After catching M.Materazzi at Abu Dhabi airport, I asked him about Inter and what he thinks about our "brilliant" team. His response was so simple, he said its not a team its a s**t...then asked about possible chances about his return as coach and was told that he is done with everything in relation of Inter.I never took Materazzi so seriously, but hearing such a comment from an ex player is very painful indeed.
As painful as it maybe, people need to get real. Inter isn't going to be evolved into the powerhouse they use to be in a day, its going to take time, a long time. Disappointed to hear that from Materazzi. Inter had debts, sold their best players and now their pretty much down the drain but we already see a few positives since Mancini has joined and if he can keep Kova and build on the players we have today like Ranno, Shaq, Brozo and if the team can get more signings. The likes of Lucas Leiva, Mario Balotelli and another play-maker, I hate the fact that we missed out on Everton Riberio who signed for Al Ahli from Cruzerio, although my dream pick would be Roberto Frimino.

I'm just saying we really need a few good signings to take us to the next level. Lets see what happens in the summer, were still working from ground up.
http://www.espnfc.us/club/internazionale/110/blog/post/2369587/roberto-mancini-should-promote-young-inter-talent-like-isaac-donkor-gaston-camara-for-rest-of-season

Very good article. I don't think we need to throw them all in there but its time to give some of these youth products more chances. Gaston Camara, Andrea Palazzi and Geroge Puscas. They've all shown great potential in the youth team, its time to give them a shot.
i'm mostly curious to see Palazzi, even with the chances he has been given in the first team, he hasn't managed to shine... perhaps during the pre-season they'll be given a serious run with the first team to see how much they can keep in training as I hope the team seriously prepares for this season in a good way...

o...........k....................
kova would enjoy this picture with the way he has been fighting with Mancini! but no wonder Mancini is upset with him, had to pick up my jaw when i read kova earns 4 mil! i can understand why icardi is holding off on his contract talks with the goals he has contributed and how many games he has played compared to Kova!
Really? I had no idea Kova earned 4mil, well if that's the case I wouldn't blame Icardi for holding off contract talks, Icardi has contributed a lot to Inter's season and has some important goals to his name.
I have been the one who always said that we can't achieve anything with this bunch of players, but today I have to admit that this defeat is completely on Manchini's shoulders. He made tones of mistakes that made us suffer like this.Just one more time I got proven that he is not good at coaching in European competitions. His attitude and the way he chose the players was like this is an other league game and we got a long way to go, forgetting about the fact that by losing the game we are out. sigh...
What a game to forget, I don't know what Mancini was thinking. Looked like we had a back three, don't know why he didn't go for a 4-2-3-1 formation, not to mention his going to ask Hernanes to play out-wide??? I just thought Mancini f****d it up for Inter tonight, looking now at the Serie A table I don't know how Inter are going to manage to catch another El spot because if they lose to Sampdoria, it will be done and dusted. Already 8 points behind them.
they'll be forced to sell handa and even icardi next season if they don't qualify for europe so perhaps we could see some change up at inter during the summer... i think i could be a good thing that team will have only serie a to considerate on, considering the team needs a shake up and time to gel... but since not that many players left during the january window and the team plans on bringing in new players, i wonder who will leave, except for the given ones such as Campo and Jonathan... just hope they rebuild the team around ranoch-kova-shaq and if Icardi and Handa do leave, who will replace them? also with Palacio proving how vital he is to this teams success, they'll have to fork out a large sum to replace him... and i still think the only way to get the best out of Kova is in a 4-2-3-1 formation or 4-3-3 depending on how you look at it with 2 DM's! then what about Guarin, Herna and Medel?
Inter is like a girlfriend you are so deeply in love with, but she breaks your heart everyday. The sad part about is that you can't ever give up your love so it hurts so bad after every heart break. sniff sniff

