I really hope united buy Stones. WOuld be a great weight lifted off our shoulders. Kids over priced and then some. Laporte will do just fine.
Talented and fits the home grown quota. Because of that EPL clubs will charge English players 30+mill for anyone, over hyping them, and then when major tournaments happen, they allll flop... the cycle of england
https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1061242/Live/International-Int-Friendly-2016-England-Australia

but he got MOTM

i didn't watch, he couldn't have been that bad. you just mean to say he's overrated? based off a performance? his price is for potential, most defenders peak late 20s, he's like 22.
I don't mind seeing Stones but he can't be our only CB that Pep signs. We need another experienced CB alongside Otamendi because Stones has a lot to learn.
stones is a liability.
The PL has ended but the story is still the same. Fabian Delph injured and out of the Euros. I think him and Kompany made a bet on who can pull more muscles!
I had high hopes once we signed him, now his looking more like another Jovetic. Takes one step forward, falls 20 steps back. I don't expect his situation to change next season as he won't find much playing time anyways. He won't last a game under Pep style.
Screw it, can we just resign Micah and Nastasic? Miss them both. Micah looks like his back to his fitness level, its bizarre he ended up with Villa. Nastasic, don't know why Pellegrini ignored the kid.
Your coach is Pep Guardiola, he plays a very unique style. Probably best to let him pick the players that work in that strange system that almost always produces results rather than your round of the mill managerial picks.
To be fair, since 2008 to 2016, we've only gone through 3 mangers. Some clubs have it worse.

I do agree with your point. Pep likes only specific players. Would be interesting to see the striker he brings in. He likes n9 that are good with the ball and can play off or with their MF. Kante would be perfect in our system. Although with Mou and Conte in the league, it will makes things tougher.
I don't see him relying solely with kun given his fitness problem.how Much I wish tevez could still here, lol.
Richards isn't even starting at Aston villa, I don't think he is city quality anymore
So Pep really wants Gundogan? Its tough, his got to have a surgery and will be gone for 4 months. If he does sign, I don't expect him to play until January. God, I hope his not an injury prone player. Although I hear his only going to be worth 26mil which isn't a bad deal, his young and if gets back to his fitness, his the CM where looking for.

Also being linked with Sassuolo RB and Croatian international Sime Vrsaljko who's been linked with Juve, Napoli and Roma. With only 11mil price tag, I will watch out for him in Euro 2016.

On another note, doesn't seem like were gonna sign Ayermic Laporte. He wants to stay at Bilbao.
he is a quality player..but he's probably available as early as august..with toure leaving..the cm that ll be available for cl playoff are fernando/dinho..with delph as backup..i think city need another quality cm before the cl playoff..but who?
I guarantee Gundogan isn't the only CM that comes in this summer..
Looks like we're going to miss out on those two outside backs and Laporte also.
Would like to see more english defenders such as Stones or Danny Rose if we could pry them away from their current clubs
^ I want more English player, no doubt. As an English club, we need more English players. Problem is, they are too expensive. Even the ones we think are cheap, prices double simply because were after them. Clubs know we want them badly and will milk us for even the most average ones. I would push for Cresswell put he might stick it out with the Hammers, Stones is a great player for the future but unless the name is Varane, I don't want us spending 30-50mil on a CB that thinks his Messi on the ball in the middle of a game. Other then them, their are no English players who we can possibly sign with quality or even worth the money. I would sign Cresswell, I'm on the edge about Stones but those are the only two possible English players we can sign. We got no chance with Rose.

As for the rest, Deanayer can play RB along with CB, so I want us to focus our strength on landing a quality LB. If I was Pep, I would go for Gundogan, another CM and Kante to get some much needed quality in our MF. Hell I won't mind seeing Delph go as well, his decent but nothing special.
You guys will be getting Stones since he wants to leave... Everton ant £45 mill for him tho lol
45mil, dafaq!
for city if the player want to come..any price city can pay...but as a commoners..it's a total ripoff for me..i rather use denayer and buy a monster dmf that can cover cbs better than fernando/dinho using that money
all of a sudden, another 30M to get Pogba doesn't sound so bad
+1
^Agree. Stones is not that good. Clubs would spend about 15m on him if he was not English
i rate stones. he's been shocking this season, but same could be said for barkley at times. i think martinez fell out with the team and it affected the young players but stones has quality. ferdinand thinks he's the best enlgish CB since his era and raves about stones. he has the qualities to be top of the line, just needs the right guidance.

personally though i would go for more established players if you want a starter but if you want to develop the talent stones is as good as it gets in england right now.
^ I rate him as well but our back line is so leaky, we don't have the time to develop. Before we could depend on Kompany alone now his injuries are so constant, we need another strong starter alongside Otamendi. Although I think Otamendi is a beast, his not a leader, Kompany can lead the back line on his own whereas Ota lacks it. Another strong CB along with Kompany and Deanayer, I think we would be fine.
Well the season has come to an end. While it was disappointing, at least we prevented a disaster.

Cheers to the transfer window opening, it ought to be busy enough to keep us entertained. Early apologies to the Arsenal fans, the rumors are swirling around sanchez which would have my blood boiling if I was a gunner.
Finishing top 4 is even better than UCl semis. Honestly, I'm glad this season is over, what a nightmare!

Hopefully the Euros, Olympics and Copa Centanrio along with the transfer window will keep us entertained for the summer.

I can't wait to see who Pep will bring in. If Sanchez joins us, I'm going to fall of my chair die of laughter. Even if the Gunners finished above us, he knows he ain't wining no title with them. Although I'll take Ozil over him.
i understand with sanchez rumor..but wtf with arteta and wilshere rumor..i dont think we need those two here even it is for free..i'd buy milner back..if i have to..haha
arteta is joining the coaching staff
Wilshere? No way, guy is barely fit and worse the Jovetic when it comes to injuries. Lots of potential but with this injuries his never going to hit heights.

I don't mind seeing Arteta join us and its honestly great for Arteta to learn from Pep.
@Nedved - buddy you say the darndest of things lol
Is our CL position confirmed even if Liverpool wins Europa?
Yes, if Liverpool win Europa, England will have 5 teams in CL this season and nothing will be changed for 4th spot team. So we need to be qualified by playing some play-off games.
a fcked up finish for a fcked up season..thank you swansea for giving us a point..i wonder how can guardiola fix this team next season
that means you still play in CL, right?
+2
probably..unless manunited won by 19 sumthing goals different
+1
@Nedved, well that finish got us a UCl place to fight for. Better than nothing.
Good hobble across guys :D
+2
CL confirmed.

This means we have to play the qualification games in August or so
^ Pretty much. August game. Its gonna be a real test. Any team playing pretty much has nothing to lose. All or nothing 2 leg match. Should be a great first test for Pep.

Anyhow, glad we least finished top 4 in a season where everything went wrong.
+1
a game where we should score more than one goals early on..somehow it's become 1-1 before half time..we are so wrong on many levels..and thank you fernando for your own goals..u can challenge skrtel or carragher if u continue playing for us
Nacho has been greedy and his first touch has been horrendous today. Aguero just hasn't been clinical today. We need a miracle!
Nacho's goal got us across though.
We have a non existent mid, it hurts not having Silva in the mid to help....Nacho is being very greedy this game as well. Swansea was disallowed a legit goal. We need to do better then this city!
