For people saying falcao's performance against bahrain means anything, Nicklas bendtner scored a hat trick against the USA. would you say he is now a world great? not to mention that bahrain ranks 104 in the world 40 mil is a big gamble to be taking on him and would personally rather we went with someone else. Bahrain was pitiful in that game and any decent keeper would have stopped a good amount of the goals including those of falcao. Do not get carried away as if he did something amazing in that game because he did not. Also yes some players do lose it quickly. look at torres. even at atheletico, he is half the player he was during his liverpool and early athletico madrid days.
Dude, he's still a United player and people wanna see him do well, It doesn't mean that they are gonna splash the 50 mil to get him.
Just chill and hope that he will contribute while he is here.
+2
Its like when we finally scored against Yeovil, why we celebrated so hard when they are just championship relegation candidate? Its because we are United supporters, we are happy whatever the team achieves, whether it might not mean anything.
You guys are wanna watch this .. believe me ..!!

i am from new york city. many of my frds are supporting NYC FC and it saddens me that i can't ever support them as long as they are affiliated with man city.
My girlfriend was affiliated with Man City. Was.
There's always the Red Bulls.
red bulls play in new jersey....
so i decided to play ps4 after a long break of 2 months. and it happened to be against manchester city. so by 90th minute it was 3 : 3 and in injury time i got a free kick right outside the D. rooney was the free kick taker and it was a beauty. To top it up who ever it was he ran away and quit as losers!!!!!!!
LONG LIVE UNITED!!!!!!
What the point of quitting at the end when you still gonna get that L lol
i always think those people who quit at the end either were done playing and just turned the entire system off, or accidentally broke something or pulled the power plug.
probably rage quit,like this guy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvrjAeVKQB8
The most annoying situation is when they stop playing after they concede a goal or two and when you start running around with a goalkeeper they magically start playing again... Cmon
I'd just like to take a moment to remember how important RVP was in our 20th premier league title win, Lest we forget already!
+1
Hear hear.
Lets take a moment to remember how Nani won us trophies for the last millenium
I really want Pogba here; I think he could be a driving force in winning titles in the future, like Cantona was. The more I think about it, I think he'll go to Madrid. We sit here thinking, where will he fit there, they're already packed there .. but then thats what I thought about Rodriguez.. LOL. So.. by Barcelona's director's logic... Modric will be moved on ... because, lets face it .. he's the ugly one there.. LOL. Lets get Modric. hhehahea
+3
I agree, I think we need to give it a try and sign him back. I know he may go for other club, but he is simply what we lack. If we get him, midfield is set for the next 3-5 years? We will just focus on improving Defensive line then and look into striking options.
My fantasy signings for this summer would be Pogba, Hummels, Depay and Danilo. Then Harry Kane next summer. LOL
+2
How can you even entertain the idea of comparing Pogba to Cantona? One is a hired sword, the other a true samurai. One is a disrespectful traitor, the other a loyal hero.

It's ridiculous to keep running after Pogba while he has disrespected SAF and the club countless times in the media, stating himself he would not want to come back, and even tried to lure our own players away. Even if he becomes the best in the world I would not give a damn, would rather have someone less talented but committed to the club and honored the shirt, the history, the fans.

So many other viable options out there. Why the heck do we have to sacrifice our mantra to get back one that does not even respect it?
+4
Now now, he is not a traitor. Fergie just didn't consider him as early as Pogba had wanted and therefore agreed for him to find another club. He has not slated the club, his agent has. I'd welcome him back if he was willing.
+2
@Mustangs that's where you're wrong.

Carlo Ancelotti's recently made statement that indicated there was no room for the French midfielder "Pogba" in his team.

Days later Mino Raiola "Pogba's Agent" had this to say:
"Real Madrid is used to buy players as if they were towels, and when they're done with them, then they get rid of them in such fashion."

Further denying that his client playing for Madrid is as likely as people say. Take from it what you will. Pogba may or may not want to rejoin us, but no way is him going to Madrid a guarantee either.

