Cant wait for Mancini's debut. Hopefully it will be a great game, and we can get a result :)
SO far, same sh*t...We need new players, not manager.
the team did have a different feel to it but it wouldn't matter if inter lost or won against milan tonight if the team played badly, obviously a great performance and a result to match it would've been great but considering milan are only +1 point ahead of inter in the table... the gameplay and how the team responded to the introduction of mancini was more important tonight than anything else, i thought they played fairly well, only lacking in when they're interchanging or linking up but that'll come with having actual game time and it won't matter how much time they spend on training on learning tactics as it's different to real-time play but if they can improve on this performance with d'ambro, hernanes, osvaldo and m'vila coming back from injury and they are 100 % we could see a change of results... also Guarin wasn't either 100 % match fit and Kova with Icardi won't always be consistent but i think this team could trouble Roma and I'm looking forward to that game as this derby was really just a 'friendly', as Milan hasn't yet settled this season, this was Inzaghi's first time in charge of a derby and their season could really go eitherway as so far they've had far too many draws but it could be a good start or the team could come crashing down and can't continue grinding out results on their own waiting for their coach to find a working formula for the team... but the real danger will be facing roma! they'll be on another level compared to milan but their midweek cl game could help out in slowing them down a bit so you'd hope Icardi and Palacio gets rested against dnipro for the Roma game...
just read the derby is sold out, hope inzaghi doesn't field his team with a defensive mindset, they obviously have more to lose compared to mancini's inter but i hope for an exciting game that's open and both teams play end to end and really go for it... if mancini plays with 4 at the back, inter will certainly lack on the sides so much of their play will be through the middle and down to osvaldo or palacio, just hope icardi has a good game so that palacio and osvaldo don't run out of steam trying to provide for him...
Inzaghi must go for a win here, its a derby no one wants to settle for a draw in a bragging rights game and both teams need 3 points. My guess is we will see a Honda-Menez-Elsha attacking three with maybe Muntari-Nigel-Bonaventura in the MF with some makeshift RB-Rami-Mexes- De Sciglio in the back. If they play a 4-3-3 formation and Mancini comes in with a 4-3-2-1 formation its going to be the battle of the MF. Although they will have an advantage on the wing with both Honda or Elsha likely to play or even Menez. Dodo isn't the best defender and the team lacks a proper RB. Milan will want to win and come out attacking, lets home Icardi can finish his chances and Kovacic turns up to play the game of his life.
I don't expect any miracle from Mancini. With these bunch of players, even Alex Ferguson can do nothing....
Its going to be tough for Mancini this time around as a manager for Inter but I would take Mancini over Mazzari any day of the week. Looking into future transfer windows at least Mancini knows who to bring in and what do with them while sometimes you wonder what Mazz is even thinking. Its a strange timing but it gives Mancini time to evaluate our team and hopefully bring in some quality reinforcements in January. Our hopes in terms of future players for Mazz might have been low but Mancini might bring in some good quality players because Mancini demands a certain standard and might have been promised some cash for the window to improve the squad or else why would he have taken the job at all if he knew the outcome? Have some faith bro:)

to be honest fergie did well with his players and moyes failed horribly the season after, depends on how the coach and the players work with each other... if the coach can get the best out of them and the players are willing to give their best for him... then obviously it comes down to hard work, preparation and a bit of few things working in their favour, such as refs, weather, injuries, goal-post, deflection basically anything that could happen in those 90 mins of play plus extra time... the job of the coach is to forsee these things and for the players to act accordingly... really simple when you think about lol! but we'll see what thohir does if inter fails and ends up in 7th or lower position and Mancini doesn't hold up to what he promises...

