So Marcelo out for two weeks with dislocated shoulder and Bale is doubtful rumours are he re injured his calf.

Same story over and over and over again.
When did we become such an injure prone team? Right now we are in "amazing" shape, with only Pepe,Marcelo and Bale out. That sound great compared to some other periods of the season.

Pepe,Ramos,Marcelo,Modric,James,Bale,Jese..all seem to be injure prone( except James,he's just been unlucky, all of his injures came after somebody injured him). We can't really expect to go far with our key players taking turns with injures.
100% it seems as other teams get through their bad injury spells and we go through them like a merry go round.

James early injury this season really set him back as well and he still trying to regain consistant form your right. Last game everytme James touched the ball in the first half he got whacked for it.

Modric gets similar treatment amazing he doesnt get injured more.

Whis makes CR7 so amazing for his age he gets whacked all the time and still manages to play most games a season.
True that, James was in great forme before he got injured,he's struggling to find it now. We really do need him back to his best. Bale as well,he was amazing before this injurie.

I think only Ronaldo,Isco and Kroos didn't get injured this season. That's 3 players from 22 that didn't get injured. You really can't expect much like this.

I blame La Liga. They fail to protect our players when they allow teams to rough up our players. They've discovered that by intimidation, playing physical, and disrupting gameplay by fouling they can gain the upper hand. There is nothing wrong with playing "physical" per se. But when the teams come in with the purpose of fouling? as was evidenced from what Sporting Gigon coach said after they lost to Real, complaining that they lost because "they failed to foul until the 27th minute", there is something wrong! The referees are failing to protect the game when teams realize they can use FOULING as a strategy! THAT is why our players have been prone to get injured in recent times. My opinion is that the referees shouldn't allow for this strategy to be too successful.

We will find out today if we lost Marcelo for the next couple of games with a shoulder injury.

Good news again from Real Madrid Castilla beating thrid place Real union when it mattered to protect second place and stay within two points of Basque leaders Barakaldo.

Losing Marcelo would be a crucial blow. Why have we not addressed the LB problem for two transfer windows in a row? Our RB Danilo and Arbelo should cover that position. Really? Don't know witch one is worst lol

At least we could have brought Coentrao back.
+1
LOL good points, but Danilo while he hasnt been up to snuff yet I dont think he is as bad as many of us are dumping on him about, but I completely understand what you mean, but I felt the very same way about Marcelos coverage yesterday of our backline, there are games he just doesnt know when to push and when to stay back.
I think Nacho would be the best choice to play LB.

My choices would be Nacho > Danilo > Bale > Arbeloa

As a barça's fan, I always want Real to lose but I was genuinely glad to see Modric and Zizou celebrate the winner goal. Both are players I like and admire. I must say Zizou brings a friendly face to your team.
It's just a disturbing feeling I wanted to share...
I've already booked a rendez-vous with my psychologist :P

Typical tough game away from home. Sigh..

A lot of positives to take away, Modric was phenomenal. Kovacic played nicely too once he came on. Carvajal was also good.

Will Ronaldo score anytime soon in a game we don't win by 3+ goals?
+6
Yep, Ronaldo was a ghost again, it's becoming very concerning.
+4
I have to say I liked the old Benzema more. He didn't score that much, but he contributed much more to our play.
Ronaldo was horrible. I would like to see him get subbed off one day
+3
Kovacic really gave us a boast when he came in,we were really lacking his fast legs in midfield.

Not the best of matches,I'm just glad we got away with 3 points.
Honestly it is difficult to sub a person like Ronaldo because you never know when he might just spring back to life and score a goal. Also not to mention the sponsors and how much they would complain if they saw that happen.
+1
Sponsors shouldn't have that great an impact on football.
Happy with the 3 points but I don't think we'll challenge Barca for the title let alone win it
Decent first half, but there's far too little movement and Ramos is playing like a 80 year old grandma again.

Navas or Neuer?
Starting XI:

Navas,
Carvajal,Varane,Ramos,Marcelo,
James,Kroos,Modric,Isco
Benzema,Ronaldo

We've been terrible away from home this season, and that needs to stop from now on,expecially against teams like Granada. Hala Madrid!
Bale didn't make the squad list, wasn't he scheduled to be back this week?

Hopefully we come away with the win.

Edit: I think Zidane should be rotating more, I know we're out of the Copa Del Rey but once Champions League comes around we can't keep playing the same team. This is the same 11 as the one vs espanyol. Games like today are good to give players like Kovacic, Casemiro and Jese chances.
Zidane said Bale is good, but they didn't want to risk him for today,he'll be back for Bilbao probably.

And I agree, there should be more rotation, even thou our players are well rested. The problem is,when the time comes for Jese, Kova and co to step up,they won't have enough match fitness.
Yep, fitness and chemistry will be an issue if we don't rotate at all.

Edit: Brothers account, Hikmat here. :)
Lads buy Kane and Vardy to help Arsenal buy Bale.
