I feel for Dortmund fans really I do. However, we've lost LOVED players in the past too. When Basti wanted to leave we (I personally) were VERY upset, but I choose to respect his decision... Same with Kroos, Ballack and many other players. But we have also kept MANY MORE players in the club even after retirement.

I know it's hard for some people to hear, but Dortmund fans should point fingers at their own management instead of Bayern. Both Lewandowski and Hummels voiced their interest to join Bayern rather than other clubs. Blaming us for their decision is childish.

Like I didn't blame Man United or Real Madrid, or Basti and Kroos, Dortmund fans shouldn't either.

IMO, BVB like Bayern own the privilege of having two the most passionate fans in the world. Being upset and angry about your favorite player is understandable and is a big of supporting your favorite club, but putting blame on others is just childish. Let's not be like Barca fans when Figo left for Real!
Their own fault imo.
He said he wants to win titles and BVB can't even beat shitty liverpool in the EL.

It's totally childish to rage about this s**t.
Behavin like any football player should give a s**t about his own wishes or desires and do as it pleases the fans. He's a human being after all, any football player or any human should do what he wants to do. Who are they or we to judge their decisions or beliefs? Just because they're fans , does it make them their bosses? Employees come and go, players come and go. I know hummels may have said some things that may contradict his actions now.
But to all of those who call him traitor etc, just think about this:
how often have you changed your goals, your employer or your preferences during your 20's?
So you're telling me this is completely fine? Its like I have a company and one of my sales person quits and gets a job at one of my direct rival companies. Then one of my employees gives him s**t for it, becomes a really important member of my company then does the same thing he gave the other guy s**t for.

Hummels is the captain. Yes he's a Bayern youth product but he made his name in Dortmund. He talked s**t about Gotze for leaving and now does the same thing. He may not be a traitor but he's definitely a hypocrite and a snake.
well yeah, as I said it might not have been the smartest move to say these things about gotze and then leave as well.
But I was talking about the decision itself. And it is completely understandable from my point of view that you change over the years. That's human. Don't tell me youve never done something you would have refused to do a few years before. Dude people wanted to crucify bieber a few years ago and are now goin crazy about his new album lmfao

What I want to say is, After all this is professional business. When you have a sales company and one of your guys quits, so what. There are tons of other guys out there, you make some interviews and scouting and you'll have a replacement in a minute.

People are takin this thing way too personal. there are so many other things to rage about smh
I know we are gonna have to hear it from almost everyone who isn't a bayern fan on how we conduct our transfers in regards to our oppositions in Germany. H*ll i remember the stick we got and endured for signing Gotze and deservedly so.

We have gone after hummels in the past and although he is a bayern youth product, he didn't want to return to his old club:choosing instead to remain with BvB.

This time around he wants a move to Bayern, I mean he could have requested a move to anywhere else, barca, man u and the likes but he chose bayern instead. Are we supposed to turn down a player we consider world class and one we pursued in the past especially with our defence in shamble as it is?

That's my two cents and none of what i say means anything to BvB and rightfully so but for the rest of the world ,pls move on to some other story.
I feel sorry for Dortmund fans I really do, but when a world class CB wants to join you who would be stupid enough to not sign him?
Instead of blaming Bayern, they should be blaming their own board for to letting this happen in the first place, he is their captain ffs. And to all the people who are complaining that Bayern are taking apart Dortmund, you would never mind a bit about Dortmund if Hummels signed for your own club.
Boy that Denis suarez boy is a gamer. Too bad Barca's got a buy back clause on him. What's with the La liga and buy back clause btw?
What's with Bayern's buy-all clause for Dortmund players? :(

You can nail us on the cross for our past transgressions but for this one we had no hand in it. Your captain wanted a move away. I'm sad for Bvb and happy for Bayern.
Haha Pool fans complaining about a team being defensive and parking the bus when only yesterday they thought Atletico was the bomb.

Not taking any thing away from Atletico, for Atletic fans, but i just love the irony here that's all.

congrats on signing another dortmund player! Lol. hummels has asked to transfer to bayern. confirmed by borussia dortmund.

Does it help our case that he requested to leave BvB for us and/or that he is our youth product?.... It's a homecoming for him.
personally, yes, i think so. it's just unfortunate for dortmund but they'll probably go and sign the next rising star cb. maybe manolas or umtiti.
Not our fault that Dortmunds players want to join Bayern
To all of u who think coman is a better choice then ribery and gotze on the wing. Forever u will lose in champions league!!
I dont know who said that, but Coman is a better winger than Gotze for sure
+12
come on man gotze played on the wing for bvb for a couple of years before reus came on! He is much more experienced then coman. Coman is a better version of Jordan Ibe at liverpool.

