Just for thought I would love us to promote some youngsters next season. Marcos Lopes and Emyr Huws could stack our quality and bring some homegrown talent to this squad, about time we did that. Huws has been vital for Birmingham City and I think we all know the gem that lies in Lopes. Also bring in John Guidetti as our 4th choice striker. I want us to focus on getting a major quality CB signing this summer and a young back up RB with quality who can take the rains for Zabaleta when he needs a good rest.

CB: Either Mangala or Vertonghen
RB: If Richards leaves I would love to bring PSV Santiago Arias. Talented kid!
Guidetti practically didn't play for ages, he needs to be loaned to a proper attacking team, I don't care where that is as long as I hear news that Guidetti is playing. No more Stoke please.

We have something very promising in Lopes and Huws, get Rekik back as well. But then, we never played Boyata, so I don't know what to make of all this.

New: I quite fancy Vertonghen for versatility. Other than that I don't assume he will be good with Kompany just because they're Belgian. I know nothing of Belgium
Their is a reason why Vertonghen was in PFA Team of the Year last season in his first PL season. His not just versatile but his a strong intimidating CB with pace and height. His no push over this guy I tell you, his a rock who plays a lot like Vinne and the fact that his Belgium and he knows Vinnie well would be a major bonus for us considering their is chemistry between them already and the fact that his very familiar with the PL in itself. I think he would be a steal of a buy! He wants CL football and we have that and a starting position vacant for a worthy CB. The reason I want Vertonghen is because Mangala isn't going to be as easy as we hope. PSG are looking to bring the French CB back to France and he could sign for them as well.
Sadly there is no return date for Silva, Navas or Nastasic in the physic room, does that mean this season they won't be coming back?
They will be rushed back, you mean.

Nastasic was due back, then he's never back
If Silva's injury is going to take some time then by all means I would rather not see him rushed back to action. With the world cup right around the corner he needs to be fit and ready to play for Spain. Yaya Toure will be back by the Palace game but I don't think we need to rush him into it and rest him so he can be fresh by the Everton game the following week.
The FFP is such a joke to me
I don't know what you guys think but in my opinion was created in faver
Of 5 or 6 clubs and all the rest have to suffer so much .
I suggest clubs voluntary leaving Uefa and create there own new much better league
And leave BM , BR, RM, MU, JUV and LIV play where stupid league and win all the time
Because what's what uefa wants especially people like Platini and Franz Beckenbauer .
How is it ok when BM gets all the best players from the bundesliga but if other team does it it's so bad for football ? I just don't get that
+3
The reason why FFP is breathing down our necks is because clubs like us and PSG spend more then we make thanks to our owners. Clubs like Bayern Munich, that money comes from their own club. They can spend that much because they make that much. Although they are buying out their league, first Gotze and now Lewa. I use to love the BR vs BM matches but not anymore.

Exactly ones again how is that fair play???
What happenes if you want to create a new club?
It will never be successful because it does not have the fan base
And no one will buy there jerseys and never be able to make money
How is that good for football ? To be honest most fans are glory hunters and spoiled . They like teams that are already big no one wants to wait
For them to get there. The English league is the best for a reason .
Thanks to this rich businessmen that invest in football now we have 4-5 teams competing for the title and that makes it good for football in my opinion ,
I don't want to see only Man U and Liverpool win the league all the time just because have more fans from Asia that buy there kits online

^ Completely mirror your thoughts man. Say this on a rival forum and you will get a lot of jargon about how a club needs to be 'self sufficient'.

The big boys club will try all they can to induce financial morality as their excuse, while the fact remains that we are talking about England, a country who embodies capitalism and has Barclays sponsoring the Premier League.

Companies are not always born organically. They get taken over and redefined. Same goes with clubs. But hey, I never said it was going to be fair.

^Not me, I'm in favour of abolishing FFP rules. it's well documented on the Arsenal page, though I might be the only one to think like that.

what do u guys think?
Its Mou being Mou either his bluffing or trying to save himself the embarrassment before it happens. Either way I don't think Chelsea is going to beat Liverpool at home, Liverpool are just the more in form side and Mou I think knows that so his going to put his focus on trying to manage a way to win against Atletico.
It is over guys. You are depending upon Mou to deliver us. Ain't happening. Might seem unfair that Mou will play a weak team, but hey, Liverpool has deserved the title.

I think we just need to regroup for next season and look to win everything, without thinking about the title. It will be a miracle if at all that Pool lose to Chelsea and we win all games, including Everton.
If Liverpool beat Chelsea I throw the towel. Otherwise no. We win all games and most likely the league on goal difference
guys like Mancini said "Never say Never"!!!!
Well I am not saying throw in the towel. We have a mathematical chance. However, it is very unlikely. We should just focus on winning.
I don't expect Mou to do Pelle any favours lol
never give up hope until its mathematically impossible.
Let us go and win at Crystal Palace first..
So if Chelsea beat Liverpool and we win our 4 remaining matches we win the title.

Are you guys confident that we are capable of getting 3 points from Palace away (5 straight wins, tight defense, no Silva/Yaya), Everton away, and Villa and West Ham at home?

Personally I think we might struggle to break down a Pulis team w/o our magician pulling the strings, and I don't even remember the last time we got a result at Goodison. In addition, everything seems to be going Liverpool's way and not only will Chelsea be w/o Hazard, Cech, & Terry, they'll also probably be more focused on the 2nd leg with Atleti… anyway, thoughts? Do you think we have another miracle in us?
Mourinho already said he is going to rest key players on Sunday and will focus on Wednesday's game.
So it seems no favor from Chelsea and Mourinho
That's true but Mourinho does love his mind games, I'm hoping this is just another case of him trying to take pressure off his squad.
I doubt Chelsea will beat Liverpool, no offence. They won't have Cech or Terry, both rocks at the back, and with Liverpool scoring so freely, doubt they can pull off a win at Anfield.

Having said that, our games are also difficult, I mean Everton away is daunting already. We always struggle against a Moyes led Everton, now the Martinez led Everton is even scarier lol.

Damn those games against Cardiff and Villa :( That's where we lost the title tbh
it's not even funny how many chances Chelsea and City threw away this season lol it's Liverpool's year

Everton is fighting for the 4th place, so they will make it very difficult.
what a snorefest cl semi. but a good result for chelsea
They hardly made any attempt, Mou's plan was not to let ATM score, so they defended the whole time.
@ManOnDMoon it is a deal.

what what what what?
KingLucas accepted a bet.
If we lose to Palace I will change my profile pic to a naked pic of Tony Pulis for 1 week. But if we win, he will

Tony Pulis.... why oh why..!!
I would love to be in David Moyes shoes right now. 5 year contract! Now that's what I call a paid vacation!
there was a clause in the contract so he only gets one year payment. he had to make it to top four to be entitled to the full payout
Sad day for City fans

Moysie will be missed;(

I hope Silva's injury is not that bad he's so vital right now.
Apparently he's been nursing that ankle for weeks, hasn't been practicing and has been in pain for days after each game he's played (reason he couldn't play against Sunderland, it was only a few days after our previous game).

So my question is, 70' into the game, we're completely in control of the match and both teams look content to let it finish at 3-1. Why didn't Pellegrini take him off? I know I have the luxury of hindsight, but it seems a no-brainer. I'm really worried about our ability to break down Palace without Silva or Yaya.
