Not sorry Morata's gone as he would've still been up and down at Madrid. As long as he has to compete with Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema the team's play would not have him as the tip of the spear as what we're seeing at Chelsea now. The guy is a striker no doubt but as long as we have certain player types at Madrid, quality like Morata would struggle to be consistent. At Chelsea he's the target and he knows that and plays accordingly. At Madrid he was a 'help' so to speak for Ronaldo and it makes it hard for any quality striker to shine next to a goal scorer like Ronaldo. Glad to see another Madrid academy product shine, but saddened to always see that shine glint off another team's badge.

I wish Morata all the success as a footballer but hoping it doesn't come at the expense of Real Madrid.
+1
Real Madrid would definitely have been better with Morata as a squad player. But a striker of Morata's caliber should be in the starting 11 and he definitely made a good choice of leaving real madrid as he would not have been the first choice striker there. I am glad we got him.
+2
We lost Morata in favor of Benzema smh
+2
Can we move on already?
+1
Thank you.^

We made a bad choice (for the time being) but it's done. I'm happy for Morata but it doesn't mean I hate Benzema, I mean can you blame.him for being favoured over Morata?
Our defense looks shaky. Ronaldo was very unlucky today, almost scored a worldclass goal.
Ceballos :)
surprised no one mentioned the role of the refs in yesterday's game. That particular ref always makes us drop points because he refuses to call fouls. So the other team gets comfortable with playing dirty in the box. On two occasions 4 real players had to go talk to him saying "look they are fouling deliberately to stop play how come there are no cards?", or they are standing too close after the fouls so we can't play the ball. Casemiro literally had to push one guy off the ball because he wouldn't move, the ref sees it, does NOTHING about it.

Then there were the at least 2 uncalled penalties. Modric, ramos, Carvajal, and Isco go talk to him after the guy was literally grabbing Ronaldo with both hands, wrestling him inside the box, NONE of the referees see it? Real players go up to him and inquire about it. His response is to act like he is SURPRISED. wtf??? It was obvious he saw it from his facial reaction. Like saying "no way, really? that happened? ohhh sorry, I'm so concerned, maybe next time". The defender was holding Ronaldo on each corner kick. It was a ridiculous performance by the refs again. horrible.

I think there needs to be a push on La Liga Referees association to become more transparent because this is NOT working. For all we know, there is literally no repercussions for these referees when they make mistakes. They are a self governing organization with literally no oversight whatsoever. Its not right. They should have to report to someone.
I guess that United fan was right, Neymars money well spent on refs muhahaha!

But I agree. La liga refs are garbage.
I agree refrees are bad but there was no major error from refree in that game for anyone to talk about.
+6
I haven't made a comment about the refs or the very obvious calls they missed because I know they are just bad in general, I don't buy into a grand conspiracy like the majority of the Barca fans do (only when they're losing though).

The referee missed the handball on the line which is a goal and direct red card. Not to mention a few other questionable calls in the box on corner kicks. They had 2 guys on Ronaldo, one gave him a bear hug every time and the other jumped up with him.

That doesn't mean its a big old plot hatched by the evil bastards in Catalonia. It just means the referees in Spain are garbage and yesterday's game we suffered directly because of it.
Hikmat, What :O????? You don't say...But what about Neymars money? :(
There is no conspiracy. BUT lets just state some ominous facts too. In the first 3 games of this season, Real has suffered 3 red cards 2 of which were blatantly unfair. 3 red cards is how many red cards Barcelona has had in 2 years time. I reiterate, NO CONSPIRACY. But it still has to make you wonder.

As to yesterdays game, there were 2 occasions that would have resulted in penalties, fairly. But no call. The handball could have gone unnoticed, but when they are holding Ronaldo with two hands on more than one occasion... The ref has to be blind. all 3 of them.
Sanjeevdhital... the very clear handball on top of the line from CR's backheel wasn't a major error from referee in that game for anyone to talk about?
+1
2 of which were unfair? You can make a case for Ronaldo but Marcelos was unfair? He kicked out at the player.

