so what's going on with Porto, the gradual decline has been shocking :/
I have to say, although I have huge respect for Casillas, his first season in Porto has been very underwhelming.

As per transfer news. All I've heard is we have the Colombian #10 Juan Quintero back from Rennes. From what I recall he was a great dribbler.
So i haven't written anything here in a long time because there is nothing to write about the team is on a exponential decline. and the coach is clearly the problem his way of playing football is extremely boring and creates 0 chances on goal. in the past 3 game porto had a total of 15 shots 5 of which were on target and the player with the most amount of passes made was both center backs.
Can someone on this earth explain to me how the f**k you are supposed to score if you don't f*****g shoot the ball. and how can we win any game if the center back is the player on the field with the most amount of time with the ball.
The mid-feild is lost most of the time no one creates anything. the team just goes out there and hopes the the opponent is just much worst then us and that just might be the way to win the game. i really can't stand this any more i hate not being able to keep a good coach and i especially hate that everyone sees that we are playing horrendously but no one does anything to fix the f*****g problem.
f**k OFF LOPE

Im sorry for cursing and im sorry for the ran but i just can't watch the team i love be destroyed by an idiot that thinks he's all that and a bag of chips, even though he was in first place on January 1st 2016 and is now in third (SIX DAYS LATER).
nothing this year..
Nope only heart break.
=D
I was a bit scared after a very soft goal suffered in the CL by Iker and the only thing i was hoping for was a good game by him vs benfica. However, Iker decided he was going to show why he's still the number 1 Spanish national team GK. The two saves he did in the first half totally pushed fc porto toward the 1-0 victory over our greatest rivals. after casillas' push porto back into the game it was time for porto's two best players to show y the fans love them, Abou and Andre were phenomenal. They attacked everything and totally left their hearts in the center of the pitch, and that is exactly what we want from our players.

Even though this is all really nice, porto were struggling in the first half especially with set pieces (thats where Iker showed up), this was also due to benfica who played with a really high defensive line and squeezed their midfield and attack. still we need to focus on set pieces and try to overcome high defensive lines for future games. all in all the result was great and hopefully this give us a boost in confidence.
Just about to say something of the sort although I am extremely happy we won vs benfica Iker saves almost make me happier. also as a fan of barca the way he was let go of his team was shameful and I really hope he proves fiorentino wrong. I have to say Aboubakar has low expectations from me but he is turning out to be a great signing such a threat in the area and very good at holding the ball.
I can't agree with you more brother, i mean Spanish news does seem to dramatize everything to a whole new level lol (i love watching el chiringito crazy ass fans lol great show) so I'm not sure if it was florentino or if it was casillas that wanted out. Still casillas was on fire this game the way he celebrated the goal was crazy.

couldn't fine this vid of casillas on youtube so i hope it works but its crazy haven't seen him like this in a really long time, not even when he won the CL last year

But yes Abou was a lost cause in my book and now he's one of our best players i just hope he keeps this up for ever now lol.
good result!
i have to be honest, we should have won. not because keiv was bad (they weren't they were great) but the problem is that casillas should have went for that last ball that gave keiv the 2-2 final result. it is what it is and hopefully this wont affect us in the future of the champions league. we did play well up front and abu has really been in form which is great since we sold jackson. hopefully porto has a better game this weekend and we are able to win benfica.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/babb/11846260/FC-Porto-ask-Champions-League-teams-to-donate-to-migrant-crisis.html

Nice gesture
Yeah i agree its a great gesture but it became a great action when every single club in the champions league and in the europa league said yes to the donation. I'm proud of our european teams.
so the CL draw was just released and it isn't the best thing ever but its not the hardest thing ever lol. i think if porto don't under estimate their opponents we will pass with out a problem. if we go into the game like its already won then we will lose.

this weekend we also have an incredibly hard game to play, even though the game is at home it is still goin to be hard. we can't lose any more points because we are playing like s**t. imo lope needs to put brahimi in the number 10 position, herrera is a great player but he just makes the game so dam slow and if we want to win then we need to speed up our passes and make so great through balls and brahimi is by far the best for those type of passes.
Dynamo kyiv is the more threatening out of the two other teams. all you have to worry about is the away leg for that one. As per Chelsea they are expected to go through but Im sure you can fight with them specially at the Dragão.

