Paragraph on racism and balotelli from pirlo's autobiography

http://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/2h49lk/pirlo_on_balotelli_and_racism_from_his/

'sharks can die of loneliness after a while'

Amazing , could have been a best writer of our time , but instead chose to grace football field with his class !!!!!
Messi just keeps on wowing. I'm in love
Cruyff then argued that current Bayern boss Pep Guardiola is a better coach than Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

"Pep's ability to turn a con into a pro is typical for him as a coach," the Ajax legend stated. "He is one of the best coaches in the world for me.

"I have no doubt about it that Pep is better than Mourinho. Pep's aim is to improve football and get his team to the next level.

"Unlike Mourinho, he played in front of 100,000 fans. The game in general is important to him. For Mourinho, all that matters is his team, his qualities and his mentality."
+2
You can't able to compare much better way than this,so accurate..
Yes agreed pep is a great coach..but saying he is better than Mourinho is bit of an overstatement imo..Mourinho has achieved a lot at different places and even with teams like porto and inter(no disrespect but i cant see them along with big clubs)..cant say i will say the same thing when they both retire but currently i think mourinho is better than pep..
+2
you know this is an interesting topic actually. Mourinho was never a professional football player when compared to Pep's success at barca. Does a manager need playing experience to be a good manager? the difference will produce a difference type of managing a team. which leads to the main topic of emotional managing vs pragmatic managing. IMO i have no idea what to think but I do believe that emotion is part of the sport both for us fans and for the players, but should the managers get involved in this emotional enterprise we go through?

mourinho
"i don't believe in stories of passion and heart, maybe i am too pragmatic. he did his job as a professional"
"when he decided to go to a direct competitor the love stories are over"

http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29305064

recently jose mourinho started this big argument between chelsea fans and if you go to their forums you will see. is lampard a traitor for playing for another club or is he still a legend who is just doing his job while he waits for the team who bough him. I completely disagree with mourinho he cant just ignore the fact that a club legend was put in that posiciton and he can diminish the acomplishments and the sacrifices he did for the club he loves since he was the one who put him in that situation.

I'd also point out that good ol jose pretty much what he said when asked about him: reporter initially says its a dramatic end and mourinho bullies him and says there is nothing dramatic about that. the reporter asks "the chelsea fans are going to be talking about lampard what do you think about that" he just waves his hands and says "im a chelsea manager I speak about my players"... as if he never speaks about other players or complains himself about other players? but that is the mourinho that we know and even though he might be results manager he could never be the best manager IMO because he doesnt realize that football is more than just strategies and training and tactics. there is something else we love about it but mourinho cant see it.

@andres201..
although i agree everything you said about mourinho..i still don't find how pep is better than mourinho...if you just consider managerial skills..imo..
Simply put--Mourinho does what he is paid for..Most of the clubs only want results these days..just give him what he need and in return he will deliver the results..he is no emotional attachment with any players or clubs(although i think he has something for Chelsea)
But Pep has worked with 2 great teams when both are their prime..at Barca he got great team with a player like Messi at his peak.
And he went Bayern team which has great bunch of players who won everything in the previous year..
i think his managerial abilities have been not tested properly..i think he should come to PL after his time at Bayern which will more a test..
@subhakar,this is what exactly cruyff telling.as you mentioned,it is easy to point out the accolades mourincho because he projecting himself all the time, and you can't see much of pep in best football generation in history because he wasn't looking on attention rather he makes player better and football ofcource.

You might not understand, but as a cule,I have seen how he turned a struggled xavi into brain of Barcelona.or iniesta, puyol, everyone being better than of his old under him.

Am not saying mourincho is a bad coach,he is one of most successful out there, but football requires more of pep types personal than mourincho type.mourincho brings success at any cost while pep add more thing in football and win.it's simple.
Lionel Messi's incredible career stats.
523 games
399 goals
161 assists
29 hattricks
+8
It's all because he plays in La Liga. Lets see him do that on a Rainy Wednesday in Stoke :P
+16
Messi 0 goals for denmark

Bendtner 24 goals for denmark,

Haters will say messi is argentinian

Massive record though wonder if we'll ever see anything else come close
+1
Not even 1,000 goals scored. Even Pelé scored more (according to Pelé, not to according to any reliable sources).
+2
Looking at those numbers makes it very difficult to argue against Lionel Messi's footballing ability. He's definitely one of the best players in the world. Just about makes it into the top 5 active footballers.
+2
He is the best there ever was/is :D
@asa,you gotta kidding me.one of the top 20 players in the world, lol.you don't know about those beasts who are playing in Epl now,do you?I can easily name out 30 players from Epl who are better than messi ever is/was.
' Just about makes it into the top 5 active footballers '

" Laughs "

Joke of the century !!!!!!