@Drde you know too well that there was more to that story, than what you make it seem. Both parties made mistakes, it is what it is...
But, if there's the slightest of chances that Pogba might be willing to come back due to unfinished business...We would be a fool not to go after him!
+3
@mustangs you would sign harry kane after one good season? not even wait to see if he can replicate the goalscoring form in his second season
Pogba is on every top teams wishlist. Although I do think Madrid will lure him. Perez is always out for the hottest product and Pogba is the biggest in Europe. Khedira is already on his way out at the end of the season. Madrid might try to sell Isco,Modric or Illarrmendi and than go out for Pogba. Plus I won't take Ancelotti's word for it, he might not even be at Real Madrid next season.
I only hope Harry Kane is not another Andy Carroll
Depay would be the first name on my wish list. One of the hottest young prospects in Europe, plays in a position where we lack depth and has a connection with LvG already.
Earlier this year, Strootman would've been on it for sure too, but now I genuinely don't think it'd be a good idea to get him. I really like Schneiderlin and if he's available I'd love to get him too. I don't think he'd be that expensive either.
Dani Alves on a free transfer wouldn't be too bad either although his wages will definitely be on the high side.
I don't know if I'd be happy with us breaking the bank for Hummels. He's obviously an amazing player but he's pretty injury prone and his price tag will most likely be massive.

I'd sell my soul to have Pogba come back to us, lol. Whoever manages to sign him will have the best midfielder in the world for the next decade or so. I think I'd cry if we ever managed to get him back
@Drde: emotions aside (we still don't know the exact account) I compare him to Cantona in sense that Cantona was the piece that propelled us to title. We have a good squad.. What we need now is a tarismatic character. Pogba will dominate his position for years. The only thing worst than not having him would be him move to a Pl title contenders.

@cjaystacks: I did say Harry Kane after next season. I know the perils of one season wonders.
Pogba is scum

Shameful bastard.
we'll have to take your word for it
well.. halftime in colombia's game and falcao already has a brace

Against BAHRAIN

Hope it boosts his confidence.

meh , it is against Bahrain though,

may be that will boost his confidence and we can see the better of him in the near future!

@Karthik24 lool

Lol we're in sync
+3
A goal is a goal is a goal. He didn't score in the U21 match... Glad he's getting game time and hopefully some sharpness back into his game
+1
It might be against Bahrain, but if he was as awful or as past it as some people are claiming he is. He wouldn't have scored those goals either.

The difference is that he's getting service in that game or at least more than he usually does at Utd.

I'm not going to pretend like there weren't some goals he should've definitely scored when he was getting chances, but some people are foolish to really think that a player of his quality can lose all of it over night.
It isn't as "Black & white" as people think. I wouldn't be surprised if he moved to another club and continue his career like his "stunt" at United never happened.

....then those same people will be outraged and murmur about what could've been.
+4
It might be against bahrain but how many times have we played him through on goal this season? apart from the game away at qpr I can't remember any
+1
so much more space in these clips than he gets playing for us
Looks like Soton is going to be raid again this summer. Poor them. What a team they could have had now along with Bale, Shaw, Chambers, Ox, Walcott...

Anyway, it looks like we are after Clyne but what about our midfield? I don't think we need a star signing now that our midfield seems to have finally clicked. However we still need back up in case of injuries or for the sake of having alternatives. We already have strength and height, tempo, creativity and box-to-box burst. What I think we lack right now is a CM a la Roy Keane, a tough tackler iron wall, who allows more attacking freedom to the 3 forwards.

Strootman is mb imo a risk we can afford since we are looking only for a back up anyway. And I think his price will drop massively after his second surgery. But I can also see why we do not want another Hargreaves.

Back to Soton then, Schneiderlin is not as good as Strootman at his best but he is close. More suited to our current system than Wanyama thanks to his passing. His contract will have 2 years left at the end of the season, which is perfect timing to harvest, or at least test the water. We will only have the likes of Arsenal or Spurs as competition, unlike for say Pogba.

