We will play Boro away if we go through to the next round.
Replay is unnecessary extra game. I think, Nolito and Delph aren't good enough to be our squad players.
I have a feeling that Augero will be dropped from XI against Monaco and we will play without striker.
NILito was never good enough for us, i don't know why we signed him in first place when the guy was already in his 30s ... one think i like about Chelsea is that they have a new rule under their owner of not signing players over 30 years old and also not extending contracts of players that are over 30
Feel so bad for Jesus :(
Dzeko with a hat trick away at Villareal. Pleased for him!

Guys, we had 4 good strikers at some point, even Tevez fell out of favour.
Good to know Kelechi is available.

Only Pep could have tarnished Aguero, but it's not like we have Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and all the rest. I blame Pep for his bad man management
Good on Dzeko, glad his doing well for Roma.

We had some good strikers in our days but Pep ain't a fan of every striker. In fact I'm sure he would rather sign a false #9 rather than a striker. He just has his own way of doing things. Pep will make tough calls if he has to, he already shipped Hart out, if Aguero was next in line he would too. Although now he needs Aguero just like he needed Yaya when Gundogan got injured. Makes you wounder if Gundogan and G. Jesus weren't injured, Yaya would have been shipped off already in January and Aguero would still be on the bench. As much as I love Pep, there are parts of him that are really ruthless.

Glad Kelechi is back in the picture. I do love his finishing, great young player.
Clearly, Aguero was unsettled from the start of the season. How is it possible he collected 2 red cards

I don't see Conte sidelines Hazard, I don't see Wenger benching Sanchez or Ozil. Trust is gone from our team. Hell, Mourinho puts his trust in Ibra, that's the way it should be

Guys, give me 1 good reason for the following random points:
- Aguero is not the main man
- Kelechi should not play when Aguero is out for 4 games
- Kolarov is an amazing centre back
- Bravo is better than Hart
- Fit Kompany sits on the bench
- David Silva is captain material
+2
Tbf tho, Aguero has had to change his style as well. Our team isn't just an attacking team as everyone thinks so. We have to defend together and press for everything, Aguero won't have players to link up with all the time, Silva and KDB in Pep's formation will have their hands full doing their jobs. Aguero had great chemistry with Silva and Yaya but now that Silva is playing a deeper role, he'll have to rely on the outside strikers like and Sterling to play off of, lets just hope he goes on a goal-scoring streak from this point. I do believe Aguero is still our main man, Pep sees him as a world class player but he needs to adjust fast.

For Kelechi, he isn't a great ball playing striker. His more of a poacher, great position and ability to strike the ball but link up play is still tough on him.

Kolarov is favored because he can play from the back and we all know how Pep likes CBs that are good on the ball. The defending bit has always been an issue but tbh he makes less mistakes than Stones. Its kind of picking the best of the worst.

Bravo and Hart was the worst possible call. I don't care what anyone says. Its not even like Bravo or Willy have to time on the ball when they have possession, in the PL teams press, they don't sit back. So this ball playing keeper philosophy was a big fail. That's why Willy starts more games, not because he can also play the ball with his feet but because he can actually stop a shot.

Kompany is made of glass. Pep made the mistake of rushing him, I guess he doesn't want to push him back into the game too early. Hard to tell when he will play but his done really well when he has played for us. Pep might be waiting to play him against Monaco, Idk?

David Silva is not captain material, I agree 100%. Although the captaincy has been going between Zaba (when he plays) and Silva. Although who is really captain material on our squad now? A player that does make the XI? Anyone? No, not a lot of candidates to choose from.
- Aguero is not the main man
Pep screwed up here. Worst case, if Aguero is not the preferred option upfront, I still think he should play off the striker or little deeper. There is no way a fit Aguero should be sitting on the bench, unless he really needs to rest for the next game. I understand benching him for a game or two to light a fire under his ass - but 3 times in a row is madness. Now it will always seem like Aguero is back ONLY because Jesus was injured - removing all trust the striker has in Pep. Trust plays the biggest role for strikers and their confidence. Pep screwed up big time here IMO

- Kelechi should not play when Aguero is out for 4 games
Pep clearly does not trust Kelechi to lead the line. The fact is - Kelechi is a part midfielder, part striker which should suit Pep's system but for whatever reason he is out. I think Pep does not rate his quality

- Kolarov is an amazing centre back
He is an amazing distributor of the ball, no questions asked about that. Pep loves that and uses him exactly for that. To be honest, his defending has improved 2% as well

- Bravo is better than Hart
Bigger blunder than benching Aguero. If you guys notice, Caballero is not playing the 100% passing game. He hoicks it up the field when in doubt. Also guys - do you think this back passing BS is having us build attacks? To me it seems like Bravo passes it to the FB and get a shitload of pressure in return, while our midfield is left stranded anyways. Maybe Pep's intentions are good but execution is complete b******s at this point?

