Wtf torino, I wanted him at liverpool

And migs to sunderland
A spell in Italy will do him well after all that happened. He will come back stronger than ever (but I also said that about Micah...)
Torino is a club with a glorious history after all
They have two very underrated center backs too.. Along with a great youth/scout system. It's just wierd seeing Joe Hart go over.
Good luck Harty!
As a Serie A viewer as well, I think Torino is a good move, very exciting team with a good young squad. I was kinda hoping Napoli were coming in for him, they were rumored to be interested but I guess Torino will do just fine for him. Considering Serie A isn't as end to end as the PL, he can certainly work on his footwork with the ball, get more comfortable coming out of the box and using his feet.

I'm hoping this isn't goodbye, hopefully he comes back stronger than ever.
A fantastic & well deserved win annnnnd Sterling what a way to shut up the haters - let's keep it up!:D
I hate him so much lol
@Footy, for sure. I always felt like he was unfairly treated and his only 21 which people seem to forget. His still very young. Looks like under Pep he has the licenses to attack more freely whereas with MP he had cover for Kolarov many times in defense, which largely goes unnoticed.
+3
@Sergio, oh so you're one of those hypocrite haters that proudly displays the pic of someone who literally drag the Liverpool's name through the dirt while hating on someone that has shown nothing but respect to Liverpool after all the abuse towards him lol - I wish Sterling had done just half of the s**t Suarez put Liverpool through though. Oh well, whatever makes you feel better but "hating" is a disease, hope you get well soon! :)

P.S. Moe66, couldn't agree more man.
He was unfairly treated because of his high transfer fee; this is why having such high transfer clauses puts so much on the player to have instant success. But in all truth he isn't a winger and he isn't a forward so it's hard to find that perfect role for him; I am sure he will come good playing with the likes of Aguero, Silva, Nolito etc just needs time.
@footy lol wow, while agree suarez was a scumbag you can not compare the two. Sterling went public on live tv which in my opinion is the worse then the way saurez left. Instead of liasing with the club he took the advice of his s**t agent and started a massive situation which all could have been avoided. Saurez left on good terms, he could return to liverpool any time in the future and he has the comfort and love of all the liverpool fans. He justified all reasons to leave, while sterling stabbed us in the back. If it wasn't for Kenny Dalglish he would have still been in the u21s. But he was given that platform to grow and develop. Brendan rodgers, as much i hate saying it did a great job with sterling. Helped him become one of the best young talents. You don't bite the hand that feeds you, that's it. I get it you want to leave, but you don't make a scene on your way out.

Also he left to city, a direct rival in the league. Saurez went to barca.

Also he showed respect to liverpool? Complete bullshit. For sterling money came before morals.
+3
LOL...are you serious?

"Sterling went public on live tv which in my opinion is the worse then the way saurez left" - here Suarez in one of his PUBLIC interviews:

"I have to put my career first...Liverpool is a club with a reputation for doing things the right way, I just want them to abide by the promises made last season. Some of [my team-mates] say to me: We cannot understand that if you have it signed that you can't leave." So in addition, to all the other B.S. that he put Liverpool through, YES he also went PUBLIC on live TV (search Suarez interview wanting to leave Liverpool).

Ok, let me make this very simple for you:

Sterling
- Apparently gave an interview to BBC about wanting to leave (I couldn't find it, if you do please provide "the public on live tv" link)

Suarez
- Racial abuse incident
- biting incident
- Public interview about Liverpool not honoring the agreement for him to leave

So looking at the above, do you still think "Saurez left on good terms" compared to Sterling, if so you may need to look up the definition of "good terms" lol...

"he was given that platform to grow... helped him become one of the best young talents" - it goes both ways, he also helped Liverpool and you were also compensated for that handsomely.

The rest of your paragraph is purely B.S., LOL "sterling stabbed us in the back" - again try to be a bit objective and you'll see who really "stabbed [you] in the back".
I saw the interview sterling did, and also the saurez one. Saurez was promised he was allowed to leave the season before but was disallowed becouse we purely did not want to sell. This made him angry, but becouse of that. His new contract had clauses which allowed a Spanish team to buy him if they matched his new buyout clause which in the 60mill range. So this resulted in him getting his move he wanted, he kept grounded for the most parts. Yes he went abit mental but end of the day he put his heart into the game and did some magical s**t. You can't tell me he didn't put every ounce of energy and passion while wearing the kit. He even cried when we narrowly lost the title to you guys. What was sterling doing? He was posting pictures on instagram about rap music and fashion.

The bottom line is, sterling is a c**t. Even when england fell out a major tournament he posted pics of some flashy millionaire toilet from a hotel room. Players like him think they made it so early on in their career. For what he did for liverpool, does he really think he justified a move to another club. He missed probably five sitters in that season but paraded around like he was a prolific player.

I think I know more about how he acted while he was at liverpool then yourself. To me saurez was a humble, family man while sterling was the spoiled little brat who wanted it all too fast. Rarely did I see commitment to the club, just like his good friend Ibe. He is lucky he is a fantastic footballer other wise his career would have went down hill just like Ibe.

As they say, "nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance [or] conscientious stupidity."

I'm trying here to make you see the facts and look at the two in a bit objective way, and you just wrote another essay purely based on your emotions.

Again, does this make any sense to you:

Sterling = Public interview = " a c**t"

Suarez = Racial abuse + biting incident + Public interview = "humble," "love of all the liverpool fans".

