So this Chelsea win against United really gives us hopes for the 3rd place.

United and Arsenal will share points. If Chelsea do us (one more) favor by taking down Arsenal we can really go for that 3rd spot.
It's too early to expect "the biscuit"
We must win but saying it more and more makes me think we won't but I'm just going to be optimistic. The biggest worry though for me is if Liverpool win and we lose which would leave them 1 point behind us. Best case scenario tomorrow, we win and 'pool lose.
You gotta win your next game first
yea hope Sam Allardyce won't outsmart us.
Getting 3 points against the Hammers could really cheer this page up.
+1
Yeah you can say that.
Hopefully Chelsea bring it home today
Yeah for sure :! We need this, also tomi display pic is really getting annoying now -_-, what have you done tomi :(
Lol Maestro I bet for City haha
seriously Tomi!
So i normally don't like counting my chicken before they hatch but assuming we get Klopp... do you think that changes the departures? Do certain player now want to stay or maybe different players want to leave? Also what sort of recruitment should we expect? We are heavily booked with southern europeans or south americans so this could be an interesting shift to a northern european style and team make-up.

Personally I would hope that players like Rues, Hummels, ricardo rodriguez, bellarabi, canhaglou, and shin get targeted. Personally I like the products coming out of the german, french and dutch youth teams. Also this could be the injection of youth and hunger we need.
Looks like you will rather get Pep in a year according to Scholes. But will have to face one more year of uncertainty before getting one of the best. Will he be worth the wait?
I think management will be pressured to sack MP and replace him with Klopp. Theirs no way of knowing weather Pep will join City or not but Klopp is to good of a deal to pass up.

If Klopp does join City, I expect an injection of youth to be brought into the team. This club has the financial resources and its not rocket science to fix this City side, Klopp is a smart guy who can attract some quality players to City. We might be able to finally see a balance in our first team. Although I don't know if the departures will stay the same. I do want to see Dzeko, Nasri, Kolarov and Sagna to head out the door. Bring in a CM who can rotate with Yaya, two quality FBs and De Bruyne to replace Nasri. I could see Pozo coming into the first team. I really don't want us to lose Milner.

I am not super keen on Pep coming to City, honestly. We need a mix of tiki taka and belligerence for the EPL. Klopp would be a good person to have to turn things around.

Personally I want Vieira more than anyone else.
^ Don't get me wrong I want Vieira as well but I don't know if his ready. City is a big club with ambitions to get better results in Europe. Klopp took Dortmund to the next level and he could be the man to that for City. Klopp is for now, Vieria is for the future. I'd rather have Klopp as manager with Vieria as assistant manager. I think Viera could learn a thing or two from one of Europe's best managers.
Pellegrini will be here for the next season, so don't get your hopes up!!!
I'm ready to bet Pep comes to City Tomikato

You get to wear Ibra next. Now,that's a significant improvement from Van Persie :D

@Rustic, with his stubbornness and lack of tactical flexibility not to mention his fetish for older players, we are going nowhere. I hope his not here next season!
Lol ManOnDMoon - I am done with bets for a while now. But let me think about it. What are the stakes?

I was joking. I'm done with bets too.
Did you see Porto, last night. what a way they played.
Yes. players like Mangala and Fernando were beasts in that system. Kittens in ours. I do rate Fernando well though. Mangala needs some confidence and better cover to do better next year
jeez Tomi, what have u done? how long you have to do this?
Lol I bet against United for our derby. Bad move
+1
not after loosing 3 games...! how long you have to bear this cross .. lol!
+1
They both just need another season under their belts. Watch Managla and Fernando go beast mode next season. I mean I wanted Demichelis gone during his first season but look at him now, very reliable. I hate the fact that many are already writing off Mangala, his price tag was based on potential not his ability as off now. His still on 23 and raw.
Do you think Pep is coming our way now?
@Rustic - couple weeks
Pep isn't going to leave Bayern until next season, not to mention his already stated he wanted to manage Utd but I just don't see it happening.
The way we are going, I hope you didn't bet to have this till we win next, Tomi!
So Ancelotti, Benitez, Viera or Klopp?

