congrats boys on winning the league this season. SOMOS PORTO
so everyone knows that monaco is the new big bucks team and it does kinda sucks but moutinho has been linked to a move to monaco, it hasnt been confirmed, it has been repeated in the news several times these past few months. so it may be happening at one point or another. and this article states that porto were offered 40 million for joao moutinho, which to me is a ridiculously perfect amount for what i think he is worth. so i do think porto will sell for this amount and hopefully bring in a quality player that and fill up his position really fast.

http://abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=402043

and in other news our x-player, Pedro Emanuel is now off to coaching APOEL from Cyprus, congrats to him. and also leonardo Jardim, rui vitoria, and marcos silva are linked to a move to sporting, in case that jesualdo is drop from command. so this means porto has not spoken to jardim or marcos about replacing victor perreira in the porto head coach position. so we are down to only poulo fonseca and domingos paciencia. which one of the two do you guys prefer?
Yeah they should sell Moutinho, because they have lot of portuguese players in the squad! I dunno which fanbase you are, but in my opinion Moutinho shouldnt leave, he the best player after CR in National team, sometimes even better. And instead of selling portuguese stars, they should bring more and sell foreign players, they can keep Kelvin though cz he obviously has potentials.
Am not a fan of Porto selling their good players every season, think Chemistry.
WE WANT MOUTINHO! :(
@stealthnet moutinho has given all he has for porto and yes i do think he is the best player in the porto squad but porto can not live with these players and no lack of money. as a porto fan u should know that we are terribly in debt, like 230 something million (because of the stadium) and champions league money does not help with that debt, we had to eliminate out basketball team because of the lack of money. so now i ask u to think of the bigger picture and not only in the porto football team.
yes i want moutinho to stay, i've said it before : we should of never bought danilo and just should of lifted the wages of both hulk and moutinho. and just kept miguel lopes, who provided great crosses to jackson at the beginning of the season. so dont think i want to get rid of noutinho, on the contrary i want him to stay but we are not capable to keep him.

@paddyspurs4life to be honest with u i think tottenham need more of a great mid-fielder then a striker, i feel like tottenham lose the capability to be creative one the ball gets to the top three men, i think belhanda from montpelier, and isco are great attacking mid-fielders who can create something from nothing AVB should look into them.
LucoAmerican (And whoever else is alive on this forum):

You've seen Atsu play many games. We've been linked with him and I'm wondering if you can give me some insight into his pros/cons and potential price and whether he'd want to leave?
I'm sure Luso will add to this...Atsu is quick very quick, like Lennon, but he is still young, and I doubt Porto will be letting him go this season as he hasn't had enough exposure. He seems to be happy at Porto for the moment.

Porto doesn't sell cheap not even to Villas Boas :p
lol you know me so well, phorce lol.

i dont really have much more to add to what phorce said. atsu is extremely fast, by far porto's fastest player. he is really young and still has a lot to learn, especially on his defensive duties. he also needs to learn his timings, like when to dribble, cross or even shot at goal. he does have a bright future, but i dont think he is ready for the BPL yet, he needs some, one on one time with the coach to fix what he needs to improve in. i dont know if his contract is over now or next summer but i do believe he will renew and i would strongly recommend him to,

with this i dont want to say that tottenham arent capable to improve his flaws but i think that the BPL is much more difficult for a player to adapt to then the portuguese league (where he was basically brought up with, since he is from our academy). hope that this was helpful
thanks :)

Also would you think he'd fit better into a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 system, or in a 4-4-2 as a out and out winger?

the 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 is probably the best fit for atsu so he can run down the wing and beat players.

Very thorough article. Something we have discussed previously. Porto has a great financial system buying cheap and selling at the right time. Sometimes a little earlier than we would sometimes like. This system is always risky though, considering our rivals are hot on our heels.

Both Porto and Benfica have been doing this effectively, the scouts in South America have provided a lot of income for both clubs.
this is one of the reason I became a fan of porto they sell and bring great players though the youth system it just really how clubs should be run SLB are quite the same

the system is risky very but it works I feel if the portuguese league was a bit more competitive it may not come off like it has but still it an amazing system which I love

and by the way porto youth system is so underrated I think it is as good as ajaxs youth system
thats a great article, i was aware of most of the players that porto sold and bought but not all. i also realized that we did it well but like phorce said it gets a little difficult to, keep the consistency of the team and to keep players in general. for example, the players start to think things like: "if he did it so can i". which has happened, with guarin and a few other players, who saw falcao leave and wanted to follow his foot steps out of porto. it gets difficult but porto seems to find an equal or even better replacement for the loss.

i still think porto has a lot to learn and i hope that they continue in this path, but also start to buy players from portugal and/or make our own home grown players, like germany and spain are doin.