eitherway i'm most excited about the 4-2-3-1 formation that Mancini usually uses and as for new signings i hope the club goes after balo instead of borini and if possible either destro or florenzi from roma! and if they're seriously intersted in getting players from the bpl then no more players like vidic or cole and that means no johnson! but ill be curious to see if vidic can play in a 4 man defence with ranoch as perhaps ranoch can take ferdina's role...
^ I know right, I'm know Mancini loves the 4-2-3-1 formation and I'm glad the back three line-up days are coming to end soon. I know for sure Mancini is going to bring in some quality but gonna be hard to bring in Destro or even Florenzi in that case but I know Luiz Adriano is available for a pre-conract talks in January. Considering his in hot form and plays very well in a 4-2-3-1 formation would be welcomed player and his record speaks for itself. Another player that Mancini should move for is Man City's Matija Nastasic, top class young player who feel out off the pecking order for no god damn reason and Pellegrini likes Demichelis ahead of him. Considering Mancini signed him to City and got the best out of him and he might be available for 5mil, I would push for him.I'd rather see him play for Inter then any other PL team. Its so tempting to see Khedira so cheap in the window but I know he won't come to Inter. On the other hand their are lots of player there for the picking in January, hopefully Mancini makes a few.
if mancini can get his ideas across and he feels comfortable with deploying the team with 4 at the back, ill be curious to see how the team responds, perhaps a new coach might give them the belief to do well against a stuttering milan but the real test will be against roma... and also now until the juve game will give a good indication of how well they're progressing... anyways, the team will be desperate for a change of results or thohir will get the focus on him, now that maz is out of the picture and mancini fails with this team... then the blame will fall on thohir for not providing the cash for new players...