I would love Klopp and be happy with Carlo or Viera. I'd throw hands if Benitez becomes the manager.
+1
Vieira, hands down.

Second choice Klopp/Carlo

No Benitez
+1
I would choose Viera as well. As much as I want a high profile manager, Viera most definitely understand the club a lot more than any of those manager and even more than Pellegrini. His put together an amazing EDS side with lots of stand out players that could be in the first team if he becomes manager. I feel like Viera is the man for the job.

Klopp on the other hand is free now. As much as I want Viera, theirs no doubt it would be hard to resist Klopp. If he does join and manages to bring some of his Dortmund stars to Man City like Gundogan, Hummels and Reus, who the hell is going to say no? Not to mention he also favours young players as well and could take City's youth into whole new level, he brought up so Dortmund youngsters and turned them into top notch quality players. He knows how to work with young players.

+1
On one hand I want a top dog, proven manager, mostly to do better in CL. Ancelotti can be the best out of the lot to achieve in the short term.Vieira is a gamble.
On the other hand I fancy the gamble.
Klopp is maybe a balance between the two.
Klopp will be coming to City and 6 players will depart including yaya, Nasri, jovetic, dzeko and lazy co.
Hummels and reus in and a RB from soton.

Happy days
lol are we getting Klopp?
Never, when the management insists there is nothing wrong with him.
The Kop will be getting Klopp.
Borussia Dortmund confirm coach Jurgen Klopp will leave at the end of the season, having been with the club since 2008
+1
He announced he didn't intend on taking a sabbatical, I think he's your guy if Pelle gets sacked
I was thinking the same thing, he's literally yours for the taking now
Did you guys watch the ATM vs RM match last night.. that's Simone's 4-4-2, the way the mfs run, jeez our guys don't last a minute there..

oh btw, apparently the city management said its not the manager's fault this time, but players... lol!! imagine that.
Its called work ethic. Simone was literally on his feet the entire game, you could also see Mandzukic playing CM at times which is something you'd never see our strikers doing. Not to mention they were glued together as a whole, defended together and attacked together. RM broke into them a number of times but they still managed to stay focused. Gotta respect Simone, his one hell of a manager!
Sorry guys. Just honoring the bet I lost. Don't judge my DP
+1
We're not too lucky with them bets
This time around I was not only unlucky but stupid as well. I should had known the result was going to be like this.
Stop making these damn bets, guys! Every time I see a RVP dp, I'm like "Who the f is this?".
@Moe, one cannot stop putting faith in their team :D

All said and done, I thought we might rise against our neighbors, but did not work. In times like these I feel a Simeone would be a welcome change. No need for all the tiki taka and guile when we cannot defend or even hold the midfield.
@Tomi, I guess you have a point.

Yeah I agree, what I love about Simone is he not only gets you on his side but he urges the team to grind out results. I want manager who's up on his feet, yelling instructions to his team. They way he dismantles Real Madrid and puts on a fight against Barca is scary!
Someone to light the spirit. Right now we are a bunch of lazy ass bozos who don't really know what to do. Only Aguero/Milner/Hart/Silva deserve to play. Out of that, Silva needs to work on his defensive duties.
That tactical discipline that Simeone instills in his players, combined with the quality of players you have/can attract, would put you guys right back up at the top.
@Joey - The one thing that City has failed to do in the last 2 years is inject youth in the squad. An aging squad will fail no matter what the quality. The furor is around the fact that we were all promised a more 'holistic' approach and the club went back to it's oil era tactics.

At this point we do need a change in manager but even more we need a change in club philosophy. We have let far too many young talents go and brought in grand ol men like Sagna, Demichelis while letting our squad age and let young talents like Nastasic go.

It is time we take the plunge and bring in our own boys. Rekik, Rony Lopes, Iheanacho need to be brought back before we pull the gun on big money moves.
Even I thought somehow they will win.

when we talk about aging squad I look at Juventus and admire them.
