
- players play simply to keep the ball away from opposition but with no plan/clear direction of what they need to do with it.
- they haven’t scored a single goal from a set piece, corner or otherwise. No one even jumps for a header so I don’t know what is the purpose of crossing if scoring from a cross is not achievable.
- we labor to move forward because we don’t have players who can move past opposition with their momentum or dribbling, or shoot if given too much room (which would open up passing lanes) all the defense needs to do to stop Real is stand in formation and wait for Real players to be unsuccessful at penetrating, then eventually take the ball from them and score on Real.
- there is a serious problem with passing the ball into the correct spot. Almost all passes are off target, forcing the receiving player to adjust.
- there is no teeth to the offense because none of the would-be superstars has an eye for goal.

You guys need an overhaul. How many seasons has it been since you guys signed a world class player?

Madrid needs a striker, a winger, a midfielder, and a CB or two.
I agree. But It’s not that Real hasn’t been trying. With the Premier League teams receiving 2billion pounds each from the television deal and the oil money pouring into football, none of them wants/needs to sell a star player, especially not to Real it seems because Real gets outlandish quotes whenever they pursue a player. They have quoted Hazard, a 28 year old, for 170 million pounds even though there is only a year left on his contract and he isn’t signing a new deal with them. This has forced Real to pursue young unproven talent around the world to try and find the players before the PL gets its hands on them. Once they go to PL or Paris, they become unattainable I think.

Ps: And yes it’s been years since they got any world class player. Accept Courtois to be fair.
I think it will definitely be Hazard's last year. He will probably force a move next summer and I see him going for around 100-120 mil. Madrid also need to get Kane if they wanna stay competitive. He might cost 200 mil but he will surely score 30-50 goals a season.

Like you said, the backbone of the team is aging. Modric is getting old, Ramos is unreliable, Marcelo looks like he had 0 motivation. Sell Bale, Benz and maybe even Isco and you have more than enough funds to get anybody in the world.
Hopefully Hazard is worth an arm and a leg. At 28 I don’t know, he has two years before he joins the rest of our aging squad. Kane? I doubt it. As to selling, Benz... not sure what happened to that guy, I feel like his demise started after those criminal charges began (the appeal of which is still on going), but he is just not worth keeping, and Bale, it depends how much he is being paid. If he is paid as if he is carrying this team, then he should be sold immediately.
If you are expecting someone to score lots of goals like CR7, Hazard is not the one. But he can easily create tons of chances and take away 2-3 defenders to free others. If you have a decent striker, he will get lots of chances. I feel he will be at top for at least 4 yrs in La Liga. In PL, he is being fouled very often. He is slowly feeling the pain.

I agree with SanchezAlexis that Madrid needs an overhaul. I dont know how Benzema is still playing. Kane will definitely get you goals. But I doubt you will get him easily since he signed a new deal recently and he doesnt have a release clause. I could see him become most expensive player if deal goes through.
It would be easier to get Icardi from Inter instead.

What's going on with Mariano btw?
Mariano is playing really bad. He is selfish and just puts the blinders on when he has the ball. But to be fair he hasn’t had many chances to play which means his confidence is under attack and he feels he has to prove himself.

@Nvj
As I was saying one of Real’s problems is that we don’t have anyone in our midfield that can pose a goal threat, which means the center is never an option for us. This puts the sides at a disadvantage because defense knows we can’t penetrate from the center. Maybe Hazard is the answer to that problem. Isco certainly is not because while he can maintain ball like no other and dribble anyone to keep position, he has zero penetration ability.
They should put Crysto in the line up and see if he can take benz’s spot.
That was painful to watch. They couldn’t string a few good passes together? What was that?? I can’t believe we walked out with the points. It was like some of the players were playing for themselves. Benz was completely missing the whole game. If he wasn’t in the field it wouldn’t have mattered. Bale was the only one who did anything at all. What was going on with them?
seems like the high winds really affected their passing and honestly all of them echoed the same sentiment from coach to gk. Yes painful as it looked like we really struggled today. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but I seriously think it's high time we move on full speed away from Benzema as our starting #9.
Time for Cristo? He looks really promising. Im not sure why he has not been utilized yet. We have nobody else to take his place. But honestly that game looked weired. I refrained from writting this in my first comment but at times it looked like some Real players were delibrately not playing good. /:

Important thing is that we got the 3 points and closed the gap.
Next round everyone else above us will have tough matches.

Lopetegui was the worst signing we've ever made..what an embarrassment

We could easily be topping everything right now had we gotten a manager with football IQ earlier..

Under that dude we lost games I couldn't even believe.
Not saying Santiago Solari is going to be a Zidane... But look at the records..

8 games
7 wins, 1 loss, 5 clean sheets

I think he didn’t have the experience to fix his strategy once other teams caught on to his tactics. He had no answers. He couldn’t provide options to actually break into defenses and create goal chances.

With Solari we have a fighting chance but I think we are still needing work. I think there is some ways to go before his style becomes fluid enough to work like a machine. We are still reliant on mistakes from the other team I feel.

I’m really happy with the results so far. Valencia game could have ended badly but didn’t. Other than that, the clean sheets are so good to have.

0-3 against CSKA, improvement!

you feel better now?
Real Madrid’s Santos player Rodrygo finished 4th place for best player under 21 award. Mbappe got first place. Rodrygo is only 17 years old...

Congrats to Luka Modric!
+3
From being voted the worst signing to winning BD'or ... that's Luka's journey so far :)
+3
I have a feeling Courtois will follow the same footsteps.

Also, I maybe biased but if it wasnt Modric, then Ronaldo would have deserved it this year imo.
+2
If Cr hadn't left Madrid I strongly believe we'd be celebrating him winning it.
+1
Its possible, with all the Madrid votes going to him he may have been bumped up from 2nd to 1st. Although im sure Juve voted for Ronaldo, so its not clear if he would have got enough votes.

Other than Barcelona, everyone else that was sitting on top of Real in the table, droped points this week. Not bad.

That’s Espanyol, deportivo, Athletico, Sevilla, even Girona.
