Karim Rekik has joined French side Olympique de Marseille on a permanent deal.

So guys, how do you rate City's greatest players in the last 5 years since 2010? Here are my top 3

1) David Silva
2) Sergio Aguero
3) Joe Hart

Notable mentions: Yaya Toure, Kompany, Zabaleta
1) Aguero
2) Kompany
3) Yaya

I know Sliva and Hart have been great...But IMO Aguero , Kompany and Yaya make the real difference as individuals.

You guys forgot Super Mario :D

Note: His assist to Aguero was a crucial part of us winning the title since 44 years ago at the time.

Sergio
Silva
Yaya
Kompany
Hart
Mario had some good times. Maybe I'm biased.
Aguero
Silva
Zabman
Toure,
Aguero
Silva

Toure played great role in winning first trophy(FA cup) after such a long time. We built all our team based on him in the middle. May be Augero and Silva will be ahead of him if they do great in few years.

Kompany is overrated among our high profile(Toure, Silva, Aguero, Tevez) players.
Good Read
Is Yaya Toure Man City's greatest-ever player after five years of splendour and silliness?

Found this in city website

1. Aguero
2. Toure
3. Kompany

Best attacker, best Midfielders and best Defender. They might have had their off and on again based on form but they have been leaders and game changers nonetheless.
Hey Tomi the FFP ban of PSG is lifted so I think it might be a matter of time yours is as well. I can be a messenger of such good news too haha ^^
Lol buddy I will chase you down if the news is false :D

From the looks of it they are going to announce City's fate in the next 2-3 weeks about how they will deal with them. Platini is a biased asshole. I am backing City to launch a major legal battle against that twat.
We have a long way to go.
If I were responsible for transfers,

In - Kevin De bruyne or Isco, Sterling at a resonable price, utalised in the RM/RW area or other, fabinho or Clyne, kurzawa or desiglio, Verane if he were available, keep Rekik. Maybe Pogba at a decent inflated price.

Out - Demichelis, Kolorov, Sagna.
I would also pair Kompany with Rekik & Verane with Mangala, I believe good partnerships would be formed there. Fabinho can also play in midfield with fernadinho or fernando, might form a good partnership there as well.
@Silva - our transfer committee is deluded

Instead of going for the good ones like Clyne, Shneiderlin, Fabinho, Kovacic we have been talking of Sterlin/Bruyne/Pogba - all of whom are probably not going to happen.

In the meanwhile United, Arsenal, Chelsea are all strengthening. If things go this way this could be our relatively worst window in the last few years.

Now we are stuck with nothing. Zilch (not the Mod).
+1
Silver I have to admit i completely disagree with you. It sounds like you're basically doing what city management are already doing. I didn't hear a single Homegrown player and you want to pay ridiculous prices for these GOOD players. We don't need varane because we have Denayer. You neglected to get rid of Dzeko and Nasri.
Everyone on your list is over 20 mil.
I have made my opinions known about who we should sign but why we haven't just gone and met Delphs release clause is beyond me.
+1
I know, you guys are all right about getting in more home grown players, but let's be realistic we have money and they the ones in charge wants success quickly, they don't trust our youth players unfortunately, I was just stating the players we would need in order to maybe achieve a higher rate of success in all competitions.

Dzeko is a great back up striker to have and I believe Nasri can step back up, he was injured most of last season I believe, he just needs to keep his mouth shut keep his head down and play.
I Think dzeko is a stoke level striker at best
@Silva there is no reasonable price for Sterling, and even if there was that price can buy a decent player with better attitude.

No De Sciglio, he's Milan academy material and I would like to see it stay that way, plus between injury and lack of confidence he's been no good for the past 2 years. There's a lack of good players at LB but for me he's best at RB
Our transfer committe are a bunch of idiots. Why do you think any other club aren't going after Pogba or De Buryne with the exception of a few? They know how expensive and how long it can drag out, with the possibility of ending up with nothing. We should have gone for Arda Turan, Delph, Clyne and a LB like Willems, De Sciglio or Baba Rahman. We should have kept Rekik, bring Deanayer, Lopes and Iheanacho and we would have been find. We have a good squad, we just need a few tweaks here and there. Sell Kolarov, Sagna and Dzeko than were done. Easy and simple but yet here we are.
Rekik is going to Marseille
Hoping to hear the a buy-back clause is in tact. Would be f*****g ridiculous to let him go like that with no first dips on getting him back. He has the potential to be a beast CB.
I think there is a buy back clause on him.

Btw - if you guys remember Rekik was part of a bizarre celebration with Bruma where they were singing their own names (yes, their own) after winning the league. I don't get what is wrong with youth nowadays. Success gets to their heads? I am sort of happy he is going.

We need to groom Denayer to be a good City player and humble at the same time to become like Kompany
Looks like we're again hammered by UEFA

Man City are ineligible for new relaxed UEFA rules - and are waiting to hear about possible further restrictions following last season's punishment

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-city-transfers-ffp-spending-9556532
Hahaha very convenient. We will drag their asses into court. Ridiculous ruling
Is this a joke?
Have anyone heard/read any rumors about MP's main man Navas going to some other clubs ? Why any clubs don't want to buy him ?
You guys are close to signing Fabinho
How good is he? We're linked with Layvin Kurzawa in the past, we need left back more than right.
Fabinho is a beast he can play RB/DM
Any links? From what I've seen from Fabinho his a really good player, tank and was very crucial for AS Monaco's UCL campaign, their defensive was a rock. He would be a great signing for us. We really need a RB.
His teammates Layvin Kurzawa(left back) was linked with us in the Jan transfer window. I just read a rumor Monaco are asking Spurs to double Spurs's 16M valuation for him.
Not worth it, the kid Layvin was pulling off some disrespectful s**t against a match with Sweden's U21. He was showboating about scoring a single goal in an sportsmanship like way, although he did get owned by Sweden afterwards. Although that alone has made me lose interest in this kid.
both are great talents, worth the buy. Layvin Kurzawa is a bit of a loose fit hue hue hue
Would much rather prefer Willems from PSV or Baba Rahman from Augsburg for a LB.
So If correct, we need 8 homegrown players. We have Hart, Wright and Clichy from the first team.

We can include: Lopes, Iheanacho, Denayer, Barker and Pozo. That would make it 8 homegrown players.

I want to end these Sterling and Wilshere bullshit that we put ourselves in. For the love of god, have some faith and pride in your own academy and give these boys a chance! What kind of message does this football club send to our academy prospects when we need to go out and sign other English/homegrown players. They build a 200mil for what? Might as well have donated all that to charity if were never going to see any of them get promoted.
Moe, the rule is clubs can't name more than 25(at most 17 non home grown) players over the age of 21.

It's not mandatory we need to submit 25 man squad. The under 21 players(home or non home grown) are not required to submit in the squad list.

So based on our current squad we just submit 20 players(17 non home grown plus Hart, Wright, Clichy). All others EDS players can play anytime when required.

But FA chairman is purposing 'Kane' rule from 2016 and most of the people including Tony Pulis, Alan Padrew are opposing it, so if they pass and implement that rule then most of the clubs with current squad will have to work hard to get required home grown quota.
