^There isn't one. Del Piero is one of a kind. A little like Zidane in a way - you can never replace him.
This is a good short read on our set piece situation and the solution

Apparently we have 2 of the best crossers but as you guys pointed out our tactics for them need work but with Llorente's capabilities we can expect a hell lot of improvement in our aerial departments next season.

A thought I had about the last two matches, because the were abnormally terrible displays from the squad, is that Conte was sending a message to management.
I know some of you have made similar comments but after announcing that Conte wants to do a major overhaul of the squad (reportedly 7-8 players, some being high-profile), my thought is that they are very much so connected.
Specifically, looking at certain players in the starting line-up against Sampdoria (De Ceglie, Isla, Padoin, Giaccherini), I think Conte was throwing a red flag saying:
"If any of our primary starters get injured, if we really want to realistically contend on three front (Serie A, CL, Coppa), if you want to run the risk that we have to put out a squad like this against a CL side or a top4 Italian side or a late round Coppa match and expect to be competitive, you are not only being unrealistic but you are setting yourself up for failure." - case in point, was Napoli actually trying to win CL games or were they trying to converse players for league matches because all they wanted to do was secure CL qualification next term.
Conte does nothing on accident and everything is well calculated. What the Sampdoria match did for him was grant him more authority over transfer decisions (especially selling players) and, in my opinion, show Agnelli and Marotta that if you want me to be your "Sir Alex", treat me like ManU treated him - more authority.
Thoughts?

As I said, it could have been just that, but maybe he really did intend to let players have some match time.
The player request comes from the fact that he wants hungry players as some may be okay with winning the league. Of course that can also mean a better B-team, so the starters will have a better chance going for CL.
We'll have to wait and see. I think most players can be sold to mid table teams, but there are a lot of bumps there. Nobody wants to leave the champion team, just see our strikers.

@Jujex
the real question would be... "Would Marotta bought someone?" Xp
back to the topic. Well i think we the current core of the player and 2nd string player like forzajuve mentioned above..we're good enough to defend the league title...but challenging in UCL is another matter

Doubt it. But with the English media creating all the "definative" transfer market news, I think Lichtsteiner, Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Vucinic, and Pogba will all be playing for an English club by next season.
Until a contract is signed and the official announcement is made, it's all a bunch of hyper-speculation.

mere rumors or just a "pop-corn" news. Like us too...when we were linked with all the players on the planet XD
btw since the season already over and less thing to discuss...one thing i would like to pointed out about our team is the set pieces
we are NOT threatening at all during the corner or indirect freekick..somebody pls remind me when the last time we actually score from set pieces.
its sometimes puzzles me when we have big guys like Chiello, Bonny, Barza, even Vuci & Matri and maybe Vidal too..but we are near less to no effective when it comes to set pieces. Take the last match vs Sampdoria for example, i lost count how many corner we got in 1st half alone but NONE of them were actually threatening to opposition

During the season we used a couple of corner tactics. Only once did it pay off, when Bonucci scored against Shakthar.
The problem is that our players don't move around the box. They wait for the ball which is a bit like lottery.

^Bonny against Shakhtar. Wow that's was like nearly a year ago lol XD
but hopefully Conte take this into consideration. We have countless of corner kick from our attack but couldn't capitalize on it..and sometimes it can be backfired too. Too many player upfront then nobody have enough time to track back and then *bam* goal..the last time it happened also against Sampdoria

@Noir - Good point. I have been wondering that all season too. The interesting thing is during our unbeaten campaign of 2011-2012 we were actually more lethal on set pieces than the current season. The difference I saw, which Spigy pointed out, is that we don't seem to run any plays. It is more of a free-for-all with Pirlo trying to pick out someone that may or may not know they are the target.
Moreover, we looked terrible DEFENDING set pieces as well. The Celtic match was a great example because they are a very skilled side from set pieces and even with strong bodies like Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci, Vidal, Asamoah, and Litchsteiner, the back post is nearly always exposed and almost any proper flick or touch on the ball had a great chance on an exposed goal.
Corners though are definitely the most troubling, especially since our crosses from the flanks rarely ever make it past the first defender because Litch and Asa are not the best service-men unlike De Ceglie who can whip a ball into the 6-yard box. Often we will get 10+ corners during league matches and maybe one of those are threatening on goal.
Something definitely needs to change.

@FORZAJUVEPIERO. Yes, u are spot on too.
I remember Bayern on previous season were so vulnerable during set pieces. Heck, they even conceded the last minute goal by Drogba from set pieces too. What they did? they bought Dante & Javi Martinez. 2 defensive & tall/big player to deal with most set pieces from opposition
the result? they conceded only 18goals in the last 34 matches and only unbeaten once in the league..no need to mentioned their UCL brilliant run.
seeing that we are probably one of the best team from Italy, something definitely need to change. I think we're okay when defending set pieces but when attacking using em..dreadful. Hopefully Llorente would be the answer for our dreadful set pieces tactics

1 draw at home and 1 defeat after we clinch the title
so much for the breaking the record point or "keeping our winning spirit", we clearly lack the motivation after winning the scudetto
damn, i'm angry

and then all the talk about signing the likes of Diamanti, Poli etc yada yada
all the average player that good enough for the league but clearly not world class
i hope the management realize this. One world class player > 2-3 average/good signing

Missed the game, was getting alerts on my phone- I got a little worried when I realized they were 2-1 up.....when they went 3-1 up, I somehow felt that there was no coming back. Saw the highlights and could not quite understand what happened, especially when we scored first.
Bit of an anticlimax to a great season. Nevertheless, summer will bring the joy back.

As ideas started popping out of my head, I guess it's time to announce that I have started working on the 12/13 video :)
For now all I can tell you is that it will be different, more movie like. Meaning it won't be as detailed as the last one. The point of last season was that we didn't loose any of our matches. So it made sense to show each score and how it all boiled down.
I have some special detail in mind for this one. If it works out, it will be better than the last one and (without any ego) will probably be one of your favorite Juve vids :P
In a week I'll be taking off 9-10 days from work. Hopefully that will move up my ETA for this one.
Wish me luck..or more importantly, inspiration! :)

whatever u decided to come out with i'm sure it'll be awesome.. so good luck and good inspiration :)
To make this day even worse Marotta has confirmed that he is in talks with Tevez's agents. His reason? You guessed it cause he is cheaper.
I swear the God if that c**t comes here I'd be done watching.

As for your point about the 433,This is why I thought we should go back to 433,Teams have figured our 352 out. They either press us in our half or sit back and clear the crosses. There aren't much penetration from wings. It keeps us tight at the back but not much going forward.