- Fit Kompany sits on the bench
Unbelievable. Hart, Aguero, now Kompany. WTF. Clearly Kompany is comfortable with the ball i don't see any reason why he cannot play

- David Silva is captain material
No, he is not. He should not be. Silva is our magician, let him weave his magic. Don't tarnish his focus with captaincy.
+3
- Aguero is not the main man
He is the main man even for Pep, by benching him he is trying to teach him a lesson to behave or else you are gone....Aguero thinks he is untouchable...Aguero used to show up late to a lot of training sessions under Pellegrini, so he would get fines for it, but he wouldnt care and just say "oh well i will score a hatrick this weekend and everyone will be happy" he doesn't get the fact that showing up late is bad example not just of yourself but to others too. But Pellegrini is a humble coach so he just fined him and moved along. That crap will not work with Pep, because he kicked Ibra out of Barca when the guy was driving his Ferrari to training even though Pep had a rule that no sports car to the training but the basic Audi that they got from their sponsor....If he lets Aguero to get away with things like that then other players in the locker room will not pay Pep with respect and do whatever they want as well...As a coach you have to show who the boss it.

- Kelechi should not play when Aguero is out for 4 games
He was given several chances but he didnt score...its football my friend you don't score you don't play as simple as that.

- Kolarov is an amazing centre back
Kolarov is definitely better than Ottamendi IMO, plus he is really good with the ball, even better than some of our midfielders, thats why Pep prefers him. His passes are more accurate, he rarely looses possession.

- Bravo is better than Hart
Bravo is better on the ball, he can pass. He passes are more accurate, but his goal keeping skills i don't know. Maybe he was used to the Barcelona style where he was barely tested but in the PL you are tested a lot. I think for Pep's plans Courtois would fit best, he is good on the ball and has the best goalkeeping skills

- Fit Kompany sits on the bench
I think its because we won 7 games in the last 10, so thinks are improving, Pep doesn't want to change anything yet.

- David Silva is captain material
Most of our players are spanish speaking so perhaps thats why? But he doesn't speak english i don't know how he communicates with the referee when there is an argument
Can Pep bring Thiago from Bayern to City. I would love that lol!
Wasn't he the one who sold him in the first place?
Nope, he's the one who got him in Bayern.
Yeah, I would like him to also bring him from Bayern to City.
He will cost 100m. Bayern director already slapped that price on him last summer or so, labelling him indispensable
That ship has been passed, I still can't able to forgive pep for thiago case.I mean why did he push him out of his childhood club for his just three years Stint at Bayern. Now Bayern won't sell him anything less about than 100 m tho 100 m look like the price of average player ever since pogba deal happened, lol.
To be honest it`s not like Pep did anything wrong - it was a bargain of the century for him to use the sell on clause Thiago had in his contract and the fact that Thiago liked Pep and wanted to develop under him (BTW it was Barca`s own making - if I remember correctly the clause for Thiago was really low because he didn`t play 15 matches or more in a season - the manager and board forgot about it - he needed like 2 matches more for the clause to remain at a very high level and Pep would not be able to splash 3 times as much on him back then even at Bayern - Pep obviously remembered :) ).
Agree with Kaplica. How is it Pep's fault? It's our boards fault for being bunch of idiots and not making sure Thiago played enough games. When his price dropped, he was bound to leave. It was either United or Bayern and he went to Pep.
+1
As i said in barca forum, its really silly still people thinks that our board didn't know that his clause would come so low if he didnt play two more games since the same board which put a clause on him.

We have never been a selling club and we are normally not playing dirty games with those who wanted to leave.Look at the transfer of Pedro, sanchez and cesc; we have sold them for peanuts compare to the current inflated market and we set alves leave for free ,villa for 1.5 million, lol. There are hell lot of things that our board decision went wrong, but i dont blame them for thiago issue especially board asked him to be patient just like iniesta and xavi who patiently waited for their chance.

I blame pep on this transfer as thiago just recently said it was pep who's trust that made him to leave this club.I wouldn't mind if he takes thiago to city ,but he gave best spanish talent in recent times for peanuts to one of most powerful team in Europe.

