Gael Clichy confirms his leaving the club. Thanks a bunch Gael!Great servant for the club, deserved to get more calls for France in his prime years but nevertheless was part of our great history. Good luck!
+1
i think everyone whose contracts are due this summer will leave...if any of them were in Pep's plan they would have gotten a contract last January. Pep didn't wanna tell anyone of them this before hand for obvious reasons that they will not perform 100% once they know they are off the boat come summer
Well said, he had his bad moments but he has definitely gave his for us.
@AgueroCity

If rumors are true, Navas is staying as a back-up RB with Zaba and Sagna leaving. With the rest of them, were going to find out this week but really doubt anymore will get contracts.
i just hope anyone that we sign isn't older than 27....signing Nolito when the guy was already 30 was a mistake...signing players at 27 or younger shows they are being signed for least for 5 or 6 years. I don't want any of the 7 to stay we really need a lot of changes after finishing last season 4th and this season 3rd.
http://www.sportingnews.com/soccer/news/guardiola-flies-to-abu-dhabi-to-plan-man-city-overhaul/5difzgbxwjba1nibu3xn1j7s9
Nolito is a sad case. Dude was ballin when he joined us, doing really well and just as much of a hard worker as well as a goal scorer. Eventually Sane benched him for the rest of the season.

As for now, I think Navas staying is a good idea. We won't sign 4 new FBs, Kolarov can play LB and CB when needed and Navas as back-up RB. 2 new starting FBs will come in. As for Willy, I would keep him even though its not likely. He seems to play well under Pep' system but Pep has other plans.
You got third and deservered it. Looked shaky for a while, but you lads pulled it back with a string of good perfomances.

I think the top four is deservered, all though I was suprised to see Liverpool at fourth, my money would have been on United. I guess injuries did it and, what does it say..15 draws? Well damn..

Anyway congrats!
Liverpool had more injury issues and much smaller transfer window..Thats a well deserved 4th place for them. Anyways we will have 5 teams in CL if united win Europa finals
Yeah I thought Liverpool should have been higher up the table, I honestly wondered if we would actually finish in the top 4 but yeah, its a deserving top 4. Pep, Conte, Klopp and Poch better step their sh*t up in UCL next season, we need to do the PL proud.
Anderlecht director saying we could sign Youri Tielemans as the young 20 year old MF is set to leave the club this summer. He impressed me against Utd. Him, along with Fabinho could be the MFs coming in this summer.
Had him in my squad in Fifa couplyears ago before anyone really knew the guy, awesome he is getting. recognition, could be an awesome signing, and he is young.
That 3rd goal played out from the back through midfield typical Pep philosophy and style goal
IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Top 4 secured and thank god, this season is over.
3rd is honestly better than I expected from Pep's first season. And halfway the season, I think it was better than what he could've hoped for either. Spurs and Chelsea dominated this year.
Yup, with the struggles we had 3rd is better than expected. In some points of the season we were even worse than Arsenal but pulled it back.
Kompany came and played well at the right moment for you.
Wolfsburg might get relegated. Two years ago, they nearly won the title with KdB. Just goes to show how much he carried them.

I hope he finds his best form for a whole season next season. Last two games (incl. today) have been good anyway.
Btw, great to see Vince doing so well again :D
Even after all the money we spend on CBs, none have come even close to Kompany and what he brings to our side. If he was fit all season, we would have been in the title race. Defense was the only thing holding us back.
+1
I also think if Kompany was mostly fit then you would have been challenging for the title along with cheslea
i think Kompany cost us 6 million pounds if i remember correctly... it was Mark Hughes's signing
What a crime it would be if Willy Caballero leaves and Bravo stays.

Pep needs to own up to mistakes. Keep Caballero as no.2 (his done well, in fact has been underrated for us), sell Bravo and buy a new no.1 keeper.
You have to keep in mind that come September Willy Caballero turns 36. I think we should have the same rule that Chelsea has, anyone above 30 shouldn't get a contract.
That's ridiculous. We can not judge players just on age. Goalkeepers can go well into their late 30s to early 40s, so not sure why Caballero turning 36 would be an issue. Caballero does not only plays Pep's style of football but is great shot-stopper and can saves Pks as well. Does well whenever called upon. I would give him a one year deal with an option for another year and hold on to him until Angus Gunn is good enough to take over as our no.2.

Pep has to keep in mind, when going into the market. His not going to find many keepers that play his "style" of football. Anyone who comes in will have to learn from scratch.
Apparently were in the lead to sign Fabinho of Monaco. Hopefully its true. The guy is a tank and only 23. Capable of playing as a RB or a CM/DM. The kind of player Pep would love to have on his side.

Were also linked to Bernardo Silva. Very talented young player, would be interesting to see us if Pep manages to steal two of Monaco's jewels.
Everyone said Yaya came to City for money...Yaya just turned down CSL clubs and MLS, he would have made at least 3 times as much in CSL than what he is making right now but he wants to play for a competitive team...shows for Yaya its always football first
Guys like Yaya, Silva, Aguero have given the club more than the club has given them. No one should question their value, especially Yaya.

Yaya is good enough to play in another team in a league with a slower tempo like Serie A but if he stays at City and gets a one year deal with smaller wages, that's find as well. Although he holds an international slot in our team and we can't have too many players from other counties because of the homegrown quota rule.
On that note, just saw an article about Zab man and his contributions, I'll missed the guy so much😢
Yaya was always football first. Nobody was talking about him being after money. A lot of people talk about him having a bad attitude, though. It showed during a lot of games. Regardless, he is and will be a City legend.
When he was getting his contract renewed he was taking some time to renew it and ppl started talking about him trying to grab more money, right around that time City didnt trow a bday party for him so he was upset about that as well, but everyone said he was trying to grab more money
Pep better get Van Dijk. If Chelsea get him, forget the title next season.
why the hell..chelsea need him..chelsea defence already super strong..without him
Yeah, actually I don't think we need him either.. we got Christensen coming back + Ake. We should never fine. What we need is a backup striker imo.
+2
Christensen - Zouma - Ake are our back-up CB's...so it sounds like complete BS.