i was surprised to read that nasta is only 21! but isn't he too similar to juan? there is a reason why adrianos contract is running out and that he only has 1 cap with brazil, he isn't exactly prolific as he has been of late, just that he is in a rich form and no guarante that he will play like that always for inter... if inter did get khedira it'll be a serious signal of strength and intent... he is a world cup winner and won't perhaps add much to the team as compared to kroos or vidal but he is at the top of his game when compared to medel, strootman and matic... the purchase of destro could be possible with the sale of icardi and handa, he has had a great start to the season, finding the goals and handa who is negotiating for a new contract could perhaps be sold to bring in some more cash into the club rather than tying him down to an expensive contract... just hope the club doesn't get suckered into getting cerci to lower the price of icardi, at. madrid definately overpaid! then again it'll depend on how mancini sees icardi and if he thinks he is worthwhile keeping hold off compared to destro or the extra cash that could come in...
I would like to see Destro, his more of a consistent confident scorer then Icardi but we'll have to see the striker situation and what Mancini sees is best for Inter. Luiz Adriano might not be the best striker out there but depending on his wages and he might be available for free I don't see why he wouldn't be a good pick up unless Mancini makes a move for another striker. Would be troubling if Osvaldo is still around. Nastasic is not like Juan, hell an inform Nastasic is better then Juan. Why do you think Arsenal are trying to get him? His good on the ball, can read the game very well and positioning/heading is wonderful for a 21 year old and plays in a back 4 line up. The guy plays well beyond his years and was a Mancini favorite. Although his on 70k a week at City which makes his move a bit hard to Serie A.
going by the formation mancini used against the primavera, its easy to see why he would be desperate for a striker but that could be resolved by bringing back alvarez and botta, unless the club feels they could get another player who is cheaper than what it'll cost to sell alvarez and is a better player... also if during the rest of the season, one of palacio and osvaldo gets injured or worst as it has been for Maz, both of them... then Mancini will need an extra striker... as for midfield and defence, i think the team has just about to get by until the summer, i'd like to see dodo tested out as fb and see if he can improve on his defensive side before going after kolorov or another lb... and for the right side, we still have nago in the team and d'ambro should soon return from injury... and with vidic, ranoch and juan already fightin for 2 spots in defence, another defender will only complicate things, unless the team sells juan and then gets nasta... specially when we still have campo and andreo at the club... and mancini already mentioned he saw guarin as a key player and the fact that he needs to figure out what to do with kova and herna... along with m'vila and medel, then perhaps at most mancini could ask for a AM/SS... osvaldo hasn't really gotten a chance to shine, i'm curious to see how he fairs when he is fit playing alongside palacio... but there is still time from now untill january and the summer to see who makes the cut and who is dead weight... already kuz and obi are up for the chop, since they've been at the club the longest and then there are jonah and campo that need replacing and out of all the loanes dodo and m'vila seem to be bright prospects... medel and vidic haven't really adapted to serie a, let's see if mancini can get something out of them and osvaldo seem to be on the backburn, i hope it's just the injury but he hasn't so far shown that he is hungry to stay at the club...
I agree things start to shift if the formation changes to a back 4. 2 CBs per game means one of the starters can rest and Inter still have Campo/Andreo backs fresh and ready for EL games. D'Ambro should be back soon from his injury lay-of so having Naga/Dodo/D'Ambro rotating should be enough cover. Looking into the MF I agree Mancini could bring in AM/SS but I wounder if he can get Alavarz/Botta back from their loan deals if not I'm sure his going to look for a AM/SS in the PL. As for a striker, i can see why that is the new talking point. Mancini would want a goalscorer that fits his 4-2-3-1 formation and its a matter of weather he relies on Icardi or not. Icardi/Palcio/Osvaldo look like a nice trio of strikers to have but none of them have been productive enough on a consistent level. Lets see what Mancini can muster up, rumors are that he plans to raid the PL.
just hope it isn't the likes of johnson or kolorov, vidic and cole are already struggling and there is a reason why their clubs let them go, bpl is a competitive league and if players are cut from their teams, it's because they really can't compete with the best any more and inter shouldn't be a retiring home for old stars... the only former bpl players that have done well in serie a so far are tevez and gervinho and honestly the type of players i would like to see at inter from the bpl are barkley, ramsey, januzaj but since none of them are likely to arrive any time soon just hope it won't be older players that are having difficult time getting playing time and with huge demands for contracts... read something about kaya so there is the option of turkey also... perhaps signing mancini was a good option rather than keeping maz and signing a bunch of players that could suit him.... but we'll see how the these players respond to Mancini and if he'll also need many or just few new players...
Hopefully, I will lose it if Inter signs Johnson, I won't mind Kolorov if he can salary pay-cut because he is a good LB and would be surprised if City sold him this winter but with Dodo around I don't see the point. Kaya would be a nice purchase as well, 23 years old with lots of talent. One thing I'm liking is the fact that Mancini fancies Lamela, hopefully if their is big money being thrown around in the future its for that guy.
well the only way the club will sign him is if they sell hernanes but i doubt any club will be willing to pay the amount inter paid for him... there aren't that many world class am/ss around in europe that'll come cheap! i'd say go after balo if inter are gonna splash money but i'd settle for pato since liverpool won't sell him anytime soon not unless rodgers gets the kick... also while the club goes after pato, why not try for ganso as a substitute for lamela? he could probably come for a cheaper price and is crazy talented, perhaps he could find his feet with inter... even that kid at lazio named keita seems to show a lot more talent and promise, almost makes me think why didn't we go after him rather than hernanes!
I was a bit surprised how much Inter went out to by Hernanes for. I mean he was 28 years old and 20mil??? That's a lot of money for a man not to far from 30 years of age but none the less his a great player. Ganso has been linked with Inter a few seasons ago and I've always wondered why he hasn't left Brazil yet because while Neymar was making a name for himself in Santos, he was right there with him in terms of talent. Top quality player that would be a gem at Inter Milan. Pato?? I certainly do like him but are we certain to see more goals from him.
perhaps not but was thinking of strikers that are familiar with serie a and could be of use as back-up to icardi, if he is used well, stays injury free and is hungry to do well, he could succeed at inter, he is still young and won't be a kaka or a ronaldo as it was with milan when they signed them back from abroad... if not pato then why not go after bernard? he hasn't been getting any playing time at shaktar and could do well alongside ganso as he did with ronaldinho... since gansos injury he hasn't been the same and his club is probably holding out for mega bid from europe before releasing him...
I like Bernard a lot. The kid is on another level of amazing if he gets consistent starts. His got lots of pace and energy if anything we learned anything in Serie A the last few seasons, is that pacy players are very effective in this league. He probably does want to leave Shaktar with all the stuff going on in Ukraine and having him on the wing is pretty awesome. Pato wouldn't be a bad deal but it depends on how much he would be coming in for considering his not the best scorer and super injury prone.