@thirteengoals thanks so much for the post and keep coming back here when ever you want cause it's usually only phorce and i commenting lol. so feel free to post when ever u want. and since ur a porto fan ur goin to have to watch this up coming weekend game its the last of the season and if we win we are portuguese champions.

so lets do this and somos porto.
well I would watch it but hard to find it it is not on English TV I can see all the big leagues on espn or sky but no portguese league :( and sure I will come by an comment

and you guys should check out thinkfootball it a good site with bunch of good writers
so i messaged you on footytube cause i didnt want to post it here so hopefully you saw it. if you dont want to use that their is this blog that puts up the games after a few days or hours as repeats so if you want u can see the game after it happens.

and yeah here in the US they arent big fans of football so all i get is either, BPL (fox soccer), some champions league (espn) just the english teams in europa league (fox soccer), mexican league (spanish channel), and very few (only the top teams) games from spanish, german and french football (spanish channel). and most of the times im workin so i cant even watch the games lol. but i am able to follow the premier league really closely cause almost all the games play here but besides that i cant watch the best sport in the world lol
GRANDE PORTO!!! GRANDE LIEDSON!!! GRANDE KELVIN!!!!
Wow what a game! My heart was in my mouth.
Jorge Jesus reaction should be in a MasterCard advert...'priceless'
yeah i was workin and didnt have the time to watch the entire game. i was told that porto dominated most of the game, in ball position and porto was the only team on the field that wanted to win. the times i did look at the computer scream i saw artur waste time and i saw a benfica substitute guitan (attacking winger) for rodric (central defender). so i do believe that porto were tryin to win it while benfica were okay with the 1-1 result. i did suck that it was in the dying minutes and that killed a lot of fans but its a victory none the less.

we still didnt win anything, we need to win pacos which is the third best team in portugal. so next weekend we need to finish off the game as fast as possible so we can lift that trophy.

this season was by far the craziest season (we dont even know which are the teams dropping division, thats amazing, all the teams were great this season). porto played really bad in some games like vs olhanence, sporting, and maritimo, which porto should have won and they lost points to because of being stupid. i realize that this is due to the coach and his style of coaching so i still do hope that he leaves. so i hope porto wins next week and i hope we change a lot of things for next season.

and i didnt like that the players and the fans were celebrating like they had won something already. its a pet-peeve of mine, i hope it doesnt turn and bight us in the butt next week (like us losing points).
I think it was the elation of winning that they celebrated. More the win than the league trophy. I went crazy too, because its kept us in the driving seat, when it was looking like it was all over.

We have to show up for the last game like we did against benfica, and play like its a final.

VAMOS PORTO!

Oh and Liedson...worth every penny just for that assist
oh my god, im freaking out about tomorrows game, i really do hope that porto wins but im super scared. i dont want benfica to win especially cause they will be champions at our house. so i hope that doesnt happen, but cant wait till tomorrow.
tensions are rising and fans are getting crazy (from both sides). here are some thinks that show what i mean.

so its confirmed that david moyes is the new head coach of Man u. i know this isnt really something we should be worrying about, but their has been many articles linking with vitor perreira with Everton so does this mean that these rumors are actually true?
oh my god benfica just tied vs estoril, and now we are two points away. this means that we are still able to win the league. im not sure what to expect of benfica for this up coming weekend but i really hope we win them. lets go porto
Yes! Estoril were awesome! Even looked to score a second before benfica even got the equaliser. I'm liking the look of Marco Silva too, good attacking mentality. definitely a possibility for the future Porto role.

It all comes down to this game!
VAMOS PORTO!!
so here are videos on benfica bein helped through out the season. i always knew that they were helped but i never realized how much they were. like i posted on youtube what pisses me off the most is that the benfica fans really believe they are the victims and that they are never helped and it kills me that some fans are so blind and really believe in that.

so today all three portuguese soccer news papers had news involving porto and juan quintero. a few months ago i followed the sub-20 cup and quintero was my favorite player and i consider him the best up and coming midfielder in the world. so i do hope this is true and i hope to see him in blue and white next season

http://abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=398917
Looking forward to the pre season transfers I'm liking the look of these youngsters. And maybe see the exit of Victor Pereira.
so who would ur choice be for fc porto coach next season? and i think we need to get jesus out of benfica cause they are becoming to regular in results with him.

and he's a quintero video, this kid is a beast
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFUFkCJYe6A&feature=player_embedded#!
looks like Pereira could be moving to England...

http://metro.co.uk/2013/05/08/everton-line-up-portos-vitor-pereira-with-david-moyes-move-to-manchester-united-growing-ever-closer-3733826/

I'm thinking a young manager who's proven themselves such as Paulo Fonseca or Marco Silva
lol didnt see this post of yours lol before writing the post above but yeah i do hope that vitor heads to everton, i like paulo fonseca but i think the porto players need a hard ass coach like a guy who yells and screams like leonardo jardim, im my opinion. but what i really miss from porto is the fact that they need to play better football and not the slow and terrible things the players seem to be doing the past 2 years.
