Would you guys want Mazzari out? I admit he's done ok, not good or bad. but i think for the future we need a more exiting manager who knows how to utilize players like kovacic more often before he leaves due to frustration...hopefully not another lost gem just like coutinho.

like also at Napoli he managed to get 2nd or 3rd a few times, but ultimately the gap between napoli and 1st place was huge, and this is what i mean about getting an exiting manager. mazzari is too cautious for a big club like Inter.
Late to the party. Very busy with exams, but I must say im glad Icardi has started showing what hes got. The boy is a beast. Forza Inter!

http://www.footytube.com/news/guardian/internazionale-confirm-interest-in-signing-fernando-torres-from-chelsea-L30545?ref=hp_tbox

So its not much of a rumor anymore. Torres is an option that Thohir might want to head towards. The problem is his not a goal machine anymore, he lacks that killer finish that he had when he was at Liverpool. What also bugs me is that Inter cannot be serious about matching his wages, 160,000 a week for a man who to this day has made 106 apps for Chelsea and only managed 19 goals in almost 4 seasons is not worth that kind of money.

Tbh, I don't even want him here. I know Altetico is also interested and they can sign him if they want to but if his not going to take a salary cut then their no point in going in for him. Also even if we managed to sign him, I wouldn't trust him as our top choice man, 3rd striker on the team. If were bringing in a third striker we need someone who can score goals consistently with height, CF who can score of crosses.
just can't imagen torres and vidic in the same team! if we can get him on loan with option of buying him on a low cost, or perhaps the same kind of ingenuity galliani did with essien, we'd be coming away with a player that carries a golden name, the fact he has scored so many goals in so many games and we're still talking about him... it can really mean a win-win if he signs a contract with clauses, also if he has a good wc with spain then all the more reason to get him now before then... worst case? we'd have torres on the bench? beats having rocchi there, anyday!
You make a good point. Players like Vidic and Torres bring golden names here, a certain level of value to this team that needs it. A loan move could perhaps work, that would void us from taking the risk of spending lots to sign him and give us the chance on getting him on a cheap option when we buy him at the end of next season. He has 2 season left to play out with Chelsea, if we get him on a loan now and buy him for a much cheaper value, Chelsea will be bound to sell him. He makes big figures annually and really contributes nothing almost all season. Surely Cheslea will want to get rid of him.

The problem here for me is that I don't trust him to be our go-to striker next season. As much as I'd love to say his scored so many goal in the past his really not done much now and we are getting the Torres of now not back then. Idk how his going to function in Serie A and he could turn into a gem tbh. Look at Gervinho, he was considered the biggest flop for Arsenal in his 2 seasons but since arriving at Roma his a completely different players so their is that case of uncertainty because no one will know how Torres will turn out to be in Serie A.

Although if he is brought in next season and no other striker is, then we need to strengthen our MF big time! Like I mean massive reshuffling going on because you can't have successful goalscorers if you don't have a good MF force providing for them. You goalscorers are only as good as the service their getting. I don't mind if Torres comes about to Inter but then we need to focus on our MF and DF in the summer because we already now that Palacio and Icardi can find the back of the net now we just need to put the puzzles together.
please not torres, he's completely lost it. if torres comes we will sub icardi...so much for our youth
I cringe everytime I see Coutinho score knowing we lost a great player.

Its sad really, I wish we could have sold anyone but him. Inter never gave him 20+ starts in a season but Liverpool gave him that and believed him. We should have given him a bigger role in the club knowing his talent and worth but we needed money so it was a tough thing to do. Although just imagine Icardi, Kovacic and Coutinho! Wow what a talent of trio that would be.
+1
Feel the same way with Yaya Toure and Ibrahimovic :/
palacio - man of the match for me, he made it look effortless tonight!
All we need is one other striker and we are set. Icardi is a gem and Palacio is a hardworking machine. Both need to be here next season. Shout out to Alvarez for his energetic performance after coming on.

The whole team put one a good performance. Its weird the one time Guarin is not playing and we win by a mile.
+1
lol yeah yeah! my man guarin is gonna come through in the next match!
It's not weird, it is because Guarin is worse than many other midfielders we have. Playing Guarin intead of Kovacic/Alvarez has been a suicidal move for most part of this season
Once they were bros, then Icardi pulled a John Terry, and Lopez is now the Wayne Bridge of Italy.

after icardis performance tonight we should hire maxi to stand at the end of every team greetings!

Honestly I can understand both Maxi and Icardi after he had been booed for almost the whole match by his former supporters. And showing the ear isn't like killing someone
nowadays every player needs a sign or a signature move to set them apart from other players but that infidelity sign he posted of him on twitter, was down right disrespectful!
Wow you guys did pretty well against Samp Icardi definitely has some good potential

Bad defending. Handa saved so many chances. It is great to see Icardi become the striker we all envisioned. D'Ambrossio was bad as usual.
Icardi is defensively top notch and I hope he keeps scoring until the end of the season. His going to be a big star in the future and we need more young talent like him.

