So I'm guessing Dortmund will end like 7th this season but win the Champions League instead :P

Don't worry guys! We'll still have UCL football next season anyways!! xD
We will be fine! I'm not worried at all. Disappointed with recent results: yeah, but they need this to grow! Without this new challenge, they would stagnate.
come on.
So if we plan on playing CL next season we're allowed to not win 2-3 matches of the remaining ones at most. Unless everyone else plays an incredibly mixed season and 50-60 points would be enough for a CL spot. Or we win the CL, obviously.
I think the only way to be in the next season of the UCL is winning it this year. Today was another pathetic game from us and I wouldnt be surprised if we tear Galatasaray apart on Wednesday. Thats the cruel reality of our team actually. Hauptsache: Kloppo bis in den Tod!!!
Our pessimists at work again...

We will be just fine this year. We'll start a winning streak in the Bundesliga and easily secure second spot, we will make it into the quarter finals in the CL at least, and we will be playing for the final of the DFB pokal.

Today was a group of crazy good players that mostly just returned from long injuries thrown into the mix with unsure regulars.... and we still played decent. Terrible passes that lead to the counters for Kölns goals, but the stats show it all again:

16 to 5 shots on goal.
63% to 37% possession.

Things will fall into place soon and we'll stop giving away ridiculous goals and start putting away our chances... trust me, all will be fine.
+1
Who call you pessimist? this is pure realismus. You are a naive dreamer if you think that all will be fine that simple. The Powerplay with a lot of goal chances does not make sense if we do not score. First, Kloppo must fix the critical defensive problem and the attitude from the players, then maybe the team can start a winning streak.
I actually miscalculated that, nevermind.
Marco basically summarizes our season so far:

http://www.bvb.de/var/ezdemo_site/storage/images/media/bilder/buehnenbilder/koeln_reus/1381858-1-ger-DE/Koeln_Reus_bvbnachricht_voll_regular.jpg

Only God knows what the f**k went wrong. Bad luck, injuries... None of that should lead to 4 losses and a draw in the past 5 BuLi games.
So... I wonder what the excuses will be this time? This is officially the first full-blown crisis we've had in a lot of years. There really is nothing much to say here. The performances have simply been unacceptable. I don't understand how some people can say things like "we didn't actually play so bad" and still keep a straight face. This is by far the worst football we've played under Klopp. Something has gone horribly wrong. And unless we fix it very soon, we may as well just beg Bayern to take more of our best players.
Not sure if you actually watch the games... this is far from the worst football we've played under Klopp, the results are just working against us right now.

Last year we played much worse football at times, just to scrape out small wins here and there... this time around the luck hasn't been on our side yet even though we "haven't actually been playing that bad."
I have watched every game so far this season, and what I've seen has been a total lack of creativity on top of the (now usual) horrible defending. You're right in saying that this began last season, but it has become far worse. Results speak for themselves. If it's 1 or 2 losses here and there then maybe you can get away with saying that luck was just not on our side and it was just "the results going against us". But 4 losses in 5 games doesn't wash.

I respect you Marko and I like that you believe in the club no matter what. But I don't appreciate the insinuation that I haven't been supporting the team. And I think it's incredibly naive to say that we'll just overcome a 9 point gap just like that, playing the way we've been playing so far this season.
thats definitely not my BVB. Where is my team??? it is lost in space??
I don't get it either. The magic that made us play like a connected unit all these years under Klopp seems completely gone. And all the bad luck isn't helping either.
I somehow feel the second goal would not have happened had Weidenfeller had more faith in our defense. But I guess he has good reasons not to atm, so if it rains it pours. :(
Immobile!!
Well, I'd say the goal was on Sokratis. Should have seen where Vogt was going and that nobody else could have stopped him. But that lack of 'ahead' vision is a byproduct of insufficient team-play practice. The whole team is still 'swimming' and certainly not their old selves, possibly still scared of yet another injury.

I did however like the insane Ilkay and Shinji close-quarter ball control on display. So far still without proper result, but am still hopeful for the second half.

And good to see that they are not hanging their heads down but look really PISSED about yet another conceded goal. That's how it should be.
