After Odai Al Saify left Cyprus to go back and play in Kuwait and Thaer Bawab (who plays in Romania) not being in the Asian Cup Squad, falling out of Ray Wilkins favour for whatever reason, all of our players either play locally in Jordan, or play in the Arabian Gulf.

That's disappointing... I really wish for the day that not just Jordanians, but Middle Eastern Arab players move beyond their own region. North African Arab players have made huge strides, as more and more Algerians, Moroccans, Tunisians and even Egyptian players find themselves at European teams. It's not just a matter of proximity of North African nations being close to Europe, those North African players are really good, and we've seen more than enough proof to know that over the years. An Arab is an Arab for me, so I still get extremely happy when a North African Arab player goes to Europe and succeeds, and we see more and more of them. It's still a huge sign of progress for Arab soccer, North African or not.

It just bothers me that Middle Eastern Arab players just don't seem to expand past the middle east, whether its because they settle for the Gulf money or that they just don't have what it takes physically and mentally to go all the way and aim for Europe or at least decent leagues outside of the Middle East. It may just be a combination of both.
With the Asian Cup just around the corner, it gives me nostalgic memories of the awesome 2011 campaign, hope for a repeat.

We have qualified for Asian cup 2015 :D
What a match.. i know we were already eliminated.. but the way we played like absolute warriors out there, it really showed the heart and courage of our team despite having the crowd and odds against us. That match will live long in my memory.. for sure.

URUGUAY 0-JORDAN 0.
a draw at one of the earths strongest teams.
Wow our luck.

in the U-22 Asian cup draw we got.. the Hosts Oman.. South Korea and Myanmar..

and its the first 2 teams i just mentioned that im worried about.. not the 3rd one. DAMN IT!
I did'nt see an eagerness or desire to win in the Jordanian players that is usually present during WCQ matches.. this is bad.. its as if the Asian cup means nothing to our players anymore and there minds are on the match with Uruguay.. NEWS FLASH. WE ARE GIGANTIC UNDERDOGS FOR THAT MATCH SO REMEMBER THE ASIAN CUP MAY BE THE ONLY THING WE HAVE TO PLAY FOR PRETTY SOON.

On Oman's part.. they just kind of stayed locked up and didn't really make any concrete pushes for the opening goal, as if they were too scared of being hit on the counter to really push for a goal.
Bring on Oman.
YES OH MY GOD 2 GAMES FROM BRAZIL, I KNOW THE ODDS ARE HIGHLY AGAINST US, BUT THE FACT THAT WE MADE IT THIS FAR IS JUST MAKING ME SUPER HAPPY.

ORDON! ORDON! ORDON! ORDON!

Draw in Iran against Syria, fair result for us being at a neutral venue and all and for Syria as well.
Wow this forum brings back memories.. of posting about Jordan and hardly anyone reading about it..

GLAD TO BE BACK!
