at the end of it all ....i think it,s time to get a coach with some proper adaptation skills , like he has no plan B :/
+1
Has it ever occurred to you that we have been saying that for the past 3 seasons? That could only mean one thing...we have no one in our squad to make a plan B with.
That's reason enough.. so what kinds of players would you suggest eligible to lead a plan B project?
I hope you are happy at the fact that we lost. I am talking about those so called fans who wanted the club to lose.
Madrid deserved the victory! Barca going thru a lot of on and off field problems.
Congratulating Madrid for playing a fair(ish) game for the first time in 3 years.

Like we've been used to for the past two seasons, 20 first minutes are to improve (and if you say that is Tata's fault it's not true - it started since Vilanova took command of the team), lack of motivation from Xavi and Co., the ref making mistakes on very punctual moments of the game like the offside of di Maria, the no offside of Ney, the penalty early on 2nd half from Carvajal, besides he refused to shake Xavi's hand initially, anyway it gets old talking about the ref when it comes to Madrid, just the usual refereeing tonight. Let's jump to what happened in the game.

There were some moments of the game when the team played very well, too bad they came on the second half when we needed Pedrito ASAP. All teams know that against Barcelona the best way to start is to start with all of the energy possible, which BTW Barça have lost quite a bit ago.

1) Pinto, too unfortunate for us he is what can be called "an improvised goalie". Yes, he won a Zamora trophy 8 years ago, but he does not give any confidence to anybody (except for some with too much faith like a Belgian friend on this forum) when he plays.

2) Alves, this guy can only do so much when the ball comes to him for most of the game and most of the season, he is pretty much the only player on the right except when Pedro or Alexis come in the field.

3) Bartra, I respect you a lot buddy, golden years will come to you.

4)Mascherano, what a game by el Jefecito, he does great even when he deserves the midfield.

5) Alba, too bad he got injured running behind the ball during RM first goal, he pulled his right thigh, other than that good game.

It's frustrating to see the defense playing so far away from the midfield, is it tactics?, is it the lack of concentration?, is it Tata? Is it the lack od competition for the position in the field?

6) Busquets, what a great guy, no need to mention the awesome skill he's got, although along with Xavi and Messi, the most static players (not saying goalie) in the field, he dropped in a CD position quite often, but it is to worry the way our CM plays, completely disconnected of the game. During one play he was obstructing Xavi to take a quick free kick cuz he was furl to stay on the way. I've never seen such a determine player to impede the course of the ball when it comes to attacking, wish he would do the same when defending.

7) Such a mixed feeling I have about Xavi, as a fan I want to excuse him for being such a great player for all of these years, but as a Barça (Football) fan that I am before anything else, I've got to say that he needs either a half a season to rest or a new woman or a new team, he has ran out of ideas it seems.

8) Iniesta, he played a good game IMHO but, what can he do when most of his teammates take almost a half hr to start playing a game seriously?

9) Fabregas, hoepfully he will stay by the time Xavi decides it's a good time to let the next generation lift off. I don't like him as a false #9, but he's been wasted not playing on midfield to the point mostly everyone thinks he is useless.

10) Messi, unbelievable he is not motivated, what can be more motivation than winning against RM?, a World Cup? but it's so far away. In my opinion he looked too distant, in his own mind from the beginning when he appeared on TV, when you saw him in the tunnel of Mestalla he looked apart, almost like he was into something else than FUT. It's not normal knowing how many times we've seen him getting over adversities one time after another. IMHO he is missing the family member of his that has to stay in Argentina for unknown motives.

11) Neymar, too much into making the rival defense slip for a card, when would he learn to take a foul like a man?, refs are never going to favor you when you tend to dive, specially against RealMadrid. Besides being so delicate he did a pretty descent job.

12) Adriano, He did what he could, if the midfield is disposed to play towards the right flank, oh well.

13) Pedrito, he should have started in detriment of Cesc, Rodriguez contributes with so many things, when he got in the field the team changed, he is like an analgesic when the team his hurting the most, but we can change the past though.

Ambition is what the team has missed tonight, seeing Messi not pressuring the opposition being the first man on defense (last man on attack) is just unacceptable, if he is not fit mentally or physically I'd like to know. It seems like he is only fit for 40min.

Tonight the midfield was lost excepting Iniesta, still my biggest question, why doesn't Xavi try to look for a good efficient pass? Instead he is looking for the obvious pass to the side or backwards, i'd say he does it to appear in the statistics, where did the creativity go? Note: statistics might be an important thing for numbers, but anything can change by being different.

One reason to thank Zubi and the board for being so thoughtful on the planning of the team, thanks for devaluing the best players of all times to secondary. Obviously if a team has on the field 9 midfielers, the tendency is going to pass the ball on midfield the whole time, really, if you think about all of the midfielders Barça had tonight from the beginning count, despite Pinto and Bartra who isn't a pure midfielder of the starting XI? Even Alba and Alves have a more attacking mindset than Xavi, Busquets and Cesc if you compare midfielders. Our only pure forwards in the team are Pedro and Alexis who started on the bench, excepting Messi who can score from any position as long as he is motivated everyone is a midfielder, what is our LCD (Mascherano)?, it's a midfielder.

