What a run we're having! 12 matches unbeaten! And it's GATTUSO leading this charge! I'm straight up amazed; of all the former players to come coach, I wouldn't have thought Gattuso would've been capable of this. He not only has the players playing with more "grinta" like himself, but everyone seems super comfortable with the ball and with each other. And Patrick Cutrone man... what a f*****g player. I think we have our next Milan legend in the works... it's magical to see Pippo's style reincarnated in him!

As of now, we're just 8 points out of a Champions League spot... that amazes me considering the awful start to the season we had. Now, I'm not trying to get too ahead of myself... we still have a tough 6 games in 18 days upcoming, including Lazio (2nd leg of Coppa), Inter, and Arsenal twice in the EL knockouts... but man has Gattuso got me believing again. FORZA MILAN!

well I've said could this be the man AC Milan is looking for? sure he had some hiccups in the beginning few games but now slowly he's transforming this team solidly, really hope you guys back to UCL and bring back the glory day of Italia football...
Milan is having a great session under Gatusso so far and I'm loving it! Cutrone is playing like a boss! The team is gelling and hope we can hold onto our good payers!
1 step forward...2 steps back :(
The banter era lives on... Thanks for the short-lived optimism, Milan
Montella sacked & replaced by Gattuso (club legend), could this be the man? Well I hope it is, with his never say die attitude and old soldier of Milan. I know Inzaghi & Seedorf has a short stint before and wasn't doing very well, is just like the same scenario we have with Ferrera before we bring in Conte (and the rest is history).
Welcoming AC Milan back to the old days.
I don't get it? Izaghi didn't work, Seedorf didn't either why bring in another ex player? What Milan need is an experienced manager who can help build this brand new Milan side that need a direction. I can see Gattuso in the coaching staff but Idk as a manager. Maybe he proves us wrong but I just don't get this appointment.
I agree Moe66. I love Rino, but being thrusted into this position is not ideal and he'll eventually be escorted out like the previous two legends. It's sad. And while we needed to get rid of Montella (he was downright awful with the new squad; was given plenty of opportunities), Gattuso wasn't the right replacement. If it was up to me, Milan will have to put all their eggs into the Europa League if they want to be in Champions League next season; the top 4 spots are long and away for us now...

We've been looking good! Well, other than that Lazio game, but we're still figuring things out. I've enjoyed the transformation to a 4-3-3 under Montella, but I think it's obvious that we have the squad for a 3-5-2, especially after the Udinese game. Maybe with the right rotation, we can run both formations based on the opponent. Who knows.

About Montella however... since this forum (website really) is pretty dead, I've been getting fan interaction from other social media, and I gotta say the impatience with Montella among the fanbase is ridiculous! Hell, after that Lazio game, I heard fans wanting him out!? The man brought us back to Europa with a squad that didn't deserve it... he should at least get time to work this project! When we fired Miha for Montella, I wasn't on board and didn't feel like he was going to be an improvement over Mihajlovic. He's proved me wrong so I'm with him for at least the season and see how he does...

That said, there are improvements that need to be made. I know he's trying to figure out his lineup, but there has been too much rotation going on too early; find some stability first. Andre Silva and Calhanoglu have proven that they should be playing every game. In 5 official games (not counting qualifiers), Silva has started 1 game and subbed on another? That's crazy... And I understand defending a lead, but in games where we are dominating the tempo of the game (like the Udinese game) we need to get out of the small team mentality and continue to attack to kill off the game! Hopefully these small changes are made otherwise unnecessary problems could arise.
People also have to realize you guys are basically a whole new team. You guys bought 7-8 players, which are mostly starters. It takes a while for the team to build up its chemistry. But ones that happens, I’m sure you guys will start performing day and day out
Hakan and Andre Silva are gelling quite nicely
Calhanoglu is everything that Honda was suppose to be and more! Love him. He provides a ton of creativity in the midfield and even puts in the hard work in tracking back and defending. Will easily be a fan favorite soon enough!

Andre Silva is a very smart striker, with his runs and positional awareness to his forward partner. He plays way beyond his years and if given proper game time, could be challenging for the Capocannoniere. Here's hoping!
Honestly, just popped up to say that I am very optimistic about this coming season. I feel like it will be our best in while, and here's to hoping it will be.

So, let's wait together and see this season unfold. As always Forza Milan!
I agree. I had a hard time trying to watch Milan games the past couple of years; now I drop everything I'm doing and watch every game that comes on! Been super excited!
Europa League draw was today and this is the group we're in:

GROUP D:
AC Milan
AEK Athens
FK Austria Wein
HNK Rijeka

Interesting group, but we should be able to make it to the knockout stage, if not win the group outright. Fortunately, the traveling isn't awful (Greece, Austria, Croatia) so there really shouldn't be any excuses from coming out of the group on top. Looking forward to a good campaign!

Also, something hilarious happened today:
When asked if he was an Interista, Thorir (Inter's president) responded by saying "He's been an Inter fan since the club bought the Dutch trio"... xD

^ I read that too, smh...

Thank god he isn't majority owner anymore, truly embarrassing.
