Pogba is dropped from the starting line up yet again and Jose calls the rumours about his rift with Pogba as "lies" lol and Tomikato believes him lol should we sign him in the summer ? i think considering Yaya is leaving Pogba would be an ideal replacement plus he will fit right in considering he likes playing attacking football which he will definitely get at Man City.
+1
Honestly hope United somehow manage to scrape out an underdog win against sevilla, I do not wanna face the spaniards in the next round.
+4
Yeah, we need a "dabbing-cheerleader" for our reserve!!:D
United will never sell him again...Let alone selling him direct to rival.

He is a brand who can be used for marketing and increase revenue.
We don't need him at City.
@Footballiscity - we are not doing so well only because we are attacking at the moment. It is because we have learned how to defend. Everyone defends. Have you seen Sterling and Sane hound the opposition on the flanks and back into our third? KdB is great at getting the ball back. Silva is also supposed to defend.

The truth is, Pep has converted us into this unit who can defend. Pogba will only fit in here if he is ready to play to the wholistic CM's game. Changing teams is not his issue. Massive talent and he might become world class in a couple years but for now he has ways to go.

Also, regarding the rift between Mou and Pogba, your comments are so silly man. Did you even bother reading your logic? You are saying both of them said the same lies to hide their rift from the public. Lame. If anything, Mou likes Pogba and wants him to play - he played him even though Pogba was unfit.
Fred scored a yaya esque free kick tn, sign him up
Fred is already coming to City in summer :D now that's the Yaya replacement we need. Pep has always been effusive in his admiration for Fred

But.. I take that back - Fred is the Fernandinho replacement. We have parts of Yaya in Fernandinho and KDB at the moment.
Yayyy both foooty and Tomikato are back! missed you guys :D

Nothing silly Tomikato i said Jose was covering the rift not Pogba, Jose said he was ill and then the media spotted Pogba doing heavy training drills the next day, how is that possible? It has Jose and Pogba rift written all over it. Even today if not for Herrera's injury, NO WAY JOSE would play Pogba

Here is what legendary Wright thinks of the situation:

"Could you image Pogba at City playing in that front line on the right there where Gundogan is playing or anywhere in and around there. Pep loves players. If Pogba is playing in that team I would put anything on it that he would not be in the same frame of mind that he is right now. I bet he is confused and doesn't know what is going on. I can totally understand why Manchester United fans are saying that he is not playing well but we are talking about a top top draw player who needs managing."

I couldn't agree more with Wright on this situation. He would fit really well in the position Gundogan plays.

I doubt Pogba will want to play second fiddle to KDB though. Gundogan is perfect to play that role, although nothing like Silva to complement KDB.

Lampard thrived in Mourinho's system. Not sure why Pogba cannot. He needs to learn.
Pogba is a very talented Pussy. The biggest difference between city and united especially early in the season when Beth teams were doing similarly was our guys stuck to themselves did the work while lingard, pogba, and lukakku sang karaoke on instagram and dabbed after beating Brighton. We have harder workers, more intelligence, and more maturity. Don't desire a single player in the united squad besides of course de gea.
+1
I'd take Martial too. Pep would convert him into a world class wide forward. We only have 2 pacy wide forwards at the moment.
Damn Khessler, not holding back lol!

@Tomi, If Martial was here, it would insane. If Sterling can make a huge turnout, Marital would be the second coming of Ronaldo. His an insane dribbler but just needs to find consistency.

As for Pogba, I don't know what it is with him because his top quality, just at times holds up the ball too long, or just over-does it with the dribbling but I think his in a tough situation. Utd look unbalanced and out of sync. Pogba looks like doesn't know what to do. His expected to be a game changer from the fans point of view and his manager expects him to defend in a 2 man or 3 man MF, now when you don't have the quality that KDB has at City surrounding him, specifically in MF, your going to struggle. He went from Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio to McTominay and Matic. Not that their bad players but not the quality he had at Juve. Pogba is a player with so much potential but has to figure it out for now until he can get more help in MF. Atm, I think people have been harsh on him. His out of form for sure but has no one to lean on atm, Utd look toothless in attack.
if you want to know what happens when a player we want to stay is angling for a move, i invite you to study the curious case of DDG and the fax machine. pogba wont be sold, unless we want him gone for some reason.
Or he wants to go...which is looking increasingly likely. United should have gotten some leaders into the team before expensive talent. Thats been arsenals problem for years.
+1
@SIF - are you talking about Martial or Pogba?

I think United won't make a massive fuss of letting Martial go. Pogba I can understand. They bought him at the expense of £89 mill, but more importantly, 400 million memes. Can't sell him now :P
@SIF the fax machine won't help this time around, because Pogba doesn't fit Mourinho's plans its as simple as that, the club will want to offload him. With DDG the club wanted to keep him, these are 2 completely different scenarios. I think United will do their best to get the most out of that 110+ mil euros they paid for him but I'm sure they know there is no way they will be able to recoup most of it.

Only question is, will United let him go to City or will they rather sell him to Real but for less money of course.

One thing is for sure you don't bench someone on 300+ K salary for 4 years, it just doesn't work like that.
It's laughable the calls from mentally challenged rincal fans comparing agueros punch to cantinas kick.....the internet can be an especially dark and daft place when the best team in England loses.
What were the fans doing on the field? Not to mention Aguero claims, the fan spit on him. Tbh, I've never seen Aguero this pissed off while wearing a City shirt, ever. So their had to be a good reason for him to lose his sh*t.

