@Silva, how long have you been on this site? Yours is the first DP I remember seeing on the City forum when i joined. Truly inspirational one at that. Has not changed since I joined lol
Plz stop scaring us with so many golas:
Aguero 6
Sterling 5
Jesus 4
Sane 3

We thought the same before City played Chelsea last season :P

This is going to be a true test of nerves, for both teams
Pablo maffeo has a bright future ahead, completely subdued messi's influence by some intelligent marking!
Lol we are missing a LB as we speak. Mendy just got injured
Mendy could just be a knock, lets hope he gets back ASAP cos we need him big time. Wish we had signed another full back cos Delph doesn't look very comfortable on that left side
We should have got Bertrand. Delph was never meant to be a LB and neither was Danilo, even though he can play there. I think we will get a LB in the January window, I hope
Problem was Bertrand was tagged at 30mil by the Saints. Honestly, paying big money for another FB who is 27-28, not a great idea really. Would rather have us sign a younger FB that can add pace and delivery like Mendy. Hard to say who will come in but we really do need another LB.

Also, what have I been saying about Maffeo? Kid is going to do well for Girona and Pep better keep him. His breaking into Spain U21 and all this talk about Bellerin is done, he is our young up and coming Spanish star.
@Moe - Walker is also 27, we paid 50MM for him. Bertrand would have been a good buy to play when Mendy was to be rotated

But wait guys -Maffeo is a RB. how and where was he marking Messi?
United defending with 6 players at the back? wow the anti-football from last season continues... they should sack him before he tarnishes United as a club completely...plus against who? Southhampton? and after all this United fans like @Joemac think manchester is red? SMH

EDIT: was looking out for United i think they are better off sacking him now and my bad 6 players at the back not 5

Let's not call out other users - not allowed on Footytube.

Also, Joeymac was just having good banter. I'd encourage you to come up with smart replies instead. We are better than just retaliating, aren't we?

Should just take a deep breath and relax as the season is young, a lot of fans talk crap at the start of the season and end up looking like muppets at the end.
Pep: "The opponent they are not stupid" hahaha
Sweet win. We were a bit lethargic in the first half, but boy what a comeback in the second.

KdB was slightly off today, but Silva's brilliance made up for it. The turns and trickery have been electric so far this season. No wonder El Mago has the max assists (6) at the moment in the league. He is perfect (except for the bald head. God knows why he is doing this to himself when he has such a nice head of hair)

Sane and Sterling really stretched the opposition today - we look so good with the 4-3-3 I am hoping that Pep sticks with this combination rather than the 3 at the back thing that we were having. I don't see Sane being dropped anytime soon. 1 goal and 2 assists to cap off the day. Could have scored another one!

Hopefully Mendy recovers for the Chelsea game. We are going to need every ounce of our strength for that game. Remember, that was the game that derailed our perfect start last season and they are in perfect position to do that this time around as well
Lots of games being played in such short amount of time but the boys have been doing so damn well. El Mago is such a pleasure to watch and Tomi his head looks fine, Silva just wants to let people know his pure bada**, most footballers wouldn't shave all their hair off, Silva just does it and goes back to business. Respect!

Sane is playing class football, so the line up against Chelsea will be interesting as everyone seems to be in form and hungry to go. Do pressure from the middle of the park and play two strikers to break them down or stretch the game to open them up? Although the big problem last season was finishing, we can win but need to finish our chances.
That's what's so great about our attack right now Tomi, if someone is not at their usual best there is someone else who can make up for that, we just need that defensively and we will be truly formidable.
We all like to talk about our forwards but no one mentioned Bravo's performance, the guy made some key saves during that game, especially the one right before our 2nd goal. He looks much better than last season IMO.
I suppose, but tbf we expected that from him last season. Maybe he really lacked confidence and the pace of the league and the pressure on him during his first spell. Although I gotta respect that he didn't complain about last season, asked to leave or anything because I felt as if he might just walk after the horrendous season. He just put his head down and went to work. Now he has no pressure on his hands and I do hope we get to see the best of Bravo. I want to see Bravo of Chile, because that guy is a beast!
It's truly unbelievable how much worse Claudio has been for you guys than for Barça.

When he initially joined Barça I of course knew him from Chile, where he was very good, but even there he made some silly mistakes at times. At Barça, he may have made 4-5 mistakes in all of his games combined; he was amazing.

Then he went to England and made as many mistakes in 2 games as he did in all of his time at Barça :|
Congrats to Yaya for his 300 appearance for the club - one of the greatest players I've watched playing the game!!

Oh and G. Barry, one of the most underrated player, will move past Giggs and set a new PL appearance record on Monday when West Brom play Arsenal, and yes, all that without boning his brother's missus. Well done, Berry!!
I think we got some of the best Yaya had to offer, a true City legend, he's been instrumental in a our recent sucess and I'm very greatful, still remember that cracker he scored from about 35 yards out in the FA cup, Yaya only Toure can get it done :]

Barry might have not been the greatest player but that guy is a real worker, he always puts in a shift for any team he plays for, a true English legend that guy.
Yaya along with Silva where 2 of the most important core players brought from la liga. We took a chance on both players and spend big despite the criticism we received for spending (during that period) but guess what? Both turned out to be two of the best to every grace the league. Yaya is/was the most dominate CM I've seen, had both strength, speed and ability on the ball, none could come close. Congrats to Yaya making his 300th game, what a legend!
Yay was the most influential CM I have seen in the premier league since Scholes. (At his best)
^ How are you my friend Yaldo :D

Gifted with power and technique. I wish Yaya went on for another couple years (and he might just) - his passing during pre season was the best I have ever seen in recent years and I was kinda hoping he'd take that into the season.

I was actually fearing for Fernandinho's place after that pre-season. Not sure what happened between Yaya and Pep again. Looks like Pep is bringing him back though.
Delph played LB, not exactly bad at all tbh but the depth/quality is something Pep has to wondering about. I wonder if the CB and LB situation will be addressed this January. I want to see Mangala do well but on the ball, his just not going to fit under Pep and Mendy/Walker are beasts and should start all our big games but Danilo/Delph won't work on the long run. Honestly, Angelino could have done pretty well as he plays like a wing-back but I guess were going to have to wait and see.
True, Mangala isn't great but he can put in a decent shift, if he can improve his passing etc just maybe he could stay. That said Pep should know what needs to be done now in all areas, on the field and in the transfer window, the time for mistakes are over, too much spent for any excuses.
^True, I feel this season we can go all the in both the league and UCL. At this point, we can't have small shortcomings like not having another FB or CB cost us everything.
Who needs Sanchez when you got Sane?
+1
He's our very own 'Bruce Leroy' to our rescue. Don't know who that is go google.
+1
^ Good one!
+1
Clichy: "Sane reminds me of Gareth Bale...strong and powerful and he can be decisive with the ball with assists and goals."

Neville: "When I see Sane play I remember [young] Gareth Bale."

P.S. We may have our own Bale, but hopefully he'll stay injury free unlike Bale.
+1
Fortunately he did not cost a bale of money to acquire

^ I see what you did there lol.
