We are going to experience two beautiful clashes between two full power offensive teams. I hope for two games full of goals and spectacle and may the most offensive team qualify to semis.

Marmitton

you guys gonna win the league this year :P
Ahah, Monaco is definitely stronger and more consistent this year so at least we can compete with PSG which are struggling with Unai Emery as their new manager.

At least PSG won't dominate Ligue 1 this season!

Hi monaco fans so i have been keeping up with the french league but i don't watch monaco play. So my question is how does monaco play. Are they attacking or are they defensive. I am asking this because we have just fired our coach and we have been linked with Leonardo Jardim, which i think is good but i haven't seen his teams play so i want to know how he forms his teams.
(2 months later)
Monaco is a defensive team. Honestly, this year is pretty boring for us.
Although the biggest reason for that is our lack of striker. We simply don't have dominant offensive players, at least for nom.

Jardim is a good coach, he is always able to build competitive teams, proof is that Monaco is currently second. However he tend to make weird line-up decisions with the players that he likes. Helder Costa is a freaking ghost yet the guy is still in the starting lineup.

But good coach overall, he would be amazing with Porto.
That was a hell of a game. Probably our most important game for years. After we got promoted back only less than 2 years ago, Monaco had the immense opportunity to compete in the Champions League, finish first in the group table and face Arsenal in the Last 16.

So far, this was a tremendous year for us and losing to Arsenal would not have been a big deal as it was already a huge thing to be there.

And yet... WE DID IT! I can't believe Arsenal only scored one goal, Giroud had so many opportunities it is absolutely ridiculous that he didn't score any goal. Thank you Olivier.

That first (very lucky) goal delivered us and allowed us to play confidently and fearlessly. Defensively, Arsenal made it even easier for us. At this stage of the competition, you just can't hope to win a game with that defense. On Monaco's side, Kondogbia and Moutinho completely nailed it. Our midfield was insanely strong, and no possession was easily lost during that game.

I'm over the moon, really.

congratz on the win....
so the news in portugal is that monaco will be taking either the benfica coach (jorge jesus) or the sporting coach (leonardo jardim). the boat is tipping for the sporting coach to be the ranieri successor. either way monaco will be in good hands with which ever one they choose. jardim who took, in his first year, after sporting placed 7th last season to second place this season with a bunch of sporting academy players (so u21 and younger) them at a national team level (like william carvalho 22 year old, who will most likely be in brazil for portugal). and jesus who took benfica to 2 consecutive europa league finals (yeah they lost them but still the journey was long and harsh) and most importantly has made benfica over 200 mil euros with players like matic, coentrao, witsel, david luis, ramires, di maria, and many others. so these coach will take u guys really far so i wish u the best for next season.
so its official leo jardim is now the official coach of AS monaco for the next few seasons (don't know the actual number of years). he is a great coach and i hope that he can become very successful at monaco.

oh and his says the first thing he will do is start to learn the french language, which is great.

Berbatov is beautiful.

Can't wait for him and Falcao to get on the pitch together.
Wow.

Berbatov will not be able to replace Falcao, but he is a very smart and logical player. He uses tactics instead of endurance and stamina. I think he will fit in just fine. GO BERBA !!!
