Generally when discussions concerning the transfer break start everyone argues whether it's better to invest on a newer CB, a striker etc...This year we are such in a terribile situation that I don't really have a specific player in mind I really hope we'll sign some prospects regardless their positions, be them defenders, midfielders, strikers etc...
i think moratti once said that you don't always get your purchases right, only about 60 % turn out to be good signings.
but i get what you mean, we're not any longer spoiled to pick who we want and get them but rather we'll have to make do with whatever we can get and hope for richer clubs don't look our way in the transfer department.

Mazzarri to Inter?! I am not sure. What I am sure is that with these group of players even SAF can't do anything....
lol! this reminds me of the Benitez era, we need to stick to a coach and follow through with his ideas! a coach that knows what he is talking about and can follow up on his promises... we can't afford to change coaches all to often! especially when each coach has his own ideas about the 'team'. the team we have right now is the result of; Gasp, Ranieri, Strama... yes the club has a clear idea about investing in youth and they're doing extremely well as evident by our youth however the first team needs a complete overhaul lol!
it's true what you said blacky, it's not the coach that's the problem it's the players... however we do need a coach that we could move forward with and bring in players that DON'T compliment the current crop of players but add value to our best players such as Handa, Kovacic second best players Guarin, Alvarez, Pereira and third best players Obi, Jesus, Ranocchia and in all honestly we only need 4-5 top signings that are at least as good as Handa and Kovacic, that way the youngsters could make up the numbers and be allowed to fight for a place, if they make the cut... GREAT if not, we could always use them as bargaining tools to get other Serie A players.
I would say stick with Strama or bring back either Mancini or Benitez and invest in these areas of the team:
RB, DM, CM, Winger, Striker.
We would need a RB-Better than Periera, DM-A link between Guarin and Kovacic, CM-better than or equaly as good as Guarin, Winger-Markovic?-Ljajic? young talented winger, Winger-Sanchez? at least one major signing that could be the star of the team. ST-One that is at least as good as Milito, reliable and proven to get at least 20 goals a season?

Totally agree.. I am not sure whether Mazzarri is better than Strama or if it's the other way round but I mind much more about our team players next year. There's too much talk about the coach I think whilst this team must be cleansed and rebuilt from 0. Also I would favorably see some changes at our management level
except for those responsible for the youth development we've done poorly at a management level, i think the management overestimated the current team and was hoping it could last a bit longer, long enough for the inter youth to step up and claim a first team place, however... where as Milan had a great transfer campaign even splashed out money on Balo... after selling Zlatan and Silva! they've done well. I actually envy their two signings of Monto and Balo! they even got rid of Pato and bet on Sharaawy!?! lol, whereas we've managed to lose Motta, Sneijder, Lucio, Maicon, Coutinho and Julio Cesar and we didn't get any money near what they would've gone for a couple of years ago!?!?!?!?!
Napoli have also done well by slowly and methodically building a good team from 0. then they were fortunate with Hamsik and Cavani but they build a good team around those... they've done their homework. as for Roma, they've flopped with their purchases but so did Juve in the beginning but then they had the money to rebuild again with Marotta and this time it worked and if they get their transfer targets right for next season, they could dominate serie A for awhile.
i think moratti has three choices: invest on players that we could afford and keep our current squad as it is and take a gamble for next season. nr 2; sacrifice one or two of our top players and land a couple decent players with a bright future and take a gamble on them. nr 3; get some investers rebuild the team from 0.

with so much talk about the change of coach has anyone noticed the bid of 51 procent share for the club made to mr morratti? it looks like someone seriously wants to invest in Inter but won't do that without getting a large share of it lol!
perhaps moratti can convince them to invest equaly as much and get less share :P in that case, what next? because inter can't afford to have the same outcome next season... i don't envy mr moratti right now.

what a season, 9th place? at least i'll be able to look forward to the 'media circus' as strama put it; in his interview he did hint at moratti having a look at the coach, directors and staff... could we in for a total revolution or just a few tweaks to lay for the future foundation of inter? an Inter that is aiming for a top three? or a scudetto competitive squad? much of it will hing on what is in the bank... what i would give to see our budget lol.
wish strama all the best as in the next few days... as the type of coach we're moving forward with will be a huge indicative of how our transfer campaign will fold.

lol We took a beating today. I have never been so disinterested in watching Inter Milan matches. I really hope we buy star players.
After all this, I cant wait to see what happens during the transfer window. Ill be happy if we bag at least Icardi. Everyone else would be a plus. As for strama, I would at least give him the start of the season to see if can succeed with a full stock of players just like the first half of the last season.
well, Di Natale with a great goal. Would be nice if an inter player could score a goal like that.
I read a story that Ranocchia might be sold to Juventus. If that happens, the entire Inter board should lose there jobs. On what planet do you sell your best defender to your most hated rival?