The positive is that Both Sporting AND Benfica dropped points. but with a table so competitive I dont expect them to drop any more and neither should porto.

Brahimi is greatat the wings though I think its his second season so people started to figure out his style of play from last season but Im sure he's in his best position. what other #10 is available? Herrera is not performing as well as porto would like to. How satisfied are you with Iker so far?
yeah the number 10 position is by far our biggest issue, there is no one there to link the attack with the midfield and to make the team play faster.

herrera is a good player but he just slows down the game, he takes his time with everything and sometimes we need to have some fast pace futebol. Iker has been solid, i mean he hasn't really been tested and when he got scored on it wasn't his fault so i can't say he's great but he's definitely not bad. imo he's getting a lot better with his feet, helton and lope have been helping him with that and it shows.

and yeah kyiv is good they lost there first points in the league this weekend so they are definitely not a team to be cocky against. chelsea has a few more hours to sign a few players they need and i think they will sign those players and return to form.
+1
so the first game of the season was played this past weekend and all i can say is that it seemed like a roller coster ride; really good at the beginning, okay at the middle, and again really good at the end. herrera is a great player but only when he plays with a mexico shirt, because in yesterdays game he was lost. barely touched the ball missed a spectacular opportunity, not good not good at all. highlights were Maxi, Varela and of course Abu. Abu was on fire, hope he is able to keep up this great form and he can keep scoring.
+1
so its been a few months since my last post here and i feel like with all the confirmations and rumors flying about the futebol sphere its time to post once more.
first, i have to talk about the casillas rumor, cause no one can stop talking about it, at least not in portugal they can't, lol. he's a great GK imo, even though he has f****d up a few times in the past 3 or so years in goal. however, he was a very problematic player in the RM locker room and that is something porto doesn't have time for or the money for. he's either with us or not. now that we are on the "salary" topic, i can say that i can't see porto giving casillas more then 3 or 4 mil a year if RM are able to fill in the rest then i would like to see what Iker has to give porto. if not it was great to see the world press talking about my small club from the north of portugal.
next ill talk about the players that left my FC Porto. danilo was an absolute beast and i wish him the best. jackson is also great player and will surely be a lot better then the ST's that atletico had this season. oliver and casimiro were great players but everyone know how loans work and they had to go back. its sad that most of the players leaving are from our starting 11 but we have rebuilt before and we will do it again.
the confirmed players, which contains a large amount of midfielders seems to be, imo, the right decision from porto. in addition most of the new players are portuguese which is great because last season the players didn't seem to know what FC Porto actually is, so they just play for the hell of it and not for the love of the jersey or badge and thats not how fc porto can afford to play. we can't give players mega contracts so the only way players will leave everything on the field is if they are home grown or they know what we expect of them. by having a large amount of portuguese players in the squad they can advise others what to do and what not to do. i have to single out Imbula because imo he seems to be a great number 8. being able to win his signature from a rich club like inter is absolutely spectacular. however he is the most expensive player to ever play in the portuguese league so i hope he shows us everything he's got right from the start.
finally the rumored players coming to porto. one of the bigger names is drogba, even on a free i think that porto should not get him. he's a legend but we need to make a profit and i don't see us selling him to anyone in the future (same with casillas). maxi perreira is a very dirty player but i think we do need some experience in the back four so i would like to see how he plays for us and its for a position we really need, RB. Mitrovic is another great player rumored to play for porto and i do believe he has a great future however paying 15 mil plus 2 players is out of this world he's a 20 year old who had one great season. andy carroll was in a similar boat and everyone know what happened to him. Lucas lima seems like he's not coming however i still think he's a great player sad to see him become the next bernard (shaktar d.) but it is what it is and porto can't get every player they want. rodiger is another player linked to porto and i saw him play vs the USA and he was not good so im not sure what to say about him.
all i can say is that i trust my club and i hope for the best.
we can't lose the league to another club this season and for that we need to out play ever other team right from the start.