Gotta love Brazilian players. Although that Roberto Firmino kid is something special. His everything you can ask for, a goalscorer and a creator. Not to mention he scored his first goal for Brazil in his second appearance for them.

Mancini is back

I just read that Mazzari just got sacked. Who else is surprised about this? I assumed Thohir would keep his word about Mazzari keeping his job.
I'm not suprised tbh. It was coming.
Oh wow, I'm a bit taken back. I thought at the least he would keep the job until the end of the season or at most get sacked if Inter lost badly in the derby but not now. Didn't see this one coming. looks like Roberto Mancini is going to given the job but I don't know much difference his going to make or what he has planned out.
+1
read that psg was interested in mancini and the reason why they acted to fast but also with his sallary, i thought they would've gone with a caretaker like zenga or the primavera coach and wait untill the end of the season before going after coaches that demand does sallary, like Miha, Martinez and others that are currently employed by clubs but since the rebuilding of inter didn't work with Maz after a year in charge, it's easier to get a new coach in before the january window and give enough time for planning of next summers window... i think inter are going along the lines like V. Gaal and hoping the fumes of Mancini's previous success will drive the team forward and buy them some time, i'll give Mancini the credit of being good at building teams, often 2-3 out 5 of his signings are usually good but it'll depend on how much the club are willing to spend, his track record for european success is bad for a coach that demands that high of sallary but is great at national level... eitherway, we'll see just how long these fumes will last before this frenzy will start over again... the team will need a couple of wins just to get the fans involved again and for the team to start competing for a cl spot before the media is on inters side and the team gets good publicity and business is good again at inter...

i'll salute Maz, he did well getting the team from 9th spot and steering it towards a finish at 5th, too bad the season started so bad but the pressure mounted way before the start because of the signings and expectation for the club to at least fight for 2-3 spot... but results and game-play was too hard to swallow even for inter fans... would've liked to see Maz at least try 4-4-2 formation and not be so insistent on 3 at the back, it was clear for all to see it wasn't working, could've perhaps saved him if he showed he was flexible and proved to everyone even with 4 at the back this team will still get the same results, just imagen now if Mancini does well with 4 at the back how much finger pointing Maz will recieve!...
+1
Exactly it depends on how much the club can give him to work with. in City he brought in Silva, Aguero, Yaya and promoted Joe Hart to the first team. Gotta love him for that because we wouldn't be what we are today without him. I like a manager who knows who can get good players.