here is hoping for a good game tonight and hopefully WITHOUT any injurys! also keep an eye on Basta, heard he is being considered for the role of RB.
Finally the worst season in Serie A history for Inter is coming to an end. I'm really looking forward to seeing what moves they will make during the summer market. I think there's no way in hell Inter should sell Handanovic to Barcelona, much less for Montoya, Bartra or Song. I consider Handanovic to be one of the greatest goalkeepers in the world. It's not his fault that Inter's defense sucked this season. I'm sure Barcelona feel the same way and that's why they're gunning for him.
They already had a great early start in the market by acquiring Campagnaro and R. Botta at zero cost. They'll be two great additions to a bruised and battered Inter side. Know I just hope they learned their lesson from last couple of years and keep their young talents. They need to bring back Longo, Duncan and Livaja. They have to keep Mbaye, Benassi, Spendlhofer, Pasa, Olsen and Garritano in the first team and give them a chance to shine.
It's the beginning of a new era for Inter and in order to have have space for some new blood, they have to get rid of some old scars. I think Rocchi, Chivu, Stankovic and Samuel should gracefully bow out or be sold to another team. They did way more harm than good to Inter this last season by never being able to get healthy and contribute on the pitch. They're just taking up space on the first team roster.
As for other players coming in, I don't think they should go crazy and spend a lot of money. It would be great if they could sign Sanchez or Markovic, but both players are way too expensive and have publicly expressed that Inter wouldn't be their first choice if they left their current clubs. I think the first step should be resigning Gargano from Napoli. He was one of the few players that came in and made an immediate difference. After that, they should work on finishing the deal for Andreolli, who would be a great addition to the defense along with Campagnaro. They should also take Cap Zanetti's advice and sign Perruzi. He's been saying publicly for years now that Peruzzi would be the perfect heir. And WHO at Inter can refuse the words of the Eternal Captain. It would be great if he could have him under his wing for a year before he decides to retire.
If they let go of Mariga and Stankovic, they will need another solid physical midfielder. I believe the best choice for Inter would be Nainngolan. He's an awesome player, very physical and already tested in Serie A. They could get him for 6 - 7 million and fill that spot, without having to spend 20 million for Markovic. After that, they can just resign Cassano and get Weiss from Pescara at zero cost who is a young and talented offensive midfielder.
The biggest decision that Inter will have to make is deciding who will be the manager next season. I think Stramaccioni did all that he could with what was available to him, but I don't think he's ready to shine in Serie A. Signing Mazzari would be the best option. It wouldn't only make Inter a better team, but it would also create all sorts of turmoil in Napoli if he and Cavani leave. I believe that if he has a successful year managing Inter, he could probably convince Hamsik to join him for his second year.
INTER X SEMPRE!!! FORZA NERAZZURRI!!!

i like the idea of Markovic and Sanchez as wingers for Inter as both of them can easiky fit into a 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 formation as either wingers or second-strikers, which would be great to have as they would be direct replacements for Cassano and Palacio... who aren't getting any younger. I don't know about Camp and Andreo, are they better than Rancho and Juan? or are them more of a replacement for either two of these players; chivu, samuel and silvestre?
I'm not sure about Naingolan, i actually infact like Mudingaye more and that says a lot. I'm not neither convinced by Weiss, he is a good player and has some potential but he'll need a couple of more years before he is a finished product or close to it, i would rather go for Illicic! he is of similar type of player like Alvarez but he has become more used to Serie A and proven he can be more reliable.
why is everyone concerned with the RB? we have Jonathan, Schello, Nagatomo... who can all play in that position besides some of the primavera are coming back like for instance Donati? I've never seen Perruzzi but if we're gonna sell Jonathan and Nago, then i could understand the need to go for a PURE fullback and not a winger!
as Mazzi, yes his napoli team has done well and has improved a great deal but was it down to him? is he responsible for all the success? will he be able to do better with current crop of players available to inter right now, than what strama would? or does mazzi also need 're-inforcements?' and are those more of 'cheap-mediocre-just-to-get-by-and-make-the-coach-happy-type-of-players?' who would cost money, take up space in the team and force the club to pay their salaries without contributing anything to the team!?! i would say, give strama ONE more year and get rid of some of the older players because the idea of introducing young players gradually to an already older team who has won the treble, ISN'T CLEARLY WORKING! lol don't even buy big star players but keep along the lines of players like Kovacic... young proven talents who could adapt easily to serie A! i mean the worst that could happen is we get relegated to Serie B next season because of to many unproven youngsters but i believe we either do it full heartedly and have just few really great youngsters like; Markovic, Icardi, Kovacic add some decent players like Illicic, Alvarez, Botta, a new DM and get A player of high caliber like Sanchez, Fabregas, Modric or Mario Gomez as this team would need a star player both for market revenue and someone to take the spotlight away from the youngsters... as for the backline, you really can't have unproven youngsters running wild there but two new CB that could compliment Juan and Ranoch, Andreo and Camp would do that but i would then say perhaps another exciting talented defender?
besides if we do sell Ranoch, Guarin, Handa... we could easily get 20+20+30=70 and if we push for the price to go up 25+20+35=80? then we'll need to be smart about how we invest that money or we could be in a lot of trouble if we sell our best players and we end up with worse players and 80 mil euros down lol.
