Honest question: would you guys like to see the traditional great Italian teams like AC Milan, Inter & Roma to reach their former best levels again, knowing it'll make for a more exciting and competitive Serie A, but costing you guys at least half of the potential trophies?

Yesterday I said on the Arsenal forum the Serie A has bored me for a long time because of your dominance, and because frankly I don't watch it nearly enough anymore. If I'd have been a Juventus fan, I think it would satisfy me much more to win half as many titles competing with other world class teams than winning them relatively easily since Conte made Juve great again and the others were on a serious downward slope. Only Napoli and Roma have been somewhat threatening you in Italy the recent years.

To answer your first question I have to say yes we would. A competitive Serie A benefits everyone specially in UCL but not if it exlcludes Italian players. Serie A was at it's finsest from late 80s to 2006 mainly becuase of the quality of home grown talent. Most of the teams you mentioned have failed to address that and have failed to invest their money wisely specially the Milanese Duo.

I do want us to break the 5 in a row record and keep going strong until a worthy opponent beat us.

When I mentioned that you should watch it more it's because even though the other teams are not as strong as before the games between them are often very entertaining(except for the Milan derby ;) ). The main reason that many of them fail to live up to it in Europe is inconsistency, almost all the teams that made it to europe fail to do so the next year and their form drops. This happens because they either sell their best players ( like Udinese with Sanchez) or complacency or many other reasons.

They need to get their stadiums ready fast and most of them need new management with fresh ideas( as does the Lega which it won't get for a while) and get rid of the Gallianis and Lotitos and bring people in who can improve them from their academies to their business dealings and their image as a club as well. You wouldn't believe the number of childish insults these owners and club chiefs swing at each other every weekend. You don't think it matters but our management and the way the behave affects the players and their mindset. It takes out the negativity.
You look at clubs like Dortmund, Spurs, Atletico and you think how come AC Milan and Inter are not a class above them or at least at the same level and they can be, if they stop with the nonesense! Now that the Chinese are becoming in charge we will have to wait and see what is gonna happen.

I think that for any true Juventino, this era of dominance is thoroughly enjoyable after the farce of Calciopoli of 2006. It cost us a lot and we had to rebuild from the ground up; whilst it was a slow painful process, it has made us the well-oiled machine that we are now, and I don't feel a hint of sympathy for any of the other teams, particularly the Milan clubs, who took much glee, and many trophies away from what would have been a golden era for us back then.

All that being said, there needs to be better leadership at the FIGC and new outside investment in the league, not just to improve the squads, but also the stadia, training grounds and wage structures. I do enjoy being on top, but I would like to see a better league with more top foreign talent coming in.

We all want it, but after all the s**t we went through, seeing them all squirm and scurry around does have it's satisfaction factor.

We are doing our part for Italy, but we are the only ones really. The new presidential election didn't bring the freshness everyone wanted. Everyone is looking for instant solutions and quick fixes...

I mean it took years for teams like Roma to realize what a boost the new stadium is for us. Process is way too slow. Government not helping either. It is going to a long time until Serie A will boast about anything.

An international event would certainly boost things, but first the country needs to make itself desirable.
So... Anyone excited about the Pja-Pja midfield?
Everyone knows and rates Pjanic, but I believe Pjaca will prove to be a big hit too. He's probably Pogba's replacement and has a similar style; big guy with great technique, prefers to play in the AM positions but can be deployed in the CM or even DM or striker positions.
The way he plays on the wing makes me believe that he will replace Cuadrado. Just watched the Scoutnation vid of him and I like what I see. He has determination and grit which is something we highly value.

His ability to play all over the field is also something that is part of this new era Juve side. Conte started the movement where players need to be able to multitask and he fits the bill.

also he has a CR feel to him dribbling wise.

We have so much depth now, that honestly I can't see what the team will play. Although we will sell a few players, but we are just loaded atm :)
..now if Higuain comes and Pogba stays as well :O

GK: Buffon, Neto
CB: Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Rugani, Benatia
WB: Lichsteiner, Alves, Evra, Sandro
CM: Marchisio, Khedira, Pogba, Pjanic, Sturaro, Lemina, Asamoah
ST: Dybala, Higuain, Pjaca, Mandzukic, (Zaza)

this team has the ability to play any formation.
I think one of was bought to replace pogba goals and assists. Pjaca is replacing caudrado who will go back to chelsea. Pjaca is a winger/forward.
Like Spigy said I hope Allegri will use these players wisely and attack with some balls!!

We also have Hernanes in the midfield FYI ;)

I cannot get over the fact that we are paying 90 for Higuain...

Not exactly how imagined our first big buy :/
News on Higuain to Juve, so far.

Gonzalo Higuain has signed contract until 2020 with Juventus. His wage will be 7,5M€/season. Soon Juve will pay release clause to Napoli

Gonzalo Higuain has had medicals with Juventus, yesterday in Madrid! And he has signed his contract until 2020

Holy s**t!!

The biggest deal in our history. Welcome Goalzalo!!

I guess it's goodbye to Paul or this might make him think twice about leaving for money.
Hm. I don't know how I feel about this. Isn't 90mil euros a bit much?!
+2
It is a lot more than he is worth as we are also buying out his contract :/

This also means that Pogba is leaving as there is no way we would pay this much for a player. Which leaves me sad for several reasons.
1. Pogba, even though he wants to be the best, said no to CL football for money.
2. We are losing Pogba, our most marketable player, the face of the team next to Buffon.
3. Only Marchisio remains of MVP2...
4. I really thought we would bring in more players from the Pogba money like Zidane.

So to sum up, this move smears our image somewhat.
"No to CL football" is just a bit exaggerated. He has the chance to be back in just about 12 months time, which is fair considering he is only 22. And he can play in Europa which is not the same but still is something..

And after getting 100m for Pogba Juventus will join the "quote a higher price" list which I think only Real Madrid and Man Utd are current members. You would have to pay for every transfer maybe 2x or 3x the actual value.
damn..i rather juve sell pogba to real madrid
+5
you say it as if he is leaving juve for stoke. he'll have plenty of CL games here in the future, no doubt about it in my mind. we only missed out on goal difference and mou wont miss top 4, i'm convinced.
As long as Pogba doesn't get sold to United, I'm happy.
I'd rather do a straight swap with Real. Pogba for a 29 year old Zidane ;)
Serie A fixtures are in. 1st 4 are:

Juve Vs Fiorentina
Lazio vs juve
Juve vs Sassuolo
Inter vs juve

:O

We better get fit fast !

yeah and this will be the january line up :) But the rest is good.
If we win all those 4 games, we will win the Serie A once again.
So Pjaca is the latest young talent to arrive. So much movement on the market. Does anyone still remember 2010? :D
Yea
Michel Bastos ;)

So looking at our transfers so far, we have spent around 8 mil net. Still got a lot of cash to burn.

Morata out :(
Pjanic, Alves, Benatia in. Not bad at all.