What interests me is that the timing of Mancini hiring. I wonder what his wages are because knowing Mancini its not going to be cheap or would he take massive pay-cut to come to Inter. With Mancini coming in, Inter is bound to get some good quality players.
+1
he is the highest paid coach in serie a and more than Maz who held that position... the worst part is inter will still have to pay the wages of Maz and his staff untill 2016 but also Mancini and his staffs wages untill 2017... money that could've been used to buy 1-2 players!
Maz is really splitting opionions in serie a! some of things that has been said about him by a couple of people are almost ridiculous, it would be unfair to throw all of inters burdens on him but he'll sound like a defeated man if he starts complaining about that also! i wouldn't want to be Maz at this moment and hope he can get through this period...
Its a tough spot to be in but he knew what he was coming into from the start. Although he does takes lots of criticism which isn't his fault. His given players to work with from the club and what they can bring in, at Napoli he had more quality to work with which in return made his tactics and style more effective but with Inter its not progressing much. Is he bringing the best out of this current team? Its tough to say atm considering the number of injuries the team has but even a change in formation won't change much, the teams depth and quality isn't much which leaves the team in a tough hole not to mention the new signings are still trying to gel into their new team. So his forced to play this way for at Inter. Although I think his might get sacked if he doesn't win the derby.
Watching an Inter's match is as funny as a kick in the b******s
Lol.
J. Jesus is the only player who deserves some credit...the rest of the team is crap, literally crap...And we did play very bad... just horrible...I say this because i know some of you guys will show up again and say that we played good...
+4
I don't know who you mean but I point out any positives to take away from the game. Like today despite the equalizer Icardi notched two goals, which is a big plus imo, the guy needs to score more. Juan Jesus was playing deserves the credit because he pushed himself to defend. The more I watch the defense the more I realize why the hell does Mazz like the 3 man formation so much, you play it when you have CBs that can cover, along with WBs that can defend. Love Dodo for his attacking football but not a whole lot of defending going on and Naga didn't do much at all. It just doesn't add up at all but going back to the game after Medel was sent off the team was struggling in the second half.
+1
didn't get the chance to watch the game and i can't find a link that shows the whole game without having to download it but you could see what kind of impact palacio has on the team, imagen having him on the field fully fit and Osvaldo? also both of the goals came from mistakes again... we've been victim of it for too many times, ultimately who is to take the blame? Maz or the players? the first goal resulted from Nago and Ranoch and the second from Juan and Dodo... honestly teams have become to used to inters defence and how to exploit their weakness too well, you'd hope the attack gets better so that at least we can respond and if possible win games against teams that we can on the day but it'll be difficult in tight games when inter will come up against teams that play equally and small margins will decide the outcomes, they can't afford to continue making mistakes and throw away points like this, hopefully the team will start playing better when there is a full squad available...
Totally agree with Blackstyle...this team is average and these are the (fair) results. Quality is way too low....
read somewhere that the team is looking into bringing in chiriches or heurtaux of udi, can't comment on them since i've never seen them play but they seem to to be intend on plugging that gap in the back... also something about releasing vidic back to Man U and bringing in Schär but what about Ranoch then? he is really struggling as a rcb... i'd prefer to see him at in the middle of a three man defence but chiriches reminds me of ivanovic from the videos i've seen and he wouldn't be such a bad option as a replacement for campo but he has been struggling at spurs and it's dangerous having a defendor that suffer from lack of confidence... also we've been linked with masuaku but he is a left footed lwb, we already have dodo there and just recently signed with olympo who are playing in the cl, how did that transfer rumour happen?
Seems like Utd need Vidic back but if it happens Schar needs to come in. Best possible signing imo, his going to come cheap with his contract running out this summer, so a move for him must happen. His got great potential because his a strong defender and can distribute very well, almost reminds me of Bonucci. His very composed for his age and seems to communicates well with his teammates and knows when to step up in big games that matter. Problem would be that Ranoch would also seem ideal to play in the center of the 3 but so does Schar. Although Schar plays a lot like a leader and goes to show why Basel has been pushing themselves and challenging in UCL. Biggest issue is not having a RWB, Johnthan isn't nothing special and Obi is just a cover player. Inter needs a RWB who can cross.
if Man U does take vidic off inters hand, they'll be doing Inter and Vidic a favour, he alone can't make up for the mistakes by Ranoch, Juan, Dodo and whomever on the day is playing at rwb... would've been different in the old days when you had the likes of Cordoba/Lucio, Matrix/Samuel at the back and Maicon and Chivu/J. Zanetti on the wings!

this current team seems out of order and it doesn't help that Maz is forcing Inter to purchase players that can play in a style that he wants... what happens when he has a full squad and further re-inforcement after the january window and things still doesn't work out? Inter will be left with players that the next coach might not have use for or can't fit into their style!

best thing to do would be to set up the team in a 1-3-2-3-1 formation and go after players that can play in that formation, then depending on the coach they can always tweak it a bit to suit their style either as in 3-5-2 or any variant of 4 defenders at the back...