As for the rest of England. Let them laugh but come May I will be laughing at who in the top 6 misses out on the top 4. Now that sh*t will be funny.
United fans laughing cuz the medias narrative of a qaud are over. A narrative most sane people never bought into. What is embarrassing is that in October United fans thought they could win the league.
The amount of games we have played is taking its toll on the squad. No wonder KdB said he feels like sh*t after playing so many games.
I thought this was the most uninspired performance both from us and wigan. I mean a man up at home on a sunday league field and I still had not feeling of concern. And then city pull a city and one moment of stupidity from walker costs us a competition. This is why city fans still dont feel comfortable with the gap in the EPL. Weve witnessed this comedy before.
and next is carabao finals vs Arsenal!!!!
Lol whole season basically wrapping up In a week, crazy that in one week the quad and treble could be dashed in same week
Bad luck. We did not play so badly with 10 men to be honest. Also, given the way we play, the odd goal was always on the cards. Going down to 10 men in a cup game is almost always a killer blow.

Aguero again, I feel, was really bad. He did not latch onto several balls which a world class forward would IMO.
+1
I agree. Aguero had several chances but this guy is a shadow of what he used to be.
Really disappointing. We could have won but it just didn't happen.

Now we better be really motivated for the Arsenal game. No excuses. We need to step up, also would be nice to see Gabriel back real soon.
I though you were amazing, even when playing in 10, but I enjoyed you losing :) KdB is right btw, I think this for a very long time that english clubs sux vs europe mostly because the lack of the winter break. Plus English clubs have bonus league cup aka mickey mouse cup.

You can say the usual s**t, like they are paid a lot and blah blah, but the rest that other clubs from different leagues have is massive.
I have to say I suppose I don't mind it, it'd mean maybe 4-6 more games on top of a very busy schedule with European excellence as our desire. However, if we lose to Arsenal I can't help but feel there will be a dark shadow over this year where we were brought so much joy. I want stones and otamendi back there and I want us to be ruthless.
cant believe what just happened... out of FA
Pogba not even named on the bench for United there is obviously something seriously wrong between him and Mourinho and Mou comes out and says its all "lies" i wish we could play them right about now while they are having all these problems, i bet we could smash them 6 - 1 again haha!
The media is making a meal of it, trying to create a rift between Jose and Pogba. I doubt their actually is even is one.
I don't think the media is making a rift about it, in fact lately the media has been right about transfer rumours and other stuff. Pogba's agent publicly said that Pogba is not happy that Sanchez is making double his wages, so he wants to double his wages and when Pogba was substituted out you could tell by his facial expression he wasn't happy plus he doesn't like playing as a defensive mid everyone knows this every pundit also talked about it. So there is obviously a rift between Jose and Pogba hence why he left him out for todays game. The whole he's "ill" thing is made up to cover up the rift. I think after todays 2 - 0 result Jose will realize even more that he is better off without Pogba cos he likes to go up a lot and that doesn't fit Jose's plans.

Pogba likes to play football, Jose is the opposite he prefers anti-football cos that frustrates opponents and he ends up winning games that way. The 2 are not a match for sure.
+2
If Pogba and Jose are having a rift then why have they decided to collectively agree to tell the press that Pogba was ill? You make little sense man.
Thought he was injured?
I wonder if that hypocrite Gary Neville will call Conte and Mourinho a "joke" as well since they had only 6 players on bench for their FA cup games??
We had 7 substitutes on the bench.

Did some quick research and chelsea used 7 as well.
+6
The battle at the back will be very interesting. Kompany is now fit, we have Otamendi who has been a rock all season for us. Stones who has improved so much and Laporte who's insanely talented. Can't believe his only 23 years old, the same as Stones but his ability on the ball is something.

Lol, for once we have solid and quality CB options!
Kompany and otamendi havnt been very assured at the back. Not sure they have a great understanding together.
Otamendi is one of a kind - El General. Stones/Laporte are sort of similar but with different strong feet which is good. I think Kompany might suffer a bit next year but I am not complaining! Good problem to have.

We need good fullback cover to be honest. If Walker is injured we are in trouble. Danilo is good but not the level we need our fullbacks to be. Delph is great to cover for Mendy and he has proven that.
^ Pep is happy with what he has at the LB position in Zinchenko and Delph. The RB position is what's troubling. Wish we had the option to recall Maffeo but for Danilo I think time is up. When two MFs are playing make shift LB and your on the bench, you know your in trouble.

As for Kompany. I hope he never leaves. Good character in the locker room and should join the coaching staff if he retires in the next few seasons. But for now, a fit Kompany is welcome any time.
Not to mention Pablo maffeo has a real chance of takin backup right back and maybe Angelino can prove a worthwhile left back
Your team is on some serious fire. Safe to say, you can win all four competitions this season.
Nothing is guarantee just yet. Fa cup is in early days, where still in the thick of UCl, plenty of big teams left. Arsenal are capable of surprising people from time to time.

Although as a fan, I would dream of nothing more than seeing City lift all of them. All doubters would be silenced.
I wonder if anybody will doubt city's ability with the current squad under Pep. The team is playing genius football. I mean actual football and not diving around to get pen's.
+4
Why dive when you can just score and be done with it :) No need to waste time on such theatrics.
+1
Sane out- Bernardo Silva in

David Silva out- Gundogan in

We really are blessed with the quality we have. Gundogan had a great game with 2 goals. Glad to see the rotation at the back. Kompany making his first start in UCl after a two year absence, happy for him. Now we have two fresh CBs in Laporte and Stones ready for the weekend. Delph is back, along with Sane coming off the bench. Aguero killing it and really picking up form as of now, his been inconsistent from time to time but his undroppable atm.
+1
Fully agree, I think now we can almost say we have depth in the squad, we have youngsters we can rely on plus our first team players. Would love to see Pep bring in Maffeo and we should be good in most departments. I'd like Danilo to stay, I like his character. I also hope Kompany can remain fit as it would give the team an even more boost as well as himself.