It's not the first time Marcelo has done something dirty out of frustration. You don't remember the chop on Fabregas? Or the tackle from behind on Muller because he was frustrated? Or the kick from behind on the Sevilla player after he was pushed out of bounds?

As amazing as Marcelo is, he has a hot head. And he's not the only player in Madrid that loses their temper so that's why Madrid has more red cards than Barca.
What's there to wonder? Ramos is the most red carded person in europe. Then you had Pepe. Marcelo regularly stamps and kicks people and he's gotten away with many incidents. He elbowed messi last year. He's pretty good at it. Isco kicked neymar out of frustration and got sent off last year. Cr7 is lucky to not get banned more often after pushing kicking opponents. There are a handful of madrid players who don't hit opponents. Benzema, varane, modric and maybe Kroos are calm. Most of the other veterans misbehave and you guys are wondering about red cards?

Suarez gets fouled and usually doesn't get penalties because he's a diver. Cr7 has a similar reputation. La liga refs are pretty bad but refs usually ignore penalty appeals from certain players because of their reputation.

hey hey hey Sanchez and Frankey
I know you two are always ready to get the Barcelona pitchforks out all the while looking for excuses to stealth troll the Madrid page.

So let me break it down for you instead of getting into your attempts to draw the argument to Marcelo and your over generalizations to draw a response... So as I SAID, "2 out of 3 were unfair", again, in case you missed it "2 out of 3 were unfair".

Marcelo's straight red may have been warranted. (although I wonder if Neymar would have got a straight red had he done it)

Not that you didn't know this already but the 2 unfair red cards were given to Ramos, and Ronaldo. Any questions?

Oh and Franky...Please don't compare Ronaldo to Suarez... Ronaldo may exaggerate contacts inside the box or draw a professional foul to get a penalty, Suarez 'fakes the contact' itself, then goes down and pretends to be dying from pain. so please don't...thanks.

Once again, I would like to mention what got you guys hot and bothered.
FACT: Barcelona has had 3 red cards over the course of 2 years, Real gets 3 red cards in 3 games. 2 of them are completely unwarranted. Those are facts. Not opinions.
+3
LOL!! Ramos' red card was unfair? He has 20+ f*****g red cards. They are all unfair? He got his first yellow by arguing and pushing a player. He got his second yellow when he elbowed the player going for a header.

How delusional do you have to be? Which one was unfair? Lol pretty sure even Madrid fans were agreeing that it was a red. It's funny how a player who has the most red cards in the history is being defended.

"Those are facts not opinions" 😂 do you knw what facts mean? Just cause you think they are unwarranted that makes it fact? Wtf kinda logic is that? I think Canada is the best country in the world, is that a fact?
+3
Stealth troll? Do you even know what the words "stealth" and "troll" mean? If I make a comment then there's nothing stealthy about it. A troll is someone who makes comments with the intent to annoy someone. Just because you don't like to be corrected doesn't make it trolling. In case you didn't realize this is a forum. Don't get your panties in a bunch because someone doesn't pat you on your back for your opinions.

There's no over generalization here. Your were "wondering" why Barca doesn't get red cards and Madrid does. Again you made another silly comparison with number of red cards Barca had received compared to Madrid over 3 years as if all teams play the same way.

Barca plays possession football. So they don't end up tackling a lot. Barca players also try to win the ball back instead of just fouling the opponent. Part of this is game philosophy and part of it is due to the fact that Barca is weak aerially and giving up fouls allows opponents to drop balls into the box via fk. Not all fouls are created equal. So there's no need to wonder why there's disparity in red card count. Bayern has similar stats as Barca and regularly win FIFA fair play award for receiving least number of yellows because of their style of play.

Of course Suarez can't be compared to cr7. Cr7 drops without contact but you can't see that because he "may"be doing that. All those YouTube videos of cr7 diving around and holding his face in agony are also fake. Cool story!

I don't even know what you're trying to prove with these FACTS. 😆 Chelsea has 4 red cards this season while United has none. What does that imply? Do we need to wonder? It's one thing to complain about pks not given to Madrid and another to make foolish comparisons with Barca.

