I am irked by our defensive frailties this season more than Chelsea's style of play as our manager pellegrini seems more focused on than our style of play. The majority of successful teams are actually built with a strong defensive plan. Even the great Barcelona teams have known how to close down quickly as a team to win the ball back. Until we improve vastly on our defense, never mind Europe, we can kiss the premier league title good bye each season. There is probably a reason Pellegrini has never won a title after his first full year in charge of a club sadly.
Its more or less of that. The problem is, our team plays like individuals rather than a team. MP for whatever reason is more concerned about our style, attacking style and has forgotten our defense as a whole. Last season our defense was a mess but our attack bailed us out so many times, this is season, well same old story. They reason why I envy Mou is because he forces his players to play defense as well, he sold Mata because he couldn't defend for him, he forces his player to drop back and defend. That's the difference between a smart manager and one dimensional manager.

Our defense next season:
CB: Rekik, Mangala, Kompany, Demichelis
RB: Zabaleta, ?
LB: Clichy, ?

I think we've got quality but we only need a break and some time to reorganize and a manager who can bring the best out of our defenders. On the other hand I heard Sagna might leave and Kolarov is going to be sold, are we buying two FBs?
I wouldn't mind getting two new Fbs, as long as they are quality or has the potential to be.
Me too, Sanga is getting like 80k a week for warming the bench and making a few appearances and his had more bad performances than good. Tbh, the move for Sagna is one I will never understand. I mean why???? We figured out now that we signed another Maicon and his probably going to leave at the end of the season. Kolarov for me, has been up and down, this season. His not defensive enough to start for us anymore, we need someone who's got more defensive ability and has more energy than Clichy.

I'm hearing rumors that we might land Augsburg LB sensation Baba Rahman. I've watched him play and boy is the 20 year good, I mean forget Ricardo Rodriguez, this kid has speed, strength, dribble, interceptions, ariel duels etc. His got a lot of tenacity and a good work ethic. Potienal wise, the kid is going places. I'm hearing we might get him for 6mil, if its true, f**k yeah! I want him here next season.

As for RB, I'm going to go with Darmian. I hear the guy might leave Torino, his only 25 and capable of playing RB, LB and CB. His Serie A's hidden gem and like Zabaleta his tireless work ethic is an added bonus. City needs to remember that Zabaleta is getting older and he needs someone to rotate with. After playing in the WC, no wonder Zabaleta looks done for the season.

The reason why I choose both these players is because, City plays with laziness and these guys play with a lot of energy. A Milner like energy if you want and let me tell you, right now, we need players like James Milner. Bring these two in and their going to be ripping up the flanks.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-city-keen-albert-rusnak-5635589

So all the sudden City are now interested in Rusnak after selling him to an Eredivise side, where his killing it. Now Ronald Koeman wants him at Southampton? How stupid do we look?????? I remember watching him play, the guy was brilliant and talented but we let him go. As a City fan, I liked him a lot, though he was the future but tbh for the sake of his future, stay in the Eredivise or go to Southampton.

City management = stupidity
clould be an E true Matic story in the making
He won't be the only one we let go, then go running back to sign, sorry to say but management is a joke.
The game against Spurs was insane. Just finished watching the whole match and we really were lucky to win. The first half Spurs had so many chances, they could have scored 4 goals and they kept opening up our defensive over and over again. Second half we got our s**t together and finally started playing some good football, counter attacking football was what won us the game but it was individual quality as well from Aguero, Silva and Joe Hart that won us the game and kept us in the game. Spurs could have easily won but I'm glad we got that over with and got 3 points. Also, Aguero has scored 10 goals now against Spurs since he signed for us. Pretty impressive and 22 goals to his name this season(top scorer and 28 across all competitions. He is easily our player of the season, hopefully he can also take the golden boot this season as well.

The more I watch our defense the more curious I get weather we can get things together for next season. Mangala has been horrible but he gets the benefit of the doubt, physically he can dominate in this league but mentally he needs to read the game better and he needs to better communicate with his partner. I think he will come good in the future, his only 24. I'm hoping Rekik can bring lots of quality to the table, I know his still young but I would love to see a bright young CB starting for City. God why the f**k did we let Nastasic go?????
http://www.espnfc.com/manchester-city/story/2431027/alvaro-negredo-man-city-exit-no-pellegrini-trust-homesick

So Pellegrini booted Negredo out of the team. Just like I thought. He had to cut a member for the CL squad, and the chose Negredo. Just like the chose to freeze out Jovetic. And Nastasic.

The faq is wrong with Pellegrini?
and he said this..

Congrats to Chelsea. There wasn't much story on that title this season..

Now, Jose should do the right thing.
Give players the week off, field reserves vs Liverpool and have a proper biscuit
Haha. I would love to see a proper battle for #4 between Liverpool and United. United can stumble against Arsenal.

Pool have the game of the season on their hands against Chelsea. Although knowing Jose, I think he may spare no quarter. Just the way he is.

It should be in Mourinho's best interest if United drop out of the top 4.

He snatched Cuadrado from them just for fun. He even tried to lure Rooney away. Mourinho knows that United have the power to build immediate competition again, which unfortunately, we saw happening this season already
ManOnDMoon Stop it, you're making me worried with your theories :(
Don't worry Jose won't do anything like that.
Probably some mind games to see if you panic and drop points at Palace, just to make sure you finish 4th (CL playoffs) and not 3rd
when we we after cuadrado? seems they made a mistake signing him, he's not getting any younger and he looks like he will need time to adjust to the league.
A few Points to make:
1.) Joe Hart was incredible, MOTM
2.) Our players were reading every single pass and intercepted a bunch.
3.) haven't seen the team work harder this entire season.
4.) I think this was aguero's best game of the season and his goal was ridiculous.
5.) Bony had a great appearance holding up and bring balls down very well.
6.) That was the most pitiful sight ever Nasris minute of gameplay.
7.) David Silva went full Wizard today.
8.) Defense still Shaky on set plays.
9.) I think this game came down to quality of players not coaching. I feel Pelle had no effect on this game and you could see that in the beginning we were flat and that occurred again at the start of the second half. I think it was the players who won us this game on their own.

Couldn't have said it any better Khessler! This game was very heartening from the fact that we were looking like the City of old.

We terrorized them from the wide areas as well, like the old days.

Missed the game. Gotta watch the whole thing.
I seriously thought the team forgot how they could play. really awesome to see they still remembers.
We pulled it off :D

Silva Aguero is the best combo in the premier league
Joe Hart is my herooooo
lol I just shat myself on that Hart-Kane 1 to 1

jovetic is injured or what? he should be starting instead of lampard
You are mistaken Sir. We don't have any player by that name.
+2
He is injured. One way or another we don't have a player by that name
