I don't get all the negativism... It was just one of those nights in which the ball wouldn't have gone in no matter what. We weren't outplayed, Mainz was definitely not better than us and we are still fighting to put on a fully fit squad. I honestly even expected to draw/lose today. But it will only get better from now on.

The only player i really haven't liked so far in Ginter.

Thankfully Hummels is back in training and Gündogans return is not far away either.

We will 100& come back from this little slip. It's been a pretty funny and unpredictable season so far. I am quite enjoying it ^^
I do remember Ginter making mistakes in other games too. Maybe he's just too young and inexperienced. Both my teams lost today. Double the pain :(
When was the last time we had a negative goal difference after more than 2 or 3 match days?
When Rues and Hummels will be back?Any news on them?
Reus until after the Anderlecht game and Hummels should be starting against Stuttgart on wednesday

A return of both of them will have a huge positive impact on your team.
On the upside, we saw Maruoka play for a bit.

Boy were those some grade A subs, too. I'm glad Kagawa and Ramos were finally out with their damn half-decent passing. Couldn't allow that to go on, nope sir. Would rather continue to watch Aubameyang and Jojic kick the ball in opponents faces or cross it right into the goalies arms. Boy oh boy.
This is ridiculous. If we lose this game after the opening we were given from Bayern today, I'll have no words. Just horrible so far.
hey mike, mind checking your wall? got a question about where you got your jersey last time. Thanks
Yeah, we're totally going to win the league this year, lol. Pffft.

I don't know what is more shocking, our up-or-down performances, or that we're still only trailing by 2 points.

Last season this time of year, Bayern was already Herbstmeister. I guess Paderborn will take the dish.
shambolic football from BBV vs arsenal i have to say i really admire klopp and dortmund style of game. good luck in bundesliga hope yo guys win this time.
thanks :)
Does anyone else love Kevin's black boots? They are so beautifully-retro.

He has been playing out of this world so far this season. It's a good sight to see.
+3
I love his boots! Do you maybe know what brand that is?
hey guys, I wanted to make a quick analysis of the Bundesliga so far and will start by saying: Bayern will not win it.

Aside from injuries, Bayern's game has been declining. Xabi Alonso is a huuuge improvement and the solution of a problem that was slowly starting to spread. However, I don't believe it will suffice. Lewandowski has been very very poor for them so far, he doesn't seem to find his spot on the pitch yet which is absolutely normal, Bayern's style is very different from ours.
They lack creativity compared to the Bayern of last and specially the second to last season.
Badstuber was getting back on his feet and he played quite well considering that long term injury. Now he is out for 3 months again. Dante is far from being the CB that first arrived to munich, his form is also declining for whatever reason. Ribery's injury also affects the creativity, and when he comes on, he isn't (yet) the old player again who won the european title for best player.

Robben and Müller are still the two best players from Bayern and will significantly decide most of the games.

Leverkusen: won't win it either
As much as I like the mesmerizing attacking football Leverkusen has shown so far, games like Bremen and Monaco were bound to happen. It's a very very high risk game from them going all out as if they were behind 1-0 in the 80th minute... during an entire game!

Maybe they needed the wake-up call now and can start re-organizing themselves and defend maybe just a little bit. However after what Leno said, they would prefer a 5-4 over an 1-0... I don't get it either.
It will probably be the same effect Liverpool had last season in the EPL, a los of goals... on both ends.

Schalke... well Keller won't make the season, unless they start winning from now on. Chelsea has been a perfect way to show how to turn things around. Although I can't be the only one who think Mou didn't take them very seriously. Drogba for like 70 minutes on the field? come on. Remy would have probably been the better option. I know they were thinking ahead of the City game but still, Schalke got lucky there.
I will also take into consideration, that like us, they have a huge list of injured players.
I doubt they will be much better than last season.