Actually we did play really well yesterday... but it's one of those games that had already been written we were not going to score..
...the only unexpected was a last minute goal from betis. They played well, considering they are away.. and were lucky to get that priceless goal at the last minutes.

One of our Ex players coming back to hunt us again.. they always do.. This time Adan was just a brick wall covering the entire net. he was really superb..

This is why i cry so bad and i said selling morata will definitely affect us...
This are the type of games he was coming in as a sub last year and wining them for us.
zidane should learn from mistakes... he should always start with a striker... not becos Ronaldo can't score, but when all the opponents defenders are covering him, how is it going to work out?
Mayoral should have started that game... no excuse.

Bale is quickly seeing the light... we are begining to see a glimpse of his former self... thats a postitve to take from the game..

we didn't score.. that was the only difference in that game.. every other thing was just right..
Well there goes our league title. GG Zidane and team
Not gonna say I'm not happy you guys keep dropping points but its still a looong journey of a season to go through and its way too early to say you guys are out realistically.

I'm just cautiously optimistic at best.
As far as I saw, Isco and Luka were the only ones who were creating something and delivering on the mantle for CR7 and Bale to finish them but were subbed off lol.

What was Zidane thinking?? I know he needed goals but no midfield with 6 strikers on from like 72nd minute???
my thoughts exactly...... Absolutely reckless, irresponsible and moronic.. even an amateur coach won't do that kinda s**t...

Marcelo gets injured so you put Miro at CB? have Ramos play wherever the f**k? take off ur only CAM? take off Modric who was having a great game? where the f**k is the balance? Have the option of Nacho on the bench and put him on for Marcelo but instead play without a LB? with 16 mins + extra time to go? What the f**k?

As soon as he did that when Marcelo came off, every Betis attack was 5v3, 3v2, 2v1.... with Miro at CB, that means Kroos is literally the only mid vs 4 other Betis midfielders... when we attack, sure we flood the box and make danger but when they counter at 0-0 that means Kroos is literally the only who could possibly run back, make a tackle and win balls... this is TONI KROOS in the 85th minute. What the f**k did he think would happen?
ZZ for all that he's achieved is still making grave rookie coaching mistakes. There's no reason as was said to take off AMs for strikers. This is the same s**t that this team did when they won the league under Mou. It's like after winning the league they fighting to retain it isn't a priority anymore.
Its not like Madrid didn't create chances. Adan made some phenomenal saves and madrid missed a few good chances. I'm not a big fan of Zidane as a manager, but a manager's job is to create conditions to win not to put the ball in the net. Madrid did all of that except score. And i doubt anybody can blame zidane for conceding a last min goal. Last year, madrid was playing similar games and squeezing out wins or draws towards the end. This year, until now they haven't been able to get that 85th min win.
What a joke. Can someone find out the number of crossed we threw into the box with every single player marked by two men or more?

Tactically, Zidane Got every thing wrong. Isco is your only central creative player? Take him out for a winger! Defender hurt? Throw in another winger (who can cross)!

The only positive I saw was Bale and maybe Mayoral. That's it. Every other player was either missing chances they usually score (Ronaldo), being to scared (midfielders) or playing their man onside to give them the three points (captain Ramos).

I questioned whether Ceballos and Mayoral are enough to replace 31 goals by Morata and James. Obviously, we lost a lot of depth and it showed in a midweek game against Real Betis.
it's 4 penalties we've not been given this season already... clear handball on top of the line that should have been followed with a red card. everything would have changed there.

All of that being said.. don't know whats the issue. We've been completely dominating these teams at home... and yet we manage to miss tapins, their keepers make amazing saves and they always manage to score on us.

7 points behind even this early means that la liga is over to me and we haven't even played a tough game yet away from home and only 1 at home.

All 3 teams that have taken points away from us haven't deserved it but thats how football is. You don't score.. they score on you.. especially with our defense
Congrats to Real Betis they played like champions all heart, brains and some luck. bye bye
