What's the story with you guys picking up Dodô from Roam?
And on loan????
dodo has been a player of interest to inter long before he joined roma, there was an opportunity for him to join us after roma showed interest in peri but roma instead opted for cole and emanuel so inter took advantage of the fact of dodo being surplus at roma and him fitting into the tactics of WM, basically he filled in the room left by Wallace, another loane... and then of course you have the current financial state of serie A and fifas ffp...
with suarez officially signing for arsenal, i hope thohir targets pedro and makes him his big signing of the summer, credit to ausi for signing players on almost empty breifcase and promises of future payments but i'd take pedro over jojo specially since city are asking for something in the region of 25? i would guess... i really rate this kid higher than sanchez and neymar and if their was an opportunity, inter could bargain with barca and offer him a contract he is happy with, it would be awesome seeing him wear the inter shirt, can't believe he'll settle for the bench when he is capable of so much more!
One big name that's in his prime years would be a sweet thing for Thohir to do just to get the fans going and look forward too in the future. Thohir said loads of things and now its time to live up to those promises because that fans expect more form the future. If I was Thohir I would push for Pedro on a loan move possibly with an option to sign but I want Inter to go for what they want not what they can settle for.
Barca's board announced that Pedro is not for sale, so I dont think it will happen.
he is almost like the perfect sub, too bad that he'll settle for that role, then again there aren't that many clubs that could offer him that type of contract and environment as barca and he does get his chances... enough to include him into the spain set up, regular participation in the cl and the usual trophy or two of the season... still what a player!
if anyone is wondering what kova is up during his holidays.... well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fJIHTsQIho let's just hope he doesn't go and injure himself while trying to pull of more daring stunts!

read that maz is asking for Illaramendi, made my day when i came across it! illa has keeping caso on the bench and is one of the reasons why caso didn't shine so much last season, yes caso is more energetic but illa only has to work on his physic and hone his skill a bit more, that'll come with more playing time... would be more worth to spend 12 on him rather than what real are asking for caso, just imagen a future midfield of rabiot-kova-illa?
+2
There is no way Inter can cough up 49 million to pay for him. In my opinion, he is one of the least likely targets Inter have been linked to all summer.
real always does this, overpays for young talents and then later on sell them on for fraction of their purchase, last one i can recall was canales... considering they're targeting ramires, vidal, kroos and veratti, they might look to offload some players and illa could join us in the same price range as hernanes...
Casemiro for 12mil???? I must be missing the joke here? Casemiro is an undisciplined footballer from what I heard about his days at Sao Paulo, he might be energetic and all but the kid is an off and on kind of player who still has a long way to go.

Illarramendi played as a good cover for Alonso when he was out injured and put on decent performances. If his being sold for 12mil then I'd say go for him but I don't see why Real would actually let him go without a buy-back clause on him or loaning him out to a different lower la liga team rather then sell him to Inter after signing him last summer for 30mil+. Despite the big names they've been mentioned with Madrid they do rate Illar very highly.
with the way wm has been speaking before season, he intends to get the most out of this squad and with the senators gone, he might command a bit more in the dressing room, let's see how thngs will work out for him... and i could see why a player like caso wouldn't be welcome or why perhaps, if it's true, he hesitated with m'vila...

as for illa, if inter can offer to purchase him for more than what other big teams are offering and agree on the buy-back clause set at lower than what inter are purchasing him for... it could tempt them, that way if real do buy him back then inter will be only technically paying for the 'loan' however for it to be in favour of inter, it has to have an expiray date the buy-back clause and afterwards for real to have first option in signing him back if another team comes with an offer real are willing to match, besides real can certainly afford any amount any other team could offer... if not, inter can include a discount for real or for them to get a percentage of the sale... also here is where thohirs connection with real comes into play...
Most buy-back clauses have at max a 4 year expiration period and if Real do buy him back then so be it but for now would love to see what he can muster at Inter, his a player who can put on a good shift and with more minutes at Inter who knows what and how far he'll progress with more games equals more confidence and as a CM his defensive aspect of his game will only grow at Serie A and it would be good for him. Although nothing is official yet, lets wait and see.
What do you guys think about the new Inter logo and jersey? Personally I like the new jersey but I've seen a lot of resistance from Inter fans on Facebook about the new jersey. Is it merited?
+1
you could see that nike is getting their money's worth, the shirt looks to highlight the nike logo... our logo looks the same but just less clustered and neater, the shirt will look good on the players but fans will find it difficult to wear as it's tight fit, unless your in shape, you better get a larger size than normal!
+1
I personally love it. The black with small blue stripes make it look sleek. I can understand why the fans would dislike due to the fact that it has much less blue compared to previous kits.
I dont really like it either. Is there a white one yet? I havent seen it. Looking forward to that
It looks nice actually, really well done by Nike, it might have less blue but its looks sharp!
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-gary-medel-shock-7351960

