Well apparently playing dirty as f**k wins you the Copa...Shitty ass refs whole f*****g competition, dirty ass f*****g South American teams (several teams had some dirty ass players that should have been sent off in many of the matches), if only they played the way you expect South American teams, usually cheeky and full of talented players, short passes, skilled driveling....This Copa America has got to be one of the worst I've ever seen...
+2
A couple of things wrong with your statements..

First off I honestly thought the refereeing today was great not alot wrong with it. If you're talking about the rest of the tournament then yeah I completely agree.

Second.. You really must watch more southamerican football because it is exactly like that. Questionable referee, usually one goal games, teams trying to pass above the defence to their main strikers. We are just used to European football but unfortunately this is how they play. You cannot say Chile played worse.
+2
Had Argentina won you wouldn't have called it the worst
+4
Congrats to Claudio Bravo for being a god. Treble plus a Copa America, it's been a pretty good year for him I would say :D
+1
Unfortunately Messi will never be considered as one of the best in history until he wins a major trophy with Argentina... he barely had an average game and partly was because of Chile but also because of his poor decisions.he need to pass the ball faster
+1
Argentina is not built around Messi and herein lies the problem. Higuain is NOT good enough and neither is Arguero. If Messi just plays as a forward, all the problems are solved, but no, people want to see the likes of Aguero, Higuain or Tevez leading the line, failing to see how inferior these players are to Messi. The simple solution would be to play Messi as the forward and have the midfielders get the ball to him. He would seal the deal. There is no need for Aguero, Higuain or Tevez. Simple as that.
+1
So you're telling me had higuain not bottle that chance vs Germany , haters would have considered messi the best ?

I really hate the logic behind need of WC to be considered greatest , it just basically means that 7 WC matches > 160 games played on average course of 4 seasons , utterly ridicules .

Let me tell you had messi won the Wc last year haters still would have said that pele had 3 WC whereas messi had 1 so pele is better
+1
Argentina needs a better coach first. It seems like every team has a good Argentine coach, except for Argentina
+3
But when Messi plays as a forward no one in the midfield feeds him the ball so he always has to come back deep.
+2
@KingLeo
Using Messi as a forward would simply mean that there is no space for Higuain, Tevez or Aguero, which means there will be 2 spaces left in the line up for 2 creative players to come in. Surely if you scout the whole of Argentina, you would be able to find 2 or 3 good ones.
Messi plays faster and arguably better in Barca. Whether it be because he doesn't trust his teammates as much is debatable but still fact remains he will Always remain criticized while he doesn't win anything internationally.
@LastGraspWinner
I'm just telling you that because what you suggested has been tried already and that's how Argentina matches played out because of it.
I may be worth trying again tho since Pastore is much better now than he was back then.
Relax bitches,someone inform me,copa will be there again next year,so let's wait for it..
Next copa america is in 2019 in Brazil right?
^ I thought it was suppose to be in 2017 but apparently for some reason it will be held in 2016 in Murcia

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copa_América_Centenario

I guess Fifa really wants Messi to win something major with Argentina .

#Fifalona
That's the dumbest s**t I've ever heard. Messi won't be considered one of the best? He's considered the best. He doesn't need to win something with Argentina. Both him and Ronaldo are one of the best players in the history, but apparently not cause they can't win anything with their national teams.
+1
No SA... He won't...doesn't matter what you or any of us Barca fans say...he might go in history as one of the bests for us. For others he won't and it's precisely because of the Argentina argument unfortunately. And nobody ever says Ronaldo is greatest in history. Maybe one of the greatest of his time but never history
I'm not sure what world you live in. Almost every legend says Messi is the best or one of the best the least.
+1
You guys are wrong though. Just because kids like to argue that doesn't mean that facts are different.

Simply put, how would you describe Puskás?
He has not won a WC or EC.

Is he not one of the best in history?

