RIP Chester Bennington
Little pea apparently close to a west ham move. Would be great to see him in the EPL again!
If he signs for them, his first match will be against UTD
I dont understand why we didnt go for him. Really. It boggles my mind.
He doesn't want to be a sub and honestly, although I love him, he isn't good enough as a starter
done deal
http://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2017/july/20-july/javier-hernandez-terms-agreed
Damn, he will haunt us
After watching videos of Lukaku closely, i believe he got the lot.

Being in the right position for tab ins.
The strength & speed to battle & beat defenders while on the ball.
The long range shot at goal.
The aerial challenge/header.
and some nice free kicks as well!

and what's his age again? 24? He's only going to get better!

Here's to a good season for us! Can't wait for EPL to start now.
Lukaku is great. We have solved our ST problem for sure.
In my opinion, the most important position right now for us is CDM. We really need to go for someone already. I don't want to wait till August to get those two more players Mourinho asked. They need to train with our squad before the season starts. Let's spend 100 something million and get these positions taken care. I just hate how slow we are. We are MU for god sake.
Didn't we bid more than 60M for Morratta?
+2
RM dont value DDG at £60m, so Perez is playing hardball with United. We should just overlook every player they have as there are always alternatives .ie Lukaku.
It's £60m plus addons up to £75m for Morata. Utd should bid on Danilo for fun and watch Perez asking for £50m
Wanted him, but waiting for him to flop now
+1
@Shiwa same with Lukaku bro.
+4
Haha, love the rivalry! Its going to get interesting.
I'm sure we did. But I would have been surprised to do business with the after the de gea saga lol
Ttk86 - Where did you get that 15m add-ons news from? I dint see anything on BBC yet.

£58m with add-ons rising to £70m is what other sources are reporting which is not confirmed by BBC yet
+1
Bazinga - My mistake, i meant to type 70. So far from what i have read, £59m-70m is what the English news reported. Spainish news (Marca, COPE) and Di Marzio reported €80m with 5m addons.

So Riola is Verratti agent now. Do we dare dream? lol
+1
oooh yes please woody!!
I can see more money involved. Not good deal.Smhh
+2
^ lol what... is it your money? No
I say put 100m because he is so worth it

If raiola lands us Verratti I won't ever say a thing about him again. He will be well worth the 25m agent's cut.
Herrera, Pogba , verratti is as world class as one can dream
+1
Haha not worth 100mil if buy him, said rivals..
Verratti is worth 100+ imo
I'm afraid how this figures were thrown around as its nothing . no midfielder worth £100m even in this crazy market. If Veratti worth 100m then Vidal will be 130m.
Vidal is 30, Veratti is 24.. so anyone buying Veratti is investing in 10 years while Vidal may not play so long. Thats why Veratti is more expensive...Bayern did rob Juve when they got Vidal for 35m
+2
Why do people always say that, 4 years is a long ass time. How does verati have 10 years but Vidal almost dead apparently?
Well I didn't say he is dead, but only an insane person would value 130m for Vidal. Apparently Inter want Vidal for 40m which in a fair price
With Veratti age is on his side even at 28 he can be sold for 150m depending on the inflation and transfer situation then.
It's no coincidence that all the young players are going for huge prices, because they have age on their side + also resale value
Vidal would have little to no resale value
+3
Its only down for Vidal, he'll only get cheaper each year. Verratti is a very good player who hasnt even peaked yet. Its that simple.
JM not happy about this transfer guys..

"We always want more," Mourinho told ESPN FC in an exclusive interview. "We always feel there is room to improve, and I cannot say that I am happy with our transfer window.

Man United manager Jose Mourinho has been left frustrated with a difficult summer window.

"What I can also say is that it is a difficult transfer window, and I don't blame anyone -- it is just a reality of things. The market is going in such a direction that many players are difficult to get, not to say impossible.

"Every club is powerful, and they don't want to sell or their demands are really high, so the market is difficult."

Mourinho said his objective is still to sign two more players, but even if they arrive before the end of August, the United manager says they will have lost crucial preparation time in preseason.

"Everton started really strong in the market without the Lukaku money," Mourinho said. "AC Milan, without selling players, are buying nonstop, so it depends on the moment, the objective, maybe on new owners.

"What I will say is that, a long time ago, we thought about four players to strengthen our squad, but it is really hard to do it. If we do the third and forget the fourth, I would be quite happy with that because I know it is difficult."
Here's the interview just in case you don't wanna read lol:

..
Do your f*****g job Woody!! Thats the msg from mou.
Lol last time Mou said he wasn't happy we got Lukaku in 2 days
Hoping for something similar:P
So apparently we missed out on Morrata and we got the Chelsea reject. Some Chelsea fan LOL!
Word of cold war are coming soon,lol..
True with small correction - Lukaku was Jose reject not Chelsea reject. And Jose recently admitted United 1st went after Morata and could not strike a deal. :P

Same way its true that United got Chelsea's 1st target Lukaku. So both got each others 1st target..Win - Win :P
+4
Jose was ur manager and so Chelsea sold him and Jose didn't say anything about Morrata being first choice. Where are u getting this from?

PS: you guys overpayed for Morrata FYI :P
When you make 1st bid for Morata and then come after Lukaku after Morata deal dint workout. it is crystal clear who was 1st target. Why should Jose even make announcement about that?

lol I can pull our posts about the overpay discussion we had where i clearly told 75m for Lukaku was fair deal in current market and when i said overpay it was about Pogba deal.

We sold Oscar for 60m in January this year and got Morata for almost same price..so how is that overpay? Anyways, we are happy with Morata deal and happy to accept Luakau > Morata comparison which will surely start like the Depay & Kagawa > Hazard :D
+5
cant wait for the Lukaku vs Morata shitshow
Great signing for Chelsea but lets face it, some of their fans have brains the size of a peanut.. by their own fan's admission :p

And lets not discuss every detail of this here lol. Man Utd wanted Morata, didnt want to do business with Perez, got Lukaku. End of story. Absolutely no need to come down to the level of c**k and bull stories others spread and argue with them
+1
Only time will tell🌋
Our first choice was Mbappe. Second choice Griezmann. Third choice morata. Fourth choice lukaku, if you go in the order of the bids

The club have said over and over that there were 4 targets. Lindelof was acquired early. Then di marzio says we bid over 100 million euro on mbappe, then we had a deal with griezmann only for that to fall with atleti's transfer ban. Then we started negotiating with morata but couldn't strike a deal with Madrid. Final option was lukaku. Time will tell if we made the right decision.

Anyways, last two targets are winger (perisic) and a defensive minded cm.
you guys would of signed Griezmann if AM didn't get the ban
So we really after mbappe after all?I thought griezzman our first choise..
Like every club was after mbappe
+1
This first choice thing is all relative as far as i can tell, i think there are players out there that would be everyone's first choice but can they buy them is another thing though. Without selling DDG for below his market value RM was going to try get some of that from any player going the other way. So RM players are overpriced for United while they want DDG.

Plus every transfer is a gamble with the potential for success or failure, but if Chelsea supporter were feeling aggrieved that we got Lukaku, they can feel better knowing they seem to have got Morata. Transfer karma maybe :P anyway both players are good and both teams will be strong.
I think Mbappe rumour was not really reliable. Utd has been after Griezmann for a while. I think he was supposed to be this season big signing. Too bad that AM got TF banned. So Griezmann was 1st choice.
our squad is bulging, if we get perisic and a CM there's really no excuse, we have to challenge for the title. my worry is if lukaku gets injured, or when we need to rotate. will we be too reliant on lukaku uptop? we'll need rashford and martial to really step up and improve their consistency.
i think they will improve consistency if they get the chance to play up top consistently which they almost never do. when rashford did get chances after ibra got injured, he did deliver scoring important goals in europa league. martial barely played two games in a row as striker iirc. i think it's unfair to expect them to be consistent when they don't get chances consistently. but i do agree they should score more even while being played on the wide areas.
+1
yes perisic + fabinho/dier and we should be good to go, although i dont think we will get any annoucements while the tour is still going on
also if you want to win the title, you dont play valencia on the wing and expect for cross to fail.

If you need defensive winger, integrate Fosu in the team. He is godly, there is no excuse not putting him in the team at this point sorry. He is consistent with small chances he gets.
+1
@StandardCritic1 - I've noticed your undying love for Fosu Mensah and I too share your enthusiasm for his game. He is a joy to watch and his pace is much needed. I feel he will learn a lot from Valencia, but for sure his crossing game is much better than Toni.

That being said our veterans (Carrick,Valencia,Young, even Smalling/Jones) will hopefully provide the maturity in keeping the team organized mentally and physically.
+1
i agree, I just wish we integrated youngsters more often. Valencia is also a beast, but not every part of his game is ideal and with age some players are easier to read. That's when youngest provide that additional depth in every other aspect.

We will see what will happen in new season, for now lets enjoy pre-season as young guys are doing great.

Apparently Inter won't budge from asking price of £49m and United only wants to go as high as £39m + addons which is more than fair imo. I hope Mou has other wingers in mind as UTD should just tell Inter to piss off
Glad we're finally playing hardball instead of just giving in, even if it means we miss out. I'm all for Martial getting more minutes.
i thought inter were asking for 50 million euro...
http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/inter-reject-manchester-uniteds-offer-for-perisic-they-want-martial-included-in-deal

They rejected €45m+5m and they want Martial? UTD should just end this discussion.
I won't be surprised if another winger is signed now. Sucks for players like Morata and Perisic that they are stuck in clubs that either don't value them or which they dont want to play for;
Morata doesn't look like leaving RM, its highly possible that he will struggle to get playing time again and thus be overlooked for the Spanish World Cup squad. Perisic seems to have said he wants to play for Mou but is seemingly held hostage by Inter.

Morata already leave for cfc,lol..
Yeah good move for him. We should have got both him and Lukaku tbh.. he is quality
Perez just being perez, they got issue with united about degea transfer then reject our bid for morata the same price they sold morata to chelsea.lol
Yeah he is just sour. Atleast DDG wont be going to RM anytime soon.
He actually sold him to Chelsea for 2m less than what we bid lol. Shows his petty bias.

2m less to compensate for hazard's fee which will be decided next summer lol
Damn just saw Mkhi's goal, he's on fire.. cant wait to see him this season, hopefully he shows his true ability. one of the few players out there than can get 15+ goals and 15+ assists.
yeah I'm afraid of his 2nd season. Brilliant player.
Love Mkhi! Im sure he will do well in upcoming season, unless Mou destroys relationship..
+4
Will Jose give him enough chances?
mkhi starts when fit lol. he's too good to leave on the bench. he was benched early last season as he was adjusting to the league, but he has too much quality to be on the bench when fit and was a starter at the end of the season.
