http://thepeoplesperson.com/2017/03/27/gianluca-di-marzio-kylian-mbappe-why-has-bewitched-jose-mourinho-177231/

Di Marzio claims us and half of Europe want Mbappe.

Edit: he never said we tabled a bid, that was just paper talk. My mistake.
It's most likely horse, there are no competitive games during International breaks and this results in bull sh*t transfer stories of the highest order. I'm sure if any club made an 110m bid there would be more flutter than just the Express talking about it. Not too sure they value him more that that either. He's scored 20 goals in the French league, not in Spain or England
+5
No, di marzio is one of the most reliable journos out there. If he's saying we tabled a bid then it most likely happened.

That said, he didnt say we tabled a bid lol.
+1
Agree with what Vaaz said. Reliable journo or not, it sounds like rubbish and no club(however rich) would be daft enough to make an opening bid of 110m for a player who has had half a season.
+2
Lol wait he never said we tabled that much, that was my mistake, I mis-read that article.
Alright so it's looking like we'll be in a shady spot this weekend as far as midfielders go. We're down Pogba (hamstring), Bastian (sold), Herrera (suspension), and Fellaini recently picked up an injury, which means we're left with Carrick and a TFM who hasn't gotten a lot of minutes.

Part of me hopes Tim can help anchor down the midfield with Carrick, but I doubt Jose would trust the two of them to do it. The 3/5 at the back would be another option, but also not sure if Jose will want to switch in Bailly directly for Jones (toe), who had that RCB spot the past few weeks.
Go ez on them, TFM is enough
Hoping TFM. Let's all be honest though, we know it won't happen
Physio room estimates pogba could be back soon, Many slander him but he is crucial for our midfield, we can't go back to the mediocrity that was last year and he has offered more than what his stats (goals/assist) suggest
we'll have to be creative in the middle but i think we'll cope. is this the last game without ibra?
Carrick, Rooney, and TFM in the midfield maybe?
Rooney's injured too :S
I'm thinking there could be a chance that he is back by the weekend but maybe it's just wishful thinking
rooney's not injured, he's s**t lol
blind supposedly can play in midfield btw
Blind plays CM/DM for the Dutch team, but for some reason, both LVG and Mou turned him into a defender. IMO he can be a good DM too, he doesn't have the pace but he could use his experience as a CB to his benefit. His passing is also decent.
But Blind and Carrick aren't going to play in the same midfield
blind plays LB/LWB/CB for the dutch team, but he played midfield for ajax.
So there's been talk we tabled record bids for Mbappe and Neymar.. knowing Woody, I wouldn't be surprised. Of course Neymar isnt going anywhere, but you gotta have ambition in your signings if you wanna be the best and we are the richest team in football ;)

We obviously are not signing Greizmann Neymar and Mbappe but looks like it'll be an active summer for us.
Times have changed, and really the only way to compete with the likes of Madrid, Bayern, and Barca (on the continental scale) is to spend like them. We're still a little unbalanced as a team though, so hopefully we address that and still keep cultivating youth like Rashford and TFM.
Why are you not signing Greizmann and Mbappe?

I agree Neymar sounds nonsense but the other two are quite possible

Damn Mbappe was a terror against City
Its a load of nonsense, according to the tabloids both Chelsea and Utd have made bids for Neymar, while Neymar has made a bid for Coutinho lol. b******s.

Griezmann looks more probable. I'd like Mbappe too but there is always a risk that he turns out like Depay
Well I meant we're not signing all of them, so clearly someone is wrong. Maybe they're all on the shortlist of potential targets.
Neymar has made a bid for Coutinho. What does that even mean?
He obviously means Barca. Although, Neymar can afford to buy Coutinho all by himself if he is really feeling that lonely. :P
+1
Yeah, I obviously referred to the fact that Neymar, being a barca player, has been tapping Coutinho up at Brazil's international squad break.
broken bone is usually 6 weeks out at least.. smh

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/10816326/phil-jones-set-for-tests-on-toe-as-manchester-united-await-news
Once again the club is a mute spectator to international b.s. with 3 key players injured this time.
I can understand if player get injured playing in WC/Euro or for Germany or Spain as they actually win something, or even France etc their national sides do something but to lose 2 players to England NT which is such a mediocre team is total BS
+1
Just stop, you can't blame players for playing for their national team. Yeah, it sucks they got injured but that's life.
+8
England have as much of a chance winning the WC as Moldova do. I think it's a waste of time and taxpayer's money
+1
Club gets compensated for the wages, that's the most FIFA can do. They can't actively stop injuries from happening.
Felly latest victim of internationals...
+1
That means Carrick is the only midfielder for the next few games?
Meanwhile Fosu's ass will still be glued to the bench
+1
And wrapped in duct tape just to be sure
I don't understand how Hart starts above Forster in every England game. he is absolute garbage. Screwed England in the Euros, has been horrible for his club in Italy , has a mistake (or 5) in him every game.
Forster has made quite a few mistakes as well. Personally, Pickford should be taking over very soon. If Ben Foster(not sure if he still is retired) is available, he should be 2nd choice.
Forster isn't a good choice either, tbh England doesn't have a top class keeper
hart has had some exceptional games. not many, but he's not a 'horrible' keeper.

he's not as good as neuer or de gea but he deserves his place.

pickford or butland - if he recovers from injury - have more potential imo
imo I think Hart definitely deserve his place at City
it's not about saves, it's about the system. hart is a decent enough stopper but does tend to lose concentration and make stupid mistakes. he's not at city because he isnt as comfortable playing out of the back and that's a key feature for a pep side.
Na I'm fine with Bravo so far this season
+3
Defoe should be England's first choice any day.
+1
Lol... A game between two minnows
Apart from Kane, don't see anyone who is better than Defoe right now.
Not even Kane. Defoe should start every game. He is getting better with age and he is the best striker England's got. Let him retire and then Kane can have his shot.
Best Finisher? probably. Best Striker? Don't think so. More to Kane's game than Defoe's. He should be playing as long as he isn't forced to take corners!
Next fixtures:

West Brom (H)
Everton (H)
Sunderland (A)

9 points from these game will open up possibilities for us to fight for 2nd and 3rd instead of just going for 4th. City will be playing Arsenal and Chelsea along the way so let's hope we don't bottle it.
Spurs are pretty solid for 2nd place with an easy run in. Plus everytime we have a chance to make up some ground or try to get ahead of ourselves we usually blow the s**t out wi a couple of home draws..:P
We have been very similar situations before and if capitalised those we will be challenging Chelsea. West Brom is a solid team it will be a tough game. I will be not surprised if Sunderland goal keeper make few world class saves
So Mourinho looking for ivan perisic at croatia game?😏
Perisic didn't play 🤔
Is he that good? 😕
Nothin special. I actually dont think hes united material
He better than any of our "current" wingers 🤔
Mou usually takes hard working players as squad members who will work tirelessly for him
He had a pretty impressive Euro with amazing hair too 😊
Hairstyle now a requirement to join United. Take that Pogba!! Btw, mou's love with 28+ players is amazing.
Always been a fan of Ivan, such a hard working winger. Has a solid shot on him too
he was a beast at the euros