Team titles mean nothing when considering a single player. Pele is supposedly the greatest because he scored 1000 career goals, not because he happened to be in a team that won a tournament.
@andres

Independent of whether he wins or not with Argentina, Messi can very well be considered the greatest player of all time even if he doesn't play a single minute for Argentina for the rest of his career. and thats coming from a Madridista
+1
@andres

and yes, many people, even cules consider Ronaldo to be one of the greatest footballers of all time.
Thank you DaGaza. I'm not sure how people can judge two of the best players ever based on a couple of games played every few years. If anything, their consistency puts them head and shoulders above everyone elae
+1
This is an arguement I would not like to start because I'm on the side that says messi is one of the greatest. But people have a right to say that messi needs an international trophy. Who is to say Maradona is better because he did more for Argentina or messi because he did morefor the club point is people (and not kids people who grew up watching Maradona play) will always doubt messi it's very subjective topic and we cant be deluded to think otherwise
+1
Not sure what was the idea behind the switch between aguero and higuain. Like for like striker with the replacement much slower. He brings in Banega for Pastore. So he basically removes the only creative player in the midfield and puts in a cm player ahead of two proper holding cms. Plus Banega isn't even as good as the players he's surrounded by. Tata played negative tactics and with some bad luck (adm injury) lost the game. At least argentina created solid chances vs Germany. This time they were just defending. Ridiculous tactics with a group of world class players.
+5
Tata is an idiot coach. He has no place coaching a good side. Thank god we got rid of him
+5
I wonder if Tata even gives his players any tactical instructions before the match. He's so s**t. And why the hell does he play Higuain instead of Tevez and subs out Pastore instead of Biglia if his whole god damn "tactics" are based on individual skill.
+1
When I saw Di Maria go down, in my heart, it just felt like it was over. Messi + Di Maria wouldve been so difficult to handle as the game lagged on, but when he went down, Chile could just focus on Messi...
yeah, but Argentina have way more quality on and off the bench.

you have to want it :)
chile just wanted it way more.
Tevez wouldve wanted it...
+1
Tevez is a fighter. He's not as good as he used to be but he's still very competitive. The problem was two holding cms. You go with a double pivot you lose flexibility in formation.
+1
exactly.

Even Pereyra would have put in a better performance than some of the "world class" players out there.
Pereyra was awful whenever he came on for Argentina, not sure what you are going on about Spigy.
It was easy,banega for di Maria,peryera for pastor and tevez for kun,anyway Tata is worst.

By the way,tevez is in his best form of life..
+1
Chille deserves it,I hope tata leaves,along with higuin,lavezzi n kun,what a three chokers of football,I hope we bet with dybala n all.feels for messi though..
+1
keep aguero the rest should leave
how is Kun a choker? lol
By that "logic" Messi is a choker as well cause he didnt do much this game too

Higuain is pure s**t tho, and you clearly know nothing about Lavezzi (except when PSG plays against Barca) it seems
+1
Kun is a chocker because he is played all important games yet he couldn't play a good single game better,I have been watching lavezzi since napoli,I know how good he is,by the way,I dont like to talk with a guy who happened to be Argentina Fan because of messi,so peace..
+1
@4ever
Already told you Riquelme made me start following Argentina.
But like I said 2 pages back, you're a c**t so don't address me again.
And you clearly don't know s**t about Lavezzi to call him a choker
+2
You still addressing me,lol.you know what is the meaning choker,it's not about how good they're,it's about how they losing it when it matters or how pressure got them, lol.

Call me what u like,I don't buy ur requelmi Fan argument,your dp just shows what's ur focussing about.anyway it's pointless to argue with person who doesn't have any points to speak with Rather than personal calling.you must be 15 years old..
My Riquelme statement is true but I don't deny being a Messi fan/fanboy. If you act like a c**t I'll call you a c**t, plain and simple. Anyways this is my last time addressing you, ever.
+1
Ha ha,that's good,talking kids is not fun.ok,lol.

Between I don't mind u talking with me,but only when you learn some football..
Higuain again....... Why wasnt Tevez in the game? Uhhhhhhh so many questions. But congrats to Chile. Messi just cant catch a break
+2
Bravo for Ballon D'or. He's win 4 major trophies this year. :)
+1
Lol Higuain.

Chile were the better team tonight. Tata plays Biglia and Mascherano. No creativity in the midfield. No possession. No width. Just lobbed long balls. Chile played like a team, Argentina played like individuals.
