Why do we loan players for 2 seasons ? It's understandable for a player whom we don't rate high and can leave(if doesn't develop well) after 2 years like Olivier Ntcham but why to loan 2 seasons to a very lower league team(Belgian side Genk) for a player whom we just signed and rated high like Enes Unal. He could get another loan next year with a better team.
The Belgium league isn't a bad league, its produced some good young players over the years, so I know Enes will be in good hands. Not to mention the first year on him might be a bit hard considering he has to get use to the league but 2 seasons will do him good, he might get minutes and get settled well. Him playing regular football won't derail his chances for Turkey and that might really help his game if he gets called him often for his international side.

If things don't work out in Racing Genk, then he'll probably be sent back.
Anyone is watching Wolfsburg vs Bayern ? That's what you get from KDB unlike Navas, though he missed a shiter at the end of first half.
+1
KDB is just full of confidence and his a game changer, would contribute a lot to the team.

20mil.....per....a year???????? This must be a joke! I don't care who you are, not even Aguero earns that kind of money, dafaq would a manager earn that kind of money for? Don't get me wrong I want Pep to come to City but if his getting paid that kind of money, I'm expecting us to win the freaking treble and nothing less.
Moe66, what's the purpose of having the money, if not spend it? In this case, if the Club can afford to pay that and bring one of the best managers, then I would rather see the Club pay that than save that in the bank, which does nothing to us fans.
+1
I agree with Moe66. Just because you have the money doesn't mean you should be irresponsible about it. We could get loop for a quarter of that.
+1
We don't need him. He is overrated and overpriced.
Why spend that much when it looks like Khessler knows a world class mysterious manager named Mr. Loop
+1
On top of his contract, we need to bring Messi, Xavi and Andreas I. for him to do a little better than MP.
+1
Lol Barracuda, Loop is Khessler's nick name for Klopp.
+2
@Foooty, but at some point the club has to draw the line somewhere, right? or else we just look desperate and you know what, I don't think we need to act like it at all. With Ancelotti, Klopp and even Unai Emery as possible managers, why would we go out and had a manager 20mil a year deal unless he can guarantee us some major trophies. Don't get me wrong I want Pep but 20mil is too much, hell 15mil a year is too much but I'd rather have him come to City then go to Utd tbh, don't want a great manager like him going to Utd.
Lets all remember its preseason and relax.
+1
Haha...certainly!! The amusing part is to see some of these Gooners' comments speculating us falling off of top 4 LOL...
+1
I commented on one of their posts.
Well if they defend the way they did today can't really blame anyone thinking that.
Khessler, it's friendly so result doesn't matter but we're just 8 days from beginning of the season and it's not the first game of the preseason. If we defend on the same way against WBA and Chelsea then you know what will happen ?
Ofcourse and if this defending continues into west brom I will be very upset.
Only person worth being in your back line is Zaballeta and Demichelis. The rest are playing horrible (Kompany too).
+2
Kolarov out! Clichy out! We need to strengthen our defencend come pel, don't be ordinary, we can do better.
I second you Phoenix88.
Based on Kompany's last season and this preseason's form he should not be in starting XI at the beginning of the season.
+1
ive always wondered about this, u have all the money to offer, yet u still have Kolarov and Clichy as ur left backs, other than Kolarovs wicked left shot, during set pieces etc, what else do those two offer?
+2
^ Becoz MP is dumb ass so he likes Kolarov, Clichy, Navas, Sagna, Fernando, even if he doesn't buy any left defender we have EDS player Angelino(plays for NYCFC on loan) who is better than Kolarov and Clichy.

Kompany was very ordinary squad player(defensive midfielder), Mancini made him a lot better player shifting him in center back position and gave him arm band, in return he cost Mancini's job now he is back to his very best i.e. very average squad player. Now he is probably 5th best center half at city after Jason, Cameron Humphreys, Demichelis and Mangala

I would play Jason and Mangala against West Brom.(Considering Demichelis isn't ready to play)
Congrats to Stuttgart, they certainly played well and deserved the win! But let's not overreact now.

ManCityBlue, That's very disrespectful to call a manager that won you 2 trophies in his 1st season and came in 2nd to the best team last year, don't you think?

Xgooner4everX, oh, please...save it, how many Manchester City games have you watched to say that about those two, ah?

Oh, and I can assure that City in addition to "all the money to offer" can offer a player far more things than Arsenal can at the moment.
+1
MCB are you serious about Kompany, very harsh words for our captain
+1
Clichy used to be our player so yes we have some idea of how he plays.
+1
we've needed new cover full backs for quite some time. And Kompany 5th best? C'mon you're being emotional.
@Gunnzo,LOL...and that was how many years ago...keep in mind that was his internship years...he has contributed a lot to the 1st team (City's) success since his move.
Wasn't Kompany back in England with his wife for a while? I'm sure its just a bit rustiness considering he wasn't with us all throughout pre-season and Mangala just returned from an injury. I won't really worry to much about today's result.

As for FBs, we really do need a new LB. I used to think we need a young LB but now I'm starting think we need a really good LB because our LBs aren't good enough. Clichy is good imo, his a bit inconsistent but his a least better then Kolarov. Kolarov is just an attacking player, really more of winger then a LB.
Stuttgart's first goal - A simple goal kick, one headed flick, a player runs between Mangala and Kompany then bang goal. Wth it is ?
He made 185 appearances for arsenal and left when he was 26. He's made about 85 for city. He's a good player I was only saying he really hasn't changed that much Since we watched him play for us so you don't have to get high and mighty about us making judgments about his ability.
Dreadful game so far
George Evans is our best player. Kompany needs to shut his mouth and work in defending, he and Kolarov are our worst players so far today including Mangala.
Mangala must be subbed asap. Bony is rusty. This is not preseason it's 1 week to start of the season ffs
+1
You're right Moon. 49M player plays like 4.9 M player.
+1
Bony's case is understandable, he was sick, didn't travel in preseason, trained with team only when they returned from Vietnam and this was his first game of the preseason.
Yeah Bony's form worries me
lol our defense is a joke
Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic has joined Serie A side Inter Milan, however both clubs have reported the terms of the deal differently.

Thanks and good luck to him !!!
+1
Good luck to him!!
Quiz: Which Premier League manager are you?
http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/33609642

I scored 77 and it suggested I'm like Brendon Rodgers. :)
+2
I'm Tony Pulis haha. It must be the Italian defensive background. Always liked the guy
Brendon:(