Hope this is a lesson to learn by the "SOCIOS", even if you've gained money from winning it all with Laporta, more money is not more important than reputation. If you have a competitive team, you have to keep it competitive by signing new good players and give them the opportunity, there're only 12 competitive players and the rest are to accompany them and that's all Barça's got. Changes (like Bowie said) are the only thing this life demands, when you don't change you become comfortable, then too comfortable, then you stop caring because of how easy things are.

We need a new board that know what Football is, with people that have played FUT, not members that can't really count if a secretary doesn't do it for them. The game is played on the field, what happens business wise is different.

Cheers and, visca el Barça!
Come on man, referee? You're pointing out all these decisions yet most reasonable Barcelona fans will tell you the ref was good. He told almost every player to get up and play, from Iniesta to Di Maria. He wasn't taking any of the crap, I thought this ref was actually good.

PS, Di Maria was onside.

Do you guys believe the rumors that Messi is saving himself for the World Cup or it's all bs? Cause it seems he isn't playing 100%
id's say so, cuz whenever he starts to dribble through players with inconsiderable defending abilities they're more likely to aim at his fragile bones instead of aiming at the actual ball since they're bigger and easier to catch, if you watch him alot you'll notice that right away.

And of course he won't risk getting another long term injury especially that the world cup trophy is probably the only obstacle laying on his way to theoretically being named the best player to have ever touched the ball.

So i personally don't think that's a rumor, i know it's a fact.
Good thing is that we don't need to defend any of ref . decision because we actually lost it .this loss is actually isn't hurting ,may be because i was expected a thrashing .

I still don't understand why tatakeeping Cesc n alves in team line up even they aren't justifying anything .to me those are the decision will decide tata future ,i love him but i cant see him staying further .

This could be the final wake up call for our board ,i do really hope they will act accordingly .by the way pinto taught many fans how good valdes is .

I feel bad for Bartra. I really like the kid and hope he gets more minutes in the first team.

He took a chance that was given him but I dont think anyone could have caught Bale even after the shove(which was the right thing to do from a defensive standpoint).

I hope todays result wont haunt him
+3
Any crap people give Bartra he doesnt deserve. He may have been through 2 big losses over the past week, but he is the LAST player who deserves to be criticized. Alves on the other hand...

Anyways, despite the losses, I feel the way Bartra has earned the right to start for us. He plays with a passion our "superstars" no longer seem to have, and has been our best defender almost every time he plays. the only other players on the team that show this anymore are Alba, Alexis and Pedro.
@Weegeez... Totally agreed, no need to criticize Bartra, the only defender with B*lls we've got. Besides the fact that Masche is our best CM.
I don't know about others, but I am proud of him. He got far less minutes than what he deserved this season, but every time he has played, he has given his absolute best. He stepped up in the game against atletico and did great today as well despite being given the medical green light only in the last minute. He has a bright future ahead of him and I am sure he will cement his place here for the next decade

i ask this question respectfully.. how do you guys feel about the neymar messi relationship?
Needs some work still obviously, but it's there and gonna happen
+3
Thats the future .atpresent it sucks little though ..
i mean.. I've always been a neymar fan. and I'm definitely aware of the damage messi can do at any given moment. i mean i dunno.. its subject to change sure.. but i can't help but wonder if messi is really happy with neymar at the moment. i can't recall ever seeing messi in this state.

example: whens the last time you've seen messi go on one of his one-two pass and runs up the middle only to score a goal? at least start it ya know...
Not yet what we've expected. But it's been difficult for them to form a deadly duo: First Neymar was still adjusting to the team, then Messi got injured, and when Messi got fit again, Neymar got injured. And when Neymar recovered from his injury and he and Messi finally had the chance to really start doing something awesome together, Neymar had completely lost his form and to be honest the whole team has been pretty bad since the start of 2014. So it's really difficult to judge their "relationship", especially now that Alves seems to be our main playmaker now :(
THey really don't seem to have one of yet, maybe some day, but if Messi continues to walk around the pitch and Neymar continues to miss golden opportunities, it won't be going anywhere
I think in matches like these we need all our most hard working players ie pedro and sanchez, Dont understand why start Neymar and Cesc even Messi. Messi didnt even put pressure on defenders like he used to. I really feel something is not right with him. Between dont we have a 3rd goalie in out team? and what about cuenca? seems to me our team is really lean.
Just heard on commentary that this week has been the worst week in BARCA history for more than 50 years. It is easy to critise at such moments. The drawbacks are glaring but there were also brilliant moments. Many were expecting a slump sooner or later. It is here!

But hey, we are in the Top three in la liga, quater-finals of CL, finals of Copa de Rey and won the Super Copa.

The more important question for me is: "Is this season a failure?"

For me it is not yet a failure.
It would be a failure if BARCA don't learn from this year and if they don't take a step forward both on and off the field.
BARCA forever! :)

Not gloating but i think mathematically a week with a 100% defeat record is the worst record you can get, which means that this is the worst week for FC Barcelona in 114 years(since its foundation) ruling that they did officially get eliminated from 2 competitions, and potentially a third as well, again I'm not trying to offend you in any way nor am i starting a fight.. just providing some facts, hard luck.