LOL...Suarez "kept grounded for the most parts" - here, I challenge you to give me the exact quotes/link of Sterling so called PUBLIC on live TV interview and we'll compare that to Suarez's to see which one was more disrespectful to Liverpool.
We can argue all night mate, it's not worth the long research.. How about you just take my word, or disagree to agree with what I say becouse I can't be arsed to write another long one lol
Lol, Etihad looked packed today. Geez why can't the fans show up week in and out, their getting quality football that some fans would love to see.
Wow, great win from the team. Really looked convincing, dropped off in the second half but finished well either way. David Silva is just class, motm for me, amazing player. Sterling continuing his good form, Pep has done wonders for his confidence, he looks like his finally enjoying himself. Hopefully the critics can get off the guys back for once.

Great win, on to the derby!
I think you guys need Gundogan to complete the team. At the moment you're lacking the deep lying CM who will distribute the ball creatively the way Xavi did for Pep at barca. Fernandinho isn't creative with his passing. Once Gundogan starts playing your team will become a lot more fluent.

Any news on his return?
+3
Fernandinho is playing the Busquets role though. Silva is playing the Xavi role. I have been hearing that Gundogan can slot into both roles - cannot wait to see.

Btw - Ilkay is back in training. He might have a small part to play in the Manchester Derby.
Its going to be a tricky situation, it would seem like KDB should make room for Gundogan but again KDB has done well in his own right. The guy deserves credit because his not a traditional CM but he certainly causes trouble when he teams up with Silva to string passes than throw off the opposition. Although Gundogan is the more true CM, he can offer a more defensive game and is a natural deep-lying play-maker. Its going to be a tough pick for Pep.

I suppose in games where we are going on the offense, KDB is going to picked, in games were we were going to defend and try to play from deep, Gundogan is the man for the job.
Fernandinho is a useful player as a box to box midfielder and works hard. He's not a good as Scholes, Alonso or Busquets but he gets the job done covering the defense. City is still adapting to Pep's high pressure style so I did see fernandinho get out of his spot but then there was one moment when Stones made a run up the field and Fernandinho dropped in to the cb spot. That's the kind of flexibility that players need to adapt to under pep.

Silva isn't a xavi type player. He's more like Iniesta. If one users the barca template then Gundogan can be the cm/rcm and silva can be the lcm who's allowed to roam freely.

I'm shocked to see sterling under pep. He is suddenly playing with purpose. KDB doesn't look as comfortable so I'm guessing you're right about KDB having to be dropped. But he won't compete with Gundogan but rather Nolito or even Silva. You also have Leroy Sane who will compete with Nolito, sterling and KDB.

City has massive depth in every position with two or more players for every position. They will start clicking in a month or so once they get used to the system. I'm looking forward to watching barca vs city.

Crap. I had forgotten about Gundogan..
Good win guys. We are terrific in the first 30 mins but lost the intensity a little bit later.

Aguero might receive a ban. Stupidity with the elbow he really did not need to do that. Nasri looked good :D I was screaming when he almost got the goal!

Silva MOTM for me today. Getting to his sublime best.
He should be banned and fined over his conduct.
We can't deal with high pressing and long ball play, that's what West Ham did in 2nd half.
First 20 min you were unplayable. Obviously it's impossible to play with the same intensity for the whole game. So far you and Chelsea look the most serious contenders this year.
Silva back doing silva things
I've seen the replay, his elbow doesn't connect with Reid
It looked like there was contact to me. But that's irrelevant, contact is not a prerequisite for a red card for violent conduct:

"Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.

In addition, a player who, when not challenging for the ball, deliberately strikes an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm, is guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible."

It's like a guy going studs up on you. Whether he hits you or not it's a red card. Or someone swinging at you but missing, pretty sure it would be a red too.
It should be a clear red card. Now if it overlooked by the FA, I won't be the one complaining
Side note Basti got a ban for doing similar to Reed last year. He is a good defender, gets under people's skin by dominating or frustrating them.
If Fellaini can get away with this, I don't see why Kun should be charged but then again it's consistently inconsistent FA we're talking about lol:

Aguero is shorter as well while Reid is a bigger defender. Not sure if anyone here has played football but with your back to goal you use your elbows as an anchor to keep balance. Man U fans praying he gets a ban lol

^^word: "Man U fans praying he gets a ban" lol.

People want consistency in the decisions that referee makes. I think if the referee see's it then it's a red simple as and the whole hand ball in the penalty box needs looking at. Often are not penalties are given even if the hand / arm doesn't move to the ball.

Well Aguero is out injured and is likely to be fit for the September 10th Derby so I don't think it will make a difference or not.
http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/10556960/ref-watch

lol dan this is comical, you're actually defending aguero! why am i not surprised.

it's a red card.

and why wouldnt we want aguero to miss the game? he almost always scores on us. he didnt score on us in either game last season though.. in fact city didnt score a single goal against us last season...
I'm not the FA so I don't make the decisions. If he gets banned for 3 matches.. so be it, I won't lose any sleep.

Yeah almost comical as you defending Shaw and the penalty he got
Only you would think that's not a penalty. Most clear cut pen I have ever seen. But hey, he is a Utd player so it's obviously a dive.

Seriously though how biased must you be to not see that.. I mean cmon. It dosent get much clearer than that.
Most clear cut pen you've ever seen? Thank god you'll never be a referee
If i was the ref i would give a pen for that 100% of the time. The crest on his shirt wouldn't matter.
Looking good guys 👍👍👍
How bad is stone's injury?
Commentator said they understood he was withdrawn just for a poke in his eye. So it's probably nothing.
Sterling! 3-1 Pep has done wonders with that lad!
2-0 let's keep it up lads!
Our u18s thrashed Liverpool 7-0 and our u16s thrashed Burnley 6-0 - future looks bright & blue!!:)