imagen a team of;

Icardi

W/LM/SS - AM/SS - W/RM/SS

MC - MC/DM

WB/DM - DM/CB - WB/DM

Ranoch

and Kova can always play as a AM or a MC... also if the team does decide to play with Kova and Herna in the starting line-up they could always have WBs that can play as DMs to give them cover and upfront Alvarez would even be given a chance or other wingers that can track back and if you have ultra defensive wingbacks then you could field SS's, i'm thinking about how Mou is currently fielding his chelsea team... Medel can play as a DM/CB but I'd always pick players like Hummels and D. Luiz or even Koulibaly with maybe Mbiwa that are currently playing in serie A before him!... hope Inter go after that young italian that plays as RB/DM/AM at Bayern...
The team is struggling because the squad is predictable week in and out. No depth whatsoever. Teams know what to expect and Mazz doesn't really want to switch things up and wants reinforcements in his leaky formation. Teams know Inter don't have WBs that can cross very well so that isn't much of a worry to them, that means they have to close down the strikers and make sure the feeders like Kova don't feed them with service. Once they shut the strikers down the team is basically out of options and the team doesn't have a creative SS that will score goals or run into the 18 and dribble past players giving the 1-2 or taking shots so that maybe the strikers can get in the rebound. The defense is just worse, Ranoch is struggling at RCB position, Vidic is slow and can't cover up other players mistakes and Juan isn't consistent enough. Then your left with WB that can't defend. Its a mess!

I like your formation, Ranoch can be the conductor but I would like to see another CB like Dede for muscle and Schar coming in. Both are top quality with Juan/Andreolli as rotation. I think this teams defensive could improve by a lot. Both reasonable signings that give this team the flexibility of rest key players and being able to change tactics. Dede is just pure muscle and is an imposing figure against any opponent standing almost at 6'4. Schar needs the game very well while he can get in excellent service from his position to the strikers almost like a Bonucci type player. As for RWB/RB anyone that can defend well and attack with good crosses. I don't know who the young italian is, could find him if you can possibly give me a name but Fabio Da Silva would be a good option.

Looking into the MF if the team can bring back Alvarez because I still think his a big assets to Inter and sign a creative AM/SS player then things could possibly turn around. Apart from that if M'Vila gets back and starts playing well along with Medel playing that DM position and Hernanes/Kova CM players and Alvarez/Botta. I would prefer a Winger like Ahmed Musa at Inter. His just so talented.