Gary Medel would be a massive signing for Inter. Not only can he drop back as a make shift CB but is a natural DM tidy man who possess lots of speed, strength and vision for breaking down plays despite the fact that his only 5'7 1/2 feet tall. He could be Inter's other option then signing the over priced Luiz Gustavo. I mean Medel was just so damn impressive during the WC, his just such a beast on the field.
+1
the only downside with medel is that we'd need another type of player similar to him that can also play at cb and we could only field one of herna or kova... much like how france played with mutuidi and pogba with cabaye but instead of two offensive dm's we'd need two defensive dm's with medel... rather that kid rabiot seems exciting, kinda reminds me of yaya, and it doesn't hurt that in serie a his defensive abilities will only increase... with him and hernanes and m'vila playing behind them it could be a midfield that works... you could even keep alvarez, instead sell palacio, play him as second striker and push kova into am... but this market keeps throwing curv balls, at the start didn't expect we might get m'vila and now i'm reading about dodo!? and we're again being linked with lucas of liverpool? it's been exciting and with maz finally getting to see the players at training, we might even start to see some players leaving soon...
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12040/9372721/transfer-news-psgs-adrien-rabiot-is-refusing-to-extend-his-contract

This is great news actually if Rabiot wants more minutes and if the club can show him and sell him that he is part of the growing future of Inter he will come for sure. It really sounds to me like he wants playing time and Roma and Juve's MF who his been linked with are packed with stars but Inter, now Inter can give him minutes. If Inter manage to get him his defense ability like you said will increase and he will learn to play that CM/DM role while also Medal can not only play DM but also can drop back as a CB. Having a MF of M'Vila/Hernanes/Raboit/Medel/Kova while keeping Alvarez and playing Kova in a more advanced position it can work while players like Guarin, Palacio or even Handa leave I'd be ok with that and having a talented MF like that with not only quality but depth within the quality that allows Inter to change their formation with ease. Hell if Inter sell Handa I'd push for free agent and World Cup GK extraordinaire Guillermo Ochoa.
he'll probably recall what juve did for pogba and that could influence his decision and then you have garcia at roma but at inter he'd still have to compete with kova and herna and maz does like his 3 man at the back... inter could get some good cash if they sell those three players but seeing as bardi just went out on loan and half of the globe will be interested in ochoa and we still haven't signed any striker we could still see palacio and handa at inter next season... i'm not a fan of medel, kinda reminds me of gargano and i can see why maz likes him, a destroyer type, that is good at chasing down opponents, a good back up and could easily help out at defence when the back 3 are outnumbered... we've also now been linked with pato and depay so i can't really tell at what direction ausi is taking the team... if the team sold nago, jonathan, palacio and guarin then perhaps we could see some new exciting players at inter much like rabiot and other talents but seeing no one is willing to pay the price inter are asking for... well it'll be hard to replace them with talents just as good as them since they cost more than those players true value! then again crisetig, mbaye, khrin, laxalt and schello are back at the club and perhaps this year could be bottas turn to explode on the scene, at least that's something to look forward to...
What's Raiola offering Balo to Juve for? seriously what did he expect? is it just to get his clients name in the newspaper or piss Milan off? Had he come to our team, he would've suited us great, just a bit difficult imagining a team with M'Vila, Balo and Icardi lol! the havoc it could create on-field and off-field! too bad about Song and Lamela being out of reach for us, Xhaka and M'Vila seem the most viable but Xhaka isn't exactly a finished product and it'll take some time before he reaches his full potential, to me he seems much like the same player as Guarin is but perhaps a bit more room to be better than Guarin if he develops accordingly, but seeing as Maz will get a new contract and he is asking for the player... he'd be a better choice than Behrami and if Taider fails to move to Rubin, I honestly don't know which player would be better between M'Vila and Xhaka... haven't taken notice of Silva, Astori and Mustafi whom we've been linked with in Serie A but if Low can warrant a place for Mustafi then he must be good? this other kid in Valencia, Bernat, seems like a good alternative just can't believe they'd offer Guarin for a swap! rather why not then Parejo + Bernat for Guarin!?!... also Ausi seems to be pushing for Casemiro, better than Mbia but what worries me is that if Ancelloti isn't so fond him then how good will he be in Serie A?
Pareja + Bernat for Guarin? I like that idea especially considering Guarin is wanted man by other clubs and Valenica CF are struggling financially and don't have funds to buy good players. Pareja and Bernat I've seen both and especially Bernat, very talented young player who is an attack minded LB.

