pazza inter! looked like schoolyard football towards the end, with end to end chances!? hope that game works as a wake up call to the players, it doesn't matter if it was a draw, loss or a win, that game was horrible, after the loss in the derby... they'll have to win against viola, samp and juve if they're to salvage anything for third spot, it's sink or swim for them at this moment...

I was afraid second half of the season will catch up to us but I didn't expect Inter to fall apart that fast. Went from being the title contenders to now 11 points from the first place team.

After this game I don't know weather Inter have it in them to beat Viola, Samp or Juve.
juve might hit a bad period without Khedira and Chiel, however Cuad is firing on all cylinders right now... whilst Napoli are only waiting to lose first spot to Juve and to battle out with Roma for second place, as of now Roma seem the only team capable of breaking away from Viola-Inter-Milan-Roma for a tussle with Napoli-Juve... Inter should instead worry about Viola and Milan and bounce on any mistakes Roma make along the way... i hope they go out with a style and i wouldn't mind seeing Icardi-Jojo pairing again with Peri and Eder flanking them outwide... or if that's too much of an attacking formation, a 3-4-3 formation with Nago and Peri as wingbacks and D'Ambro as CB or even Medel alongside Muri-Mira with Jojo-Eder-Icardi upfront...
looked like a trainng match but kinda expected result, honestly inter could've walked away with 6-0 with chievo having tons of first team players missing and them having worse form than inter at this moment... but i thought Medel played really well so did Telles and Nago, you could tell Kondo was lacking in match fitness but he had a good first half but frustratingly switched off after Icardi's goal which forced Brozo and Medel to cover for him and again gave away balls which tired the team even further... however you'd hope Mancini sticks with those two and that Kondo improves with each game...

what I thought was strange is the fact Muri and Mira looked shaky!? since Chievo didn't attack much and weren't that strong in midfield... Palacio and Eder putting intelligent shift upfront, didn't expect Muri and Mira to be troubled so much, they must've been the ones most affected by these defeats... hope to see Medel take Miras place in next match and that Mancini has a talk with Muri... also that Melo comes in as DM and Peri for Palacio with Eder switching to the right flank...
Congrats to Mancini and all Nagatomo fans, Montoya officially moved to Real Betis, where they know about his qualities and will be given playing times as he deserve. sigh
This is nothing but a shame.Who couldn't see this coming? We drew Carpi, lost to Lazio, drew to Sassuolo and whole bunch of other horrible games one after another. Now good luck with fighting for a EL spot because I don't see that happening either.

Agree, shameful performance
The line up was wrong, the strategy was wrong and substitutes were wrong. Everything was horrible.
The only thing I was a lil happy about was the fact that we didn't stand with 11 men behind the ball defending and waiting for counter attacks opportunity, but apparently that is the only thing that we are capable of.sigh
hard to believe, i really thought they'd come back after going 1-0 down, specially against that Milan side and Donna being shaky... it was a disjointed performance and even with all those strikers on the field, they somehow couldn't get a goal? Milan looked more disciplined not clinical but more cool headed, Ljajic-Jojo-Peri were no show and Brozo-Mira-Santon had a horrible game... would've loved to see Palacio, Icardi, Nago and Melo in that starting lineup with maybe a 3-4-3 formation...

it's never any good when Mancini looses his cool, takes time for him to get back but ends up burning too many bridges... would be interesting to see how he does that as many have commented he has changed over the years.. perhaps a media silence would do Inter and Mancini some good in this though month for them...
^
"would've loved to see Palacio, Icardi, Nago and Melo in that starting lineup"....

