Linesmen were definitely against us today, ruling many of our passes unjustifiably as offsides, while giving Hertha the goal within a clear offside.
Having said that, we should definitely been 3-0 before that goal!
I was happy to see the team not succumbing to the psychological pressure of having Hertha back in the game after their goal. Instead, we kept our cool, and scored another one in the end. The long awaited third goal arrived at last.

Good performance all in all. Kagawa with the first assist, and for the second goal, he lodged the ball brilliantly towards Ginter who assisted Auba.
Mats was outstanding, and Sokratis made some brilliant last man slides and tackles to incapacitate Hertha's attack.

On a lesser note, it seems that Reus is a bit out of shape. Should've scored. Looks like he's not 100%. Luckily we have a reinvigorated Miki to fill that hole, making Reus' lack of form inconspicuous.

Looking forward to the next game!
Oh and Ginter, let's keep him as RB! So far, so great!
3 wonderful goals and basically a clean sheet (offside goals don't count :P) as well. Fantastic!

This season could not have started better. The weak performers of last season are looking extremely good now, starting with Mikhi who picked up form at the end of last season, now Shinji looks back to his best and even Ginter and Hofmann look really sharp and eager. Weigl is a truly inspired signing who can become the next big player for us, Ilkay and Mats are performing great and Piszczek is back too. Amazing!

The great form of most of our players also allows our superstar to perform less than we're used to from him. But I'm sure it won't be long before Marco Reus too will be firing on all cylinders :)

wow, so many misses. They're just putting pressure on themselves

lol at the offside goal for Hertha
and Ramos was onside
Both weren'r even close decisions either.
lmao and the ball had went out. The linesmen are terrible this game lol.
Kagawa super-saiyan mode!

That open post miss though :/ Really wish he would score that but happy because his form is so much better :)
Yarmolenko to dortmund according to Bild?
Good stats (Ukrainian league)
Wolfsburg lose both De Bruyne and Perisic :\

Good for us, bad for Bundesliga. Honestly I'm a bit surprised. I very much doubt they would have sold without KDB whining and pushing for it, like he supposedly did at Chelsea. Probably a good thing we missed out on him.
De Bruyne's move took me by surprise these days -- I thought that with the transfer window already by its end,he would stay. But it looks to me like the fee was already agreed and the Wolves were looking for a replacement, which maybe gets official right after De Bruyne's transfer?

Though,I'm more puzzled by the Perisic transfer. They sold De Bruyne, their arguably most important player of last season. Now they sell Perisic, which was another crucial player to them? What the hell?
I just don't see any necessarity for them to sell, unless Perisic wanted to leave SO much that he went into arguing (why would anyone have a very big desire to leave Wolfsburg for Inter?)
He didn't whine and push; on top of the €80m transfer fee he was offered apparently an insane €300,000 a WEEK, which is like 5x what he made at Wolfsburg. Allofs realized he couldn't compete with that and they let him go.

The Wolfsburg fans flocked to him after he said his goodbyes, so clearly he didn't leave on a bad note:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CNhTucIWwAAvS_W.jpg:large
I think he should know better about BPL.
He left chelsea a year ago because of the high competition in the squad.
Mourinho said that KdB can't perform if he is in uncertainty about his squad status. Well man city have david silva as CAM; I think the only thing that could guarantee a starting spot from the beginning for him is the fee they paid for him.
Imo he shouldve stayed at least for this season. He's still young, still enough time to earn more money ( he isn't earning s**t at Volkswagen Wolfsburg...).
We'll see. either he will prove me wrong or he won't and he will experience the same old s**t like he did under mourinho. either way who wouldn't take 300k per week tho ,lol
Perisic want to leave, because Inter offers him more money than Wolfsburg.
@Fabius: exactly. If a club offers you SIX years of 300,000 euros a week, you f'in take that. He's not gonna get an equally good chance like that next season even if he'd be as good for Wolfsburg this season as he was the last.