I doubt Borussia Mochengladbach are going to let Inter get a sniff of Xhaka whatsoever. His a very young talented player and he might not have matured just yet but his shown his more then capable of stepping up to the occasion when he needs to but tbh I'd rather see a more experienced player. Also Casemiro? Very bad idea. Casemiro might have flashes of talent but I've heard this guy has an awful attitude, doesn't work hard enough and poor fitness levels. Mazz should be looking for better talents that play consistently not Casemiro. Inter aren't a club next season looking to develop more players like Xhaka or Casemiro, they need players that can make an impact now.

If Inter complete the move for M'Vila and push for Bernat + Pareja for Guarin. Next I would make a move for Vargas on loan from Napoli who's now at Valencia CF. His such a good player who can make an impact on the wing or play up top with Icardi since Lamela is not going to happen. I'd consider a CB as well, one who can cover for injury prone Vidic. Kotas Monlas has been an excellent CB for Grecce, plays for Olympiacos and can even fight for a starting place.
I'd throw in Peri as a good measure! would almost be a re-do of our previous purchase of Guarin and Peri, although i doubt Valencia would release Parejo that easily, not when they value Bernat as much as Guarin, I don't mind not seeing Xhaka in our team, not for that price they're demanding... I believe there's bad blood between Maz and Vargas! honestly, from what I've read, much of the purchases will depend on who leaves the club and the kind of money that is available, even M'Vila is willing to lower his wage.. was tempted when I read about Icardi and Handa for 45 from At. Madrid but then I read Pogba being valued 80 Mil by juve! almost made me question why I thought it would be a good idea to sell Kova if Madrid offered 30... I've only been impressed by Indi and Rojo of Argetina but Indi just signed for Porto and I doubt we can afford Rojo, I'll watch the Greece game later tonight and see if Monlas is really a player to get excited about...
Really? bad blood between Vargas and Mazz? Bummer! Really hoped they made a move for him. I still want to see a forward/winger who can play up top with Icardi but like you said it depends all on who leaves and the money available. M'vila needs a salary cut, I hear he earns 4.5mil a season from Rubin Kazan but I'm hearing that M'Vila's deal is a loan deal with an option to buy, so Inter can worry about buying him out next summer so not much money lost there. Inter need one good FB, if they can push Juan Jesus to FB and Inter have D'Ambro, bring back Briaghi and with Bernat its going to be good to go with Naga and Johnathan heading out the door. Inter are going to be priced out for Rojo I think.
Remember reading something about how Vargas found it difficult under Maz in Napoli, being frustrated with lack of playing time and so forth, M'Vila deal sounds great, reduced salary and a transfer fee pushed back a year to test him out in the team... hope it goes through and that it doesn't become another wallace loan... if we play Juan as FB and bring back Biraghi, then there really is no need for Bernat or any other fullback? Inter have already said good bye to their aging stars now only if Inter manage to off-load some of their sub-pair stars, like Nago, Jonathan and Kuz and give their youth a chance, the club could save some money and really test their youth for their worth, it's getting tiresome to read that every club in italy are randsoming inter's youth for their over-priced players and eventually one of those youth make it big, like with Bonucci and Destro and we can't afford to buy them back, whilst stuck with players we've over paied for... it looks like we really have to sell in order to buy, players like Icardi, Handa, Kova, Alvarez and Guarin are our main stars but they're not delivering or aren't themselves enough to fill the gap that is between us and the teams above us in the table... Napoli and Roma have invested well with their transfer money and now I'm reading Benatia is going for some ridicolous money and the same for Higuain after delivering for their clubs, enough money to buy the next big star and make them into priced players... perhaps Inter should look into that and not only think about players that can deliver in the immediate future but also grow in their reputation and price... we've manage so far with Kova and Icardi but perhaps it's time we sold Handa and Guarin but kept Alvarez for at least two more years, he is just getting good at Inter, would be foolish to release him when his price is increasing steadily and had his breakthrough with us last season...
Alvarez was playing excellently in the first half of last season and his form dipped massively in the second half because he was barely getting an minutes which makes a player very rusty. Although Alvarez is a promising player who deserves another season to prove himself and I really believe in this guy and what he brings to the table. Handa is a such a boss GK and Inter are in good hands when his in the box not to mention his saved Inter a number of times but I really don't think Inter are going to let him walk for any price.

