Pep's work here is done. I'll be sad to see him leave the league.

https://www.foxsportsasia.com/football/1102983/reports-pep-guardiola-leave-manchester-city-sign-4-year-deal-juventus-cristiano-ronaldo/
BIG IF TRUE
Can't be true, I swear I'm going to lose my sh*T!
no reliable sources reporting. doubt it's true.
I don’t understand how the people before say if I go to Juventus or not don’t try to call the club or call myself or call my agent or Juventus or Massimiliano Allegri. I’m sorry for Massimiliano.

“I have two more years here and I’m not going to move. Impossible. Except if they sack me and after I go home

#fakenews?
#fakeboobs.
I didn't think Atletico would be thinking of letting Rodri move. I've seen him play a few times for Atleti, very quick, tidy player who hardly loses the ball, and his a big lad as well who can dribble. Still only 22 years too. I can see him replacing Busiquets from Spain very soon but his going to be really expensive.

Pep will get rodri, gundogan to bayern, grujic to atletico

#mysticsergio
@mysticsergio will Mbappe be in the EPL next season? Would love that.
Why would he sell Gundogan? He's a great CM and one of Pep's favorites
Bayern want him, and his German links maybe dunno

@lordjaggi-he will stay at psg for one more season
was just watching sky sports I have a feeling Zidane will Get Mbappe in.
Mbappe is too good for that Mickey Mouse league and PSG, he should definitely move to Real Madrid.
Way too good for that league
Gundogan won't leave. David will decline even more next season (sadly) and if we can land Rodri, we can use Gundogan in CM more often along with B. Silva and KDB.
Gundogan said it himself that he reopened talks with City for his contract. He is 27 or 28 so he wants one last big cheque.
Hands off Rodri please! We need a Busi replacement!
^ Did you not sign De Jong and pay 70mil for his services or am I crazy lol
+3
Rodri is coming to city
Jesus+ $$$ for Rodri rumors going. So that means city would get another forward?
^ It would be shocking if that happens. City will most likely pay the full price for Rodri. No reason to sell Jesus now, his still got loads of potential and his still young. We signed him for 27mil, which is a bargain, who are really going to sign without spending 60-90mil ? Not to mention the market is short on quality strikers. Average strikers will go for 50mil now. Not worth the trouble.

We need to get Rodri, a back up RB and maybe another CB if Otamendi is leaving us which leaves us with Stones and Laporte.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCjgarNcW4c

Very emotional last interview by Kompany.
Didn't think our CB situation was going to be a problem this summer but with Kompany gone, and Otamendi still questionable whether he stays or leaves, this really leaves us with Stones and Laporte guaranteed for next season. Not to mention our LB situation has been a problem and we don't have a RB rotation player with Danilo most likely to leave.

I really wish we could bring Angelino and Maffeo back as Angelino looked solid with PSV in UCL and Maffeo is a good prospect. Would love to see them both back instead of spending big money on others.
Yeah we need another CB LB and a CDM ... but the way UEFA is fishing around our club with their stupid FFP that was put in place to protect the "history" clubs, it will be hard to do business come this summer.
Yeah, Pep would bring in a LB. I think were going to have to hope Mendy can stay fit and hold on to Delph and Zinchenko. We need to hang on to Otamendi, add another CB, another RB and a holding DM.

so this is the end for kompany as a player for man city. too bad we couldnt give him a sweet taste of CL before he left. this makes me sad, next season or two, most probably aguero and david silva will follow suit. luckily pep is here to ensure the backbone of our team will be as strong as before with de bruyne, bernardo and sterling.

look forward to see komapny becomes our manager in the future.
I'm sure he will make a great manager. His always come off as a smart man.
Damn shame to see Kompany go. He had a really good season but no better to go out, then to go out on top. A model captain as I still remember the day he took the armband from Kolo Toure and ever since, his been great captain. The injuries took a lot out of him and had he never been injured, I honestly believe he would have been the best CB in the world for 5-6 years. He would have been in the world XI multiple times but even with the injuries, whenever he did return, he always managed to put on a great performances. I don't think, we will ever have a captain like him again, players like him are a dying breed. Thank You Vincent Kompany and good luck!
+1
The world XI is a joke anyway. Kompany was always a much better captain than Ramos and most seasons he's been a better player too. Some player who have been in there for years seem to have been guaranteed their spot merely by their historical achievements. Even my beloved Iniesta didn't deserve it all the times he's been voted into it.

But the focus is on Vince. And yes, you will not have a captain like him again for a long, long time. Hugely influential and charismatic, a towering presence on and off the field for more than a decade here.
Legend
Thoughts on Kompany leaving for the player/manager role at Anderlecht?

Would you guys have preferred to keep him around another season or are you happy to see him pursue a new challenge he is passionate about?
I think Vince himself would've preferred to stay at least one more year at City. But Anderlecht called a few months ago to offer him this role and he most likely made up his mind that if Pep no longer saw him as the right man to captain the team and be a core player, he'd take up the Anderlecht offer.

I'm sure Pep and Vince have a great relation and they must've discussed this thoroughly. But both of them are highly intelligent and honest, so Pep must've told him the truth of his plans for the future, where Vinnie might've had to be happy with a backup role. I assume Pep must've told him he thinks a man like Kompany deserves better and I'm sure Vince himself would not be satisfied playing second fiddle - he's always been the sort of man to be the leader and centre of all activity. Slowly fading away isn't his thing.

Personally I'm happy for him he could leave in this spectacular way - the English treble, *that* goal and the admiration of pretty much the whole football world. But he's far too good a player to retire from playing the game, so a player/coach role might for once actually be the right decision. He's going to be Anderlecht's best player from the get go. How he's going to combine it with a very challenging coaching role at a club in turmoil will be the big question.

All the best to him, even though I'm a fan of Anderlecht's biggest rival Club Brugge, who took over the n°1 club spot in Belgium a few years ago. Let's hope the healthy rivalry with them can arise again with him at the helm.
Kompany was a rotation player for the last 3 years under Pep. His role wasn't going to necessarily change but Kompany has something most can't do. Put on a good shift after a long injury lay off. Pep could always count on Kompany no matter what, I'm sure Pep would rather lose Otamendi instead of Kompany. Although whatever the reason maybe, I'm going to really miss Kompany.
Congrats on the English treble!!!

Thanks!
Incredible achievements 😎
What a game, no mercy whatsoever. What a season we've had. Glad to add anothet trophy. Now we need to improve in CL.

crazy thing it could have been more. Aguero didn't even play.
