We've been looking good! Well, other than that Lazio game, but we're still figuring things out. I've enjoyed the transformation to a 4-3-3 under Montella, but I think it's obvious that we have the squad for a 3-5-2, especially after the Udinese game. Maybe with the right rotation, we can run both formations based on the opponent. Who knows.

About Montella however... since this forum (website really) is pretty dead, I've been getting fan interaction from other social media, and I gotta say the impatience with Montella among the fanbase is ridiculous! Hell, after that Lazio game, I heard fans wanting him out!? The man brought us back to Europa with a squad that didn't deserve it... he should at least get time to work this project! When we fired Miha for Montella, I wasn't on board and didn't feel like he was going to be an improvement over Mihajlovic. He's proved me wrong so I'm with him for at least the season and see how he does...

That said, there are improvements that need to be made. I know he's trying to figure out his lineup, but there has been too much rotation going on too early; find some stability first. Andre Silva and Calhanoglu have proven that they should be playing every game. In 5 official games (not counting qualifiers), Silva has started 1 game and subbed on another? That's crazy... And I understand defending a lead, but in games where we are dominating the tempo of the game (like the Udinese game) we need to get out of the small team mentality and continue to attack to kill off the game! Hopefully these small changes are made otherwise unnecessary problems could arise.
Hakan and Andre Silva are gelling quite nicely
Calhanoglu is everything that Honda was suppose to be and more! Love him. He provides a ton of creativity in the midfield and even puts in the hard work in tracking back and defending. Will easily be a fan favorite soon enough!

Andre Silva is a very smart striker, with his runs and positional awareness to his forward partner. He plays way beyond his years and if given proper game time, could be challenging for the Capocannoniere. Here's hoping!
Honestly, just popped up to say that I am very optimistic about this coming season. I feel like it will be our best in while, and here's to hoping it will be.

So, let's wait together and see this season unfold. As always Forza Milan!
I agree. I had a hard time trying to watch Milan games the past couple of years; now I drop everything I'm doing and watch every game that comes on! Been super excited!
Europa League draw was today and this is the group we're in:

GROUP D:
AC Milan
AEK Athens
FK Austria Wein
HNK Rijeka

Interesting group, but we should be able to make it to the knockout stage, if not win the group outright. Fortunately, the traveling isn't awful (Greece, Austria, Croatia) so there really shouldn't be any excuses from coming out of the group on top. Looking forward to a good campaign!

Also, something hilarious happened today:
When asked if he was an Interista, Thorir (Inter's president) responded by saying "He's been an Inter fan since the club bought the Dutch trio"... xD

^ I read that too, smh...

Thank god he isn't majority owner anymore, truly embarrassing.
I know KF Shkendija wasn't suppose to pose a real threat, but man what a dominant performance by Milan! So many praises to be thrown around but I'll keep it short:

1. Andre Silva looked fantastic! Perfect display of holdup play and position awareness. Even showed great strength for his 2nd goal. While he looked great, I think we'd still be asking a lot from him to be our no.1 striker so I'm hoping we bring in a experienced striker before the window closes.
2. Kessie is a f*****g workhorse. Dude was all over the pitch today, breaking up any semblance of an attack, coupled with great distribution from him. He should be racking in a lot of accolades at the end of the season; he's remarkable!
3. Bonucci wasn't asked to do a lot, but man did he look great with the captain's armband! Loved the pre-kickoff huddle he did; you could tell it really pumped up the team.
4. Speaking of armbands, Montolivo actually looked good out there for a change. Granted, it was lesser competition, but still, maybe the weight of the armband has held him down all these years. Maybe he still can contribute to this new Milan...
5. Calhanoglu is the playmaking midfielder we've been missing for years. Not only for his creativity, but he's also not afraid to track back and go hard into tackles. Just the grinta we needed!
6. And everyone else that played look good too!

Safe to say we're in for the Europa League group stages, but nothing official until next week. Hope Bonaventura's injury isn't too bad, we'll definitely need him for this month. So looking forward to playing Crotone this weekend!

1) I have high hopes when it comes to Andre
2)Kessie will prove to be our signing of the summer.
3) Bonucci offers more than just playing on the pitch. He's a leader, and we needed that.
4)I have always said that Montolivo performs his best as a box to box midfielder, eversince the days where Ambro was behind him back in the 2012-2013 season.
5) Hakan needs more time to adapt, but I like him.
6) Agreed
Cutrone looks very promising.
Yup, I know ton of people who've followed the youth academy and have been saying he's one of the top guys to come out of there. Hopefully we keep him around for the long term, along with Locatelli and Calabria; they are special talents for sure!

Transfer updates:

- Bonucci has officially been revealed as a Milan player. We paid 42m for him, but with De Sciglio moving to Juventus for 12m, we essentially got him for 30m. Bargain. His contract runs through 2022 and he'll be making 8.5m a season, the highest paid player in Italy.

- As said, De Sciglio officially moves to Juventus for 12m. Good business seeing as his contract would've ended next summer and was not wanting to renew. I hope he does fulfill his potential though.

- We're still in the market for a top name striker, with the three biggest targets being Aubameyang, Moratta, and Belotti. Moratta has officially moved to Chelsea for 60m, while Aubaemyang has been taken off the market by Dortmund unless an offer for 100m comes in, leaving us with Belotti and potentially some other unnamed targets.

- Belotti has been pushing for a move to Milan, his childhood club, and Milan are trying to bring him, despite Torino's demand for 100m. Milan's latest offer has been 60m + Niang + Paletta, which should amount to about 75m. I think it's smart Milan trying to negotiate instead of meeting their demands, and the offer they've put up seems like a good deal for all parties involved. Time will tell if Torino will accept...

- If Milan fail to bring a top name striker, the alternative is believed to be Kalinic from Fiorentina, who's currently on standby for Milan after announcing his want to move to Milan.

If you guys get Belotti this would top it as the best transfer this summer. Hell I would already say it is but Belotti would be the icing on the cake. With him you can really challenge Juve.

Exciting times ahead.

Same, man... Same
Transfer updates again...

- Andrea Conti has finally signed! After what seemed like the longest saga ever, especially under this new management. We signed him for roughly 20m, which includes the sales of Luca Vido & Matteo Pessina from our youth academies, although there are rumored buy-back clauses and sell-on fees.

- Haven't spoke much about players leaving (due to all the excitement of new players) but Kucka has also officially left for 4m to Trabzonspor. Thanks Kucka for everything, really did appreciate what you gave to Milan the past two years! Shame you won't get to enjoy the spoils of the new Milan though...

- Other sales include Diego Lopez to Espanyol for 1m and Andrea Poli on a free to Bologna. Lapadula also agreed on a loan to Genoa. The loan will cost them 2m with an option to buy for 11m. Loved Lapadula's energy and enthusiasm, but he's close to his prime and needs all the minutes to compete for a spot on the World Cup roster. Best of luck Lapa, hope you come back some day though!

- And finally, the BIG kicker, Bonucci has practically agreed to a move to Milan! Milan is willing to match the 40m fee Juventus is demanding, while also potentially selling De Sciglio for 15m to them, so basically be like we bought him for 25m! A top 3 CB in the world! Magnificent job by the management; they really aren't f*****g around, are they!? We strengthening our defense TREMENDOUSLY while weakening Juve as well! Gotta love it! No offense to Roma or Napoli, but they were never gonna compete for the Scudetto... this season we're really gonna give Juve a run for their money!