You'd be nuts not to seize such an opportunity.
what do you think about the draw? I am happy with it, but not happy about the ammount of traveling we will be doing
Agree with you. The teams themselves are not going to be hard but the traveling is gonna make it annoying.
It may be annoying but I think the team should ultimately cruise through easily
Yeah, should be a piece of cake... On paper anyway.
if we dont get the 18 points, it will be a total failure. xD

Kampl and Dudziak left us for Leverkusen and St.Pauli respectively.
Großkreutz and Kuba to follow next apparently.
I am fine with Kampl leaving(though,as I said below,I would have liked if he would go to a non-Bundesliga club),but I don't see the reason for Dudziak leaving, even though he has a buy-back option.I mean, what the hell,I'd even put him above Hofmann in the pecking order. In the pre-season I've seen more of Dudziak than I've seen of Hofmann EVER -- and I'm really fcking tired of his selfishness(he ruined about 3+ counter-attacks vs. Odd,just for the sake of shooting from 20 metres).I really wouldn't sell Kuba though,as he is a BVB legend IMO,and would be a rather solid back-up or rotating option against not-top-notch teams when one of Mikhi/Reus gets tired/injured/whatever.I'd be a bit sad if we were to sell Grosskreutz, though it is best for him that he would go somewhere where he would be able to break into the first squad.
Yea i wanted Dudziak to stay....so weird why they would make that move.....IMO
I think Dudziak was allowed to leave so Grosskreutz would stay. I don't know how I feel about Kampl, I guess he would have been a good sub but with HMS moving to spurs, leverkusen would be able to give regular games to the guy.

@Kristijan I did not really follow the pre-season but I never got to see Dudziak play. If you really think he's that good then I hope we did put in a buy back clause.

Kuba is kind of weird. I guess if the loan of marko is approved then there is chance of Kuba coming here. However, I don't how he would fit in the current liverpool squad. BR is infamous for bringing players and f*****g up now. I guess we're looking for someone to cross to benteke if it comes to that because no one in the current squad can give a good cross.

lets see how it goes
And furthermore we supposedly have signed Joo-Ho Park from Mainz as a back-up for Schmelzer.
That would be absolutely horrendous,IMO.I mean,I trust in Tuchel, but really,we have Durm,Grosskreutz, and what about that kid Stenzel?(i mean as back-ups,ofc)
Mainz,please,don't fcking sell him
Man, KristijanT, I couldn't possibly disagree more about Hofmann. His wing play and ability to pick a pass are phenomenal. If you think he's selfish just because he took a few shots against a weak opponent then I don't want to know what you think of Mikhi or Reus or Gundogan. When he made his first senior appearances for us 2 years ago, I predicted he'd be the next big thing out of the youth side. He's miles ahead of Dudziak at this point, even if Dudziak has a higher ceiling. Sounds like you just don't like the guy.

But I honestly did not see this Dudziak move coming. I could have understood a loan. But an outright sell makes absolutely no sense to me even with the buy-back clause. If we have another injury crisis, people will look back on this as the worst deal of the season.
Well, nah,it's not that I like/dislike him.I was just frustrated by him when I was writing...
I agree with you to a certain point, his wing play is good(not anywhere near phenomenal) as is his ability to pick a pass. But,always when I watch him(which is basically, always when he plays),I just dont see even a half of the flair our other wingers have. It's not the unfulfilled potential, his youth or whatever,he just doesn't have it.Why I said that I'd rather put Dudziak above Hofmann in the pecking order is just because of that -- I believe that he has the flair, pace and talent that Hofmann will never have(Dudziak didn't do some Ronaldinho magic in the pre-season,yes,it was only a pre-season,but during it,I just saw some movements and sharpness that I haven't seen in Hofmann). And yeah,I'm very surprised by the (bad,IMO) move, but I think that if he puts some great performances we will get him back.

EDIT: And,I'm Kristijan(without the T) though :D
Julian Weigl, what a Midfieldbeast!! I see him as our future captain (Mats succesor) in some years (if he stays with us). He has all the qualities to become a BVB legend.
Yeah, his potential is crazy.
Yeah,he's great so far,I'm just afraid of him getting too much hyped and crumbling under the whole hype pressure.I mean, you know, there is a country named England, and they specialize in it :D
don't worry, most of us have never heard of him outside of footytube. His potential is safe for now!
beast mode guys! Really glad to see you kick ass again!
