Whatever it was we changed today, i think it looked good. We were exciting, we didnt let them make any threats on our goal except for 1. We still need to produce more clear chances, but it really did look like classic/original Madrid. Deserved win (didnt think i would be saying those words this season)
Seems the judge dismissed the case against Barcelona for fielding an ineligible player in Copa Del Rey, saying the complaint was too late. It’s hard to say who is right as it seems both sides had an argument and there is two interpretations of the rules, but the FREF could have at the very least heard Levante’s case. Now Levante is appealing the decision of the judge who dismissed their complaint.

Looks like we aren’t the only team who makes stupid mistakes like this after all. But from the looks of it, unlike us, Barca escaped disqualification.
have you guys made up your mind about Santi or are you waiting for Sevilla game?
He is not good enough. Then again the problem might be with the players’ attitude or age, or both. What did you have in mind? In my opinion, if we don’t get back some of these injured players by time we play Sevilla, we are doomed.
There's a big problem with players' attitude but it's got alot to do with the boss as well in my opinion. I just dont like the way Solari sets up the team to play. I liked Lopi so I might be biased
I have to disagree, Lupe’s system was seriously flawed. There were games where we literally wouldn’t pose a single threat on goal. At least now they can attack sometimes. I wonder if Real terrible form has to do with the fact that we are set for a rebuild and some of the players know this and just don’t have motivation anymore or are simply looking forward to their plans for next year possibly with another team.
Something fishy is going on with La Liga and the Spanish referees association. Perez who just recently had joined the board of directors has threatened to step down from the board and has refused to attend the meeting regarding VAR. The appointment of referee Carlos Clos Gomez, “the referee who has hurt Los Merengues the most over the last decade, in charge of the VAR system is just one more dig by the Spanish Football Federation.”

“VAR has become defective, the criteria for decisions isn't clear and there is a lack of information”.

What the heck is happening??

No more offside goals? OH WOE!
+1
Na, just stating facts. I think they speak for themselves.
+2
Only offside goals against us like in the last game lol

I don't know how many times we had a clear pen or a legitimate call for it and the VAR was not even used ...
+2
So now that the image of Betis goal is out, I would like to know why is it that when there is a call against Real the VAR has to have “clear and convincing” evidence to overrule the referee, but when the ref calls offside in Real’s favor, VAR throws “clear and convincing” standard out the door and just overrules the referee based on its own opinion. That offside was too close to overrule the referee’s decision.

looking at the way this team is playing, one might think Mou is the coach
We are an average team this season. Look at our goal difference. But what the heck is wrong with the BeIn sport announcer. Literally every other utterance from him was a jab at Real. Literally. It’s too much.

By the way. I don’t get the rule for offside. How many times has Real’s goals been disallowed because a shoulder was sticking into offside? I’ve known the rule forever, that when in doubt, it’s onside, but that hasn’t been the case when we score. Now all of a sudden the feet being onside is enough? I don’t know anymore.

Ps: this is not to defend the performance but we had to play with the 5 defenders for this game. We have 7 or 8 injuries. Nobody was available to play alongside Vinicious and Benz.
I know that injuries played a major part in the way team was setup but there's Isco to play further up the field. Also, when playing with 5 defenders plus Casemiro who spends alot of time playing kind of like a defender, why not use Marcelo. I agree that Marcelo's defending leaves a lot to be desired but when playing with 5 defenders with Casemiro and Valverde, why not use him?
Yeah, I share your frustration, believe me. I’m not happy with this Madrid. But I would also add that both Marcelo and Isco have been terrible this season. It’s like they are out of shape or something. Isco slows the play down to the point that passing it to him on a quick counter almost always results in failure. He still dribbles good on the spot, but offers no forward momentum. I can see why Valverde gets the call ahead of Isco. He is faster, and at least doesn’t break up our counterattacks.

Btw we were so short on offensive players that Vinicious had to play despite having the flu.
I think Bale needs to go. He's not living up to expectations. Not by a longshot

We could probably swap him for Hazard. Both players should be about the same value.

I was a huge believer in Bale. I saw his potential even when the boo boys were calling for his head. Heck i even blame the boo boys for his injury as i believe his chronic calf injury started because he exerted himself too much to prove that he was good enough (although i have no proof, just a hunch). But even i have to say enough is enough. Bale has huge potential if only he could stay healthy long enough to get to his maximum fitness, but alas, that never happens because as soon as he even begins to get game fit, another injury sidelines him. Its over. We need to sell, and bring a consistent performer.

Problem is, when Real goes shopping they give them quotes of €350 million for Kane. Thats the price of Tottenham’s new stadium!
Bale is a great player but injuries have messed him up, he is better suited for PL than La Liga

Chelsea atm won't sell Hazard, unless it's in the summer
Not sure how PL would be different though. It’s not like anyone is injuring him, he just gets injured. Well, maybe these refs are a little lenient when Real players get kicked every time they get a pass, but Bale’s injuries aren’t related to those.
The football is way more intense in England: more games and more end to end. If he cant stay fit in Spain he will never be fit in England..he should go to italy. Manchester United won't be interested and I don't think anyone else would pay big money for bale.
It’s so good to see Vinicious score. He deserves it. He had 1 assist & 1 goal today.

He unsettles defenses. Every time he gets the ball he creates something either for himself or others. And that’s at a time when the team isn’t doing so hot. Imagine if the team could actually provide him with opportunities as well.

Brahim Díaz signed. Finally. Hope he does well.
