Valencia on behalf of Gary Neville had sent a fax to Real Madrid thanking and praising Castilla but our office never got it... #brokenFaxMachine
Ronaldo is 7 goals away from becoming 2nd all time top scorer in la liga after Lionel Messi.
+5
lol what a pointless statistic. messi will be at barca scoring long before ronaldo is shipped out.
Not pointless at all, Messi has been in la liga all his life while CR7 came to la liga only in 2011 and is already up there competing for the top goalscorer ever.

He is a golazo machine, thats what this stat is about.
+3
Yes I considered that, but as I said, he is never going to get the record. He came to Madrid at or near his peak, I think he is about 2.5-3 years older than messi, and came to madrid at 24/25 so he is never going to own this record as messi still has at least a 1-2 Yrs in his late 20s while ronaldo is heading for mid 30s. It is an accomplishment, but I don't think it says much at all except that he adapted quickly to La liga. Who didn't know he scores a lot of goals?
So this was Zidanes first big test, what do you guys think?

We played some of the best attacking football this season,it was really a joy to watch like I said below. It was fast, accurate and deadly. Benzema was the only one who was bad in attack, but hey,he deserves some slack after enduring the most consistent period in his life :)

Ronaldo was MOTM for, followed by Kroos and James.

Bad part was the defense obviously. This was the first time i saw Varane play like Ramos lol. But that red card was complete BS,and it will hurt us. They were coming at us way to much in the first half.

Overall,i would say Zidane did great on his first exam :)
MOTM easily CR7 he had an amazing goal scoring match passing and defensive work was non existent but hey i suppose we have accepted that fact by now LMAO.

Squawkas based on 500 000 data points had the top three

1. CR7
2. Elustondo
3. James
(4.) Kroos (cause I like him very much lol)
+1
Lol,it's sad how normal it has became that our defense is terrible. And talking about Kroos,he's finally getting back,he was so bad under Rafa,
Explain how a legend like CR7 can have 69%pass completion rate please?
+1
In this game Tharius? Didn't really see it,he was amazing today. But that is a very low number.

I also remember that we as a team often had only around 70% pass accuracy under Rafa...terrible...
No Varane against Atletico will kill us, despite his mistake he played well and Pepe isn't ready just yet.

nvm Malaga comes first haha
+1
I disagree, and I dont blame varane for the two yellows that were complete bullshit, but his playing and clearances have been very very inconsistant for a number of games, he is really struggling when he has to play with his back to the opposite goal and running back towards ours.
Varans red was such BS,he didn't deserve any of those yellow cards.

And i don't know Tharius,Varane has been our best defender this season imo. Expecially on one on one situations,i don't think i saw a single attacker go past him this whole season.
I think you guys are not watching the quality of his clearances and his play under pressure, his speed is undesputible and perhaps over shadows mistakes but just read an op add about this very discussion we are having where varane has averaged 3 to 4 turnovers from passing out of the back per the games he has played take that stat as you will but as a defender it is a very dangerous way to play, next game watch his clearances and where those balls go to.

Out of our back four today for instance he recieved the lowest score by a wide margin based on his performance average and it was mentioned by commentators post match on BeIN that have also noticed this trend.

Is varane the future of our defense i sure hope so the kid has all the talent in the world is he having a bad spell like all players do imo he is.

And with our defense being as leaky as it has been frankly their is very very little room for errors.
I don't blame him for the red card at all, read my post. Although I agree with you Tharius, sometimes playing it out isn't an option. On a couple of occasions today players should have cleared but invited unwanted pressure for no reason.
Our attack has been a joy to watch...
+2
I agree, but the defense ayaya.
Our defense does need work and Varane needs to get his head in the game
Exciting half great offense today defense not so much.

And since he always seems to get flack everywhere imo Danilo has been one of our better defenders in the first half.

Varane is giving to many dangerous balls away frankly.
Starting XI:

Navas,
Carvajal,Varane,Ramos,Danilo,
James,Modric,Kroos,Kovacic,
Benzema,Ronaldo

Danilo it is...let's see something good from him,it's about time. Also Kovacic starts, and Isco gets rested. A bold move from Zizou, but Kova deserved this chance. Hala Madrid!
And thus begins the true test for Zidane and the team, this stretch of games is going to be more or less what dictates how are season may end, lets hope his mini pre season has had enough of an effect on the squad and the fans can reap some reward.
i have a feeling danilo is going to f*****k up tomorrow in defence
What's wrong with Carvajal or do you mean for the left side?
left side
so whats up with the ban...

i'm guessing we prob won't be signing any one this summer and the next window
It's been suspended,we'll probably postpone it enough so that we can bye and register in the next summer window, After that we'll get a 2 period ban.

Although it could be removed completely, since there are some ridiculous allegations, even Zidanes kids were troubled cases witch is crazy,Zizou said it himself lol.