D'Ambro, I'm just losing it with him. His just another signing we made that's well again just average. He was a decent player at Torino but since signing for Inter his just been poor. Maybe he just needs more time but his going to have step it up.
From what I saw, D'ambrosio did pretty well.
Icardi did well, Palacio did well. D'ambrossio was terrible. All his crosses went over and out to the other side. His passing was bad. He never managed to dribble past any player. For the most part, he just back passes or side passes and disappear. He was missing for good portions of the game.
In short, compare his performance to his opposite number Nagatomo on the other side of the field.

I will give him one thing, he can defend. Besides that he is grossly under-performing.
uhm with Maz suggestion he'll train the team in a 4-3-2-1 or 4-3-1-2 for next year, does that mean we can either expect a striker or a midfield signing? with him also saying that kova's finishing and tactical awareness has improved that he is actually planning on using him as a treqa? don't know what to make out of this as it could either mean Maz is thinking ahead for the future and feels secure about his place or he has given up on this season? eitherway I have to hand it to the inter management and gasp must be cursing whomever is letting maz stay on since the three man defence has never worked for us and we've been exposed to it's bad side far too many times this season, heck i can't even recall a game i was excited about watching this team play with a three man defence... well at least he has realized it's a huge gamble, if the 3 man defence fails again next season then he has a fall back plan but i wonder for how long he'll last on the bench before he can salvage anything from the damage the 3 man defence might do again?
Anytime you play with a three man defense, you better have three quality players at the back. You look at the Italian national team and they do it so well because not only do they have that defensive quality but a team that's in sync. They defend together and attack together. With Inter who first of all lacks that defensive quality and at times the team looks out of sync, playing three men at the back is committing suicide. Its insane and I never like it when Inter went out playing in that formation, hell I'd rather see any other formation then 3 men at the back.

4-3-2-1 I can see happening. It would work with 3 men in the MF consisting of Hernanes, Kovacic and X with Botta, Alvarez and maybe another quality attacking MF/winger who we can plug in and rotate with Botta and Alvarez. Lastly a striker, CF etc. We need that big goalscorer in our team.
i would've gone with the 4-3-1-2, with icardi-lamela and oscar as am and a mid of alvarez/X-kova/hernanes-bradley/guarin, just saying lol! the only tricky bit with a hernanes-kova midfield is that they're both static, their off the ball movements and work rate aren't as good as they're with the ball at their feet and they need to be moving constantly to be able to work well with each other so you'll def need a player that can sit infront of the defense and distribute the ball well whilst defending error-free, much like xabi, gerrard and cambi... and those players are really hard to come by!
That's why I put an "X" there. If Cambi is here next season or not we need another CDM, quality player that can sit right in front of the defense, a quick player. Like Brazil's Luiz Gustavo kind of player, Cambi has been amazing for Inter for such a long time but he needs a quality replacement because their aren't a lot of players out their who can do what Cambi did and does for Inter. We need to look hard and try to kind someone who can fit our system.
cambi is a legend, still can't believe we got him for free, if we're gonna play two attack minded midfieldplayers i'd love for us to sign a dm that can also play as a cb but is also good with the ball and has some quality cm attributes, the only one i can think of mascherano but he is terrible as a cb!
http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2014/04/inter-president-thohir-plans-massive-summer-clear-out/

Thought this is an interesting read. I agree with the clear out expect for Icardi and Ricky Alvarez. Icardi for me is just wining me over, he has such raw talent. Ricky Alvarez has been off for a while but I believe his got what it takes to be a big performer for Inter. His young I would give him another season to prove himself.

One thing that I would dislike is Rolando coming to Inter on a permanent deal. His just not top quality material, we need to cash in on a quality CB, Rolando is decent but not top quality.
with thohir being in the bpl, i'm hoping he'd look into Ross Barkley of everton and if we're in the market for a manager, roberto martinez is quickly becoming one of my favourites... he was the one that build swansea way before even laudrup took over! and if we're looking at chelsea players and are thinking about spending some major money on one of their players i'd go for Oscar! he hasn't been getting any playing time and could perhaps go for the same sum as Mata, why not? specially if we're spending something along the lines of 20 M for one of their players? I'd even sell Alvarez, Handa and Guarin if we could get manage to get those two!

rolando?... still pisses me Roma manage to land Benatia! what a defender! just were in the world did they find him? pure class! and to think they sold marquinho for such money and manage to land him from udi for a small sum!
Thohir spend big money on Hernanes but look how good Hernanes is for us, very essential to our squad. Its about the right kind of player we need and I think for once they made a good signing that is essential to us. Make more moves like those in the summer and were good to go next season.