Us: We MIGHT win the title this year.
well... apart from my subjectivity, I am not impressed by the single effort of Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan or Reus (ok yes I am) but I am way more impressed by our TEAM performance so far. COnsidering we got Sahin, Pisczek, Kuba, Reus, Gündogan, Hummels, Kirch and Ji injured, it simply doesn't influence much in the team performance. Everyone is given a role to fulfill, and they all do it (mostly) flawlessly. Ciro has been working his behind off, Ramos as well and are getting time to recover from the games because Klopp can now finally rotate between Strikers. Kagawa's return was just the Cherry on the icing and his positive energy will carry us a long way. As soon as at least half of the players get back, we will roll and cause mayhem in the Bundesliga.

Hoffenheim: No one really taking them into consideration, but they managed to finally get a hold on their defense. Bicakcic has improved that department tremendously. Their attacking football still not as good as last season, but when Volland get's back, they will get on a roll. I'm pretty sure of that.
They might not challenge for the title, but they will push for an EL and maybe even CL spot.

Gladbach: They have been my secret favorites to push for the top 4 spots since last season. Now they have the quality to do so. Hahn, Traore, Johson... all great signings and pacy, yet technically gifted players. The only thing I've been noticing, they can't quite hold the back 4 line and this could be a problem. They play EL this season. We'll see how well they can perform here. It will certainly show where the team stands so far. And if they get thrown out early, it could be a blessign in disguise. Leverkusen and Schalke will fall into a slump and endanger a top 4 finish which Gladbach can and will take if given the chance.

Wolfsburg: well... a lot of great signings, but they live above their own expectations. They trust Olic to carry them a long way this season. He pushes his stamina in every game to the limit. a 35 year old who is taking a second breath of youth. However, their main focus will be the EL this season and "fight for the title" as Niklas Bendtner said.
Doubt it.

I could go on and write about every single team but it would take some of your and my time.

I would like to know how you see the teams described above.

cheers
Wow, that must be your longest post ever Steve :P I have to go in a min, so I'll read it properly later on instead of skimming through quickly.

My point of view: Bayern is still the strongest squad but lack motivation and they're an aging team. Similar to Barça in the 2012-2013 season. I still think they're favourites. But we are looking much better now even though we've been haunted by the injury beast again. I'd say we have almost as good a chance to win the BuLi as Bayern. The rest all seem to be too weak still, though Wolfsburg or Gladbach might spring a surprise if they're lucky with injuries.
3 scorerpoints in 3 bundesliga games for lewandowski don't seem very very poor to me :P
+1
Although I always found heyckens's bayern much stronger than this current bayern, I still think they have a really good chance of winning the league.
But with Shinji back, and the injured players like Gundogan and Kuba returning, I think this season will be Dortmund's. But again we shall see.
Hannover will fall no worries, probably a Europa spot?
Leverkusen will end up in 4th place as usual.
Schalke has the players (although half of them are injured now), so I think they will finish in the Champions League spot, but no chance for the title.
Mainz look like they are finally getting used to life without their brilliant manager after he left, they could be dark horses, especially Okazaki is going Samurai mode.
Hertha also could turn out to be dark horses if they get their sh*t together, they made good transfers.
Wolfsburg.. all the money but not the right players :S
personally i think bayern and bvb are on the same level this year; the title could go to either at this point. bayern got used to a new coach last year, so for me, they should be stronger this year. i liked how we played against city, looks like pep is finally merging his spanish possession ideas with german vertical movement.

speaking of enjoying good soccer, i must commend bvb and especially kloppo on what was a perfect game from you guys against arsenal. cris-crossing runs timed to perfection, hunter-pack defense, i loved it.
also, dortmund have incredible squad depth this year, just as good as bayerns. both teams have vital members missing but played convincing cl games.

schalke need a real coach, they got the quality but nobody to lead em. leverkusen i had hopes for but after monaco...reality check.

so all in all, immer wieder FCB!
+1
Valid Points- should be a interesting season.
I still think Bayern Munchen will win the league, Dortmund and Leverkusen will certainly fight it out for 2nd and 3rd spot.
