Newcastle, Southampton in contact for FC Volendam keeper Robbin Ruiter


Newcastle United are interested in FC Volendam goalkeeper Robbin Ruiter.

Toon boss Alan Pardew is considering Ruiter as long-term cover for fellow Dutchman Tim Krul. Southampton are also interested in the shot-stopper.

The 24 year-old keeper's minders are in contact with both English clubs ahead of the winter market.

Southampton to make bid for Coventry’s Jutkiewicz


Championship league leaders Southampton are believed to be heavily interested in Coventry City striker Lukas Jutkiewicz.

The Saints made a play for the 22-year old former Everton man during the loan window but were unsuccessful in their endeavours, however, it is believed Nigel Adkins is heading back to Ricoh Arena to strengthen his squad.

Jutkiewicz has netted eight goals so far this term and Southampton want to add him to their playing roster as they strive for promotion to the Premier League.
