So our boy Olivier Ntcham on loan at Genoa has been nominated for the Golden Boy award. I've seen him in some Serie A games, notably against Juve last season, he was really impressive. His come a long way. His strong, physical and has a great range in passing.
Terrible defending to be honest. Making sinclaire looks like a boss lol.
After watching the game, I thought it was a bit cocky of Pep to even play Kolarov. Kolarov is great against teams that sit back and defend but when it comes to Kolarov defending against multiple counter attacks, his going to make mistakes. Dropping Stones cost us and why our defense was playing such a high-line was the reason why we failed at the back. It causes a miscommunication between the FBs and wingers. When Zaba was tracking back, their were acres of space that even Zaba didn't know what to do, he dropped into the center afterwards only to leave his right side wide open and Sterling had to track back but he was to little to late for the second goal.

If anyone is to learn a lesson, it's Pep. He needs to show some respect to other sides, he even looked shocked during the first half, haven't seen that side of Pep yet. Only positive was that our attack bailed us out, Sterling is playing with tremendous confidence.
Wouldn't be the first time the offense has bailed Pep out of a surprising loss. I think he was experimenting in this match (for some reason). Celtic's early goal had psychological consequences on everybody. This is Pep's way of "you live and learn" though. It's matches like these that you learn the most from. I didn't watch the match, but if Pep seemed shocked, he definitely learned something.
Getting an away point is not too bad, i think this is viewed as a missed opportunity because Barcelona was able to get so many past Celtic. Defensive letdown for sure, the offense looking as brilliant as ever. Felt the whole team seemed to turn off for long periods of time.

Still undefeated, and you can't win them all.
It was Kolarov. Pep was trying to see if he works out in Europe at CB and he does not :D

As for Gundogan, he is nowhere near the driving force KdB is (yet) but obviously he will get better. His passing is pure class.

Otherwise we were fine. Fernandinho with some bad tackles I was very surprised. Not a bad game.

Not complaining about the result - but the first goal was offside, the second goal was a bad deflection and third one was Kolarov lol. So we can definitely build from here. Good goals by City.
sigh. forgot the feeling of dropping points we should never have dropped
Missed the game, had class. Gonna need to watch the full replay.
It's already on www.fullmatchesandshows.com
Celtic look good

Fortunately we have other players.

Silva/Gundogan/Fernandino can play the CM roles.
Fernandinho/Fernando can play the holding role.

Depth is going to be key for us this year. Our most important player this year is Fernandinho - if he is injured we are screwed. Until then we still have a dangerous team with 2-3 folks out injured.
That hurts :( I hope he heals quickly and stays fit. He's an important part of the team.
good news is there is another international break coming up that will limit the games he misses. Unfortunately he is still gonna miss our home game against barca
Another international break ffs? :/
Congratulations to our women team for winning the league.

It wasn't our best game, Swansea brought it after losing in the EFL cup game but it takes a strong team to still manage a win even when it wasn't your best performance but credit to the Swans, they really gave it an effort.

Great to have Silva back the man is such a joy to watch. Lets roll on and win the game against Celtics!

Agreed wasn't our best game but we still managed to pull off the win.
What a game! I hope KDB is well and it's only a small knock.
City confirmed a groin injury for Kompany... I don't get it. It's like his muscles are made of twizzlers
ffs, the man can't catch a break. At this point, don't know if Pep will keep him around for another season if he goes on at this rate.
Kompany is on a huge contract. It goes to show how fragile a footballer's career can be. I hope the club will do the right thing - this is Vinnie we are talking about!
Pep couldn't scrap Joe Hart and Kompany in the same season
gutted for Kompany...looked like he went off injured at the end
He probably just came off as a precaution since he has not played a game for quite some time.
@SkyBlue where tf have you been lol. show up more!!

Just heard that it was because he was tired, the man hasn't played in while. His going to need time. I really hope these injuries ease up on him but it really doesn't look like it. His become so fragile that the older he gets the worse its going to be.
Sad to say but if he is injured again for a long period of time his City career will be over.
Even if he retires early, his bound to get a job at City plus punditry as he did at the Euros. His a smart guy who's very level head. I remember he was 25-26 when he named captain and really lead the team by example, never saw him getting into fights, always stayed composed.

Although i don't want to see him go just yet, I want a few more seasons from him and hopefully another PL title he lifts as City captain.
On a side note, anyone saw that David Silva-esque or De Bruyne-esque pass he made through the midfield?

Superb!
I like Kompany, sucks he can't catch a break with injuries
Good game by our B/C team. Expected more out of Sane though but we'll see more.

Garcia was good, will get much much better. Angelino was OK not sure why he played in midfield.
Me too, I was hoping more from Sane but his still quite young, time will tell.

Garica on the other hand looks much better than last season, hopefully along with Tosin, they make the first team squad next season.
