“Yes, I received a knock (from the elbow) but when I got up, I said sorry to Lenglet and I offered my hand because the foul was against us at first and I thought it was my foul,” he said.

”No one is to blame and in the end it goes to a third party, to VAR. I didn’t notice the contact with the elbow.” - Pere Pons

It only looks intentional if you really step through the video. In real time looked like a foul on Lenglet. This was such a bullshit call.
This was a disastrous performance against GIRONA !

Neither Suarez or Dembele showed something in this match.
Add Busi to that list.
Lol you should go on reddit and read the Barca thread for the game. Most where happy with Suarez just saying he needs to work on his finishing but one of his better performances this season. Dembele is still young and making some dumb mistakes. Just wasn't our day.
+1
Wait what?? Suarez was awesome this match the ref ruined this game with the bullshit red on lenglet. Imo Suarez was very dangerous and trying to get something out of nothing. I'm glad we at least got a point but we should've definitely won this game
+1
The red card had a big impact on the game plus Girona players were playing as if it was their first Copa final ever.
Suarez is clearly not that sharp as he was.
Coutinho should have started instead of of Arthur. And why is Munir not getting his chance in the last minutes ?!
Can somebody tell me that how's Messi aint even in top 3, when he is the leader of every stat for last season and this year in general.

What is the criteria anymore? Absolute bullshit.
+1
Player A- top scorer in the league, 4th place in the league, CL finalist, 0 trophies.

Player B- League title, league cup title and league supercup, golden boot, QF of CL.

Without knowing who, which player had a better season? If you say A then there is clearly something wrong with you.
Team trophies should mean f**k all in an individual award.
Just watch Messi and you should know enough.

And if you do attach importance to stats, Messi is the best too. If you think team trophies are important in these awards for some warped reason, Messi had a great year too.
The only way you might say he had a poor year, was if you only watched the WC.
+2
The 5th best player in the world, everyone.
Blah...
Shame he only scored the 2nd, 3rd and 4th best goals of the night.

Dembele just embarrassed them with that one.
Yep! So at this point after leading all statistics for last season, Messi has 7 goals and 2 assists in 5 games. He lead every player out there in every statistic last season and starts off even better this season.
+1
Please, footballing gods, make this another 60 goal season for Messi. I will sacrifice many refs in your honor.
Looks like Lenglet is going to get to start against Spurs
Dembouz & Leo on fire lately!
+1
Well for Leo this is his average temperature, truthfully.
+1
Whenever you give Messi a free kick in that area the opposing team should get a choice to instead give him a penalty since thatll be less likely to be a goal than Messi's freekick.
+5
I know someone here won some money! CR starting out with a tap-in had to be a bet somewhere :D
+2
Enjoy many more of those where he'll wildly celebrate on his own, even though it was a team effort to provide it on a platter :P
+3
:( it's like you know me..
Shaky performance but to be expected of us after international break. Glad we got the win!
Yeah, away at Sociedad is always really hard. Great result considering we rested our midfield and both Madrids lost points.
+1
Expected more from Atletico. Simeone always plays the victim card that he has no money but he actually has spent truck loads in the last few years and have managed to keep all their best players. Already 7 points behind us and most probably won't be in the title race this season.
+2
I think Atletico's starting XI is too strong to not be considered in the title race this early on in the season. They could potentially take 3 points away from Barca and Real. Never count Simeone out. Atletico is always a tough opponent. One good win is usually all a quality side needs to pick up steam.
