Glad Pep is rotating and giving others players time.
4 match-ban for Aguero and 3 for Fernandinho it is. Huge blow.

http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/38207144
Fernandinho is a bigger blow for us. His a very important player in the MF for us. We will have to make due with Fernando and Fabian Delph.
Sack Pep and get Hart back.
+1
Hart knows a whole lot more about the EPL than Bravo, should have atleast give him a chance, Bravo has yet to convince me he is a better shot stopper than Hart, which for me is more important.
+1
True. Hart was a PL goalkeeper. He was build for this league, sure his not a ball playing goalkeeper but in this league being a shot stopper is a hell of lot more important than being a ball playing goalkeeper. Not to mention Hart is 6'5 while Bravo is about 6'1. Hell even Willy has done better than Bravo this season, Bravo better step the hell up.
+2
Over the past couple seasons defending, passing too slow and killer finishing from chances created has been our main problem.

The season when we edged MU to the title was our best season in terms of defending, that season everyone defended well and it was probably one of Hart's best season.

Our next season we played well but our defence was shambles, we out scored our opponents, and had a bit of luck with liverpool slipping up.

If we are to get the title again Pep main focus should be our defending, because for me if an opponent can't score, it's a big problem for them, and I believe with our squad we can muster atleast a goal or two.
+1
That's because we had a fit Kompany but most importantly, our FBs were pretty awesome then. Zabaleta was a beast, Clichy contribute more in attack and was more lethal. The fact that we have not replaced or fixed the FBs role hasn't helped our back line or CBs. This has forced Pep to play a back 3 formation and use Navas nad Sane as make shift wing backs.

Take Spurs for example, it goes to show how strong a back 4 will look with 2 top notch hard working quality FBs. Alder/Vert in the back and Rose/Walker in the FB roles. That was the strongest back four last season. It's not just the CBs at this point, we also need new FBs.
So what do you think we should do, give our FB youngsters more play or find new FBs/Cbs in the window? What happened to deneyer? Is he still on loan?
Well I would live to see new FBs but its best to wait until next summer. Zaba, Sagna and Clichy contracts run out and Kolarov will have 1 year left of his current deal. I think its best to wait until the summer to figure the situation out. Although Angelino and Maffeo are not far off, they will be used but still very young and need more time to develop.

This January, I would like to see another CB. If were going to lock a top 4 place at the least, we gotta stop leaking in easy goals. Fact is losing Hart who basically saved us 10-15 points per season is hurting us, the man was a beast. Although, now we have to get used to Bravo and hope he can step up but one player we can't rely on staying fit is Kompany. If Otamendi or Stones is hurt due to a long term injury, were left with Kolarov and that would be nightmare.

As for Denayer, I don't know weather Pep will really bring him back. Moyes seems to use him as a DM now at Sunderland and his coming off the bench proving himself week in and out. He seemed pretty frustrated that City loaned him yet again and this point, I don't see him wanting to come back. He will want to stay at a club where he can grow and Sunderland is looking like the right club for him at the moment truth be told.

+1
If Pep is adamant about using this back 3, which I doubt will be the last time we see it, we need another CB. I think today Stones and Kolarov weren't bad at all, it was Otamendi who struggled today. We need a strong big man to in the middle with Stones and Otamendi on either side. Kolarov can play LWB because Sane shouldn't really start in that role at all. His not ready.
Did you see Stones trying to trick Costa inside the box in 1st half and lose the ball? That was so unnecessary
+1
Overall, we might have played well or at least created more goal scoring chances than Chelsea. It would have been different story if we took the chances.

It's insane from both Augero and Fernandinho. It seems Augero is trying to make number of games he usually misses from injuries by red cards this season
2 red already, that#s not like Kun. Do you think there could be something wrong with Aguero in the background?
Pressure and frustration from them. Although that doesn't excuse their actions. Aguero deserves a ban, wtf was he thinking??? Fernandinho I do feel for a bit, he tried to break things up until Cesc smacked him and then he lost his cool. He got played right into Cesc hands but I'm not surprised, Cesc is always trying to bait others so they get sent off from the game.
+1
Cesc smacked him? Really that was a smack? Im not defending what Cesc did...but it wasn't even close to smack and he go well deserved yellow for that
Cesc slapped him after Fernandinho was unnecessarily grabbing his neck from the back. Fernandinho was in the wrong imo but probably just frustration more than anything.

I'm more shocked about Aguero who could have ended Luiz's career.
Yes Fernandinho was in the wrong grabbing Cesc on the back of the neck but you can see Fernandinho was trying to pull players out of the situation until Cesc gave him a little slap on the cheek. Now any man knows theirs nothing more disrespectful then another man giving you slap on the face.
Quite disappointment in sanes performance today, he seems to be lacking the confidence to beat his man at the moment. i know chelsea is a great side but at times his touches are too casual for me. needs to do a lot more.
Yes, he was poor.
It was a really intense game it's a shame how it ended
IMO it was a good end to end game...it always looked like we will get chances against this city defense and we took it very well

Couple of bad referee decisions and missed chances cost the game....Also, i think it will be a big miss to lose Aguero and Fernadnhio for 3 games.

Good luck and see you guys at the bridge.
Actually it's 4 games ban for Augero since this is the 2nd red for the season.
Fabregas such a scum
+1
he seemed calm to me.
+2
I think the replays will show something more. It looked like Fabrigas slapped Fernandinho.
+1
ok

Yalho if he really slapped...FA will find out no worries
FA? They are a bunch of morons but Chelsea will be fine without Fabrigas. No worries.
with so many cameras these days nobody can escape a slap bro...im sure it will be investigated
Remember the stamp on Fabrigas by Lallana last season? What did the FA do? Nothing. It all depends on the refs verdict. Again i think he slapped him but I could be wrong though.
I think it was a soft slap but he shouldn't have done it
looks like he got yellow for that ?
https://twitter.com/sametbastas/status/805058622346690560

Not a slap that would provoke Fernadinho to do what he did...checkout the highlights.
Don't think so.

You cannot put your hands on the opponent's face like that. That is a straight red according the rules but Fernandinho is stupid to react like that. I'll give you that.
You are so naive
by that logic all 11 players will red for going after each other after Augero challenge...literally everyone was pushing and holding each other by neck.

I dont think its a red card offense...he go deserved yellow for that.
Agree to disagree.
