are you guys getting bernard he is a hard working on deffence great player all round
"This Dortmund team have always given the impression that the ordinary rules of football do not apply to them. It felt like a group of friends pursuing a dream together, with money and glamour coming second to them."

An open letter from a season ticket holder BVB fan to Mario. Very deep. GOtze is still one of the players that i love to watch but how stupid would he look if you guys won the CL. I really hope you do even though I am neutral but after reading Klopp's interbiew and this, I can feel the betrayal you guys felt. Good luck at the finals.

sokratis is a strong boost! now we need just another rb, lb, cam, striker and maybe another wing man.. looking forward to this transfer period :)
Pretty sure that the RB position is solved with Sokratis and Großkreutz. Management might even plan with Sokratis to be the allrounder to fill in on both outside back positions, though I would prefer another young and talented left back to put some pressure on Schmelzer. Jetro Willems would be a dream, but his price tag is probably to high. Maybe we can get ourselves another young Brazilian ala Dede? :)
There actually IS another great left-back similar to Dede, playing at Wolfsburg. Ricardo Rodríguez, he's Spanish I believe, is a very good player and only like 21 years old. Lille have another great young left-back too, he's just 19 but I just know he's gonna be France's next left-back when Evra and Abidal are out of the picture, which shouldn't be long.

But the kid I like most is 17-year old (!) Luke Shaw from Southhampton. He plays like a good 23-year old Premier League left-back, rarely makes mistakes and has so much potential. If he would be willing to move, which I seriously doubt because English people can't adapt anywhere, he'd be great.

edit: Rodríguez is Swiss too, which is perfect because he probably speaks German as good as any other German left-back. I just looked him up and he apparently is rated very highly though, and he'd probably cost €8-10m.
Pisczek will most probably be out for a long time due to his hip surgery... The doctors said something about 5 months :-/

Any possible back ups we could get? Was maybe this because we got sokratis? He is an all rounder after all
that sucks pisczek is one of the players I love watching in any Dortmund game I can catch
5 months?! Damn. Well, in football 5 months can fly by, so I have good hopes for his future anyway. He'll come back even more Terminator-like than before :)

His surgery is AFTER the final, right?
I think BVB fans from around Europe will enjoy this article

I hope fans from around Europe will not rely on the author's misconception of dates as he seems to be sure the final is on the 27th :P

According to Kicker we just signed Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Sokratis? I thought he was going to Lever? It would be great if we got him though, at just 24 years old, he's already got plenty of experience and he's a very good defender. I used to think he was too aggressive and rash, but this season he's bettered that aspect of his game. The red cards he got were sometimes undeserved too, biased decisions from the refs because of his history.
I think >10 m would be way too expensive. Yes he is a young and quality player but he showed it to rarely in the Werder Bremen side. Somehow or other he will just replace Santana...
If that's true, it would be more than perfect! He'd be a fantastic backup, better than Santana and would also be able to fill in for our outside backs here and there. Also, if one of your studs in the center back ever leave, he'd be good enough to fill the gap. Still pretty young and will only become better under Klopp. Please let it be true!
Bit expensive to be a benchwarmer like Santana, no? Probably €10m for a player who isn't going to start a lot? Then again, we have literally no back-up if Tele leaves.
Sokratis is great, the fact Bremen conceded so many goals was because they didn't have four sokratis. Leverkusen didn't want to pay the 10m. I'm really happy about this, he is a great back up with potential to be in the first squad.
I think it's probably planning ahead too, Jeroen. Subotic has always stated that he wants to play in England someday and the Götze and Lewandowski story shows that players aren't as loyal to the club as we had probably hoped them to be. He will get integrated more than Santana was because there's not a huge loss of quality between him and Subotic, if any. Plus he can play both outside back position and defensive mid. Expensive? Yes, but very much needed.
Yeah, I agree. He's a very good player, just 24 years old and will no doubt be very useful for us. I also agree neither Mats nor Subo will probably stay forever. If a team like United, Chelsea or City come a-knocking for Subo, which they probably will in a year or perhaps two, it'll be tough to say no for him.
Just pls! Win this finale! I wan't to see the bayern faces!

I think it's good he's out. How is a guy like him going to give it his all? He thought it would be a good idea to sign for the worst possible club in the world as a Dortmund player (Schalke are no competition as long as we have Klopp) right when the season is culminating into its peak.

He has been at the club for 12 years and chose the most selfish way to go, at only 20 years old too. I would say I don't care for him, but I do because he's a brilliant player and has contributed massively to Dortmund's success. But everything of that fell apart when he decided to move to Bayern mid-season. Good that he's out, let him w**k all over the idea of becoming the German Messi, which is probably the only reason he moved to Bayern anyway.
Im with you brother, love to see players who will actually be with us next season playing in the big game
Amazingly honest interview with Klopp:

"His laughter dies and he looks suddenly stricken when I ask about his shock after he heard Götze would be gone this summer. "It was like a heart attack. It was one day after Málaga [whom Dortmund beat with two desperately late goals in the quarter-final]. I had one day to celebrate and then somebody thought: 'Enough, go back down on the floor.'"