It depends on what Mazz's formation next season, what formation his planning to use.
sacrificing Guarin and Alvarez to get in players that are compatible with Maz formation? looks like a summer of Biabiany/Ibarbo/Cerci and Behrami... they're capable of getting the job done but I wouldn't expect us to beat teams like Napoli, Roma and Juve with them let alone europe...

seriously I wouldn't mind us finishing in mid-table as long as we released some of the players that have reached their full potential with inter, obviously they'd offer more security than the youngsters out on loan but I'd sell Handa, Guarin and use that money to bring a DM and a MC to and give a chance to our youngsters and if possible get 1-2 players with similar quality and potential as Kova and Icardi, perhaps a striker and a wingback?... rebuild the team from scratch, using the best players we have and our youth and adding potential stars, it's not like we'll be seeing Dzeko, Lamela, Marchisio and Gustavo in our team anytime soon, so why not give that a go? if it's about us desperately holding out for a 3rd spot, we're done for, specially when there is this huge gap between us and top 3... even fiorentina along with Milan will probably do better next season!
The thing I want to see more consistent wins better football from Inter overall. Top 3 doesn't really matter at this point because Inter is far away from that squad wise. I mean look at Milan, they were crap last season but that's because they didn't play their cards right and they brought in the wrong people for the job and Fiorentina only need a few signings but their squad is already a force to be reckoned with considering Rossi should be back next season. With Inter the whole last squad was a complete and utter mess, no balance whatsoever. Starting from scratch and building on what you have know is the best way to start.
since the club doesn't have any money, i fear it'll try to build on whatever players they have and add to it from what they can get... however it's been nice to read that we've been linked to some new kids that i haven't heard about, for instance kranevitter, lanzini, bernat and rabiot but they won't probably come cheap... except for that the purchase formula seem to be loan with option to buy, hope at least that the M'Vila and Jovetic deals go through...
So in this short while, Thohir has gotten $200 Million under his name from Goldman Sachs and used it to cancel all of Inter's debts. Now I am hearing he has acquired another $30 million investment into Inter from South East Asia.

So far he seems to be doing a great job, especially with issues concerning Inter's finances. I only hope that translates into transfers. We need great players, at least ones that know what they are doing on the field.
if going by tranfer news, m'vila seem to be the best bet but i think his transfer is linked to taider somehow? also his story is similar to paulinho... but from what i can remember of seeing him play for france before... he kinda reminds me of Guarin a bit... so i'm not sure if he'll be a hit for us... also worrying to read his off-field problems with shaktar and the france team... Ausi just said Suarez is impossible, never seen the guy play before so i can't comment on him and jovetic seem to be out of the question, honestly for all the trouble Balo causes off-field, Jovetic hasn't even come close to replicating Balos impact in the BPL... so we're not really missing out on jovetic... however lately we've been linked with Song and with M'vila on the team, those two powerhouses could do well in Maz's formation, both are good with the ball on their feet and have the physic to do well in those roles, along with Herna it could be a formidable midfield... the only downside would be that there is no room for Guarin and Alvarez in that team... and Kova would have to be forced to compete with Herna and Palacio for a spot in the starting line-up... the dream is Marchisio, Gustavo and Lamela but Lamela, M'Vila and Song, doesn't sound so bad... a formation of 4-1-2-1-2 could balance a team with Herna and Kova as starters...

Icardi-Lamela

Kova

Hernanes-M'Vila

Song

FB-CB-CB-FB

obviously keeping Alvarez and Botta could add more depth to the team and give them a chance to play differently... just don't ask me where inter will get the money for the transfers and their wages or how to convince Maz to play that formation :P!
Looks like the Yann M'Vila move is going to happen. http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2014/yann-mvila-inter-medical-postponed/

On the other hand I don't know how credible that article is but I also heard it's a loan deal with an option to buy. Interesting move.
i wonder if guarin will get a chance to start today? im also curious to see osako in action, heard he is rated highly and that he used to scores goals for fun in j-league before moving to 1860... also dream about what it would be like to have cuadrado and rodriguez at inter!
He did a good job, played a role of DM actually. Led a number of counter attacks at the DM position. He played really well.
+1
that kid rodriguez though! aside from him, guarin comes alive mostly sitting infront of the attack but is suited on the RM position of a 4-3-3 formation... too bad that there is just no place for him in the formation Maz likes to play...

read that if Guarin is sold there might be a 'star' coming to inter, unless he is a RW that is at least as good at defending as Alvarez and better than him in attack then there really is no point in selling Guarin... definately no to cerci, osvaldo and even Martinez whom we've been linked with if anything and if possible I'd say Cuadrado, he could be the next Bale! easily adapting from a wingback to a winger...