P.S - I guess these other top four players must be playing on mars or something otherwise we would knew about them .
Guys where can i find the leader board for the Dreamfooty current season.?
+1
On the menu above: Play ---> "Leaderboards" (small icon in bottom right corner). That'll take you to the Top 100 list.
k thnx mate..but can i see their teams..? coz when u try it shows me world cup teams..
Yeah not yet. I'm not sure if that's a delay or on purpose, but I'll pass the query on.
cheers
real madrid fans were laughing at Barca's defence in summer...LOL
TBH during transfer window most of cules (including me) were also not happy with defenders we bought and prices we paid for them, though we’re still to concede a goal and looks solid at back but we also have to remember that it’s been a collective effort from whole team rather than sole super performance from defense (rakitic’s super clearance from yesterday’s match comes to mind, as much as I love cesc ,he never bothered to track back let alone commit for the ball )

So far it has been fantastic, but I will hold any judgement until deep into the seasons, it is way to early to hand out marks yet. We still haven't faced top europeans teams, and we haven't won anything yet :-(.

what I really appreciate, is the rotation of the players. Luis is instilling confidence in his young players while giving seniors much rest to stay fresh for games, very impressive.
I have been utterly impressed with how well we have kept the cleansheets. Honestly watching every game this season its a real miracle we have kept them.

Not that we make a bunch of mistakes, but the errors we do commit are going unpunished much to our fortune. All that being said Bravo and our defense have been trying incredibly hard because they know that our defensive efforts were the only thing stopping us from ruling Europe again.

Hope everything keeps on shining because we can win it all if this keeps up :D
Try this at home, fail, weep:

That's new B.Liga record too
New trend in our play is Busi intercept -> pass to messi -> messi assist .
+3
Tikicept Takassist?

God i cant stop
+1
Its becoming a FIFA like glitch , the one which we're abusing and Loving :p
+2
How about those through ball lobs mascherano was sending into the box? I almost mistook him for Rocketic or Iniesta.
+1
Rocketic ? I like what you did there ;)

Its good to see both Rocketic and Iniesta trying to shoot from long range .
+1
Rocketic or Messist, not sure which new jersey to buy
I'm not a big supporter of long distance shooting. However it's a good option to have. Rocketic has a good long distance shot which we have been missing for a while now. Xavi used to take shots a lot more before he got older and possibly because pep doesn't like blind shooting. At the moment, we still don't have a true long distance shooter although we do have several players who can shoot accurately from just outside the box. Neymar, messi, Suarez, rocketic, iniesta, alves are all good shooters. In defense we have Adriano, vermaelen, alba and even mathieu who can shot decently.

The one thing that bothers me is how we deal with aerial balls. In not just talking about set pieces. Just any ball which is in the air or if its bouncing around our players look like headless chicken running around helplessly not knowing when to jump. Its amazing to me how we manage to find extraordinarily skilled players but they all suck at winning aerial duels.
why not both? *everyone celebrates*
+2
I want Rocketic to stick. Trying to think how I can make money off it if it starts trending. ;)
Rocket in Croatian is raketa, in German its die rakete. Both are already nick-names for Rakitic.
Cool. So now we have an English version of it.
+1
hahaha Love that F4F!!! Rocketic it is :D
SUAREZ hasn't even played yet !!!!
+2
not even unboxed, someone needs to call LFC customer service for refund
+3
Nor has Vermaelen! With him we'll concede -1 goals a game on average. Yes, you heard it here first.
+3
^you really think so? I thought koscielny was the problem at arsenal.
Nope, Kos is fine .... in fact he complements well with BFG....which made our verminator lose his starting spot
+1
MINUS one. Vermaelen actually can do that.