I don't know just what I would see reasonable players coming in for Inter. Seems a bit crazy but hell I want to see a better team.
gaudino, but he wasn't italian! he is a german player thought he would've been nice having him in midfield along with crisetig... still not a fan of Medel, not to take anything away from the player but unless they're similar to viera i've never been a fan of dm's that have the same style as gattuso, they can win you trophies and work their socks of but i'll take a busquet type of players to win me over, i'm not even a fan of matic that is currently doing so well with chelsea and at man city i rate yaya highly as dm rather than both brazilians... not entirely convinced we need a schär or dede but it's not like inter will be getting vertonghen or ramos anytime soon so i can see how a strong cb coupled with intelligent cb can work together, much like how kompany and demi are doing now at city but i'm not a fan of either of those two... musa reminds me of cuadrado and could do really well in serie just like gervinho but im sucker for flair and enjoy seeing am play as wingers just like oscar and hazard, imagen if inter had konop and alvarez/botta on the wings and grenier as am in that starting line up? or even the other players we've been linked with such as depay and thauvin? and if i wasn't afraid of bakalli turning into another quaresma for us, he'd be also be an exciting fella to have on the wings but botta and alvarez haven't enjoyed much playing time in their new clubs they've been loaned out to so you'd wonder just how much good it is doing them or how inter can benefit from them next season? fabio would be an exciting idea for the wingback position but he suffers from the same stigma as dodo, that he can't defend! also anderson had a stint with viola and didn't manage to get into the rythm of serie a... if inter had fabio and dodo on the wings, you could forget about fielding attack minded SS/AM as wingers but instead be forced to target wingers that can defend, inter already has Alvarez but another, too bad we missed out on Gaitan but he is probably too much of winger rather than SS/AM and won't suit Maz... the only players i can think of that could work with Maz would be Depay and Thauvin because of their strength and agression but there is no way they could arrive on loan and they'll probably cost too much as investments... at most we'll probably end up with ayew, rolando and perhaps another midfielder if Kuz or Guarin leaves in january... and i can't tell who will be the new rwb, perhaps by that time nago and jonathan will regain fitness or the club most have notified jonathan that they won't renew with him and has demoted him so it'll come down to d'ambro and nago being fit unless they can convince torino to let them have darmian on the cheap or on loan for the rest of the season with an obligation to buy but an option would be better...
I can't tell hows coming in for the RWB position either. Its hard to find a Wing-back that can actually defend as well as attack. Darmian has always been my top favorite choice considering he loves playing down the right hand side with strength, speed, awareness and his awesome tackling. Although he won't come on a cheap unless Inter pull of a stunning move somehow. Ayew wouldn't be a bad signing because his got that attacking flair about him and can score goals as well. When in form the dude can play like a beast but I think Serie A might be a challenge for him. Although if Inter sign Grenier I would be over the moon, the guy is a genius of a player and is exactly what Inter need. Someone who can dribble, pass and score some sick goals. If Guarin left I would invest in him asap. I can see him and Kova playing off each other and Inter needs that kind of chemistry. As for CB Rolando managed to put on good strong performance against lower Serie A sides and that's proving to be a lot harder for Inter current crop of Vidic, Ranoch and Juan. My the problem is, is Rolando enough? I just haven't been impressed with the back-line this season. Then we've always been linked with Joel Campbell as well.
Grenier would be an awesome idea but i wouldn't wish for him to work with Kova, even in the french team he has two dm's working with him, Matuidi and Pogba and that allows him to play off with Cabaye, that plays a bit deeper, and he offers a different alternative style of play to Benzema and Ribery... too bad he got injured just before the world cup as he wouldn've been great for france but at Inter he'll struggle with Kova, just like Herna is... Maz plays with 3-5-2 and at Napoli he had two DM's but at Inter he is forced to play with Herna and Kova... and that means one of them has to defend with Medel if for instance Kova takes Hamsiks spot as AM and since neither of them are good at defending, it'll leave huge gaps between forwards and midfield players... and Icardi is no Cavani and Palacio isn't as strong or quick as Lavezzi... the whole team is off balance and if put Grenier in this current team it'll make things even more complicated and you'll have to bench one of Kova, Herna and Palacio... that's why I thought Kova really needed a DM that can work with him and Herna... Medel isn't the answer... but M'vila is a great back-up, still young and showed before ha possesses some talent...

we only need one really good cb to work with Ranoch, in my opinion it has to be a defender that can play as DM, i mean good at going forward and if possible great at distributing the ball, as I think Ranoch's best position is as a sweeper... then it won't matter if there is another good cb at the club because the leakes is at the wings... at napoli Maz had Maggio and Zuniga, two players that were good at going forward but equally adapt at covering up at midfield and if it came to it at defence but since you had 3 at the back it wasn't crucial for them to be ultra defensive as cb as long as they were good in defending as midfield players, I rate Asamoah as the best wingback in serie A when it come to defending and attacking but more defending than compared to cuadrado who is the best when it comes to attacking... if Maz wants to play with Herna and Kova and still give this team a balance, then you'll need wingers that are good at defending but since they're important part of his attacking style equally good at attacking along with a DM that can play with Herna and kova...