Otherwise what CM do you think we should go after this summer? CB, RB and LF are priority sure but a cover CM is also important, especially if ADM quits.
Ward-Prowse is only player I want
+1
I know you like them young Somere ^^
+3
I'd get William Carvalho- a powerful box-to-box/DM. He's young and talented, the type of player LvG has always had in his teams.
+2
Well Khedira is set to leave, wonder if he'll fit in out squad here.
NO please no Khedira and no more players with serious knee injury pasts
+2
We need someone with one of these: Strong ego like Cantona, aggression like Keane, passing like Scholes, dribbling like Giggs, physicality like Vidic, stamina like Evra, speed like Ronaldo, finishing like Van Nistelrooy, set piece like Beckham.
+2
Yohan Cabaye? He may be willing to leave psg.
Ward prowse is their biggest prospect at the moment, they can't lose him
I say no to both Khedira and Strootman, we have enough players on the treatment table.
How has Carvalho fared this year? I'm dubitative regarding him. Is he any better than Schneiderlin? They should cost about the same.

Cabaye and Khedira I'm not fond either. Otherwise there is the Bender of Leverkusen.
Pogba, Carvalho, Kondogbia, Verratti or Vidal :) I'm greedy. Besides CMs, Depay looks tasty
Kondogbia and Verratti are good but will cost an arm and a leg for both fees and wages I'm afraid :(
^ Kondogbia's body build is PL ready, he can be a holding midfield if required. While Verratti will be like having another Herrera which is also sweet.

I thought Vidal is also having problem with his knee?
Lot of our targets will want to see if we qualify for the Champions League, other than that I don't think transfer fees and player wages are a problem for us, we are shelling out close to 350k a week for Ashley Young and Falcao alone this season.
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/02/06/article-2553489-1B225D2700000578-813_634x450.jpg
I don't know about Carvalho tbh. In all honesty I have barely ever seen him play but I heard he hasn't been great this season.

I would LOVE Schneiderlin. One of my favourite PL players. The guy is such a beast and he tried leaving Soton last season if I'm not mistaken and is likely going to look for a new club come this summer. Him and Herrera would be a wonderful partnership
Badge, Its not that Carvalho has been playing badly, but that last season he set a amazingly high standard where he racked up MOTMs almost every week and being one of the best players of the league during his first real year at sporting. There is a 15+ minutes video of everything about his first season, all the tackles, all forward passes, goals, assists everything. I hope its not been removed.

Btw Vidal has been playing really good these past months. Good sign. :)
lol Why is Smalling linked to Arsenal and Jones is also in their radar? Its seems that many players including Young and De Gea will be on their final year after this summer.

Who will we keep if we consider both their wage and contribution?

De Gea 75k (just give him 150k already, he's crucial)
Lindegaard 40k (Goodbye, we have Valdes)
Phil Jones 50k (Renew please)
Jonny Evans 65k (Goodbye)
Chris Smalling 60k (Renew please)
Rafael 60k (it seems LVG doesn't rate him)
Nick Powell 10K (I want him to have a chance here, LVG did recall him back from loan because he wasn't getting games so could that mean something?)
Young 118k (Too expensive?)
RVP 250k (Goodbye)
Henriquez 10k (Candidate as backup striker?)

Cleverley 70k (He isn't coming back I assume?)
Pereira (no clue what's happening)
Falcao 280k (goodbye even though I like him as a player)
Wilson's status? Expires this summer, LVG seem to rate him but no agreement yet.
+1
Young, Smalling and Jones are getting extensions I heard, which is only fair cuz the 3 of them have performed well. Idk if Young will accept a pay cut tho.

Wilson contract is odd. Mb there is a clause we can activate that's why the club is so silent on this matter. Or he already has extended his contract without the media knowing? Idk

DG I believe he will decide at the end of the season whether we are in CL or not

RVP I bet he will not get an extension on this form. Hope he can recover tho and if he does, a year on year contract afterwards like Carrick. Otherwise he will leave by himself anyway.

The rest I think is as good as gone or stayed in reserves. I will be gutted for Rafa and Pereira tho if that's the case.
