the news in portugal is Costinha the guy who scored the offsides goal in 2004 vs man united and led porto to the winning of the champions league that year. he was the coach last season of baira mar who went to second division, yes he got the team in bad condition but still he went they dropped, so i dont agree with the choice.

I do not know much about him but I trust in porto decision making

Costinha is confirmed Pacos de Ferreira coach with former Portuguese international Maniche as his assistant.

@Phorce16 i dont agree with that choice, i dont think Costinha is capable of doin a good job at pacos. baira mar went to second division with Costinha as the coach so i hope im wrong though.

Ahh you need to relax Luso. He's not the first player to leave Porto for the money. And to be fair to him he did a lot for Porto over the past few years. I still rate him highly, but if he doesn't want to stay, then let him leave.

i just flipped a cap because i saw this coming since the beginning of the season and when i said i wanted him out everyone said i wasnt a true porto fan, and now look at this guy.

lol i didnt mean to be disrespectful to monaco as long as they pay i have no problems selling to them lol. and ive been sayin he should leave since last summer, when all news papers said he wanted to go. and now the only difference is that he said it himself. so basically i didnt want him at porto last season, then i got told that i wasnt a true porto fan cause i wanted him and other players to leave, and now look at what fernando does to us. so yeah i really want him out now

yeah totally agree, i was a little disappointed with the way he forced to leave porto to go to blackburn, however, hes still a great player and i will miss him.

Yeah I definitely think his a good choice especially since he showed at Pacos that he can be a coach that knows he to handle a team in more then one compeation since pacos came in 3rd and when to the semis of the Portugal cup

yeah and we have been kicked out of the portugal cup very early on in the season. so hopefully we can return to Jamor this up coming season.

i think braga played a great move cause if everything happens to work out like this season porto and benfica will fight for first and second while braga and sporting will fight for third and fourth. and jesualdo knows sporting really well, so he and braga may have the up hand over sporting, really intelligent braga.

i think victor perreira will be the coach even though i dont want him to, but we cant all have what we want. getting josue and lica is something i really wanted, so that made me happy. i also red that ghilas may be on his way as well, i think that he would be a great signing for the bench striker position.

@cloudst he ist a terrible coach, its just that he isnt a coach for a team like porto. yes we won the league with him twice, but both of those times we had to wait for benfica to f*ck up so that we can take the first place from them, (so basically if benfica had held their own we would not be champions right now). we also keep losing points in really stupid moments of the season vs really terrible teams, which makes no sense. i think he doesnt have the capacity to control such good players like porto has, (like he lets the players control him, i dont like that, he should be the boss not the players).

and the way he puts his team playing is not what i want porto to play like, he has one starting 11 and thats all he plays with all the other players are just left on the bench, which i dont agree cause porto pays salaries to all these players, so they should get some game time. and also with just a starting 11 we end up depending on one player with everything (moutinho) and when hes gone we have other player that can take up that position.

but besides that hes a good coach, if he would have gone to everton he would of done a good job he would probably get top 10 with everton, if not top 6. he is a coach for a team that has only one objective in mind which is the league, while porto wants to win more the 2 trophies per season.

i want the pacos ferreira coach he only lost 2 games at home one vs benfica and the other vs porto. so his home record is really good and he was able to put pacos for the first time ever in a champions league position, and for a super small team to even be in that play off's is amazing. so if he was able to do that to pacos, then i think he would do great as porto head coach.
i would enjoy as well to see jorge jesus as the head coach. i think he is a great coach, the only thing is that he hasnt done anything super amazing (as in winning more then one important trophy). but i think he would be able to turn that around in porto. and he is also the benfica coach so that make it a little more difficult to get him lol

Pacos coach or Domingos for me

totally agree megardragao, i had forgotten about domingos.

so i watched the game it was and epic game. the last 10 minutes were amazing and no one thought that a 10 men team would win over a 2 goal lead but it was great. it kinda sucks that reyes had to be the one subbed for the red card but i still think he is great buy and hope to see him grow a lot.
