Hey guys, you may join a league I've created if you like

League Name : Serie A
Password : Italia

Enjoy...
btw Sam..with this mobile app coming, did the mods actually managed to get something out of the owners or is this just another money grab?
So we spent around €120m for players, made about half of it back with sales. This beats anything the club has done since 2001 by miles.

The plan was to get a left back and improve offense. Which is done, but not the way it was expected with Tevez leaving.
Morata-Tevez-Mandzukic-Dybala would have been great. No Tevez meant that we needed Zaza to make up the numbers and someone like Cuadrado/Hernanes to have more going forward.

Straight business like Rugani for Ogbonna and Khedira for Pirlo is good, but Vidal also left. In the end we have Lemina who can try and replicate his importance.

It's the Cuadrado/Hernanes deal that makes it a little too much. Since they can't really play together so which one will it be? Just how much of our starting lineup has to change?
Before the summer, I thought 2-3..it's looking like 4-5 instead which is a lot.

Allegri has 2 weeks to figure it out. If you have faith, you can start praying now.
2 weeks?

I'd assume u r talking about our crunch UCL tie away to the in-form Man City

well, as Juve suggest they usually surprised us when we less expected it, so lets wait n see what Juve we'll get to see at the City of Manchester Stadium in 2 weeks time
Morata - Mandzukic - Dybala
Pogba - Hernanes - Pereyra
Sandro-Chiellini-Bonucci-Lich

this seems like our best bet right now.

then when Claudio is back we can try the 3-5-2, 4-3-1-2 etc.
Completely agree with that 4-3-3
although reviewing Lemina, he could be a dark horse in all this. His stats seem impressive.
That 4-3-3 is very attacking minded, I like it but it may be risky as well
He'll play attacking in Serie A and then get defensive when we play in the CL.
With Hernanes coming in there's no way Allegri will play the 3-5-2 again right guys? Right??
he will use him on the left wing :)
and Padoin as the regista ;)
+1
being an always optimistic guy around the block, atleast Hernanes can take set pieces, bcoz other than Dybala we've no right-footed free kick specialist on our team currently(we've seen how well Pogba took his FK against Udinese a few weeks ago lol) :p
Hernanes, Cuadrado, Mandzukic, Sandro, Lemina, Khedira, Neto, Zaza, Dybala.....it's been quite the summer!
+1
In my opinion Pirlo and Tevez were hard to replace which means Juventus won't be as good as last year. I believe they will end 2nd this season straight after Roma. Dybala is a great prospect and I would insist on fielding him with Morata who was so important last season and deserves to be a starter. I think Mandzukic is fairly overrated.

Draxler would have been a great, great addition even if he's quite injury prone
+1
I agree that Mandzukic is slightly overrated, but I won't cast him aside just yet. Morata is suited to a lineup that is based on speed, so I'm hoping that Allegri is able to fit him into the equation soon.
everyone was replaced. difference is that now the experience has to come from Allegri. ..see how that turns out.
Mandzukic doesn't deserved to be called overrated IMO though.

we have seen in these past 2 games, the midfield just couldn't "connect" with the striker..and how we supposed to get a target man like Mandzukic to work? And our flanker/crosses aren't well known for their good cross either. Lichsteiner need 20 crossing attempt to deliver one good croos..

the central midfield trio of Pogba-Sturaro-Padoin, just like our performance in the past 2 games = a plain joke. Until Pereyra(a player who can linked MF to attack) came in then we saw Dybala & Morata actually starting to troubled Roma defense

Last season we had Tevez, who, when we defend, he became the midfielder, when we attack, he's both the trequartista and a forward. Dybala nor Mandzukic are his replacement but hopefully Hernanes would fill in that spot
@Noir853 I am talking regardless the firsr two matches. I saw him an entire season at Atletico and he scored 12 goals, much worse than other strikers I saw at Atletico during the previous years..Costa, Aguero, Falcao or the young Torres. I'm not saying he is a flop, I'm saying he is overrated, I do not understand why selling Llorente and buying Mandzukic, they are quite similar and to me Llorente is slightly better than him. I would play Dybala-Morata any day, Morata can perfectly cover Mandzukic position as he is a really complete striker
12 goals yes, plus 8 in other comps..in his first year.

played just 3k minutes with a goal or assist in every 122 minutes. Meaning he adds something every other match.

He obviously thrived in Bayern's system which is what we have to replicate with all the fast players up front. He will be better then.
A year before, in a more dominating team these stats doubled at 26 goals and 10 assists. 1/91 minutes.

