Press Association - 3 years ago

Colin Calderwood has been confirmed as the new manager of Hibernian.

The 45-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Edinburgh club after leaving his position as Chris Hughton's assistant at Newcastle.

The former Scotland defender, who played for Tottenham, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, has previously managed Northampton and Forest.

Calderwood replaces John Hughes, who parted company with Hibs earlier this month.
