f**k tiki taka! We are bayern!
whats happening to BVB i dont like seeing them do this bad.
yes i think their done again. BVB comes and goes all the time. its been like this ever since i know football. and thats a long time. BVB does well for like 4 years and goes back down again. its been like this... hopefully they improve. its good for the Bundesliga that they improve. their success follows a cycle.
So you really think BVB with a team that includes Hummels, Subo, Piszczek, Bender, Sahin, Gündogan, Mkhitaryan, Kagawa, Reus, Immobile and Aubameyang are done? Yes, Dortmund is in a bad slump, but there's no way they're 'done'. Kloppo will set things straight, but the BuLi season is almost certainly forfeited. The very best would be the second spot this year, again.
Glad ribery is back. I miss our boss midfield bastian and javi. Those two were amazing 2012-2013 season together!
cant wait to see xabi and bastian together on the pitch!
Good job today guys.

That second goal by Lahm! Beauty!

right through the keeper's legs!
just brilliant
WOW perfect way to return from a week of no footy.

1) Tactics. Guardiola going with the 3-4-3 lineup and boy it work today. Lahm inserted smack in the midfield and netting a brace?! Can someone tell me when the last that has happened (if ever) ahah. Also, gotze as I have mentioned before is on fine form with two beautiful goals.

2) Rivals. I don't know if should laugh or feel sorry for leverkusen who chokes up a 3 goal lead and lets stuttgart come back in glorious fashion. And ofcourse there's dortmund.....no words can explain the shocking form (or lack thereof) there are in right now.

and oh... forgot to mention..xabi free kick was orgasmic.
His first ever brace (in senior football ofc :P )

Last post about pep for today but here is another excerpt:

He reveals that he detests the “tiki taka” style made famous when he was at Barcelona, claiming it “has no purpose”, along with what he calls his “monumental f**k up” in last season’s Champions League when Bayern lost 5-0 on aggregate to Real Madrid in the semi-final.

Very interesting statement coming from Pep given many fans, haters, causal observers and pundits immediately label Pep's system at bayern tiki taka. The irony in that guardiola himself detests that label.

Lol every time we dont get to win a game there's actually some discussion about that in some forums on this website; content is basically " tiki taka lol pep you noob you destroy football you suck, mou>pep, I guess that's what you call beautiful football thehehehehehehe"
They obviously don't watch our games nor do they understand that a high level of possession doesn't mean tiki taka.
Our tactics this season are way more attacking and open minded than before.the possession rates are balanced out between both sides;
We often play long balls towards lewandowski what was a no go for pep last season.
Our tactics have nothing to do with tiki taka

Tiki-taka used to mean "keep ball" and was a pejorative term until Pep came along. I haven't read the book, but I'm guessing Pep detests the fact that his style is called "tiki taka" because for him tiki-taka means that defensive, negative style of play.

If you've read the book, could you clarify if that's what he meant? Because I find it hard to believe that he detests the philosophy he revived and still follows to a large extent.
From the excerpt I read, he just meant tiki-taka from an outsider's view just means retaining possession and passing the ball for the sake of passing and racking up statistics. But for Pep, it is more than just passing; it is passing for a purpose or with clear intent. I think he doesn't like the term because it is a simplistic term slapped on his complicated set of tactics/philosophy. I think he wants everyone to know he is more than just passing the ball around.

Another article from pep's book. Here, it talks about Pep admitting he monumentally effed up his tactics for our real madrid match. Apparently pep changed his mind as to what formation we would be using three times! he went back and forth on this issue right up until kick-off.

I thought I would post-links from the book on pep which quite frankly I find insightful and interesting into our manager's tactics. It is rare to see a book about a coach detailing some of the behind the scenes dresser room talk WHILE he is still managing. The following link is an excerpt discussing the speech Pep gave to the players before the penalties were taken with our super cup tie with chelsea. The theme of the speech you ask? water polo! enjoy:
