so what? are we not allow to spend what we earn? are we living in north korea now? compare these to club revenues and all is in proportion.

also mean that unlike you we do not sell our best players away to leverage expense. mc and city have spend more to build their squads and will have to do so again soon if not for FFP.

Open letter from Alvaro Negredo to City fans:

Dear Manchester City fans,

Today I say goodbye to a magnificent club as it is Manchester City. I want to thank the club for helping me become a better footballer and for making me and my family feel at home during my time here.

About a year ago Manchester City, a club that will remain in my heart, gave me the amazing opportunity to play in England. And for me winning the Premier League, Capital One Cup and scoring 23 goals in a season is a dream come through.

After this year I can only say thank you to the club, to the fans that have supported me since the first day I wore this jersey and of course thank you and good luck to my team-mates, who helped me settle in since day one not only as a teammates but as friends.

Today I say goodbye to Manchester City but I take with me many memories, lessons and great moments that will live with me forever. It has been one of the best years of my football career.

At last I want to wish Manchester City many success for the future and thank the club for giving me the opportunity to sign for Valencia, a club to which I want to give back all the trust they ahve given me and start a new season with many success.

Thank you with all my heart.

Alvaro Negredo

Yeah his pretty much gone, its more then a loan deal but its certainly disappointing to let a man who notched 23 goals for us last season go this soon.

For now when Kelechi Iheanacho gets his work permit he deserves a shot at the first team as a 4th choice. For a 17 years old he showed lots of confidence and at this moment and could be our breakout star.
I just read Kelechi Iheanacho will be with us in October/November when he turns 18 and can get a Visa.

If true that's huge news. I'm sorry, but I have not been impressed with any of Guidetti's performances and I believe thinking of him as capable of being our 4th choice striker is just wishful thinking.

Kelechi on the other hand looks like an absolute nightmare for defenders, I got to see his debut in person and he was easily the best player on the pitch that night. I hope we get to see him involved in at least the Cup games this year!
The Beast, Richards and all the others who left - Thanks for your service to City and good luck in your new clubs!!

Check this out guys:

If only Aguero stays fit...

Negredo joins Valencia on a season long loan with obligation to buy him
http://mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2014/September/Negredo-joins-Valencia

Meantime, Emyr Huws has joined Wigan Athletic on a permanent deal.

http://mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2014/September/Huws-joins-Wigan

Micah Richards has left to Fiorentia

http://mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2014/September/Micah-joins-Fiorentina
I'm not very happy with either of these developments. Especially losing Negredo. Pellegrini can be quite stubborn and almost always starts 2 strikers, which necessitates having 4 so we can compete in all 4 competitions.

It's good that Aguero and Jovetic never get injured! Oh wait...
So it means Guideti, Sinclair and Nastatic will be either loaned to Championship club or they will be hang in their at least until Jan transfer window.
The negredo transfer isn't terrible.
Valencia has an obligation to buy which means the funds we receive for him will count for the next calendar year. We are currently well within the spending cap we were given for this window. Now we can spend in January if we have any problems or wait until next summer to spend big on a top player
+1
Still, loaning out Negredo is a terrible idea. We need at least 2 target men or CF on the team, the only one we have is Dzeko and what happens when his injured or out of form. I just think having 3 forwards isn't good, especially when two are injury prone. We have to really make sure no one gets injured but that's not a given.

Also wtf with selling Emyr Huws to Wigan??? By far one of the best upcoming youth protects from our academy and has impressed last season on loan and already in Wigan and then we let them sign him on a permanent deal??? We have to keep our upcoming youth products with talent not just sell them. Unreal!

Maybe we finally get to see guidetti part of first team action now, we will miss the beast good luck to him
We wanted to sell Guideti as well. A lot of reports said he was in Celtic but deal could not go. But now he may be our 4th choice striker until Jan.

Personally I prefer that Nigerian boy over Guideti but we have not signed him yet, maybe some issues for work permit and other stuffs. He is like Sturidge, quick, talented and tries to shot as soon as he gets ball in good area.
We'll be fine guys...Jovetic is like a new signing!!
Micah arrives in Florence...

Great club and beautiful city, see you Micah

He looks so happy! I'm glad he can go to a club where he can play.
Imagine getting to live in Florence while making incredible sums of money and playing the game you love. So jealous! I wish him all the best, but I'll miss his infectious laughter on CityTV.
We go after your example and now have 4 top class strikers too. Let's the rest be jealous!
4 top class strikers?? Is Welbeck among them?? U are high mate lol
+4
lmao absolutely funny comment by snitch. i was trying to find the four top strikers you were referring to Drde.
Imo, getting a world class CB on loan would have been a better plan then a striker in this case. Utd back-line is horrendous and I don't know if Marcos Rojo is going to enough.
+3
Negredo has left so we just have only 3 top strikers
all g's guys,we have cleverly,he's refused to leave :D
....
haha i meant RVP Rooney Falcao and Wilson. but 3 is also good :)
First off, very disappointing results take place when you think one game in the PL is walk in the park and that's how I felt our players where playing right until Stoke City scored. A win against Liverpool and we came in over confident which Stoke gave us a reality check. Slip ups happen but City lacked imagination and drive, the team was off.

ON the other hand,I'm not a fan of the Jovetic&Aguero pairing just because I feel like they are too similar type players and you don't want that on the field, you want to have a target man with aerial ability which comes in the names of Dzeko and Negredo but with Negredo out it just shows how important keeping Dzeko healthy is for us. MP should have changed his formation and brought Fernandiho and Fernando and drove Yaya forward and let him run havoc in the box with a dude his size he would have to got one in and Fernandinho has taken loads of shots from distance which would have trouble Begovic even more.

Anyhow props to Hughes, he had a plan and it worked. He marked our attacking players with at least 2 players from Stoke, gave City's attack little to none room to create anything and should more determination to keep us out by throwing their bodies around to block shots. They countered when City just stopped thinking and Mame Biram Diouf put in an unbelievable solo goal leaving City red faced.

Looking forward, the next 3 games are important and we need to win. Its going to be tough but we can do it!
+1
Credit to Mr Mark Hughes, he came with a plan and it worked. I think we played well but Mr Hughes men were well disciplined in their defending caught us on the counter and that's basically the story there. Well played sir.
What a game between Everton and Chelsea..... its crazy.