Muller even to played on the wing for awhile if you guys remember.

Please don't put pressure on a 19 year old, while the coach misplays almost every player on the pitch. He was ok imo. Poor Alaba is not a CB and Xabi shouldn't have played, he's too slow for this kind of game and Mueller shoud've...... sigh......
+1
Ease up man. Coman wasn't the best player on the pitch but he wasn't the worst either. I even wanted him off but lay off the kid. He is a good player but i think this game was always gonna be a tough test for him.

And Gotze really?? Gotze hasn't done anything resembling class ever since he scored the world cup winning goal, so enough with this Gotze talk. What good is it if he can replicate his wing play at BvB for us?

Let's look past the little sentiments here and objectively analyse Gotze.....Any thing less than a complete flop is really fair to him. I love tyhe man and pray he finds his form for us, or for a new team and definitely for Germany.

is coman better than martial? the question was posed on espn and they laughed and said martial isnt even close. this was right after the games vs juventus and i think coman scored and created one in the game at bayern.
Right now maybe Martial and i say that because it's really too close to call. They are both youngsters and have a bright future ahead if they can realize their respective potentials.

Right now tho, there isn't any real defining moments separating these two but martial has made the better impact during the duration of the season while Coman through no faults of his, i mean bayern is stacked with good players, can't lock down a spot.

Think about it this way Coman mostly got a starting berth because of Robben's absence. He can't at this time displace Robben and neither can Martial.

Give it some time and we would be able to objectively tell who the better one is.
@Ramin I dont think Coman gives a f**k about pressure, his confidence is unbelievably high
Should have performed better. Could have been worse though. There is still a chance to go through to the finals but we need to play smart this time, no all-in mentality, we need a clever defensive concept.

If we manage to approach the 2nd leg with the mentality of leading the game with a 1-0 advantage after 90 minutes I think we can pull it off in extra time. Should we allow even one goal to Atletico it's game over.

Thiago was horrible and should have been taken off earlier. Coman had no chance against Luis, who imo was MOTM (besides Saul obviously) for Atletico. Exceptional defending!

Only one to praise on our side tonite was Vidal, he was the only one who was spot on from the first minute and showed physical presense all over the pitch.

I think it is fair to acknowledge that Atletico is the best team in Europe atm. Their defensive/offensive mix is special and to be honest, if we should get knocked out I wish Atletico to win by kicking out Real in the finals.

Side note: this was the 3rd consecutive away-loss of Pep against a Spanish team in the past 3 years. To his defense though, this time I do not consider it his fault, tactically a bit more balanced this time.

I think bayern did alright. Atletico plays the game based on the fact that teams like bayern, barca and real will push to score. Any team that plays an open game will give opportunities to score. Barca, imo, made the mistake of pushing to score even though they had the lead. They should have wasted time holding the ball in their own half and forced atletico to step out of their pockets.

Bayern played well. I'm not sure why muller wasn't started in this game. Injury? A strong player like muller who can hold up against tough tackling from atletico is needed. You guys are very strong at home and when the Allianz arena erupts it makes every opponent uncomfortable. You guys were a bit unlucky and a bit wayward with your shooting.

I'm sure pep will fix this by next week.
+3
@Crxxxx you got everything spot on bro

I think Muller was dropped due to Pep wanting to surprise the opposition .. Simone is one of those coaches who studies the oppositions team closely and based on their style of play and players he forms his strategies..
When was the last time Bayern won an away match in knock out stages?
Serious question
2013
Thats sad
I don't blame Pep at all for that poor poor goal we conceded. He experimented and tried to go outside the box. I hold him accountable for the thrashing at the hands of barca and real but not this match. At some point we have to start holding our players accountable. It's very easy to point the finger at Pep.

Alaba was the last man standing between neuer/goal and Saul. He should have done better.
"He experimented and tried to go outside the box" I think coaching a team for + 150 games and in a CL semi final doesn't call for "an experiment."

Also, Alaba is NOT a cb. Let him play where he shines.

But God are those Atletico players impressive....They're like freaking robots, shifting from side to side to stymie any bayern attack. Our wing play is so so predictable, i mean come on play through the middle much???!!!

Just an absolute confidently well-drilled team nonetheless in spite of their not so sporting behaviors.
+1
impressive indeed. Very strong team!!
