It's pretty funny how you guys switch from a good manager to a seemingly better one every time. I remember S'ton fans were all very disappointed to see Nigel Adkins go, then Pochettino does even better and now Koeman (though it's early days) even improved a squad that was bled dry.
Majority of fans thought saints would going to get relegated, but I always thought they did a pretty good in transfer market, too early, yet they play better football than last season and am really happy with that:)
When Poch left I really wanted Adkins to return but Koeman has me over the moon now. I never doubted the players he brought in though, very good quality and thought they would needed time to gel but that's been proven wrong as well; they hit the gate running. Only issue will be when injuries start to come and depth issues surface, so we can only hope it doesn't happen
Well done Southampton!
8-0 incredible win
Incredible the way Koeman built up a completely new team after just one match. Now all Soton need is a completely fit team for the rest of the year...

Agreed, I had my doubts at first but he's really proving himself well, especially after the main consensus was that the team was done for. Replaced all the departures really well, hopefully the team stays healthy
Even with all the departures, there's still plenty of potential for this squad. The Liverpool game was promising, imo Soton deserved a draw that game, but today's game against WBA was pretty dull. The team probably just needs to gel a bit more but outside of Tadic, there was little offensive threat. Pelle needs to adjust quick, look very isolated and poor out there. The good news is that left sided duo of Bertrand & Tadic is very threatening and Forster proving to be a great purchase. Jay Rodriguez couldn't come back soon enough though
And so it begins, Lambert gone Lallana and Shaw going today, who will be left!
Lee going too.
Don't forget Lovren & Chambers, with Morgan soon to follow after handing in a transfer request...
Not to worry, Koeman is here!
I hear Southampton soon may become richer than City and Chelsea.

I am kind a sad because of that as I liked to cheer for you as some sort of an underdog with a philosophy I could admire.
Where did you hear this? Our owner is super rich but the club has always been run responsibly (at least since being saved from administration).

The ethos (at least under Cortese) was to develop talent and give them a chance so I hope and pray that continues.

Well this is now around 3 weeks ago, and it was just some speculation, but apparently some Chinese business guy was in talk about taking over Southampton, I can see if I find the article again but most likely since there were no follow up story, it was just another rumour.

EDIT! Found an article about it (I first read it in a Norwegian newspaper and can't find the original source)

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/southampton-takeover-chinese-billionaire-wang-3036588

Wang Jianlin
Forbes magazine ranked him the 128th richest person in the world with US$8.6billion in 2013. In August 2013, he was listed by Bloomberg as the wealthiest person in China.
i will not want this! philosophy must maintain!