Tell me you are not serious about this...
Palacio?? really?? the guy who forgot how to score since 2 seasons ago?!
Icardi who is too lazy nowadays ?
Nagatomo?????????Don't make me talk about this poor footballer again please...
Melo is the only one I would like to see from beginning though.
Palacio has been carrying this inter since his arrival, he has had a dip in physical ability after the world cup and his ankle injury but he still works hard and has a good head for the game, hence why Icardi is struggling this season... Icardi is still young and too reliant on others but there is no denying he has talent for goals... would've been interesting to see Palacio-Icardi-Eder instead of Ljajic-Jojo-Eder... Nago knows Honda well and would been able to keep up with Niang, Santon and Juan were all over the place, if you think Nago is that bad, what about Juan and Santon? honestly this inter team still lacks and i agree with Mancini, it needs at least 8 new signings to function properly... don't get me wrong, i'm still hoping Palacio and Nago will be released by the end of the season but I doubt inter can afford to replace them with better alternatives... looking at this inter, i would rate Handa, Icardi and Murillo the most high with follow up of Melo and Ljajic and even further down Telles and Miranda, lastly Brozo when he isn't out of breath half of the time...
I agree, Palacio has been an immense player for us, since signing. Last season he played a huge role in Icardi's goal-scoring form. Wish he has 8 years younger, apart from that our MF under-preformed and a our back-line, FBs especially need replacement. The first half of the season seemed like a fairy tail but know we've been brought back down to earth. This Inter side still needs loads of work. This is the reason why Mancini rotates constantly, he doesn't have guys that are adaptable, every game calls for a different skill set, most our guys don't possess many skill sets, which leaves Mancini with constant rotation.

about time! should give inters midfield some more muscle than Melo... can see them playing well with each other... also his experience will be much welcomed... too bad Klopp started using Lucas again in his starting line up, as he could've been also useful for inter with Melo and Banega if he were to come for the cheap...
Disappointing to hear Ramiers of Chelsea ended up being sold to club in China. I would have loved to see him at Inter, he would have added that energy we need to push the ball forward and he contribute a lot in defensive. Hell I would have offered him a loan deal with an option to sign. I don't think Chelsea would have been open to that but I think he would have taken the deal.

On the other hand the Chinese club bought him for 25mil which is an incredible piece of business for Chelsea. They probably offered him a crap ton of money to join.
So we signed Eder from Samp, glad to finally have another striker. Hopefully he can help us.
let's see if he can translate his scoring ability at Samp to Inter, been reading that Palacio might end up at China so he'll be hopefully a direct replacement for him...
I have just read your previous comments and I see that frustration has mounted! I can totally understand you given how many points we have lost with low and mid-table teams.

As for the transfer market, I believe Inter needs 3 players to bounce back to the top: a great striker (a complete striker, not just a finisher), a high-quality midfielder (like Draxler or Ozil) and a classy full-back (I like Bruno Peres of Torino).

Eder is a good signing btw
Right now, we can't attract world class players. We have to do with what we got and what we can get.We need UCL football next season because with that, you can attract loads of quality players looking for UCL football and first team minutes. We can build from their but at this point, we just need to make the top 3.
this could turn out to be a messy struggle for inter to keep third spot but since they only have one winger, not your c. ronaldo type of winger but more of a hard working wideman, and one midfield player a rate in the form of Melo... you'd hope Palacio and Eder could make a difference at this point of time... kondo is following the same career path of Guarin at inter and i miss the old jojo of viola that was reckless with defenders and charged at them with intensity, nowadays he wants to make it look pretty which 9 out of 10 won't work against defenders like chiel and bonuc...
Kondo is still young and can go from strength to strength but he needs minutes. Although the lack of attacking threats is what's going to hurt us this season. If Palacio can stay fit and in form, him and Eder can get the job done. I just Palacio's hard work, his immense.
I know, but Draxler wasn't considered world class one year ago
As much I rate Draxler, his a risk to spend big money on considering his injury proneness. I would rather have Lucas Lima, 25 years old with pace, skill, work rate and price tag won't be to high. Along with a CM who can replace Guarin, probably Roberto Soriano. He offers a lot more in attack and has great work-rate and really takes leadership in the middle of the park. He played well against us, when we played Samp earlier this season. If Medel is gone in the summer, I wouldn't mind stealing Sensi and convert Kondo to a DM role where I think he can really shine.

