? will we ever see 2 world stars from both Brazil and Argentina working together knowing the rivalry between those two nations. Especially since both of them aren't just part of their National teams but they're the face of their National Teams.
Neymar and Messi!!!!
Neymar and Messi!!!!
Neymar a worldstar?
What did he achieve to be called a worldstar?
He is a talented youngster like many others. Not more.

Any American fans with atleast an MLS Team as a second team should come to mls forum i mean i could use some company out there :(
To provide evidence that Pepe isn't defending Casillas against Mourinho's criticisms due to being dropped from the squad for Varane:
"Varane is still only 19, not that you would think it. "I told him at the start of the season that I thought he would be one of the best centre-backs in the world in a couple of years," his team-mate Pepe says."
"Pepe calls him "super-humble"."

You think Pepe would have come out and said those things if he had been a regular starter for the past 4 months. I seriously doubt it.
Also why didn't he come out say those things before during the season? He only feels brave enough when Mourinho is on his way out.
I was dissapointed in Pepe. Especially when it was Mou the only person to defend him publicly when he was being attacked with people calling him 'butcher' and 'murderer' and he should be banned from football etc.

@Slim Aye, I see what you're saying, but put yourself in Pepe's situation and tell me what you'd do:
- defend the guy that defended you against unfair attacks
- or defend the guy that is being unfairly attacked
Not the easiest situation to deal with or come up with an "everyone wins" solution.
Anyway, if you read the whole thing it's good news that pretty much everyone considers Varane the nicest guy in the world and that it's pretty hard to hate or be jealous of him. Looks like everyone wants to see the kid do well and become the best.

Mou never attacked Casillas. He was being bombarded with "Casillas' questions every pre and post press conference. Out of 12 questions, 10 would be about Casillas.
Finally Mou had enough and answered truthfully and logically why he chose Diego Lopez ahead of Casillas. You can agree with his assessment and decision or not but he never 'attacked' Casillas.
But of course to the Spanish media just benching Casillas was already an attack.

Well Barcelona just signed Neymar... Hopefully he isn't the next Ronaldinho because we can't afford for that to happen here at Madrid...
@ Hunsij00 ^^^^Latest reports....could be bull but someone started it....

Realfan, let me make it clear from the beginning. Ronaldinho and Kaka are very different players from Neymar. For starters, both players are very intelligent. Something I fail to see in Neymar. Neymar is a raw talent with a huge repertoire of tricks just like Robinho. Look what happened to Robinho's entire career. It's almost a complete failure. Until and unless Neymar learns to use his brains, he will never be on Ronaldinho's level. Intelligent players will always have the edge over players who are purely skilled.
the thing neymar is second most profitable atlete after beckham. barca are going to earn s**t loads of money from this. plus they got him cheap. as much as i hate to say this they hit a gold mine. we need to make intelligent signings now
@DerBomba
Neymar has achieved more in his career so far than Robinho had by the time he was Neymar's age.. and Neymar is not only creatively flashy, he's freakishly spontaneous and unpredictable too. He's also a very smart player for a player of his age and 'lack' of good European footballing experience.
He's no Ronaldinho but he's no Robinho either lol

Man if Coentrão leaves, I'll be annoyed. Am I the only one on here that prefers him to Marcelo? Has Carvajal played LB at all this season? If not then we are getting rid of one problem, but creating another.
It sucks if he does leave. I liked having two of the best leftbacks in the world at our club. Plus he was one of our better performers this season
Marcelo has been in poor form since October. MementoMori is right, Coentrão has been one of our most important players this season. This better all just be a tactic for a contract extension.
LOL, most likely but the have to pay more to the other stake holders from what I understand probably just over 30 million Euro, a lot has to do with where the player wants to go himself as well.
BREAKING NEWS: "Santos FC announces that it has received two proposals for Neymar," said the club via its official Twitter account. "The Management Committee of the club decided to negotiate the sale of the player.
"Neymar and his father are expected in Belmiro to choose which proposal the player will accept."
Madrid and Barca are probably the two clubs. He will pick Barca... right?

Actually he suits Madrid and doesn't suit Barcelona.
Neymar needs to have the freedom to do what ever he wants. At Barcelona he won't get that freedom he will at Madrid. Looking at pass top players Barcelona have signed and failed I have no idea why Neymar wants to play for Barcelona and not Madrid. He knows at Barcelona he will have one job and one job only; pass the ball to Messi. At Madrid he will have the freedom to do his little fancy tricks and show off to the world.
If I were a betting man I would bet he will end up like Sanchez and Villa.

He's even less suited for Barcelona. Not good for La Liga in general, he'll get eaten alive. He'll need a few years to adapt.
He won't fit in with Madrid, Barca or Bayern. He needs to go to a club like Juve where he is completely free of defensive duties. Until and unless Madrid or Barca gives up the fixed role system, Neymar will probably not thrive and turn out as another Robinho.
@Realfan, are you telling me that at Madrid his job would not be to pass to Ronaldo? You know, considering that is what all other attacking players do in your team
excuse me weegeez, but cr7 does everything by himself, he doesn't need help from anyone, everyone in barcelona passes to messi, thats where he gets all his goals from tap ins and sitters, we saw this season how confused barca is without messi.
First PSG now Monaco are following in their foot steps? lol
Porto duo Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez are joining Monaco on a transfer deal worth €70 million.

Those 2 are overpaid, they are not worth 70mil. But looks like Monaco has money to trow away so it's all the same to them.
Has anyone noticed that since the past season many player's price tag has inflated in an uneven way?
I remember not to long ago people were proclaiming James Rodriguez the next Crisatio Ronaldo. Pssssh... good player but waaaaaaaaaaaay over paid. James is now the 9 highest transfer in history. ridiculous!
James is a very big talent, and a marquee player for Porto and to pry any important player for a team ESPECIALLY when they know you have big money your going to have to pay big, we have pretty much had to pay always at least 40% more and sometimes double just because we are Madrid. Coentrao was way to much as I recall as well.