I still love you Inter!
+1
after all that talk from the manager, president, players and management and the night fizzled out like that... at this stage it'll be difficult to even catch up to Samp for a chance in next years EL...
WTF...............conceding goal from Bendtner is worse than getting nutmeg by Messi...What a shame.....
It has been a pretty Poor Performance for a team that claims to win EL and get qualified for CL. We had experienced very bad first half , defensively. All back 4 players are exposed. There is a hug space behind Santon and Campagnaro when they are up front participating in attack while Ranocchia and Jesus are so slow to cover the areas.Medel thinks he is our 5 defender instead of participating in attack. And Carrizo is simply not the best choice when you have someone like Handanovic on the bench.
win EL? inter can't even dream about winning Serie A! or even compete for the scudetto... EL was a long shot, makes me wonder how this season would've faired with Maz still at the helm... Campo and Juan looked disinterested but that's just my opinion and it seemed like Mancini again fielded a 3-5-2 with Campo-Ranoch-Juan at the back and Santon with Hernanes outwide instead of Shaq... i thought they played better after going down a goal and even had some great chances but Wolf's goalkeeper really played a good game and sadly Inter's chances were too far from each other... Wolf's looked like they would see out the game and counter Inter from the beginning as by now everyone knows given enough time, Inter will mess up, have a total meltdown at the back and it took only 23 min for that to happen tonight!
After watching our game, I am sure that there is no way we can survive in EL. There is a very hug gap between our 3 lines, and our midfielders are not able to take the game on themselves.Horrible result against a team in regulation zone.
i keep being surprised by how guarin has managed to turn things around, yes he had 1 or 2 passes go haywire but he really put in a shift, even Icardi was working very hard on the field! so there is still hope... except for Palacio being a class act again, there were signings of some improvements, too bad D'Ambo didn't put on his scoring boots and sadly Dodo and Kova severly lacked match fitness but they seem to be at least trying, specially Dodo that looked more focused on not getting caught out on his position, if he can manage to work on his decision-making he could really step up his game... that's if his injury isn't too serious... but perhaps a loan to the dutch league or eredevise might be of benefit to him... I think Medel and Ranoch really played well together at the back, just hope Mancini really goes for it and plays 4-2-3-1 in their game against Wolfs, since they have nothing to lose and fields Brozo with Guarin in midfield along with Kova or Podo in the trident AM's position along with Palacio and Shaq out-wide and Medel in defence! or really puts Kova on the spot and allow Guarin and Brozo to feed balls to him and tell Kova to run on to the defence till he runs himself on the ground, could work with Icardi more willing now to take up defensive duties...
I saw signs of a great team in the last 30 mins of the match. I'm sure with the right signings and a good summer camp, Inter will be a great team next year. I can feel it.
i think we'll be saying the same towards the end of next season, this reminds me of the old inter, where we'd say next year is our turn for the scudetto but at least serie a was big then and clubs could sign some massive big names, times have changed but still the same pazza inter, with mancini at the helm at least the signings seem to be spot on got even excited when i read we were linked with Musacchio!
Inter has been heading towards the right direction and its only going to get better and better. Guarin who I though would be/should be sold is turning things around like N3ra stated. He can go from wasteful to kick-ass out of thin air and I hope he keeps it up. Ranoch as well seems to be finding his groove and really stepping it up, hope he gets the call up to Italy because his been impressive. Dodo is really trying and I can see it from the way his playing, his pushing himself and I do hope he can improve.

As for the next game, I like the 4-2-3-1 formation. Although I'd rather see Kova in AM position, his passes can be key and he keeps position well not to mention he can drop back if necessary and help in MF. Podo can sometimes just fade away, would rather see him come off the bench. Guarin and Brozo can play the 2 man MF with Palcio hustle&hard-work along with Shaq and his creativity out-wide. I can see Medel and Ranoch play the CBs roles, Juan hasn't been as convincing and Medel is tough as nails and can be that partner with Ranoch.