As for strikers, Eder would replace Palacio but if Icardi is sold during the summer, I want to see Lacazette. His speed along makes him a big asset but his much better dribbler and despite his size holds the ball up well to bring in other players from MF. I don't think his price tag will be as high as last season but I won't considering him cheap. Although I think Inter need attacking options that offer different abilities such as height, speed, finishing, workrate etc. Look at Juve with the options of Dybala, Morata and Mandzukic. I know were not on their budget but we need to structure this team to be able to offer more.
i'm surprised you guys didn't mention Vazquez and Perotti of Genoa, at this moment i'd take them instead of Jojo and Peri... Lacazette? if Icardi is sold then with a heart beat I'd go for Berardi and Bernad of Viola but with even Napoli playing hard ball with Gabbi, I doubt we could get them with the total sum of what Inter could sell for Icardi...
Mancini has had the huge fault of changing 2,000 line-ups. For example I believe he should insist on Kondogbia even though he has played under expectations (after all he has been an investment and an investment has to be assessed over time). Other than that it's not all black or white, he made more points than everyone expected.

Our biggest weakness is our total lack of creativity which is weird considering we signed Jovetic, Perisic and Ljajc to support Icardi but none of these four has delivered so far. This is the difference between us and Napoli: they have 2 or 3 game-changing players, we haven't. Just look at how many points Juve and Napoli do because of Dybala or Higuain. Then you would understand that there is a certain difference between them and Icardi. Plus we lack in quality on the midfield line. It's 100% impossible for a team winning a championship if they field Melo-Medel at the same time.
Ljajic and Jovetic are not out and out strikers, that's what were missing right now. We need a striker who can tag with Icardi or play up top as a lone man. We need someone who can better handle the ball at his feet because lord knows Icardi can't. The difference between us, Napoli and Juve are that both Napoli and Juve have an attacking force where we have hybrid attacking MFs and a finishing striker. That's it.
As English fans would say, Mancini f**k off...
He totally screwed up with the line-up and tactics.
the coppa is different to serie a, juve were a bit fortunate and had the likes of Cuad having a good game, keept his team up the field and troubled inters defence, even forced Ljajic and Bia to track back more which depleted their energy... overall it was a sloppy game, two goals that could've been avoided and mancini did put out a strong line-up whilst thinking about the derby...

looked like inter were caught up in two minds, looking for the break-away but wasting energy in tracking back after failing to do so... might have been different if this team had Isco on instead of Medel but you work with what you've got... maybe with Eder arriving soon, we could see some changes to the teams play... Milan are struggling themselves and will hope to play as underdogs against Inter on the wkend, if inter can put them in their place and send out a strong signal, they might be able to recover from this spell... this team needs only some self belief...
Tbh we looked good in the first 20 minutes. It was surprising because I thought Mancini was going to opted for a defensive team but it seems like he wanted to catch Juve early on the game. We played quick passing movement and controlled the MF, Juve looked lost at times but its a damn shame we didn't get a goal during that interval because that was the only time during the game where we had any control. After Juve settled, they took the MF and we couldn't handle it which resulted in those goals.
And we screwed up a free 3 points, forgetting about the fact that football is 90 mins plus extra time!! Also, Congrats for dropping to 4th place. This new trend will continue till end of the season.
if mancini was mad with Jojo after his last game, he must be furious with Icardi? who knew Peri had that kind of shot in him? if only he stopped with the oversteps and learned to drag the ball as Palacio does he could manage to open up some space for himself... also glad to see Palacio score again, he was easily man of the match, worked hard and played smart... at least Roma and Milan didn't take advantage of inters result and they're on level with the viola...
Well we were bound to drop some points or lose form at some point in the season, now the real pressure is on Mancini& the player because it's about how they respond to this losses/draws.

With only 5/6 days left of the window, surprised not to see no one come in. Mancini might bring 1 or 2 players with the teams current form.
well it's around that time when the season becomes complicated, however spaletti haven't had the desired impact Roma might have wished for so at this moment it'll be a 3 horse race between Viola-Inter-Milan for third spot, Juve has a larger squad and will be able to see off inter in this weeks match whilst Inter has the derby to think about, inter should play a really boring game and frustrate Juve, here is where Melo and Medel and the defence will come in handy... after that they have two must win games against Verona and Chievo that should set them up for a an all out battle with Viola... and if the team has any energy left then there are the Samp and the double Juve games... february month will be tough for inter, if they don't stay focused they might fall off and find themselves in 8-9 place in the league and out of coppa... at least Palacio seems to have gained some form, i haven't seen it yet but i'm hoping Peri-Icardi-Palacio and a midfield of Kondo-Medel-Melo might be what this team needs at this moment... and that Kondo can thrive under the guidance of Melo as Muri has under Mira...
