A bit off topic, but do you guys think Ronaldo's personal life has affected his tremendous form as of late?

Didn't he just break up with his girlfriend after a 5 year relationship? He may be a monster on the pitch, but he is human after all. I hope he finds comfort in the millions and millions of dollars he has in the bank and his beloved fans.

I knew something was off when she didn't show up to the Ballon D'or gala. What a bitch! hahahah joking!

On a serious note, relationships can mess you up mentally. I hope he comes back as hungry as ever.
Martin Ødegaard will have his first training session (as a RM player) tommorrow.
Messi's pass to Alba got me a bit hard! I really admire Leo as a footballer, top notch. The amount of times he was getting hacked today was disgusting, but his tenacity to keep going was outstanding.

Neymar was incredible as usual. Great player when he's on his feet :-)

Barcelona were the better team today, got to give them credit. It's a shame that the referee lost complete control though. A non-PK and a PK that was never called. Shocking!
+3
neymar's been really cheeky when beating his opponents lately.... maybe we should do somethin about that >:D
Im hating the fact he's becoming more of a show off. He's on form along with Leo, but now he's becoming a target for all teams :l
Arda Turan was like "I don't even like this shoe!!!" lol
+4
Hahaha for some reason that cracked me up
+2
Raul Garcia is actually worst than Costa when it comes to diving and dirty tricks.
+6
Yup! Except Costa has the better puppy eyes, so he gets away with a lot of stuff.
Like a fish out there, just flops into the box at every chance.
+2
tbh, had the referee correctly called the blatant PK, Atletico might have had a fighting chance.

Referee was absolute garbage. First PK was outside the box and he doesn't call a blatant handball. Changed the game completely.
+1
I think Gabi is just as bad as Garcia at times n he's the captain what a hell of a first half though.
+1
Agree on bad calls, but they would have no chance when Gabi cost his team any glimmer of hope they had. Stupid cards and fouls, shot themselves in the foot.
They can't help it. When atleti players are told they need to fight back to win the game they take it literally. :)
+1
They are kids. They kick you, but if you kick them back they fall and cry. Raul Garcia was a prime example.

I'm all for physical football if it's in good nature, but don't see why they can;t handle physical football back. They dish it out but hate it if it's versus them.
If you want a tough physical player who's also fair when they dish it out to him, look at Branislav Ivanovic. He can be a bit of a diver too in the opponent's box, but he's always fair when stuck in physical tussles and has that 'die-hard' mentality.

Players in Spain should learn from that and stop being hypocritical pansies when they're on the receiving end of physical challenges if they are the sort of players who are thugs themselves.
+1
@Jeroen,

That is a perfect example, I completely agree. The guy is a monster for Chelsea. I rate him very highly.
Really exciting game going on...hoping for equally exciting second half..
On another note, many fans of Barca during Guardiola era would have said that Barca's game today was not "beautiful"; but for me, I like it!!!
+2
Hope Carlo is watching.... its clear to see how easy it is to walk past atelti's defense when they are forced to have the ball.
+1
So Atletico had 51% possession in the first half. Now they did manage to score 2 goals, but look at their defense, completely out of position and very easy to go trough on counters. I mean, you always see one of Barca's front 3 alone, and that's absurd defending.

Why am i stating this? Because for the longest time now,I've suggested that if you give the ball to Atletico and sit a little deeper, you will destroy them on counters. Look how easy it it for Barca to counter them, now image what would we do,the best counterattacking team in the world. If only Carlo would try this in 2 weeks.
+1
Thought they're chasing the game from start , they didn't faced similar situation while playing you guys
+1
they wont play ball untill they have to,if they want play football, you should score at start..
Yep, I think most of us can agree on that. Atletico are not that hard to beat, give them the ball and they will create, but on a good day for our defense we can shut them out and hit them on the counter.

I don't see it happening though, because today they NEEDED to score, against us they'll be happy to lob it back to us and sit back.

We could hope for an early goal for us, forcing them to push up but we always start slow.
LOL it isnt the simple, you make it seem so easy to just give the ball to Atleti. I mean did you forget they can just kick it back? Atleti came into the game on the back foot, they had to attack
+2
They are behind us and Barcelona in La Liga, playing on Calderon in two weeks. i think they need that win more than us if they want to defend their title, they will need to attack.
+1
Yes that could be a reason for them to hit us hard, didn't take into account the league. Our best hope would be to score really early, pull a Torres and then sit back absorbing pressure and hitting them on the break.

Of course they're also missing Koke and Godin today, tough luck.
@pejvl , that can be reason , but for obvious atleti will be underdog in that match too and everyone along with real fan will want real to attack them rather take a defensive approch
+1
Xavi coaching Neymar there. Whistle blows and starts talking s**t to Atletico players. Go into your locker room and do what you need to do, you're winning. No need for that.
+2
You surely observe Xavi very closely..like you were sitting next to Xavi and listening him clearly whatever he's saying. HAHAHAHa..lol
+10
? Never seen Xavi provoking players on the field
+2
Ya xavi do speak s**t in some interviews but i don't remember seeing him having verbal abuse match with opponents especially during half time and end of match , perhaps confusing ramos with xavi ?
+11
Better than Punching them amirite?
+12
Lol bad joke, didn't tickle your funny bone it seems guys.