I still love watching him play, but i dont want him to wear barca jersey; that doesnt seems pretty and remember how he celebrated like he won a world cup when bayern won aginst us in meaningless friendly!
Question: was pep to look after bayern's or Barca's interest while serving as the bayern coach? Obviously Thiago wanted a change in situation and pep helped convinced him of a move. Just like he did Xavi; did you know that the great Xavi was bayern bound before pep convinced him to stay? Isn't pep allowed to go after players he deems possible and integral to his plan and current situation? Even if pep could convince Thiago of a move now, we have got him tied to a long contract.
^ I am not arguing about whether pep is right on thiago or wrong, am just saying pep is to blame for Thiago transfer from barca perspective.

Remember man utd fans went mad when Tevez shifted from united to city? Tevez was right to move on and city was right to take him,but it was a wrong choice from united fans perspective.
Oh that was what you meant, gotcha. Absolutely right on that and it baffles me as to why la Liga players have a release clause in the their contracts.
Still can't see how you can blame Pep. Tevez went to a direct rival while Thiago went to one of the top teams in a different league. If anyone should be blamed it's our stupid board for not playing him a few more games.
Carli Lloyd from the US Women's National Team signs for City's women. Nice!

Glad we aren't on that end of that PSG trashing, but on real PSG Played some really good football.
They did. So weird that they are not bossing it in the French Liege. Rabiot was awesome, Verrati and Matuidi were good as always and the wings were electric with Di Maria & Draxler. They also kept MSN under wraps, but the real battle was won in the midfield.

The fact that we have beaten both these teams once in the past year makes me think that we have come a long way as a club. We wouldn't have dreamt of doing that earlier.
+2
It's true, we can go toe to toe with the best if we just play our game and put in the work.

But I don't think we could have managed against that Psg with our make shift back line, we seriously have to get a solid Cb if Kompany is out, and a solid partnership going, as well as two good young Fbs similar to our wingers.

Also Veratti and Matuidi are too good, I love that midfield pair.
@Silva, but Kompany is not out at all. Pep is just not playing him :D
+1
Haha, he's out.
Matudi won that MF, Verrati is class and Rabiot had a sick game but Matudi won every single second ball that came into the MF. He set the tempo, adjusted from defense to offense in no time. The man has got some stamina!
+1
Now watch Barca try and poach PSG's midfield. That was the biggest taste of their own medicine EVER.
Poor Jesus.
Out for the rest of the season. Back to reality for City.

However, I do think Sane has also made a difference and City can still keep the intensity going with Aguero at the helm anyways
I heard 2-3 months. Could be back just before the end of the season. What a bummer! His been doing really well for us, brought a much needed energy to our team and looked like all the boys were behind him.

Aguero will need to step it up and really drive this team, although Sane has been the unsung hero for us. I wasn't sure what to think of him when he joined and couldn't really produce but his such a talent.
fractured metatarsal. aka broken foot. ouch.
This reminds me of Gundogan, as soon as we are seen the best of a player the sneaky injury comes in :/
Damn, Monaco is not far from now. Really nervous, that team is doing really well in Ligue 1 and has actually beaten Spurs, a team we've failed to beat this season.
Bruh no sense in worrying football is played on the day and anything can happen, if they are playing better than us on the day we still could win that's football sometimes, I just hope our front 3 is still fit by then.
They have scored 75 goals in league play. PSG is at 50. With City's defensive issues, they might be a handful.
we have scored over 50 goals in a league thats much harder
@Silva, your right it a game played a certain day and the outcome is unknown. Hopefully for our-sake it goes our way.

@Franky, Yeah they've been very impressive. They are topping Ligue 1 atm and looking good on all fronts. Their defensive is solid and their attack is killing it. They've actually done really well the last few seasons in UCl, very underrated squad.
Can someone tell me the last time we scored from outside the box? The only player I see that shoots from outside the box with good accuracy is Kevin, and his rate of shooting from outside the box has decreased alot since coming back to the PL, the last distance shot I saw Aguero score from outside the box was a shot against Swansea on his debut for us lol, poacher goals are ok but we need more skill traits in our players we cant pass the ball into the goal all the time.
Kevin and Yaya can both score from outside. Pep don't allow that nonsense though LOL
Yaya has scored a s**t ton from outside the box.

@Tomi, lol! Pep certainly wouldn't allow that bullshit in our team. If your gonna take a shot, you better f**kin score.
I know Yaya has scored some for us last couple seasons but I meant this season, I don't know playing possesion football is all well and good but it's also good to have something in the locker to surprise our opponents if the possesion and all the fancy play doesn't work out.