Campbell has been struggling at Arsenal but it's not easy when you have to fight for a place against Sanchez, Cazorla, Oxlade and Walcott... and he seems like the player that relies on others to play off him, which would suit the arsenal style but he is too static... if it has to too do with his athleticism, then he could benefit from building up his strength just like Sanchez and Lavezzi and could be helped by having typical striker in front of him like Icardi as he looks good at holding up the ball and has a great central gravity which should allow Icardi to get into position and make runs... basically if you could get Campbell to play in the style of Palacio and build up his strength, he could do really well with Icardi and inters attack would be just as lethal as it is now, he wouldn't add anything different to it but the difference being having a player that's stronger at holding up the ball and recieving it at dangerous places...
I see your point. I'd have to see Kova play in the AM position more to be convinced by him playing that role. You can tell his comfortable in his role as CM deep-lying play-maker who almost plays more of a conductor and makes sure everything is going smoothly with his key passes and his through ball. His finishing isn't great and he hardly takes shots on target so that's an issue. I don't know if its a confidence thing but for AM I would want to see more flair and a threat outside the 18 yard box but time will tell.

Although if M'Vila does get back from injury I would like to see him play more often so he can get back on form. If he does I don't mind seeing him play Kovacic position along with Medel and push Kova further up the feild to play him in that AM. M'Vila can play that deep-lying role has got great vision and defensive work but then where would that leave Herananes? It just makes things harder. On defense Rolando added some muscle and does put up a good showing against weaker opposition in Serie A which has been a struggle for the current defensive and I wouldn't mind seeing Rolando back for Inter but your right the WBs are the problem. It sure doesn't help when you have a a LWB who can attack but doesn't defend much and not a sufficient RWB at the club. Tbh if the team doesn't bring in a RWB in January then team is going to struggle, a good one too.

As far as for Campbell I think his had it rough at Arsenal. Wenger sure hates to rotate players which leaves some players with no minutes at all, hell even Podolski wants out but the thing is whenever Campbell has come on for Arsenal his changed the dynamics of the game. He might not fit Inters system or playing style but if he comes for a cheap deal his a steal signing. He might need to build on his strength but his can hold the ball up, score goals and his very dangerous when he gets into the 18 yard box. Most of all for me his just a dangerous player to keep taps on, his not easy to control and will cause havoc for some defense. That alone will take pressure off Icardi and let him make good runs. I'm hearing somewhere around 5mil for his asking price.
lol
+1
wish I could laugh like you...i know its cuz of frustration..
Mazzari's time is ticking. Tic-toc, tic-toc, tic-toc...
The problem is not Mazzari, I don't mind firing him, but I am sure NO ONE can win with this bunch of players we have.. Look at the players play for us yesterday...We relied on 3 youngesters, Kuzmanovich and OBi...Seriously, this is the team we want to win "titles" for us....more like joke to me, tbh...
Kuzmanovich is not a youngster but he did play very well in the first half yesterday in the MF but he faded away in the second. Obi has been doing a good job covering a position that his not even used to. Their playing to rest other players.

Titles aren't even in the works atm, Inter needs to put together a good team first and win more consistently. Its going to take time and their are going to be lots of trials and errors. Thohir doesn't want to spend big money on multiple players so its really going to take a while. I think this team has quality but its missing a few things to close the gap and fill positions to really get things going. Best case scenario this season Inter ends up finishing in the top 5 and goes far in the EL. Lets hope in the summer Inter finds good quality replacements for RCB, RWB, AM/SS and a quality replacement for Palcio.
it hasn't helped that osvaldo and palacio are injured, our biggest threat upfront, our regular wingbacks have been no-show, i'm talking about jonathan and nago and vidic hasn't had the same effect as Rolando, comparing this team to last years second half of the season team... we're worst off... i'd imagen what's most infuriating the fans, besides the fact that there hasn't been any improvements that they've been promised, is that it's been evident by how Maz fields the team in a certain way and that further exposes this teams weaknesses, coupled with some bad results and how the team plays, it's understandable why Maz could be at risk, it would be different if the team had an identity, there has been talk of good atmosphere at the dressing room but it needs to show on the field, give the fans something to believe in, if there isn't any results or a style then something to get the fans involved...
