Still never going to accept peps tactics in this bayern team! Don't care that we win the league not hard to win the league in a. One horse race. I love bayern for there attacking mentality. Not possession!
+2
Not only that but the rotations too. Why does he have to play worlds best RB and LB in the midlefield when we have also have the best midfielders who can do their job but better?
And I dont understand why Rafinha still plays for Bayern. He shouldnt even be in our team by now, he is not a world class player and I tought he would be gone after jupp. But no! let him start every match and move lahm in mf.
I guess javi martinez is done playing in the mf, cant believe that 2 years ago he and schweinsteiger were destroying everyone. And now he will be on the bench fighting to start over boateng, dante, badstuber and benatia.

Nothing we can do right now, we just have to wait and see what Pep achieves. And if he wins the CL I will of course be happy, but it would not be the same as when we were destroying every team with our counter attacking minded football with Jupp.
+3
Dante and Boateng solid at the back. Lahm cutting behind Robben from the right, Alaba cutting behind Ribery from the left, all 4 recovering each other in defense, Javi covering Basti covering kroos in the mid, all also recovering back, Gomez or Mandzukic as predators. Mueller as the anomaly.

I visit here often but don't comment as much as before, but if I have something to say is that Jupp got it right by getting Javi, Dante and Mandzukic in the team.

Joking...

But as you see football - as it is- is ephemeral. You hail your coach as the greatest one day , two days later you call for sackings. That's just how it is. We all wanted to get rid of jupp before the triple season and it all turned out to lead us to glory. Time will tell with pep. I believe in him.

@arjenfranzz: I don't think that the team has lost its attacking mentality. How can you play counter attacking football if the other team has 2 back lines in front of their goal? Possession is inevitable then.

you cannot expect guardiola with his unique philosophy to copy and mimic Jups tactics, Jups era was over at bayern since he wanted to retire , we sure got the best coach out there .. hes not at bayern to make everyone happy .., hes there to do his job and hes been absolutely amazing... a team cant win every single game .. nor they can play amazingly every single game.., were still in all competitions with a very good chance to take them all even though we have a lot of injured players.. and pep does not have his full squad.. just be patient

My point is Why come to treble winning and make drastic changes right away. Putting lahm in f*****g defensive midfield. The guy is 5'6 and 140 pounds. His been playing rb for all his dam bayern career. Then taking away the bastian and javi combo. Those two destroyed the midfield world together! f**k braking robben and lahms chemistry just to see your philosophy! Taking away a relationship that caused so many goals???? Honestly I think he is far from a the best coach out there. Going from one of the best teams in the world to a team that won the treble. Yea it's not hard to win f*****g trophies with a damn good team. With stacked players(players that I love) point is call yourself a great coach when you win with a team that is struggling and has potential. I can come in and coach bayern so f*****g easy. Tell the boys go out there and kick ass play your position you thrive at and play as a team! Pep is a smart coach don't get me wrong but a great one no. I don't give a s**t what he accomplished at barcelona. They had one th most stacked teams in the world at the time no s**t he won so many trophys. My vote after this season sack the guy.
"Yea it's not hard to win f*****g trophies with a damn good team."
Wrong.

"My vote after this season sack the guy."
LMFAO. Sure, do it.

Wow dude

You cant tell me that lahm played bad at cdm and you cant tell me that javi as CB in the dfb cup final was a bad choice
Tactics have to change as opponents adapt
And " its not Hard to win trophies with a good team" - thats bs and you know it. Look at Manchester City and look what Jürgen Klinsmann and louis van gaal in his Second season did with this team.

Arjenfranzz u took it too far.
Barca was strugling with all their stars before he became their coach. Pep is a great coach no doubt.
Its just I dont like what he did to Bayern with bringing his philosophy, changing players positions etc.
@Arjenfranzz I am just amazed by how shallow you look at things, Pep's unbelievable influence changed Germany' style of play in the world cup as well let alone Bayern. Pep knows better than anyone else who plays best at what position however he wants the players to explore themselves and get the maximum potential of their ability, he exposed Lahm to another dimension in his game.., now Lahm is more versatile and multi-functional player rather than just being a RB or LB , see the bigger picture
+1
@alirezafcb don't talk to me about being shallow bud. I love bayern. I always look forward to watching bayern play. always regardless of who we faced. I fell in love with the way we played not the players, but with the way we played. Now you tell me I'm shallow for disliking this damn coach. He has killed me watching bayern play! we play in such a slow paced way rather then our traditiona attacking German stylel way of playing. See the bigger picture.... of what tell me how did we do facing Real Madrid last year with his changes. For Fucks sake we almost lost to Man U if we didn't step our game up second half. Bigger picture my ass!
^ Actually we've been playing attractive football this season so far. I'd say Pep has been influenced by Bayern's philosophy as an overall attacking minded team as much as he influenced the team to his own tactics. I like this Pep much better than Pep of first season. He himself has grown into a better coach even further at Bayern.