On other news, hearing Rafael of Man Utd could be existing in the summer. Would love, if Inter signed him!
Rafa hasn't played much and Man U will be desperate for cash considering the team v.gaal is building isn't half finished but a team with fb's such as Dodo, Santon, D'Ambro and even Rafael doesn't perhaps sound so bad... if Guarin keeps this form up then maybe Inter could sell him for a decent figure or at least the same amount as they bought for him...

the question is what type of formation Mancini wants to play next season and how he'll introduce Kova into that system... Inters midfield was already miss-matched with Guarin, Kova and Hernanes but Brozovic complicates things even further... specially when you consider fielding Kova... it's no wonder Mancini has been forced to bench him... best option would be to sell Guarin and give that role to Kova and further sell Herna, Kuz and even Medel and replace them with 2-3 players that suit Kova and Brozo... I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Lucas and Toure but that's unlikely to happen... if Guarin were to stay then Kova will likely see more of the bench as he'll have to compete with Brozo but if Kova can adapt to playing as AM and Guarin gets used to playing in a 2 man midfield then Mancini will only need to find 1 new player to play next to Guarin... if QPR gets relegated i hope Inter go after leroy fer...
a mistake at the back and a quick switch to 3 at the back really cost inter this game, wolfs looked out of it and inter will feel this was a missed chance as wolf will have plenty of time to recover for the second match and a goal difference of 2 will be very hard for inter to overcome... but you never know in football, eitherway cesena is up next and ill be curious to see Defrel play a live game, as he has been scoring some beauty of goals in serie a this season and with Cesena up for relegation, perhaps he could be a good back-up for inters wingers...

I thought Wolfsburg were not as good I thought they were going to be but they did lose last weekend and looked like they were out of it. To bad Mancini decided to rest Handa and start the backup. We started well by taking the lead but I noticed that we did switch off to a back 3 which made no sense but after the second goal, I was like well this is done. We failed to capitalize and I think Wolfsburg will be playing better the next time around.

The defensive got worse once we brought Vidic on, his bad timed tackles led to the third goal.

el was a gamble but there is still 1 more game to play, they'll have pull some stunning performance infront of their fans if they are likely to go through... besides Napoli looks like the only Serie A team capable of winning, with Benitez at their helm and Higuain hitting form of lately, just hope EUFA will award that extra cl spot to serie and not the team that finishes second in EL, that way Inter can aim for top 4 finish but with 10 pints to make up and Lazio with Viola having a good season... it'll be tough ask... besides Biglia seems to have settled well into Serie A, if only Thohir could ask Lotito to take back Herna and give Inter Biglia instead!
i thought it'd be a boring game with inter desperate not to lose another game and napoli glad to settle for a draw after their coppa match but Higuain, Kouli and Hamsik really had an inspired game! a lot of plp talk about 3 at the back with wing-backs having a huge part to play in that system but it looked like Benitez picked up 1 or 2 things from italian football with the way his attacking-wingers attack and defend with the way they dealt with Guarin and Brozo! but he'll probably get a lot of stick for his substitutions and Mancini will be credited for that turnaround even though I also believed the game to be finished after Napoli's 2-0 lead... i can see why a lot of the teams players compliment Medel, as he had a huge role with his distribution and defensive covering but Napoli dealt with it nicely and the scoreline could've turned out differently... Brozo was easily MOTM followed closely by Handa and Ranoch... just finding it hard to believe how Shaq was kept so silent by the Napoli defence... and even if Palacio isn't playing to his best, he did well! incredible how much effort he puts into his game...
Brozo was amazing, Medel was just getting it done against Napoli but I was dissapointed that Shaq was kept shut for the match, if theirs anyone to pull out some magic it would have been him. On the other hand, I love Handa, he doesn't get much credit and Inter is very lucky to have him around. I was hoping for a late winner but Napoli settled for the draw and didn't feel the need to go out and win. Man, I just can't believe how good Kouli is and how Napoli landed that gem of a player.
it'll be an interesting game tonight, perhaps Handa can put on a show and pull this team through as the Germans will look to kill off this game in their own home turf instead of allowing Inter to get a good result for the return leg in san siro! Kouli was immense in the way he dealt with Shaq... but I was more impressed with how Ranoch raised his game towards the end, a bit dissapointed in Juan but hopefully the defence will pull through on this one, just worried about D'Ambro and Santon, as you could tell by how much they struggled that they've come back from injuries and lacked stamina for 90 mins play...
