Swansea, Wolves try again for Middlesbrough attacker Marvin Emnes


Premier League clubs are circling Middlesbrough for striker Marvin Emnes.

The Daily Mail says Boro are bracing themselves for bids from Swansea and Wolves for striker Emnes ahead of the January market.

Swans failed with a bid for the young Dutchman in August.

Middlesbrough not about to sell Newcastle target Williams


Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray has made it clear that Rhys Williams is not for sale.

Reports earlier this week suggested that the Australian international was being chased by Premier League club Newcastle United, adding to previous interest from Bolton and Aston Villa, but Mowbray says the 23-year old is definitely a required Boro player.

""I think Rhys falls into the category of being a big part of what we've achieved so far," Mowbray said. "

"I think it would be hard to sell the idea to our supporters, to me, to the rest of the team to let Rhys go.

"Even if it was a scenario where Rhys thought 'wow, such a big club has come in,' but I think he understands the support and help this club has given him over the years through his injuries and I don't see a scenario where we sell any players we don't want to sell.”
