It is done!

Okaerinasai Shinji!

This has been the saddest day in my life for years. I truly cannot explain how happy I was when he who at that time was the best no.10 in the world in my eyes, signed for us.

The biggest joy that I got was seeing my favorite player tear the Bundesliga and Bayern up with his vision, technique, touches & dribbles. The 1-2's, the layoffs and through balls were simply out of this world.

If him leaving would mean that I can enjoy seeing him do what he does best again, then I couldn't be more happier for him and Dortmund.

Here's hoping for more of this in the coming season: The play-a-make KING.

Congrats on getting Shinji back. It's just a shame we never saw Kagawa's play-a-making best at United.

Hopefully he'll be as successful as he was before
Hope he regain what he have lost since his departure. I would like to see him and Dortmund being the top in Germany again.

Glad Kagawa is back at Dortmund! Going to be nice to see him happy again back at his home!
Sad to see one of my favourite players leave but it's good for his career and he will be much appreciated in Dortmund.

This makes me happier than I thought it would :'D

Welcome back to your football home Shinji!!

Will he get his 23 back again?
+2
No, Ji's got the 23 now. I'm assuming he will get No. 7 with Hofmann leaving on loan.
Yup, 7 it is.

They confirmed the finalization of the transfer, so did Kicker - just short of an official confirmation, this is good and reliable enough for me to believe!

Shinji,

JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

WELCOME BACK!

And if it takes 2 years for you to return to your former self, we will be waiting and cheering for you every single minute from the stands and sideline.

And for €8m, Jeroen will also be happy. Everbody happy!!!! YAY!!

edit: And now it is official:

Shinji is probably returning (for only £6m!) as well!

Hooray!

I missed the game yesterday; I was working, but from your posts it seemed like it was good that I did. Frustrating performances from some players I take it? Heck, we still won while Schalke and Bayern drew, I'm happy :)
it was frustrating after 70 min's , prior to that i thought it was okay performance & micky & ramos were bit selfish :/

& i said okay considering the optimum level of fitness is still missing , International matches will surely help in that regard .

It was actually a really good game... not sure what all the negativity here's about. Sure, we ran out of steam after 70min but until that point we played some of the most fluid football I've seen us play in years. Should have easily been 5-1... especially if the ref had given the penalty for Miki on which Augsburg scored on instead because of a direct counter attack.

THE POSITIVE:

Miki was ripping up the midfield. His solos were mindboggling... if he can improve on finalizing the last play, he will be world-class.

Reus is getting the needed playing time. He already looked solid... can't wait to see him combo with Miki and hopefully Kagawa when he's fully fit.

Auba looked great up top just failed to reward himself with a goal. Also had many great passes that should have led to assists if Jojic hadn't biffed it a couple of times.

Pische was fantastic again after going through a little bit of a slump. Hopeful that we will se the old man come back to full strength now.

THE NEGATIVE:

Durm: I don't think there's anyone that wants Durm to succeed as much as I do, but he had another bad game after last week. Unfocused, many poor touches, no threat going forward, and weak on the defense. He's much much better than what he showed yesterday.

Jojic: Similarly to Durm, he's not showing nearly what he had hinted towards the end of last season. Improved over the last match but still much too slow in his decision making. Biffed many great counter attacking plays by simply acting too slowly.

It's very early in the season and fitness is still an issue, but all in all, this game made me very hopeful that we will see the Dortmund of 2011/2012 again this year.
+1
Alright, thanks a lot for the information guys, keeps me up-to-date :)

I am certain Durm will come good; he's so damn talented he'll be back to his best soon. I have 100% faith in him. By the way: Club Brugge has a very, VERY similar wing-back as him, but on the right: Thomas Meunier. I hope Dortmund notice him and consider him as a replaceùment for Piszczek in due time.