Mazz is unfortunately staying, heard reports that Thohir insisted to him that his job is safe. This is season was more of a practice round to see who's good enough to stay and who's heading out the door.

Roma makes moves like those because they have a smart management and back room, they scout for talent and get the best possible price on them and talent in this league itself. Their smart because not only do they have a top, top squad but depth within that squad. Call me crazy but I would love to get rid of Guarin and but Cerci and Immobile! Love both of them at Torino.
the hernanes purchase surprised me and is a solid replacement for t. motta (i miss that guy!) perhaps even a better transfer than paulinho since he adds experience and has knowledge about serie a but how many of those moves does our manage have up their sleeves?

Cerci looks like an amazing player but we still have palacio in that place, i wouldnt mind replacing those two!... as for barkley he'd be amazing cm! and can easily play with kova and hernanes... he'd be an excellent addition to any team in the world... and oscar, well he'd be our main star, there aren't that many players around like him and he is the type of player that can push this team to the next level!... i don't know about immmobile, yes he has been banging in those goals but every year there is a player like that... pazzini, gilardino, matri and so forth but they never really cut it in the big teams and fail to deliver consistently...
Imho Alvarez is really underestimated, the only problem is that Mazzarri is not fielding anymore in his proper position which means as a n.10 or straight behind our striker. At the beginning of the season he did great things playing there but then for some reasons Mazzarri preferred Guarin over him and we all see the results: Guarin has been shameful and lvarez' performances decreased. I would keep both him and Icardi (I see 0 reason to give him away, he played just a few matches and has an impressive scoring average)
if icardi can still keep on improving, score at least half of the chances he gets... i don't know if it has to do with experience or fitness issues but it's clear to see he has the talent by the goals he scores but the amount of chances he misses and the time he goes missing during games makes me hesitant about him...
His 21 years old, I'd give him more time and let him get more confident. I think Van has a point, his appeared a few times and as impressed already, I mean he misses a lot of chances but at the very least he is getting chances and even creating some unlike so strikers. His still raw and young. I would give him more time to grow.

Barkley or Oscar would not sign for Inter. Why? Well Oscar is going to be beyond, beyond expensive even if Thohir is here and Barkley is English, how many English upcoming talents do you see wanting to leave the PL? Signing Barkley would be incredible but its highly unlikely.

As much as I would love us to pick up talent in the PL I would love to see us pick up young talent in Serie A because that would be an easy transition for them.
way to shoot down a mans dream! but i understand what you mean, if lampard could turn us down during mou's time with us then there isn't much hope about younger talents... too bad about oscar, he and ramires are really some brazilian gems... guess we'll just have to wait until after the summer to see what players we end up with
^Bro, don't take it the wrong way, you know what I mean. I love your enthusiasm and belief. We need to shoot at big target but we need some reasonable talents that are possible pickups. I do agree we need some Brazilian gems, I know its crazy but Ganso for me would be a player we should invest in, after he got injured he Oscar took his place in Brazil but Ganso is still very talented and a player we should invest in.
just got reality smacked lol! but there is always fm14 for that outlet moe, i'd hate for us to be back at this spot next season we're already running the risk of ending back at 9th spot or even worse if things take a nosedive and the team is on a free fall, completely forgot about ganso, after all he was the player to have before oscar and neymar so i hope there are other players out there waiting to be discovered or even rediscovered by us.
The good thing is the WC is also right around the corner, undiscovered talent will be lurking all over the pitch. Lets keep our eyes out for them. I can't wait tbh. Also I understand, we are atm at the risk of ending back at 9th with some tough fixtures to end the season with such as Napoli, Milan, Lazio and Parma. Its going to be a miracle to get us out of those without losing.

On the other note, I would love us to really lure Ganso to Inter. His talented as hell and I would take him and trade Guarin for him, his a class above Guarin. Also Nani who's agent has said that he is going to leave at the end of the season despite signing a new deal he only made 9 PL apps in 2013/14 season. Gotta get him as well.
I give up! i'd be surprised if we managed to sign even 1 player of the same class as hernanes not to mention we still havent tied down alvarez and ranoch for the future... i still believe in guarin just needs to start putting in the hard work as he did with porto before hand... can't believe players come to inter and aren't hungry any more, i have to give it up to palacio who has been class act since he has joined us and i look to forward to salute samuel, milito, chivu, stanko and cambiasso by the end of the year! too bad there aren't any players left in the club to replace them... it all comes down to handa, ranoch, kova, alvarez to bare the flag of this team and i still believe in guarin.
Come on now, don't give! That's not what I want to hear.