It's just that his team can get slaughtered with its high line defense against counter attacking teams since last year and he's not able to do something about it!
+1
I've seen him make very smart adjustments to the team during games. Especially after realizing that his initial lineup didn't work (credits to other coaches...most of them have some brains, too, you know). And the way he can adapt or change the course of a game is inspiring. Which in turn baffles me when it comes to that counter attacking weakness and long balls behind the defense. Of course, sitting back is not an option against weaker teams that defend with 10 men around the box. But against stronger opposition there should be more tactical variety. If you look at the statistics though, an attacking team is more likely to win than a defending one. And it looks better (at least in my eyes). Parking the bus is not for me, sorry.

Btw, let's maintain a civil tone here. Thanks.
Ok, whatever, shitty game. Bayern do this from time to time. What's worse is the injury to robben, lucky we got Porto after all. Not saying they'll make it easy for us but robbens been having his best season of his career.
Also time to stop the basti-xabi experiment til next year. Not good timing to try n make it work
We need Robben in the semis of CL at least or we are f****d
Alaba is probably the best "left defender" in the world. Unfortunately Pep and Alaba himself think he is more important in central midfield.
And then Bernat is playing again and again on Alaba's position, even so he is doing zero, nada on the left side. No crosses, no passes. No contribution to our offence...

But yeah it's Pep and he knows better...
Lol lets have a talk about lahm first...how does pep not see bayern are more dangerous with him n alaba on the flanks
+1
Oh how i hate international breaks- you can almost smell the injuries
At least there's time for lahm, Thiago , Javi to recover

El Classico is a theatre, a swimmingpool. Cant believe so many stars diving like that. I mean I like it when they do play football, but it seems like they dive more than playing.
Gotta give respect for Messi, he is the only player who plays fotball like a man
Good thing you wont have to suffer for several weeks!
Messi was pure class
I'm a bit worried about kroos though, he started well at Real Madrid but now his performances keep on dropping
I agree. Yesterday I watched the game with a good friend and his Catalan girlfriend; obviously we all supported Barça. But for the first time I actually said the players (including the Barça players) are all a bunch of whining pansies.

In the clásico, if a player doesn't dive, then he'll try to influence the ref somehow. Neymar was a disgrace; just f*****g carry on playing when you're hit, don't go down that easily. Suárez isn't half as bad as he used to be at Liverpool, but I'd still like him to try to stay on his feet more. Needless to say I think Real is twice as bad; they don't just go down easily but also play like butchers when they're losing. At least that's something Barça players never do.

But games like the one yesterday make me miss Puyol: he was the manliest of men in Spanish football. No-nonsense world class players are very rare these days.
+2
Totally agree, ridiculous display!
Robben out with hip injury. f**k this could be bad for us.
"several weeks"
Losing a game is not a problem, that happens from time to time. But the way we are losing to Gladbach is. Favre manages to outsmart Guardiola on a consistent basis. And I think we are going to see this again in the CL against an equally organized team.
+2
we just play s**t.
gladbach always was one of our bogey opponents- don't overrate this game, although the lack of creativity and ambition in this game is worrying
I'm not overrating it. I just see a weakness to which the team still has no answer....yet.
Whole team played s**t today especially neuer. Congrats to Gladbach, they deserved to win they had a better plan and had more chances to score. But pep seems like he doesnt learned anything, we always get our asses kicked when the other team sits back and waits for counter.
agreed that i think it could happen in cl again
bullcrap
Muller and Goetze are so s**t atm , like so useless , the team plays with no ideas .., it's like they forgot how to attack ....
muller has been involved in 9 goals in his last 5 bl games
+1
What I mean is that he is not a creative player like he replaced robben , so he needs to step up his game and fill up robbens shoes , we are lacking the element of magic ...
I know what you mean but he just is not that type of player - I agree with götze though, he's the one to dribble past one or two opponents and he just doesnt seem to get there atm