If he fails to score, it's Allegri's fault.
@vanderaraf u probably right. But there's no way Llorente are better than Mandzukic...if this is Athletic Bilbao's Llorente..then its a different story. If its Juve's Llorente, well as good as a person off the pitch he is, he's nowhere near the level of Mandzukic :D
I always thought Llorente is strongly underestimated and Mandzukic overrated which is why I believe this. 12 goals in La Liga are not many and this story of players getting adapted is a hoax. It may be true if a player is 20 and unexperienced, but it doesn't apply to players like Mandzukic. Tevez is a great striker and scored 20 goals or more, he didn't need to get adapted. When you play in Serie A, most of times you play against Atalanta, Torino, Empoli, etc...a great striker doesn't know how mid-table and low-table defenders are.

I believe Morata can perfectly cover Mandzu position, that player is world class. He is fast and he is as tall as Mandzukic and can score lots of goals by headers
panic buys....panic buys everywhere.

I expect Allegri fired. There is no way he can handle this many new players.
Hahaha we are a joke. What is going on? If we sell Pogba before the end of the day, I will LOSE it!!

Missed out on Draxler (although I'm not too upset, given his injury track record)....should have gone harder after Gotze- we have next to no creativity in that midfield.
we get Hernanes of all people...
there is going to be a lot sales next summer.

Vidal and Pirlo leave and we bring in Khedira, Hernanes, Lemina and even looking at Nasri??
Tevez and Llorente leave and we got Dybala, Mandzukic, Cuadrado, Zaza.

too many for my liking.
For all the playmakers that were out there, I'm OK with Hernanes. It also serves to weaken Inter, so that's an added bonus.

The addition of Lemina makes me more uneasy about losing Pogba- his performances of late show a disillusioned player who realizes that he doesn't have the quality around him to get back to the CL final or romp the league.
yeah cause they are sitting on the bench...
The true power of Juventus management. Forever middle class.
+1
Meanwhile, glancing at what Mancini has done this summer: Kondogbia, Perisic, Murillo, Miranda, Montoya, Jovetic and now Ljajic to replace Hernanes....

They are going to give us and Roma a proper run at that scudetto.
What would you guys do in this situation if you were the management? DO we need a Statement signing right now?
I know that things will be better as soon as we get our CMs back from the injury table but do we need a statement signing or not?
With the players that we have now it makes the most sense to play a 433 formation but I don't think Allegri knows how to utilize that as well as his favourite 4312.

So what would you do? would you spend big for a CAM or a CM maybe to replace Vidal?
Mind you we don't have a set piece taker either.
we don't need anyone..or maybe a new coach.

anyway, I think that the Pogba-Marchisio-Pereyra trio is enough. We have Sturaro as back up and Khedira could change things if he somehow stays fit.

Morata-Mandzukic-Dybala
Pogba-Marchisio-Pereyra
Sandro-Chiellini-Bonucci-Lich

I think this team is plenty strong, if the tactics are right. It's full of dribblers so no more long ball s**t.

Technically we could play a 4-4-2 as well with Cuadrado or use him in a real 3-5-2 especially once Asa comes back.

It really isn't about players. Allegri pulls everyone back, we get beat, then says that the team was too submissive.
Of course they are, if you tell them to be...SMH

The sad fact is that Allegri has a new team, but expects them to play the same. He goes for Padoin rather than risk something on one side. We had Pereyra, Sandro and Cuadrado on the bench. ridiculous.

ill stop now, cause i need days to calm down.
watching the match last night, for the last 5 minutes Juve actually shown what this team capable of.. With 1 less man on the pitch we narrow the gap with a goal and nearly score atleast another 2 (Pogba missed header and Bony header only to be denied by Szczesny world class save)

i think its about the mentality and tactical aspect, like Spigy said

Only when Pereyra came in we actually saw Dybala getting linked with the central midfielders(and then, scoring). And if Marotta going to actually signed someone hopefully its a CAM who are set pieces specialist too
You guys really need a creative AM to provide service for your forwards, someone like

Brahimi
Coutinho
Eriksen
Cazorla
Banega
I actually wouldn't mind Eriksen or Brahimi. There's also been talk about Witsel, but the Russians are playing hardball, and he's built more in the role of a Yaya Toure- strong, good with his feet, tall, good shot but more about possession than creativity.

Not sold on Lemina. Waiting to see him in person first before I buy in.
Good news is even after two games with no points, we are still 15th or 17th whatever way you want to look at it.

Seriously though, it's still early days but we might have shot ourselves in the foot this transfer season. Did we become too cocky and complacent with our transfer successes of the recent past? We should have managed the transition better especially when it was least forced upon us.

Never before has the Old Lady started a Serie A season so poorly. The last time she lost consecutive matches to open a campaign was in 1912-13, back when the domestic leagues were still divided by region
